Yes bitconnect but based on their site they are closing lending services as well other services because of they got notice from US regulation office . So they closing some services but the price fall is too huge . It might be the reason bitcoin price fall and also its creating negative trust on crypto community.

I am not sure it will go to 8k or 9k still market is volatile and also seems like some temporary fall because of panic sell doing by fudsters or so you can invest even in 10K if your really looking for long term atleast for next 6 months.

I am doing crypto trading about a year .Here speculating market bit easy compare to normal equity market Buy the coins when it is really down or market going downwards and Hold it for long time or keep the profit price sell point in exchange and dont look back after couple month when market moving upward you can take profit. Yes ether is the best option as i am finding currenctly because there is lots of successful projects running on ethereum blockchain even most of the crypto transaction and ICO investment happening through ethereum . So ethereum will surely worth more than 3000$ some where between 2018.
