4002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN/DISCUSSION] Silk Network: Silk, DarkSilk and Weaver on: July 13, 2016, 10:55:49 AM
I think no coin has behaved like this one ever before.
We so many dead projects and there's a countless list of dead shitcoins around.

Look at the volume, simply unbelievable.

I'm a proud staker and contributor. Hope more people will come onboard so that the silkcoin devs will get what they deserve.
4003  Economy / Services / Re: ❃❃ ▶▷ BETCOIN.ag ◁◀ ❃❃#Signature Campaign-High Pay, Monthly Bonus, Special Award on: July 13, 2016, 08:11:00 AM
I personally want to thank roslinpl for having been an excellent campaign manager and he clearly is a recognized great member of the BitcoinTalk community.

Betcoin.ag members are not paid some sort spammers given the names and statuses involved.

If most of the campaigns were run like this one this forum would be completely different.

thank you roslinpl for your contribution, it will be very hard for who'll come next.

4004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 13, 2016, 07:56:32 AM
Yesterday a friend of mine was asking me:
So now that the block reward is 12.5 BTC instead 25 BTC your BTC should have grown in terms of value?
I said:
Yes, now I own coins which value more in terms of production costs.
My friend:
Ok but waht about the value, is it higher?
I replied:

not yet... Cool
4005  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-7-12] South African Bank Joins R3 Blockchain Consortium on: July 12, 2016, 05:56:39 PM
With the amount of money invested and the name involved R3CEV is better be releasin good stuff soon.
I read their blog every now and then and I must admit I'm very curious about R3 Corda release.
That's because that's going to be a permissioned ledger different from the blockchain as we know it
4006  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 12, 2016, 05:50:55 PM
On the way up: nice movement upwards to the next price target. Bitcoin value is aiming for $700 soon.

One thing to notice: there's less than one dollar spread between Bitfinex and Bitstamp
4007  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 12, 2016, 06:44:17 AM

This is something you will not read in the news: italian banks are still dealing with 2008 junk derivatives. The thing is you can't cover the dust under the carpet for so long. The wind is blowing and the dust is spreading everywhere.

4008  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 12, 2016, 06:30:38 AM
What is really good about bitcoin after all is a very important and simple thing: NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

I create a wallet, put some funds into it and that's it. No questions asked.

Of course, when I will have to redeem thos funds I would have to be careful but for the moment I need a store of value and apart from an inevitable volatility BTC is the best.

I can't carry gold around.

What should we bet on now? What other football competions are you guys currently betting on?
There are some very odds games happening and I don't know anything about them.

Any suggestions?

UEFA Champions League Qualification seems a good one to bet. There are many matches from that league soon. I think it will be an easy profit though, haha.

Ok guys thank you very much for all your suggestions and I will start studying those competitions. I think Uefa Qualification Rounds are the one for me, I feel a bit more prepared on those games.

4010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: July 11, 2016, 06:56:54 PM
Wow!  Those damn chinamen kick serious ass.

Those Swedish pussies at KnC miner look like silly little bitches with their garbage Neptune mining junk.  They don't understand shit about business and now they are driven away as another non-competitive clunk.

Those shrewd Jews can squeeze a penny until Lincoln screams, but Spondoolies couldn't stay competitive against the hyper efficient Chinese manufacturing.

Survival of the fittest my friend.  The Jews and Swedes are OUT OF BUSINESS because the fucking Chinese kicked their asses.
What the hell is this post about?
And where are your proofs?
I would say im feeling the same like kryptqnick, you are talking some shit.
But where are the proofs? can you provide any,or it is just talking without any sense?
What?! are you fucking stupid?  You didn't know that Spondoolies is dead as a stump?  Here is your proof: https://www.facebook.com/spondooliestech/  You didn't know that KnC Miner is bankrupt?  Here's your proof: http://www.coindesk.com/kncminer-declares-bankruptcy-cites-upcoming-bitcoin-subsidy-halving/

Those fucking Chinese made mince-meat out of those chumps.  Jews and Swedes don't understand shit about efficiency.  Those Spondoolies machines were built to run for 10 years.  super good quality.  Too bad the useful life was only 2 years.  China knows how to get things done for less.

That is why China now owns the Bitcoin.  Fucking Chinese.

You just replied to some grow my count posts addicts. No need to argue when they don't know the facts.

Chinese are ahead of the curve in BTC mining, they basically lead the market as we can see below (and they will probably continue to do so even after the halving)

Guys tell me, picking France Draw no Bet with 2 BTC Bet is right choice?

If you have 2 BTC to spare that way give them out to us.
That's a crazy bet in my opinion. Also because I think France is going to lose the game.

This opportunity for Portugal is too damn high.

Muito Obrigado Portugal! Thank you very much.
Against all the odds I won a super bet! I 've always had the feeling France was going to lose the Championship.

By the way, I hope the guy quoted above did not bet

i did the bet with 2 btc,and here is the result

Good you changed your mind and tried differently. Nice one, I'm happy for you
Draw or away was a wisest bet to put on a final game like that
4013  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-11] Bitcoin miners face fight for survival on: July 11, 2016, 06:52:39 AM
Valery Vavilov, Bitfury CEO:
Quote
He also says the company, founded in 2011, is prepared for the mining reward cut. "We're prepared - we already went through one halving event in 2012," he said. "You can forecast this...so you have time to prepare, and if you're prepared you can live quite easily.

This is it: like any other business miners need to adapt. It was known that there was going to be a drop in the reward. It's not something that happens every day.

4014  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 11, 2016, 06:33:12 AM
Who would have picked BTC and gold together on the January 1st this year would have had a huge return today. I still think we should invest on both in different proportions according to our own possibilities. I don't have to explain this, look at the charts.
4015  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 11, 2016, 06:23:47 AM
Yes, so far good news is there was no mega dump But, the fact there's still the same trading pattern as before confuses me even though we should wait more to make any comment.

I would say the halving has been priced in when we reached almost $800 in June. Now is ordinary work

4017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN/DISCUSSION] Silk Network: Silk, DarkSilk and Weaver on: July 09, 2016, 07:09:26 AM
The current silkcoin wallet freezes up on me often.  I have tried it on Linux and Windows.  It seems to get worse with every stake reward I get.  Other PoS coins have this same problem but I hope you fixed it with the new version.
I've noticed the same issue, it is why we are looking into loading private keys into the weaver for swap. To make the process less burdensome.

On my Windows 7 64 bit laptop is running without troubles. Always syncing and staking correctly. I'm using the latest version available here.
So to me what you say sound strange.
Maybe try it on a different machine.
4018  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: July 09, 2016, 06:48:27 AM
I've put most of my funds on cold storage. This means long term holding.

I don't know what is going to happen with the halving so to avoid being impulsive I decided to freeze my funds. I don't know if it is the good choice but this is it.

Of course I have some funds in my hot wallet but most of them are safely offline.
4019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: July 09, 2016, 06:41:30 AM
To quit gambling for good?
Go find yourself a job instead of killing time on the screen.
Enjoy a book as well.

MAybe find yourself a nice girl. All this helps
4020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving in 24 hours , SegWit not released yet ? on: July 09, 2016, 06:16:33 AM
What I like the most about Bitcoin development is that it reminds me that of Debian for example.
Before devs are not rock solid sure everything is going to work fine they don't release shit.
This is how it works.

Bitcoin is not some agile, devops madness.  Cool
