401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin very Big problem on: January 01, 2021, 09:57:07 PM
I want to clarify somethings for you. When we talk about cryptocurrencies, we are mainly talking about decentralization which mean enabling people to launch their own projects, evading and running away of the centralized ecosystem. You want some authorities to control the process of launching new projects and if that takes place and they can put laws to prevent a cryptocurrency from being traded, do you really know what does that mean? It means that they can shut down or stop btc and the other altcoins, do you get satisfied if that happens? I must say no, you won't be happy. It's your responsibility to check and never do any financial transactions with parties that you don't really trust.
I think a lot of people still don't understand the fact that decentralization in crypto investment is the best thing and regulating the system will cause a lot of harm to the network than prevent crypto scammers and it better for every investor/user to improve their knowledge than hoping for regulation/centralization.
Nevertheless, Bitcoin cannot be shut down and cannot be centralized cause it founder on a decentralized system and I think to prevent future complication which may affect the Bitcoin network was the reason Satoshi make his identity to be unknown and also leave the Bitcoin duty for the community to handle.
Bitcoin existence was indeed a big success in terms of decentralization and anonymity which do really goes opposite into banking sector that people had been get used to since the beginning of time.
Bitcoin existence was a huge thrive and the perfect sample of a good monetary system which make IMF advised Central Banks to create Digital National currency but Bitcoin is pseudonymity and never anonymity, to make it anonymous it requires some other third parties service (tumblers).

Even some projects had already been regulated or even with Bitcoin but doesnt mean it is happening internally, those are just on the platforms or companies that do get involved with it.
That's not regulation of Bitcoin but regulation of a certain platform(exchange sites etc) licensed by the government and Bitcoin can only be regulated if it not decentralized.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin will Fly on: January 01, 2021, 09:36:23 PM
Quote from: hulla link
The reason why it slowly dying is because of Charlie Lee public declaration of selling all his holding and major investors decided to sell their holding either to avoid exit scam since the coin creator decided to sell his holding.
Charlie sold to avoid any appearance of having a conflict of interest.  Not only that, he told everyone he was going to sell and why.   It is ridiculous to say otherwise considering he has remained working on the coin for years.
He claimed to have sold all his holdings to avoid future conflict but him selling his holding was what trigger the future conflict that's hunting the LTC surge/investors trust in the market because he don't do the appropriate announcement and if you're aware of the situation you'll know that there was a lot of discussion about it in the communities.

Exit scam lol ridiculous.
That's what a lot of investors believe till now and a DeFi project owner that does the same thing last year also regret it. The only ridiculous here is a project owner selling all his holding and announcing it publicly the community always misunderstand it.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: January 01, 2021, 09:04:59 PM
According to the information provided by the OP they are into the business back in the early days of cryptocurrency and they offer the 0 house edge to give back to the community but they don't understand the crypto world is changed and gambling enthusiasts don't believe in free money traded with an unknown coin/site that's not safe.

I don't think the world has changed.
When i said the crypto world changed, i was referring to what gamblers particularly on this forum watch for before trying out a gambling site is different to before when the OP site gained gamblers attention back then.

It seems to me that people have never confused the concept of "activity based on enthusiasm" and some activity related to money, where reliability comes first.
You are right.

The creators of this project need to clearly understand what audience they are targeting - either enthusiasts or serious gamblers, it seems to me that the combination will not work here.
You understand what i am trying to say here because the creators of this project was trying to catch both enthusiasts and serious gamblers. And, they plan to target enthusiasts some change need to be done from their end.

But in gambling business everything talks about Money and nothing care about feeling ,
In business the money aspect is important but that doesn't mean nothing care about feelings if that's how it is some gambling site won't have integrated features to help gambling addiction or also open a free contest on this forum where people free money.

The creator of each Businesses Looks for the possibilities in which they can lure gamblers in any kind , either Enthusiastic or Serious gambler what matters is how much they will spend and how long they will cater the site.
Of course, thats the number one priority of every long existence business.

So what matters most 0% house edge is really something that Players might understand first than just taking advantage of the offer
The OP has explained the offer but it doesn't seem fair from my end.

But isn't it better if they can lure both ? they attract Serious gambler while the Enthusiasts is also enjoying ?
It is better but not for what they offer because serious gamblers cant accept their terms of payment cause they usually want to withdraw to be treated honestly and fast.

