4001  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please explain how to margin trade on bitfinex on: June 01, 2015, 05:59:54 PM
You need to go into the tab margin trade. Thats whats interesting to you. There you simply can margin buy or margin sell. Positions there go against each other. Its a bit difficult since to wrap your mind around, at least for me.

But you dont need to think about anything other than buying and selling. The lending runs automatically.
4002  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Generation Social Gambling Dice Experience on: June 01, 2015, 05:58:55 PM
Im on level 1. Im not gambling.

Thanks... is there a page where this is explained in detail? For example how many points are needed in order to get to the next level? It would be best if such a table shows the actual affiliate return percent too.

There is on the site, you will just need to click on the "level" option on the left of your screen. There will be a table that show how many points left till you will hit the next level , your affiliate commision and also maximum faucet claimable

Though its a bit strange. Normally affiliates earn more the more playing members they refer to the site. Maybe dadice might think about that possibility.

DaDice affiliate is a bit difference although you are not into gambling, you can actually earn more by leveling your account, basically you can claim the faucet and do a 98 % chance to win and bet at 1 satoshi. No harm done with it as it is allowed to do so and there is no risk to you though  Wink

Thanks, i found it. And i think i missed the point of the stats. Affiliates get 2% of the house edge of the wagered amount. That means its unrelated to any other stats than wagered. So you take the wagered amount, take 1% of it and then take 2% of that amount. Means 0,02% of the wagered amount. Thats the affiliate income at level 1.

By the way... how to raise to level 2 or more? I hope its not only by gambling. Tongue

It's a combination of gambling and chat activity mate. every bet won = 1 point and every chat message = 1 point

Thanks... is there a page where this is explained in detail? For example how many points are needed in order to get to the next level? It would be best if such a table shows the actual affiliate return percent too.

How does the affiliate thing work? Is there a threshold?

Since i collected around 10 or so affiliates and my wallet shows 0, i wondered why no one was betting. I checked them and found that one user had wagered 546 satoshies and another 86605 satoshies. Nothing worth mentioning though i would think that at least a couple satoshies should stay in my wallet now.

Is there some threshold or how does it work?

May I ask what level is your account right now SebastianJu? Dadice give a commision of up to 30 % of referred player lost to you . Due note that this is at the maximum level. If your account is a level one, you will only get 2 % of your referall lost. The referall earning will be creditted at midnight UTC (daily)

The only reasonable thing is that perhaps your referall hasnt lost any from the wagered amount though that could be why you are not getting any satoshis on your balance (highly unlikely though)

Im on level 1. Im not gambling.

The stats of those members show that they lost often enough.

By the way... how to raise to level 2 or more? I hope its not only by gambling. Tongue

There is no threshold Sebastian, just that referral commission is only posted once a day at midnight server time. Kindly give us your user name and the user names of your affiliates and we will look into this. This can be done via PM as well, if there are privacy concerns.

Ok, ill do so then.
4005  Other / Meta / Re: 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable nginx on: June 01, 2015, 12:24:16 PM
The occurence of this error becamse very low. Maybe the server really simply gets to its limits sometimes. And after the hack everyone was trying to check out the forum.

Anyway... this board needs the new software. And hopefully a better security can be provided.
4006  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think BiPolarBob is crazy ?? *share your deals you did with him before* on: June 01, 2015, 12:22:13 PM
So at the end all fears of him building trust were unfounded. Refreshing to see persons that are different than all the scammer and haters on this board.

Now i really would like to know the story behind. Why does he feel to spend his life making others happy?
4007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 01, 2015, 12:18:04 PM
I've always liked to play around with investing on Havelock, but it doesn't seem to be as popular as it once was

Do they have a single alive project there? After Amhash crashed, it all went south. This is why I love PoS. You always have your coins in your wallet.

Point of Sale? Or do i misinterprete? Im still investigating alternative exchanges so i wonder what you speak about. Direct Trades and direct shares?

