4001  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC hit 70k$ this Christmas? on: November 01, 2021, 12:58:56 AM
Stayed above 59k and its at March weekly bar highs, remains bullish for now.  See what happens when volume drops off at all, if we stall some may sell to buy lower down in speculation.

I dont see this as indicating important resistance here but if we remain sideways till the 50 day average catches up it'll likely expand range downwards from there first.
4002  Economy / Speculation / Re: Coins that are more expensive than gold on: October 31, 2021, 09:29:06 PM
Platinum, Rhodium  lots of things are more valuable then gold mostly because alot of elements are harder to get hold of then gold which is found in many rivers naturally distributed over centuries of continual erosion and accumulation in river banks.    Some things are exclusive to only a few countries, it requires unique geology to produce that rock type at the surface of the earth.   We dont use all these things for money because they arent that suitable, it can be true of these other types of crypto they just arent especially correct for common exchange as currency.
It all remains to be proven but price isnt the clue really, market cap would be likely but I think security and ease of exchange with fees relevant is probably what determines best use as currency hence 'coins'
4003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 31, 2021, 09:17:54 PM
Has to be France with that sign I'd guess and south as it looks far too nice for this time of year.

Is it not reasonable to look back the last ten years now and conclude I probably never should never be at 0% allocation to BTC.   I dont agree with 100% or even close to it but the obvious point even if it went to 10k on a doomsday sell off you'd still have a point to be bullish in that harsh low remains higher then the prior low.   By your own scenario on a macro view in extremis view its still going to be bullish in this basic take, is it really reasonable to sell off everything and speculate, hoping you are correct in your idea.
Just weighing that up for a second, chewing over the last ten years is 0% really your conclusion as a good idea.    In contrast if you sell BTC you buy Dollar, they are different things maybe that helps you but unless you want the dollars which are by design increasingly easy to get hold of why store them up.   Pay all bills, etc.  be bearish in your stance but I dont see a point in being so positive Dollar when you know they intend to devalue it every year for this decade and the next as its practically a promise they've given to not honor a store of value.   Multiple central banks warn their citizens do not store plain cash as a value store, I dont advise 0% dollars either as it threatens liquidity but still dont lean on them for anything more.

lol genius line of thought there, depends on your personal reality you prefer to imagine.   If you are determined to be negative enough its possible to think of every outcome as a loss, you wont live forever so its all negative in the end.   The sun is going to collapse in a few years or so, everything on earth will be blown back to its simple neutron origins I dont know why people bother.

Tyson can sing dancing in the rain on Broadway while wearing boxing gloves and a guard if he feels like it.   You said it yourself that its not a professional boxing match so its only subject to general oversight only I presume. The trick that makes them money is they dress it up as if its going to be competitive in any way when every prior instance clearly seems to be running through a script to fit in with commentary and sponsorship.
4006  Other / Archival / Re: False Breakout ? on: October 31, 2021, 05:31:05 AM
It hasnt moved dramatically either way, its not a break of anything so far I guess.   If we account for devaluation continuous in Dollar then the ATH now is about the same as the ATH at year start because nominally they are different but value mostly the same price point.

I was looking for a downtrend and it seems to have outrun it, I've given up being negative but honest take is we dont know until it resolves properly.   Weekly bars are really the minimum safe conclusive data to draw an idea of pattern bullish or negative trend; otherwise we remain speculators guessing which way to bet in the days that wave back and forth.   I presume we have no solid reason to see a pattern down at present.

Would Logan be able to stand 1 hit solid punch from Tyson? LOL!

Its the training lacking in Logan, Tyson can take a hit and know his training to fall back on so even if lucky Logan is not likely to progress onto anything.   Where as Logan taking a hit is going to make him give way far more easily and so a second hit and out.    Its all theoretical when its going to be written into contracts the progress of the 'exhibition' will be preplanned like a screenplay and no one can complain because its literally for a show.  At best its a training match and people get to see a great who may have not been around in his prime.
4008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat-betting to crypto+betting on: October 31, 2021, 02:00:36 AM

when a person bets 0.001 BTC and the bitcoin exchange is at $30,000, then the person wins a bet and have 0.002 BTC and after a few months the price rises to $60,000 the person manages to make a profit with a bet and still profit with bitcoin increase, this in my opinion Is fantastic

Never bet it all at once, even if you lose you could be ahead in that scenario.

