So, yesterday I deposited 0.02 Bitcoin* to YoBit.Net. I will be buying and selling Altcoin next Monday. I will be updating how much I lost or earn and what Altcoin I invested in here. I will try my best to trade Altcoin everyday. However, I wont be able to trade in Sunday.

Karl Gray is a mother whale he has 100,000 btc, he speaks at major conferences, he is one of the earliest btc adopters and a financial collossus he along with other whales took litecoin from few cents to eventually $40+ each or whatever it was at peak startcoin he has publicly stated is his chosen altcoin, he beleives in it and the platform and has been saying for months he is setting up a 50 million $ fund for startcoin, bttf and startjoin again, really needs own thread for this if anyone wants to discuss in more detail and welcome comments in main altcoin section, not this crappy announcements bit lol Karl Gray twitter is @paradimeshift |

Considering StartJOIN has been down for hours - it was perfect timing for a pump. They can't sell them if they can't access them. people are buying, not selling into buys for the main. plus startjoin hasn't been down for hours. few seconds at a time for me at most then refresh, just cloudflare kicking in due to high traffic, now there is tens of thousands of members on startjoin also there is couple million held in accounts on bittrex alone ON the exchange if people wanted to sell. have been watching and those accounts are growing or static not selling or reducing in size |

Ok, let's take a hypothetical island in the Bahamas with full Internet access via the US and the Bahamas mainland.
Let's say that a group of investors wanted to build a small "libertarian" (still abiding by Bahamas laws) community on that island for tourism and living.
If they wanted to use a cryptocurrency for their local economy, would it be better to just use Bitcoin or create their own alternative cryptocurrency?
If an alternative, what structure would be best for keeping most of the mining income local?

10/10 for thread title, amused me to the max I think will happen at some point but have given up making predictions with bitcoin, been dropping and stagnant for well over a year I predicted it could be. so it could go sideways, up to moon in steps or lose half value in coming months. the best place imo to be right now is in a few select alts. most are scum, but there are a few absolute gems.
