Well, there are pros and cons in using crypto as well as fiat on gambling. For the most part, I am only thinking of what's convenient and so there are times and games in which I use fiat and there are also games in which I use crypto. I cannot use fiat in online casinos because of certain reasons but I can easily use crypto. On the other hand, I also cannot use crypto when gambling outside the internet. I mostly use fiat.

Buying bitcoin every week is a good strategy only if it's price remain at a low price for consecutive weeks or continuously decreasing. We all have our own strategy. What we think works best for us. But this strategy are for those who are financially stable and can afford to buy bitcoin every week. If only I could, then I would. But I already accept that I ain't rich like others who can buy bitcoin per week.
buying bitcoin is good, but we need to think that bitcoin and other altcoins aren't the same in prices each week, sometimes this week it has @7300 then next week it will be @7500 then you will be having @200 price increase in that week, so I think it is good strategy but for me, I will wait for bitcoin to go @7000 then will buy a many of it rather than buying each week. |

Long term has the ability of "ease of mind" where you don't basically work for your money, you don't worry about what to do and how to do it and if there is a better way to do it or what you should research or if any new news could change the new thing you do etc etc etc. Day trading have the "possibility" of making more money, now don't get me wrong its not possible to make more money most of the time but at least it has that ability.
So I prefer long term much better, its just easier for me and I don't have to do anything at all, just buy bitcoin and thats it, there is literally no step 2 in this process just step 1 where you buy bitcoin, I may end up not selling until I actually retire but I have a secret hope that maybe I won't even cash out than and just leave all my coins to my kids? That could be really awesome and could change their lives so much as well.
Long term is very risky too, we dont know till when do we need to wait till the coin we are holding is still existing in the market, sometimes we just need to sell the coin we are holding if we feel that their support is no longer functioning and there are no updates for the progress of their project. We need to monitor it on order for us not to left behind if we want to long term hold. |

Any type of addiction may or may not be gambling, because all addicts can do something horrible to the extent that it costs life and others. I'm gambling but I've made sure I'm gambling moderately because I don't want to be so addicted to gambling and I haven't done anything as dumb as what OP said. Gambling should only be treated as another way to have fun and enjoy to avoid serious addiction. Because in a long term you can never make a living.

Never lose your money, yes I've really learned this from being a gambler. Maybe it's very easy to make money from gambling but it doesn't really make it and you're at the highest risk of losing all your money so when I want to place bets mostly I'll try not to deposit any new money I'll just play with what I've got and if I'm lucky to win I can make it big if I don't have to.

Quite right if you set yourself a target and play and have a self discipline then you would be out once you win that amount and would not be a playing . This will help you to as you can fulfill other needs or pay off your debts if any taken from this money . I will not give him money, because he is not at his stable mindset and and in good condition.
