To answer your topic question: It probably needs to be introduced on related subjects/courses like investing and finance and computer science in general.
But what needs to be more emphasized in schools in my opinion, is internet security in general. Not only does it help with the security of future bitcoiners, but also with internet users in general. As we move more and more to the digital space, internet security just becomes more and more important.
I agree. Buying Bitcoin sounds easy, but going through the hoops from securing your private keys to actually finding a reliable platform isn't simply a walk in the park. Definitely daunting for those old school generations.

There was this thread that kept track of ban appeals for a while: BAN APPEAL]UPDATE: Total table + Ban status (Need feedback from Global mods). It contains a list of appeals between mid-November 2018 and early July 2019, totalling 67 entries (which is not much really, since most people do not appeal). The list displays apeals for: Legendary: 16 Hero Member: 10 Sr. Member: 17 Full Member: 17 Member: 4 Jr. Member: 3 Out of which: 2 were unbanned (one was framed if I recall correctly, and the other more or less proved it wasn’t him). 12 got a signature ban (normally for a year or two). 53 remained banned. That is just a fraction of all banned accounts really, as the vast majority do no resort to appealing the ban (be it due to their low rank, or knowingly aware of their slip). Thanks for the info. So basically the chances to appeal are very slim unless you have some solid substance to back your case. But then those list as you mentioned are not up-to-date, so I believe there's way more appeals which have not been added to the count? As we have seen those threads posted on Meta from time to time, but they hardly ever ended on a good note.

@o_e_l_e_o, I didn't say that privacy doesn't matter. Of course it does. But let me ask you a question, if I wanted to mix 1400BTC, then the bitcoins would first pass from the mixer's addresses. Won't the police know that the stolen bitcoins are now owned by the mixer's company? I don't understand why the whole scam is solved with just a mixer and how the hacker can now spend them all without being afraid of getting caught.
I don't think the mixers would want to make themselves known publicly (in terms of IRL information) in the first place. Also, there's a possibility that a mixer could also send the Bitcoins to another mixer before sending them to the addresses. Just to make things even more difficult to trace.

I would loke to have some free time. Unfortunately having 2 nanies means that you sometimes don't even have time to eat
2 nannies? Wow, how many kids do you have?

I mean, even 5 BTC hot wallets are hard enough to find, let alone a MIN of 50!
You can imagine them thwarting off those pesky DDoS attacks every single day ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Their security team must be paid very well!

I guess this is the best place to learn about bitcoin.
Never limit your knowledge source to one point (i.e. this forum). One platform which you should check out, is Reddit which offers a vast of different subreddits, or subforums to check out on the latest news and how-tos.

Posters who plagiarized and were banned need to have very good contribution history to get ban uplift. It not happens too often AFAIK. If they get a second chance, some sort of reduced account restrictions will be implemented, as replacements for permanent bans. - Signature ban next 1 or 2 year. I don't remember a shorter period of such signature ban (6 months, probably). - Signature ban and temp ban (can not post for a while). - No restrictions at all (it is rarely to see) [TIPS] to avoid plagiarismI really pity those that plagiarized during the early days but eventually contributed loads to the forum and the ban suddenly fell out of nowhere. I recalled seeing some thread about it but I highly doubt there would be changes to the current stance on plagiarism, and with theymos hardly commenting on these kind of things.

I'm pretty much happy with Bitcoin, we don't really need another token. Plus, it's Bitcointalk for a reason ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I know some people have digital collection (such as virtual cats on CryptoKitties), but i doubt it'll be popular.
That thing was so huge in 2017 and one cat was apparently traded for 6 figures in ETH.

By the way, it's better you close this thread now since it's served its purpose before other members start spamming on this thread with more congratulatory messages (unless you really want that to happen).

I think this could be solved by disallowing the topic title to be changed. After all, it doesn't serve any purpose besides occasional fun/ trolling attempts.

I agree with the "Contributor" title, and the BPIP logo added as a nice tie-in ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

You can bet any amount. But the profit you make in a single bet cannot exceed 20 BTC.
I wonder... if anyone has made such a bet before.

That's what I thought, but I was looking on Amazon, and they didn't mention WiFi or bluetooth.
Do you have a link to any of those products? I'll go take a look.

When I reached my 100th Merit, I held a giveaway thread but some members actually posted had good feedback which I took into consideration.
Rather than holding them, reward posts that are deemed Merit-worthy. That way, those participants won't feel compelled to come out with one (often redundant) topic or thread just for a measly Merit or two.

I bet with my instincts, and the YOLO attitude when things don't go my way ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) After all, it's all paid entertainment.

I have the same feeling as what mttewndew said. Why would I play a game if I have it already in PC?
But the enjoyment is way different from playing it with consoles like XBOX or PS. Now it got me thinking if I'll be good purchasing xbox or ps' latest releases.
Multitasking. With the PC, you could game and switch windows in seconds. And then there's the control. Mouse and keyboard combo is still the king when it comes to fast-paced RPGs and FPS. Nevertheless, it's nice to have a console as a backup for enjoying some exclusive titles and a multimedia system.

What's your take on this new development in my country?
While it's a good start, I feel that this pretty much applies to every other country that have regulated/ legalized the circulation of crypto. For those relying on scams, they should be afraid since their activities could be tracked but for us, what is there to hide? If we're mainly trading, that shouldn't raise any red flags.

The government has brainwashed us into thinking anything they don't approval isn't or can't be used as a means of exchange but that's false. Everyday we make exchange with items that aren't officially recognize as currency per se yet the government seems not to do anything about it. You know why? Because they don't feel threaten by those other means of exchange like previous metal, natural resources etc but with bitcoin that has the potential to downplay all they have worked years for sure you don't expect them to just seat down and watch their years of fouling the general public go to waste.
With their definition bitcoin isn't a currency but guess what, bitcoin has been a better and real currency for it's few years of existence than the whole fiat currency have been. Bitcoin doesn't need some centralized approval to function as the community is all the approval bitcoin needs.
They're just worried about money laundering activities. Unlike fiat, which has serial numbers assigned to every note. Once they start embracing e-Wallets, adopting cryptos would be pretty much a piece of cake.

I think that you have misunderstood it. The network doesn't care about the source of money. 99% sure the miners also don't care. The recipient of the money, a company, may however do censoring. That's the "beauty" of custodian wallets ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) If you do a search for account closed gambling wallet site:bitcointalk.org you'll find that some exchanges / wallets may not allow money coming from gambling. Also the wallets known to be related to known hacks are being watched and most exchanges may seize those coins. I think that this is the censoring Charlie Lee was talking about, not about actual transactions. I experienced it first hand, not pretty. Wasted nearly 3 weeks on two failed attempts because one came from Freebitcoin and the other from a gambling site. And those were for withdrawing from the custodian wallet.

this is actually a list of great facts, if we manage to know bitcoin when the thing was not famous like this time, we would have been the richiest person at this world. i mean 5 btc for every claim on a single faucet is fucking insane. the amount compared to now is really disgusting and it is not even worth it today because of ads and the delay between each claim
Every man's gotta eat. Because of faucet abusers, that's why we're seeing tons of ads and redirects. Also with the fierce competitions elsewhere, gaining standing out from the rest poses a challenge.