And also the Enthusiast Gambler is prone to becoming serious gambler
Yes, you can find the two in a single individual.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the long awaited bull run? on: January 01, 2021, 08:17:31 PM
Correct, while an expensive lesson many investors learned right then that all the promises that altcoins gave to them were empty and when given the opportunity the developers of those cons will scam them knowing they could for the most part get away with it, so when they came back to the market thinking they could scam investors again they have found out that the interest in their projects has disappeared and except for newbies most established members of this market are never going to believe their lies once again.
Investors lost interest in the altcoin only for a moment because they understand already that the bullish market will start from Bitcoin so there aim to capitalize the coin which is used by the institution as reserve currency and despite the circumstance investors are still interested in some altcoin but ICO offering the only scheme investors are not interest in due to many scam activities.
I will have to disagree with that, once most investors get burned by altcoins they will never touch them again since they will understand that if they want to have a decent chance at keeping their capital and increase it then bitcoin is by far the best choice in this market, just look at the market today, bitcoin reached a new ATH and it is still increasing its dominance over the altcoin market which is the opposite of what we saw in 2017.
I know the rules and regulations of every cryptocurrency investors is to invest most of their capital in Bitcoin that with the previous loss of investors in altcoin investment doesn't mean investors will never touch altcoin as you said. However, no investor will get burnt if he chooses a utility coin with good community support and keeps it if till the bullish market.

The long-awaited bull market has started for BTC but the alt season put on the hold since 2017. Maybe in the next quarter of 2021, there will be a chance for altcoin investors to take profit after all this messy years. Bad bears will not let the BTC cross $30000 and the previous bull investors will also dump BTC in order to buy more altcoins. The same group of whales has bought BTC after selling their altcoin portfolios and now time to buy back the same portfolio at cheap prices.
Altcoin season is actually not put on hold since 2017 for some altcoin have make a new ATH price whilst some are yet to but I expect other altcoin like ETH to make there new ATH price first Q1 of this year if the covid 19 vaccine push through.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy New Year Bitcoiners on: January 01, 2021, 05:34:35 PM
Happy New Year Bitcointalk Fam! Its been a pleasure to be here for almost 5 years. I learn a lot about cryptocurrency about cryptocurrency and loss a lot on leverage trading Cheesy.

I hope that 2021 will be a great year to all of us! BTC to the moon!

#BTC100K
Happy New Year to all Bitcointalk user
This year will be a great year for the cryptocurrency market but we still need to be pragmatic about the market prediction cause it not possible for the Bitcoin market to clinch the $100K price range this year and don't see it occurring this year and I think we should pray that another phase of lockdown is not announced by the government because of the huge increase in the number of covid19 victims case.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to convert your LTC into BCH - I see BCH may follow Bitcoin as of 2016 on: December 30, 2020, 09:59:29 PM
Although, Charlie makes the community to distrust LTC through his regrettable decision a couple of years ago but that doesn't make BCH also a better investment choice because Ver wasn't an honest individual and a professional manipulator and scammer either which make every momentum posed by BCH not to be trusted or used as an investment decision.
Nevertheless, every good coin will have in the market will follow Bitcoin market momentum next year not only BCH and I don't any reason whatsoever for you to compare BTC and BCH.

408  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: December 30, 2020, 07:59:44 PM
Whatever we say is of no use to the governments because they used to their abuse of power and they will always do what suits them so I don't think anyone needs to remind the governments about how things are difficult for the poor during the first total lockdown but it sad we only have the government, not a true leader and I wonder how things will be for the masses if their no existence of Bitcoin.

A second lockdown might still happen since there's a threat of a new strain of the virus that is more contagious. Although we heard the news that there are already vaccines available, we still need to be careful since the distribution of the vaccine is not as fast as how the virus spreads. To avoid another lockdown, people should keep following the strict protocol and refrain from going too much outside for unnecessary occasions, it's the best we can do.
I also heard in the news about a new strain virus which was detected in the UK and was said to be found on travelers from South Africa but I still don't see any reason for the lockdown which the government should know by now that it actually doesn't solve the virus issue but worsen the country economy and what I think should be their focus now is how to fast provide the vaccine and quarantine every arrival into the country.
409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin climbs the price level to 27k, what do we expect next? on: December 30, 2020, 06:45:37 PM
next what we expect is $ 30k and above, because currently the price is retesting to resistance $28200,
if it manages to breakout then $ 30k will be reached in the next few days, it is currently still a moment for Bitcoin,
so the risk of dumping is very small, just enjoy. this bullish moment
The market has retest and surpasses the $28,200 price range today before it dumps back to the $28,100 fast but nothing is impossible in the market because the trading activities is increased by demanding so I expect the market to make $30,000 before the end of this year as a bonus for the Bitcoin investors but dump in price will also happen asap as the $30K is achieved.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: December 30, 2020, 05:50:50 PM
Big problem Barcelona begin from Messi wanna left or keep stay with Barcelona next season or Barcelona management will make transfer for Messi before at last season window transfer become free player.
Barcelona problem started long ago right before the issue of Messi leaving the club or not and the club problem shows when the person (Messi) that ought to be an inspiration to the club also had an issue with the club. However, Messi want to leave the club then cause he cant put up with their issue anymore.

