Manchester United just can't show their real power in this game. They have just scored the equalizer finally thanks to Cavani. He entered the game at the beginning of the second half and they increased their chance of scoring a goal. But until this point, Newcastle really did a great job by keeping Manchester United at the level they wanted. Even though they are one of the worst teams now, they still fight back really well. We will see what Manchester United will do in the remaining minutes. But even they win somehow, I'm indicating it once more that I'm not contented with their performance absolutely.

Mundo Deportivo indicates that the Manchester City right winger Ferran Torres is too close to signing a deal with Barcelona. He is going to have a medical on Monday and then he is going to complete this deal. We have known already that he had a high probability of being transferred by Barcelona in January. It looks like this will get real. However, Barcelona will need to pay a great sum to sign him. I don't know if it is the right thing to do by pouring that much money only for him. He is a promising player though but I'm having second thoughts. https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20211226/1001729777/fichaje-ferran-torres-barca-sera-oficial-lunes.html

I totally agree that league matches are quite competitive and interesting at times, but the fact that Bayern always win the title at the end is annoying fans because we all want to see some other team win the league title.
Furthermore till Lewandowski is playing for Bayern I don’t think any team will be able to dethrone them, but once he leaves a opportunity will definitely open up, and let’s hope then one of the teams grab the opportunity and wins the league title.
Lewandowski is a really special striker for Bayern Munich and for football history also. He has had a very big role in Bayern Munich's championships so far. And it is even more fascinating that Bayern Munich are not a team that are depending highly on Lewandowski. They are performing superbly as a team. Even in the absence of Lewandowski, they still don't let their system shatter. Against a team like this, all the other teams in the league have a low chance.

And we have the last game between Newcastle and Manchester United in less than two hours. Manchester United are the absolute favourite side of this game undoubtedly. Manchester United have more games missing than Newcastle now. But I don't expect this situation to change anything for Manchester United in a comfortable game like this. They have been on the rise and they should be able to maintain this here.

What a superb day for Manchester City and Arsenal especially! Because they obtained really perfect victories today against Leicester and Norwich respectively. In fact, Manchester City finished their opponent in the first half already by bringing the score to 4-0. However, Leicester were in no intention to give up and the second half was just something very special. They scored three consecutive goals in ten minutes (55', 59', 65'). And suddenly, it was 4-3! But I really admire Manchester City's calmness that they still scored two more goals and won by 6-3.
And Arsenal had a great game against Norwich. In this away game for them, they had everything under control in the first and second half both. And they obliterated Norwich by 5-0. Now, Arsenal have a winning streak of four games in the Premier League.

It is really fearsome that Inter are already in a very advantageous condition in the league standings now. By saying "fearsome", I meant that I'm afraid of the possibility that the competition level for the Serie A title can go down much earlier than I hoped. Maybe Milan would manage to keep up with them for so many weeks but we might see a competition only between these two teams. In fact, I want a competition among at least three teams for the title. And for the third team, the most probable candidate is Napoli. But they started to screw things up for themselves recently.
Milan be Inter competitor since a year back. but isn't tight like this session where the different point is not much. I believe it will continue after the break and will be tight when both teams bought another player to fill up on weak lines. Milan is still weak on defense since Kjaer got injured, but I admit no one can replace the figure of Maldini and Milan very missed him. I agree that Milan are weaker in their defense now because of Kjaer's serious injury. But I believe that they are still strong enough to keep up with Inter and fight for the Serie A title to the end. Because Milan are really good at especially in their attacking side. Their effectiveness in attacking would help them score more than they concede most of the time. This is another big chance for Milan in terms of the league title. We will see if they'll mess it up again.

Is the Bundesliga boring because Bayern is dominating? Juventes has ceased to dominate in Italy, and that the championship has become more interesting from this? Or look at the dominance of PSG in France for example. The Bundesliga is an excellent championship, a lot of productive, interesting matches. And the fact that Bayern dominates is not surprising, they are one of the strongest football clubs on the world stage.
The Bundesliga is not boring in terms of the quality of each game we have. It is just boring in terms of the champion team. Because Bayern Munich are just dominating the league every year and this makes people really annoyed. I still enjoy watching so many games because of the fierce rivalries. But as for the title winner, it is just the same all the time. There are still no team that can put up a really good fight against Bayern Munich and end their dominance.