The main advantage of crypto to me is segregation from your FIAT money which must be kept for bills.   Not many people are required to pay a bill in crypto, you merely have to be sensible to start off in your allocated funds and you will benefit overall from drawing a line in the sand for what can be bet on games or not.
4009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: October 30, 2021, 10:58:56 PM
Its one of the best looking, in theory it might be superior to lol but I dont know its better to bet on.    CS is the best for outcomes so long as the teams arent too unpredictable in their failings.

I'm also eyeing NiP but might skip it since I want to bet on T1 vs Damwon later today.
Nip not only took a team mate from Astralis but now rubbed salt into the wound and trashed them in todays match, just a single round was taken from Nip.    BO1 matches I avoid but I wouldnt have predicted the current world champs lose 16-1 to basically any team at all, maybe its psychological and a former player knows exactly the timing and when to attack vs his old team so the inner circle is broken.   Will they forgive  him, I'm apt to think Astralis just cant be bet on at present they are on three wheels and this is a team that famously requires composure and training to perform to exact dimensions like a machine; they wont recover to full fighting strength during this tournament imo

Gambit over vp
Flames over Faze
Heroic over Astralis
Liquid Furia  uncertain
Vitality over EG
G2 over Entropiq but also 3 maps I might prefer
Mouz Ence  3 maps I think
Navi over Nip

At least, I very much doubt that bitcoin can rise from the current price to $500k or $1 mln in just one month.

Obviously not likely but thats how you get the odds times into hundreds.  [once BTC is in new prices above ATH it can register 10k on a daily bar, this is excess easy money fueling volatility]   Its not impossible an event can occur in one month, this case wouldn't be about crypto itself exactly.  I cant think of what giant advance might take crypto that far forward, India declares BTC its national currency perhaps would be the size event needed.
Whats more likely is dollar melts down in that particular month, somebody notices they dont have a serviceable debt schedule and the majority of the trade balance is propped up by the trading of that debt.   Its not likely at present but sovereign debt crisis can occur as Greece demonstrated a few years back.  Their hand was forced by inability to buy their own debt but writing a cheque to yourself is nonsense as a solution yet market accepts this at present if that changed then you get wild prices in anything including BTC.
4011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC hit 70k$ this Christmas? on: October 29, 2021, 11:24:10 PM
This is bullish recovery back above top tier BTC pricing, unless we lose this from now to Sunday weekly bar close it should be taken that price is well capable of remaining positive medium term.

We're above weekly average price but Im not fully convinced until we end these next days closing out the week positively.
4012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 29, 2021, 10:47:43 AM
I'll bet BIG but mostly I think 3 maps is the most likely bet to pay off so in majority I'll go with that, 2 maps would be surprising.  Mouz have a team with 5 different countries and languages quite a mix Cheesy   does this alter likely tactical cohesion and strats is just my thinking, obviously both teams have great aim Mouz firepower is great but strats is what allows upsets.
I reckon Spirit could beat Astralis, that'd be quite an outcome as Astralis are the defending champions though most would agree they got little chance of repeating that this time.    Again I'll go 3 maps for the spirit game and bet spirit just for fun.
4013  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $100,000 in December? on: October 29, 2021, 09:07:21 AM
I drew in a daily bar downtrend in play since 20th Oct and Im looking at that to resolve itself first.