It would be a huge loss if Barcelona had to release Messi on a free transfer, considering that Barcelona could sell Messi for a high enough value, at least with the sale of Messi Barcelona still had large funds to get new players. But Barca's current condition is so bad that they even have to be in 6th position at the moment and almost 7 points adrift of Atletico Madrid.
As you said it will be a big lost for the club if they sell Messi on a free transfer but if i am part of their management selling Messi is not what the club truly need.
411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open for bitcoin payment on: December 28, 2020, 08:02:40 AM
That's amazing!!! But the question is that will you hesitate when paying with cryptocurrencies? Like someone who bought a pizza with 1000 bitcoins? How would you feel when you buy a drink with 0.0021 bitcoin at its price of $20,000 but the next day bitcoin rises to 25000$...regretful, right?
Just like how some gambling site did theseday by converting their user deposit into USD. The price of the goods or services provided in the shop will be estimated in USD not in BTC which will somehow affect the budget of their customer so theres no reason to be regret.

I work in a small business , so earlier this month I talk to my boss about the idea of introducing bitcoin as a means of payment in our work, I gave him so articles to read on about bitcoin and how it works , after much explanation he came to an agreement to introduce bitcoin into the business for  the Christmas period and if it works out he will accept it.
We open a wallet and we are open for business and now accepting Crypto payment.
I hope that you use 3rd party payment services to automatically convert the BTC payment into Fiat if you want to adapt the use of BTC for the long run. The BTC price is not stable and the current price is near the current ATH, Your business might suffer loss in case price correction occur. I'm concern on profitability of your business so I suggest to use a safe to incorporate BTC to your business payment system.
Apparently, the shop offers physical sells to their customers not online so i don't think 3rd third automated payment is a good decision since it was said to be a small.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2020/2021 on: December 28, 2020, 07:15:37 AM
Tottenham scored in the first minute but could not add a second goal, it was Wolves that scored with 4 minutes remaining to equalise.

Tottenham are found wanting when the opponents scores a late equalizer on counter attack. Tottenham scored at early but could not maintain the rhythms but it was Wolves scored lately and overcome big team.
The match shows how vulnerable they are and I am sure if the match was allowed to play for some more minutes Wolverhampton will beat them.

Tottenham are without a success in any of their last four games.
It was specifically 5 games cause Tottenham has been acting weird ever since their draw game against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park Stadium but I don't know the reason for their performance lately and i guess it to be a behind close door problem.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Price Dives After SEC Files Charges on: December 27, 2020, 10:26:59 PM
It is interesting that now large investors have stopped buying ripple and small investors still do not allow the price to fall significantly.
Small investors cant stop the falling in the price of the crypto market and for your information XRP price is controlled by the XRP team not investors because they are holding 60-75% of all the maximum supply of coin and that's why they easily manipulate the coin price.

Not all exchanges are in a hurry to stop working with ripple...
That's because the coin CEO is a billionaire and they know he can pay the fund requested by the US SEC.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP is DEAD?! Ripple XRP DUMPING?! Buy the dip? Price Prediction! on: December 27, 2020, 09:27:47 PM
I am interested in xrp, but my interest is lost to your worries about xrp. did you invest a large amount of this coin? all altcoin prices have experienced good price growth, I think xrp will also experience the same
A lot of people were being trapped on XRP, You should never try consider this to be used to store your money. The altcoins will be going to the moon  when there's a big update related to the development and this could give a pump to the price of token. It's not only vosk but the big holders of XRP are also feeling worry with this coin. It's caused by the only chance for XRP to be alive to win in the legal battle.
Despite all the shady and price manipulation system done by the team, I'm still surprised some people still evaluate it to be a worthy investment. However, the reason behind the current sump in price of it market it because of the same behavior i mentioned.
Wahyuihib, listen to genuine advised giving to you by asrilon cause XRP is having a problem with the US SEC and they may drag XRP to the mud.
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin will Fly on: December 27, 2020, 07:27:47 PM
Litecoin was a big thing in 2015-2017. Its not now. Its slowly dying.
The reason why it slowly dying is because of Charlie Lee public declaration of selling all his holding and major investors decided to sell their holding either to avoid exit scam since the coin creator decided to sell his holding.