Small information, nothing big and predictable.
Ferrari has released an interview in which they state that:
Next year they will not have a first and a second driver, and LeClerc and Sainz will start on equal terms and it will be the track that will decide who will be the captain of the team.
(which is however different in Redbull and Mercedes where they clearly have the two fixed captains)
I believe that this is a good thinking of Ferrari. Because Leclerc and Sainz are both determined and ambitious drivers. They both want to do their best for the team. Moreover, none of them is clearly better than the other one. This makes the competition among them harder. At this point, I also think that it is the best to leave this to the drivers to determine who deserves to be the primary driver of Ferrari.

Manchester City are going to have a home game against Leicester tomorrow. Manchester City are the dominator of the season now. They are having a winning streak of eight games. Leicester are far worse in this season. They still haven't managed to start recovering in the EPL. And there is another difficult game ahead of them now. Manchester City are performing far better in their home games. And I think that they will win this game too.

The Empoli vs Milan game is going on really interestingly now. It was a close game until some point. But Milan secured themselves about getting a win by bringing the score advantage from 2-1 to 4-1. And Empoli just scored a penalty. But there is not much time left for the end and Milan would secure a nice win I think. And Napoli are just a big disappointment now. They are still 1-0 behind against Spezia. And even if they manage draw with Spezia, it is still not acceptable for them.
Napoli lost today is very quiet unfortunate. The statistics and game play did not reflect on the result. That is football for you. A game of Luck and Skills. Spezia was at the lucky end today. Napoli couldn't atone the own goal of Jesus J. But if you look at statistics, you will be so sorry for Napoli. For instance, Napoli has about 83 dangerous attack compared to Spezia's 23. Yet, Spezia stole the 3points. This was a really similar game to the Real Madrid vs Cadiz game in the La Liga a few days ago. Real Madrid dominated it fully but it ended in a draw by 0-0. But Napoli couldn't even draw with Spezia in this game. This was a really worrying result for them. They were actually the best starting team to the season but now they are the worst among top 4 teams in the standings now. But I'm believing in them to recover and leave these hard days behind as soon as possible.

I would like to say that PSG got a surprising result against Lorient last night by 1-1. But the truth is that PSG are performing much worse in the absence of Mbappe. Messi played in this game but he couldn't score or make an assist. He was like a ghost to me because of this. PSG are highly depending on Mbappe now and this is really worrying considering the future of the club. Because they are most likely to lose Mbappe in next summer. After that, they will need to get accustomed to being successful without him also.

No doubt, Benzema has been outstanding this season. He has been all in shape and performing at a very top level. Scoring goals here and there. And also keeping in shape after slight injuries. Ancelotti has made this team a big gun after Zidane departure. I was thinking they’d suffer but Real Madrid are heading into the Christmas break in fine form and at the top of the LaLiga table, showing just how much progress Carlo Ancelotti has made since returning to the club. They’re currently without some first team Players like Luka Modric, Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale, Marcelo all tested positive for the Covid-19 last week. Modric, who has since tested negative, remains out of action because of symptoms and now centre back Alaba has entered into isolation, and that’s why he couldn’t feature in yesterday game. Even at this absence, Ancelotti is still grinding out good result.
Yeah, Benzema has been having a wonderful season so far despite his age. For some special strikers like him, age really doesn't matter. Because they still fight with all they've got to be very beneficial for their teams. For example, Luis Suarez is a good example for this situation. And yeah, Ancelotti has helped this team get much better than before a lot. His system is helping the team improve their game very much and they are the number one contender for the La Liga title now.

In the EFL Cup, I was just delighted with the Liverpool vs Leicester game. Liverpool's starting eleven choice really surprised me. They didn't want to have a lineup mostly consisting of their most powerful players. And Leicester were really near benefiting from this situation. But even with a lineup like that, Liverpool still managed to defeat Leicester by the penalty shoot-outs. And Liverpool normally had a PL game vs Leeds in three days but it has been postponed.