I reckon we go to somewhere like the 50k area first but that doesnt have to happen.  If we break this downtrend then I presume we once again challenge the prices near to ATH.   In the spring time on the initial rises for BTC this year we saw that 50 day average was often the incentive for lowest prices to return upwards again, in blue thats near to 50k.   We had good news and departed from anywhere near to 50 day MA but it can return and repeat itself I think.
If all of that takes place before end year perhaps we get much higher but first it must be resolved.
4014  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k price recovery achieved on: October 28, 2021, 10:56:47 PM
Seems to be a large amount of indecision still within the price movement, currently just between the 2 day and weekly averages.    Im not sure how to intrepret it overall but surely sellers are still feeding weakness into the price action

Lows of today reflected weekly closing highs for the spring BTC pricing.   Its probably an important area still being bought up, good marker for positive or negative going forward would be for us to hold 59.6k
4015  Economy / Services / Re: New Jersey only. I will pay you $3/bet to place bets for me online. on: October 28, 2021, 10:39:04 PM
Wow surprisingly I cant remember seeing this particular request before for some reason.   I guess most would ask someone in their online betting group or whatever, is it sports bets you dont really illustrate.   Send me details via pm if you prefer but as you are new to the forum hopefully you get which direction this would work.
4016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election | Biden+Harris Vs ?? ?? on: October 28, 2021, 03:13:13 PM
Quite a few want to bet Biden isnt running for the next term even.  I think people get carried away with the age factor, he can carry on so far as I know and manage an administration of various people rather then handle every single factor personally.
I imagine Biden would get reelected as is the norm, presuming the economy doesnt take a dive.
4017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2021, 02:12:11 PM
Think I will rate BIG over ENCE because have some quality aim there with Gade.    Odds favor them as underdog right now but they are decent quality on strat also, ENCE at times bare no limits.   I'm behind on actual knowledge of these teams latest play; I bet BIG previously when behind vs Entropiq and they came through which makes them an ideal team so I'll guess BIG

Tyloo outhitting for its rank vs Movistar who are ranked 15, not sure who wins Vertigo now as Tyloo has the perfect win % on this map but with less frequency and those results are regional.   Both teams I find a bit more difficult to judge as not fully consistent, have to watch this one.  [movistar put down some amazing shots that turn the round]
4018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto will rival or replace fiat in 10 years? on: October 27, 2021, 08:00:16 PM
There is no 'replace' argument valid in my mind not because of any specific criticism to crypto but because dollar itself was a peak debt dominance (and politics) to money that I doubt it gets repeated again immediately afterwards.   To have one currency across the entire world is not especially positive from what I see, every region has its own positives and negatives with specifics.
To say we replace one for the other is to say once again a currency maybe with no local connection should be the most influential in that area which I dont think is often best for those people, not every country has to be using BTC directly every day for it to be a great success.   Crypto I hope will be an increasingly larger part of the picture but I doubt the influence we see with dollar is going to occur again, this past period has followed ww2 and we should hope for more competition and variation.  Some FIAT currencies may actually be backed by trade not debt, we can see all kinds of different currency standards pick up the failure and decline of dollar during its post QE wind down which seems an inevitable progression in the next few decades.

Theres a time factor that boosts the bet returns, means even if you want to delay its probably worth just throwing it down in the last week.   Maybe if you want spread the bet into thirds so you can alter it slightly or whatever but the time bonus is worth having if you can still guess the final price with a similar accuracy.
I was disillusioned of my 70k+ hopes once we had the ETF news and it still lost the daily trend it had of going up, then I figured sideways drift possibly pullback some.   So far its not very aggressive a pullback, some can still take this as bullish but I will estimate the rise does not reappear in strength till after month end.   Just like end of Sept was a bit of a tide change there.    I prefer the diametric guesses anyway :p  hopefully it can move into a blip down to end month thats my ideal.

Quite a symmetrical chart we've had recently Shocked

4020  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in 2017 again? How do you feel about the price chart today? on: October 26, 2021, 11:59:25 PM
2017 was far rougher then this current year, this is plain sailing in comparison and far easier to form levels of confidence about as we regain a trend up or need to adjust downwards as might be true right now.
If the US dollar index starts to jump about at all then you will start to see far harder trading as this will be outside interference in supply and demand from larger market sentiment volatility.
