401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOBT]✔NOBT Hybrid PoW+PoS ◕◡◕ Zerocoin Protocol -nobt platform - nobtx.io on: March 06, 2018, 08:02:17 AM
Why is the Twitter account suspended? That doesn't fill me with confidence combined with the absolute lack of progress or communication.
Is this something unusual? The Twitter email Your account may have been compromised.
plz before you write any statement first, see previous posts, and browse other projects here.

Excuse me, I've been following this "project" for quite some time now and if you scroll back I am the only one asking hard questions about the lack of progress.  I saw you fire the only members of the team who were trying to help out and the arrogance in all of your posts has not slowed down.

Yes, it's very unusual for the Twitter of a cryptocurrency to be suspended.

Combine that with your "platform" being a total ripoff of Exmo and I'm contemplating selling my NOBT for good.  Do you have any response to your platform that you were working so hard on being a copy-and-paste job of another site?

I would suggest you to read more on this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0
to know more about cryptocurrencies projects especially decentralized exchange projects.

This is not important in my opinion if the NOBT project is a copy or not, in crypto all projects are copies of something (with some exceptions of course). The important thing is the development of the project and the usability of it. There are a lot of successful copies out there in crypto world.

how does it works ? requirements ?

You'll need to log in (with your email, facebook or twitter) and than make those tasks like visiting pages, follow on twitter, watch videos, etc. The tasks will be done automatically when you click the tasks "+5", "+10",  buttons and you'll get the same amount of entries showed on the specific button. The tasks will be done automatically or you must click continue. Note that the giveaway is not started yet, so you are not able to participate yet.

So how to determinate who's the winner?
The fastest? Or?

There will be a draw at the end of the campaign which will pick 5 winners, using their software.

Can I understand that the giveaway is other advertisement? How many Bismuth can I get if I finish the tasks?

Yes it is! You can win one of the 5 prizes of 500, 300, 200 or 2x100 BIS at the end of tha campaign.
When you finish a task you'll get a number of "entries" which is like a lottery ticket. More entries, mare chances to win one prize at the end of the campaign when it will be a draw.

March is approaching...  Wink

We know, and we are waiting for the updates from our dev mrok as much as you all do. I know is a long time waiting so I want to thank you all for your patience, you are an awesome community. Stay tuned!

Yes, I was just joking a bit, we all want that updates to come, but I also understand that developments require time. We'll keep waiting, no problem. On the bright side, this wait keeps the price low, so more people can board the ship.

Well, you are quite right about the price, but not entirely, because this is a dual-edge sword as some people left and will leave as they loose faith. I hope that not all our supporters will leave. Thanks for the trust and we appreciate your patience, you are awesome!
410  Other / Meta / Re: Seriously bitcointalk, why this merit point system ??? on: February 28, 2018, 09:46:04 PM
The merit system will not provide the expected return of good quality post just because the newbies won't help anyone as they are newbies and not very knowledgeable, and the old-school guys with higher ranks doesn't need the merit points to rank up anymore (Legendary ranks) or they don't need too (Full Members, Sr.Members or Hero Members), because they don't participate in the signatures campaigns as they have made some money from crypto since they are higher ranks. I'm speaking here about the majority as there are exceptions, of course. In my opinion the merit system is kind of useless for the forum quality posts, but it is what it is. My 2 cents!
Instead of half-assed justifications of why this wouldn't work, I'd rather see some data that proves it won't work. My hunch is that it greatly helps reduce useless posts. As Bitcoin taught us, it is all about incentives. I am happy to be proven wrong, but with a strong argument or something backed by real data, not musings.

I agree, the system is implemented to increase the quality of the posts, but the Merit reward for the quality of the posts and the amount of them is not the one that it should be, just because people are too lazy or greedy to make an effort for others unless is something to gain from it. For example take a look at this user: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=560058 i know him/her for the good posts he/she makes over some threads i follow too, if you take a look on his last posts since the implementation of the Merit system, he/she made 250+ good posts (in my opinion) and got only 15 merit. So at this rate, for him/her to reach 1000 from 515 will need to make another 8000 good posts, which is huge. Please note that I'm not related in any kind of this account or user, was just an example.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: February 28, 2018, 09:24:24 PM
so can we withdrawl BIS ok from topia (man i hate that site) to our working BIS wallet?
can i stake it?

still buying this coin as current price is a super deal.  by end of 2018 watch out this coin will be up bigtime.

even just check those order books sells site, whale-bot playing lol.....very very slim once we blast off so price will take off fast and furious!!!  Shocked Cool

First i recommend to make a test withdraw to see if is working and if there are some delays.
Well Bismuth is not POS, is pure POW, so you can't stake it.