I see peoples gave many options to increase and plenty from them own experiences how to increase your BTC ... but frankly,  that option about investment in casino or any other gambling system I was considered always as very risky with more chances to lose than to get a substantial profit.

I think you misinterprete. They dont speak about gambling in the casino, they speak about investing in casinos that allow investors to take part on the casinos profits. They invest and build the house. That attracts gamblers since the potential profit is higher.

Gambling, of course, is a sure way to lose money. Its mathematics against you. You dont have a chance in the long run. And there is NO system to beat that. Some people think martingale sounds logical. Its not. And thats the most prominent system.
4008  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: A bitcoin miner in every hand on: June 01, 2015, 12:04:36 PM

It seems like a article just to get them publicity.  We are so far from in every hand, we need a lot more exposure.

And in every device just will never happen.  Some devices would be great other devices make no sense.  Like something you want longer battery life on... you would not put a miner in it.

You dont think technology will be able to overcome short battery life on devices? i Figured we would already have overcome this small step, but the constant flow of data and the heat caused by would mean alot of these devices have short lifespan which would mean more turn around on replacements and even more money in big companies pockets...

Sure they could put bigger batteries.  But most likely having a miner in your pocket all day does not seem like ideal product.

Do you honestly believe every device makes sense being a miner?

Exactly I don't believe this will happen, just 2 days back I read a guy reporting that he almost fried his Laptop when he tried solo mining and he let it run for 4 hours and it got extremely hot.

And if laptops can't take the heat from mining how will phone be able to resist that, I think the phones might blast, if someone tries to do that.

ya laptops arent really made for todays mining

They never were really meant for it.  You have a limited airflow it can get hot depending on laptop.  Turn processor or GPU up on high intensity bad things can happen.

And worst thing is unlike a desktop you cant RMA part's.  Most of time laptops have to be sent in whole.  So means you use access.  In day's of GPU's it was common to clock one to high or use it to long and need to get a RMA.

Asics have simplified things a lot as far as equipment.

I think its a myth that you cant exchange parts on your notebook. I already changed mainboards on two different notebook models i owned. No problems. And other parts, like exchanging GPU to a bigger one, RAM and so on arent difficult. Whats correct is that youre limited at how much you can upgrade.

21 is stilly a mystery for me. I fear it will be bad for bitcoin because people will feel scammed. But ill give them the benefit of the doubt.
4009  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 01, 2015, 12:00:26 PM
Did you guys take a class action or something?
Sure, against that chinese guy whom we know from the bitcointalk forum and we even got a bad photo of him. Wink

Actually, i had the impression, that the chinese police is quite successfull in catching scammers. At least they look more successful than others.

I think shareholders should not wait because of some word of someone working for Asicminer, that Friedcat is searched by the police. They should act so that its ensured that the police is searching for him.

Saying that, judging from the past, a private investigator was often the one who found the traces. So big shareholders should think again if the saying about "throwing good money after bad money" should be applied.
4010  Economy / Securities / Re: How do you invest your bitcoin? on: June 01, 2015, 11:15:02 AM
Is investing in the bankroll of a dice site (like Just-Dice) worth it?
If I left 0.1 BTC in there overnight, what should I expect to have when I wake up the next morning?

I believe returns in the biggest ever dice site, just-dice, as it still was running on bitcoins, had annual returns of around 11-12 percent. Other dice sites were worse at that time.

I dont have an overview about the actual returns. Though you should not think that investing for one day will get you a clear view. You need to have it parked for some time since the returns vary very much each day.

Consider every investment a risk. If you give your coins in the hands of others, you have lost them at this moment. If youre lucky you will get them back.
4011  Economy / Services / Re: DA DICE Signature Campaign - 'Da' BEST Yet | HIGHEST RATES! | JOIN THE FUN! on: June 01, 2015, 10:49:59 AM
ndnhc wont have a problem being accepted as the campaign runner. I did not see a dadice campaign member that spoke against him. And those are the persons who know him more than others on the forum.