I don't see a reason to have it. Of course it may change ... maybe "safe haven investors" that will came here for bitcoin will try to search a "crypto silver" and go for litecoin as for years it was considered a digital silver for crypto community, but I doubt that.
If we consider the concept of the coin, theres a reason to have it cause it was a lite version of Bitcoin and thats why the crypto community considers it to be crypto silver until Charlie blows it. But the project teams have developed MimbleWimble which will make the coin to be an option for privacy transaction.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the long awaited bull run? on: December 27, 2020, 06:59:02 PM
This bull run could be as big as the last one but the distribution among the coins in the market could be completely different, as you have noted bitcoin has reached a new ATH but altcoins are nowhere near their own ATH, this suggest that in the case the market grew as much as it did at the end of 2017 that most of the growth is going to be concentrated on bitcoin which means that people should at least for the time being stop investing in altcoins and choose bitcoin over them.
People were discourage on altcoins in the last bull run, a lot of coins goes scam and people lose a lot of money on them, so this time they will not make the same mistake, instead, they focus on bitcoin to invest but I'm also seeing that the price has been overvalued so probably a dump is expected soon.

417  Economy / Economics / Re: British have main problems on: December 26, 2020, 08:27:58 PM
British economy was relied long on nigerian kind of countries the emerging markets called ones.
Nigeria was colonized by British which I think explained the deep bilateral relationship between Nigeria and British but you saying British relied on Nigeria which was said to be in recession is what i don't understand.

The british pound has no backer if they open economy
The scam will be revealed its not scam its just money.
Honestly, 90%of all fiat currency are backed by the government whilst US dollar is backed oil and gas. They are all scammer, they know the solution but ignore it by printing excess currency.

418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Best Crypto Trading Strategies on: December 25, 2020, 11:50:31 PM
In fact, I use more than one strategy in investing in cryptocurrencies. I hold some coins in an Atomic wallet, where I bought them at a low price and wait for their price to rise well in order to sell them.
Thats a scalping strategy but it not good for an inexperienced trader or those that cant control their emotions whilst arbitrage trading is best profitable when have enough capital.
Having said that, i will advise you not to keep much coin on atomic wallet cause security seems not be high level.

419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sec vs Xripple and in the future vs BTC? Is it correct? on: December 25, 2020, 09:52:25 PM
The SEC (security and exchange commission) caused xripple to collapse and now who will pay back investors?
The SEC may cause some harm on XRP market but XRP are know for manipulating the XRP market just to make profit out of naive investors and investors have been warn on several occasions not to invest in this coin but seems to be blind by the project partnership with big companies.

The sec can act on the company on USA not on what it has produced and that 95% of customers (who are not Americans) own.
The US SEC rules is well noted that any crypto company/project that can not follow the SEC laws should not include US investors.

They are certainly not stock exchanges. Then, if the SEC

What safeguards would the sec provide?

https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2020-338
The SEC job is to protect investors investment and maintain fairness in the market.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 25, 2020, 08:12:13 PM
You are referring to Olympics? The date hasn't been finalised yet and Japan and IOC doesn't want to compromise the health of athletes and all involved so there's no definite date as of yet.
This is also what I know but i was surprised when i read that the tournament date choosing and the link he provided only tell the history of Olympic tennis games how the rules stated in details .

But basing on previous Olympics, I haven't seen or seldom see tennis Olympics on clay surface for that matter.
Me either but that doesnt mean Olympic tournament cant be play on the clay surface.

Can you provide a link cause i couldnt see any details about the game even through espn.

This is what would have hapened if the tournament was held in 2020.
https://tokyo2020.org/en/sports/tennis/
I only saw the rules and regulations stated for the game if it going to play and there are no scheduled dates.