Anyone having luck with solo CPU mining? I've been at it for a couple of weeks using an i7 6700k, but have nothing to show for it.

Now as the GPU miners are out there the CPU mining is obsolete, further more solo mining. Please join a pool at least if you don't have GPUs to mine with.

Is it profitable to still use CPU to mine now? I only have CPU and was among the earliest miners with CPU.
I don't know if I can still be back to mine bismuth with my cpu from Monero. The Monero hash rate is increasing crazy.

Since I don't know what CPU/CPUs you have and what amount of hashes you can submit per second you can try it for a few hours and see what ROI you have, if you are not happy with the return you can point your CPU/CPUs to a coin which is CPU only. Cheers!

Epic fail of this project!  <--- personal opinion, not as a team member of any other project, as the guy below pointed. (EDITED)

A lot of folks are confusing some perceived lack of fairness of miners "reward" with a failure to decentralize.

Again, transactions are _not_ picked by miners. Miners _confirm_ via "discovering" a valid hash for proto-blocks that _nodes_ pick. Not miners.

So, a few miners having a large % of the hashrate isn't alarming from a decentralization standpoint, these guys are just spending lots of money to acquire more ARO very early in the project. This is a valid choice for them; it doesn't hurt ARO 'cept for FUD'ders who haven't bothered reading about ARO or understanding where the decentralization comes from.

Decentralization of transaction / block formation / validation of blocks --> these tasks happen at the nodes, not the miners.

Miners are not the sources of decentralization for this coin...

Not sure how else I can describe it, since people seem intent on ignoring this.

Is like you are saying that Bitcoin is decentralized, which is not. Anyway, good that you know where the decentralization comes from and we don't.

Ooooh boy, i've been waiting for this!
It's very easy to make enemies but as you are part of Bismuth's dev team, let's get the party started.
You are lucky, i've been following your project since the beginning.

Where was Bismuth 2 months after launch?
You were here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1896497.580
No pool, lack of solo mining documentation, you mined the hell out of it for 2 months.

When was Bismuth stable?
Hard fork after hard fork, it's been months.

Where is the fail?
The fail was Bismuth's GPU miner that worked over one month before it was released to the public and you were all calling it optimized CPU miner.
Not to mention that europool's mining pool was down every day and payments were made once a day ( if they were made  Smiley )

The main difference between Arionum and your coin is TRANSPARENCY! You can see things as they are, you can use clouds to mine if you afford. This coin has no premine and is way ahead of you within 2 months.

I call your reaction FUD as you are threatened by a better coin!

That was my personal opinion, not as a member of any team. At the end of the day I'm a person with opinions even if anyone likes them or not.
P.S. I don't know why you "Ooooh boy, i've been waiting for this!" for such a long time? Feel free to express your opinion in Bismuth ann thread or wherever you want. Ahh.. and don't forget to use your main account when posting next time Wink Cheers!

P.S.S. Transparency?!  Grin Yes I saw, the first block was mined 30h before the ann thread was posted so mean time 450-500 blocks were mined which is a lot of ARO at 1000 coins per block.
FUD much? You're complaining that the genesis block was mined 30H before? really? You saw that block height 2 was mined around the same time this thread was posted?

Maybe, but still the first 250+ blocks were mined by the same miner. Anyway...
OK ProEvo1433 Wink your project is awesome, my bad!
So, since I bumped up your thread too many times, good bye!

419  Other / Meta / Re: How to get merit points ? on: February 28, 2018, 09:03:29 AM
Even you make good posts and help newbies in here you won't get merit points from them as they don't have, so is up to higher ranks to notice your posts like project owners or some team members of that particular project and and give you some merit.

Helping members and then expecting merits in return is not right in my opinion However, you still get rewarded for this. Suppose a new member asks a query here and you provide a good reply to his query asked. Whenever a senior member of merit source will notice this, you will get rewarded. I think once you get to the member rank, you already become aware of the sections and posts that have higher chances of getting merits.

Whenever a senior member will notice he will or will not give you merits. I think a better idea was to get merit points or fractions of it from the length of the post. Other good feature could be to get "likes" with one click of a button instead of the complicated way how the merit system works, you are  taken away to a new page and you must type the amount and click send.. is very annoying for many users, includin me. My 2 cents, take it or leave it.