So far the accusation really sound unfounded since its not very logical what happened.

I really would like to know who the person behind is. Maybe he wrote in the accusation thread about his true motives? Like "remove him from the campaign" or so. I guess there are enough spammers out there that hate ndnhc because they got removed.
4012  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coindice,Johny1976 Scam. Sell script with bugs. on: June 01, 2015, 10:37:24 AM
When there are so many people complaining about the script, I wonder why someone just doesn't post the whole code of the latest script in public so that everyone can take a look at it and find existing bugs / backdoors. I'm a coder and security analyst myself, but not interested in running a dice site - still I would love to see if there are some bugs in the script that were put in there on purpose.

Making it complete public would be the wrong step. The accusation "could" be wrong and at the end johnys script would be useless, because he cant sell it anymore, since its out there for free.

I think the correct thing would be to provide it by pm or email to persons who claim they will do a review. Though that could turn out to be a "free script" thing too fast. At least if everyone only needs to ask.

Maybe the best option would be to provide proof that someone can check the code. Im not sure how much that would limit the potential users. I mean because they want to stay anonymous.
4013  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ndnhc[resolved] on: May 31, 2015, 03:30:05 PM
I think this thread should be opened in an attempt trying to find who was behind this.

For the start, quickseller, i asked already and you wrote that noboday gave you a tip, but why did you check out this age old bitcoin address? Or did you check out ndnhc's valid address now? If so, why? Do you check all posted bitcoin addresses by forum members for possible connections?

Otherwise, what made you check them?
I think what Quickseller did was he was already investigating question2 about the extortion attempt. When he saw that question2 had posted this address, 12Ey8KPWPcv22VVUdZWCTQFZH97Yy1XAuE, he looked up that address and saw that the first transaction it co-signed was with 1GjMtZop3K6JZW7emBWXC11ZhdQ1xEJwpm. Doing a quick search of the second address on bitcointalk on google shows that the first link is to ndnhc's topic which quickseller linked in the OP. This is probably how he reached the conclusion that question2 was ndnhc.

Oh right. I was of the wrong impression that the extortion attempt happened years ago. Though then it makes sense. Quickseller regurlarly checks out scammers and thats why he came to the other address.

Then i dont know how to find out anything besides admin's checking out the user and compare it to other members. Though the user should have been careful enough.

Anyway... great that this is solved now. Its a bit hefty that there are members in here that would go to that lenght, planning to attack another forum member.  Roll Eyes

4015  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ndnhc[resolved] on: May 31, 2015, 01:25:28 PM
Nice to see things clearing up. One should think that ndnhc would be smart enough to know that changing the Address after the extortion connection was found, would be useless... if not stupid. So if he would do that he would be pretty stupid. Someone framing him would be pretty smart if he does it shortly after the accusation comes out.

I didnt think someone would go to that lenghts. I wonder how he could be sure that quickseller will find it. It somehow reminds me of one of those movie super thugs. Sitting with their cat in the arm and laughing. I wonder whose plan this was. And why was it possible to, at least, predict that Quickseller would find it. It was a post from long ago. No tip was given?
4016  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: May 30, 2015, 06:56:18 PM
Can I take lower rates swaps and re-land them at a higher rate?

No, i asked that before. You only can use the lend money to margin trade.

I think it would be good if possible since it would lower the price spread of the lending money order book.
4017  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ndnhc is an extortionist on: May 30, 2015, 01:10:36 PM
I think there is a good chance that ndnhc was framed. There are several candidates:

1. Quickseller: He has been after ndnhc due to dadice. Considering his ability it will be easy for him to set up.

2. Twipple: Has the motive to make Quickseller look bad.

3. Any other like Twipple with a similar grudge against Quickseller.

4. Someone who hates ndnhc and wants him gone. As a campaign manager who denies and kicks participants he may have some enemies.

What concerns me is that Quickseller is easy to fool and yet the first responses are mostly bashing ndnhc with no one analyzing the accusation. In the last page he makes another accusation which turns out to be incorrect.

Seeing the feedback on ndnhc, Vod has literally copy pasted his. I wonder if he even took the time to read through the allegation.

5. Someone who wants to take over his campaign.  Tongue /joking of course...

I hope ndnhc comes in soon since at this point it seems he is the only person who can move this thread forward.

Why the joking?

Because i answered to carra23, who manages the campaign for the moment. Suggesting that he could have an interest in taking it over completely. Since i dont think he is that kind of person, i wrote it as a joke.  Tongue

You mention marcotheminer... i know he attacked the dadice campaign often. Though it never were bloody attacks. More friendly fights between both campaign runners.

Anyway... the change 1 to I is suspicious. And i hope ndnhc comes up with an explaination soon.
4018  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Say NO to GMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: May 29, 2015, 04:03:11 PM
Regardless of how one thinks about it, everyone has to have the right to choice. And simply sponsoring some studies that claim that GMO is the same like any other Organism, is needed in order to rule that marking them is illegal because it lowers the profit. Unfair market advantage.

And now the US is in debates about TTIP and other free trade agreements that will lead to other countries follow the same rule. Otherwise they will be sued at corporate courts. Governments then only has the chance to bough to the companies. Otherwise they will have to pay high fines if they lose.

This more and more looks like a take over of world governments through companies. And the politicians are submissive helpers. Of course when they see the nice job in the future.

The current situation reminds me on these scifi movies. Companies rule directly. I hope these movies are wong.

By the way... these great GMOs did nothing like they should have done. Multiresistences build up. Now they build even harder venoms to kill multiresistent weed. Even though these venoms are found in humans now and knowing that they, for example, can damage unborn childs. The promising world of GMO is so colorful. The truth is nothing like it.

And if it would be handled like insuline production, i wouldnt care. But GMO is no medicine and they grow it practically without protection.

This report from the International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD) might be interesting to some who think its the solution to everything: http://apps.unep.org/publications/pmtdocuments/Agriculture_at_a_Crossroads_Global_Report.pdf
4019  Other / Meta / Re: 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable nginx on: May 29, 2015, 03:47:18 PM
Theymos, i observed it now a little bit. I get this error when i have read for a couple time on a forum page and want to see the next. So i cant imagine how a reload trigger might be involved. If it would then after that it would have to hit even harder.

So im not sure if its a coded limit.
4020  Other / Politics & Society / Re: McDonald’s Is Days From Opening Restaurant Run Entirely By Robots on: May 29, 2015, 03:38:48 PM

*lol* Right... and posted by a robot. Tongue

But i doubt it will work to buy a robot that works for you. If you can buy that robot then companies could buy masses of them for a way cheaper price. They could then do the work your robot could do for you and you couldnt earn money with your robot. The only way to earn money then would be to make the work that robots cant do.

Yeah but the companies need expensive investment if they want a bunch of robots with the most sophisticated technology. And maybe the robot couldn't clean itself so you need to do that. Or the company will buy new robots if the old robot is old fashioned. So, the company still earn money with their robots.

I guess it will be similar to asic miner development companies. They can mine themselve, or make a quick buck by selling the miners. Cloud roboting might be the next step.  Tongue

But youre right, there will always be jobs that only humans can do.

Cloud roboting + asic mining = proof of work at Mc Donalds = free burgers for bitcoin owners...

Again bitcoiners are ahead of time and predict the future. Now to think about how to exploit that.  Cheesy

The future is upon us. We demand free burgers from our hard working robots slaved to our blockchain...

If an actual government would use them to support their citizens then this might make an unconditional basic income more probable.

As long as the robots dont get the idea to serve us soylent green.  Cheesy
