Monero are also being considered by many like recently duelbits have made Monero to their casino providing anonymity to the players.

Sure, monero for anonymity and KYC for celebrity. A killer combination!
4002  Other / Archival / Re: Giveaway Winner on: June 18, 2021, 03:55:32 PM
When I was applying I wanted to choose a bunch of different numbers but all of them had already been claimed. Didn't really expect a "eh, it'll do" number to be the lucky one but I guess it's fitting for a randomly drawn raffle.

Thanks a bunch to Ratimov for both the raffle and the prize. I've PM'ed you the BTC address.

Congrats on your win, mprep!

Sweden win against Slovakia, 1-0 (Forsberg 77')

Overall, I would say a well-deserved victory for Sweden in the end. In spite of Slovakia having more possession of the ball, statistically, Sweden played better. They had a total of 13 attempts (four on target).

With this win, Sweden has topped Group E with four points. Slovakia needs to bring something positive from their trip to Spain if they want to stay in the game.
4004  Other / Meta / Re: Signature spam - how to force users to read before replying? on: June 18, 2021, 02:10:37 PM
No, I don't report these posts, I just ignore them and move on to the next post in the thread. I don't know how the mods think so I don't know if a report like that will be market as 'good'. From their perspective, it may appear that my opinion of low quality post is subjective. As a general rule, what I report as zero or low value are mostly one-liners that add nothing to the quality of discussion.

This problem will remain evident as long as there are campaigns that favor quantity over quality. A way to address this would be to introduce stricter rules for signature campaigns. And, I agree with BlackHatCoiner, campaign managers should bear more responsibility.

I don't know about PSG, but Manchester United has made an opening bid of Ł 50m for the defender. Apparently Real Madrid is asking Ł 80m.

4006  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and happiness. on: June 18, 2021, 08:21:12 AM
Does money buy happiness? I think not. At least not in the true meaning of the word. There are more important things in life. Like finding and spending time with your friends and family. A lot of my life happiness stems from the people and things I surround myself with, which aren't related to money. We all need a purpose in life. A connection with nature and spending time with loved ones are all a part of that.

Although having enough money to pay the bills and have some savings is a good thing. Having more than enough money may boost a person's sense of well-being, the findings show.
People in the top fifth of the income spectrum are likely to feel less stressed and more satisfied than their peers with lower incomes.
4007  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: SCAM upozorenja Zbirni topic on: June 17, 2021, 10:30:31 PM

4008  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Porez na bitcoin i kriptovalute 2018-2019 on: June 17, 2021, 09:53:04 PM

Nisi.

Most casino prefer to allow deposit of top coins being trading in the market which are also easy to liquidate at the time of withdrawal or converting them. But now doge is being a deposit options at many casinos also due to its hype and demand with some fees and speed issue of other coins. But soon we will see more coins being added to the list as per demand and regulations.

What are you talking about? What regulations?
To my knowledge, there are no regulations regarding the types of coins accepted for deposit and withdrawal at crypto casinos. The decision lies solely with the casino managers.

I haven't found much about Lokonga except that his market value is about €12m according to Transfermarket.com.
Are there any Anderlecht fans around? Would you consider him worth the money?
4012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: June 17, 2021, 07:25:58 PM
Right now freebitco.in is the only casino I know that doesn't ask for any KYC. The casino in my signature is also not famous for asking KYC but they still have it in their ToS if I am not wrong which means they can weaponize KYC when it is necessary. (not saying they do or they will. They can though)

I don't know why crypto casinos want a license neither. freebitco.in has no license and they have been doing just fine.

Exactly. Freebitco.in does not have a license as far as I am aware, but I still feel like they are more trustworthy than any new player with Curaçao or some other gaming license.
I honestly believe that a license is no guarantee at all. There have been many scammers in this line of business, with licenses, who took thousands of bitcoins from people through various methods.

Getting a casino license from Curaçao creates more problems than it can solve, so I don't understand why these casinos are making it such a big deal.
4013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: June 17, 2021, 03:50:24 PM
Gambling is becoming popular because people have no global purpose in life.

In the 19th century, people believed in endless scientific and technological progress.  However, the First World War showed that technological progress can serve not only the cause of good, but also of evil.

In the 20th century, people have a new global goal - space exploration.  However, by the beginning of the 20th century, space exploration projects were curtailed.

Instead, the Internet and the virtual space began to develop.  However, the internet is just chatter.  People are disappointed.

Therefore, they began to actively seek excitement and drive in gambling.

This is totally wrong. Gambling was popular since pre historic times. When people started to engrave symbols on bones and start to throw it - gambling become popular ))

So your conclusions not correct at all.

Right. Gambling was very popular in ancient Rome (it is even mentioned in the Bible several times) and even among the ancient Greeks, and it was most likely known well before that. Some would go as far as to say that gambling was an integral part of how society was organized and governed. However, gambling was also viewed as a sinful vice by Christians and the Church (and this feeling didn't diminish much to this day), and therefore forbidden by law. They thought this should have put an end to the games. But it didn't. Gambling games continued to be played throughout the Middle Ages, and into the modern period.

Hence, to say that gambling is more popular in our time than it has been in the past is wrong since there is no standardized method of comparison as far as I know. Of course, with the prevalence of the Internet, gambling has become much more accessible to the general public.

That would probably be the simplest solution. TryNinja, you could simply add an option to the search parameters to exclude all topic titles from the results that start with 'Re:'.
If you want the search to only bring the posts that titles doesn't contain "Re", you can do it yourself.
Just add -Re to the post title field.

For example, in the image below I am searching for the posts that contain the word "bitcoin" and the title doesn't include Re.

Off course, it's not accurate to say every post that the title doesn't include "Re" is the first post of a thread. Users can edit the title and remove "Re" when making a reply.

This is an example of a search I was thinking about, but I made the mistake of putting a space after the '-' sign, so it didn't work the first time I tried it. Thanks for helping me to catch my blunder.

It seems to work now. @logfiles, I believe that's what you're looking for.

@TryNinja, ignore my previous comment. Maybe you should add an info icon next to "Post Title" to let people know that the advanced search works there as well.  Wink
4016  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: June 16, 2021, 07:52:59 PM
The main post/topic (OP), you mean? That's not easy with the way I structured my database since I don't know which posts are the OP. Tongue
Yeah, but it's OK if it's not possible or too complex  Wink

We can work with the current set up too.

Maybe I can try adding an option to return only the first post of every topic, so it only returns the starter. I don't have much time to do that rn, though.
I also noticed that OP subject titles don't have  a "RE:" on them when I was sorting the results. Maybe that could help.

That would probably be the simplest solution. TryNinja, you could simply add an option to the search parameters to exclude all topic titles from the results that start with 'Re:'.
It could result in a few false positives or false negatives, but I think it would be a workable solution.

Alternatively, you could add advanced search operators like those for 'Post Content'.

4018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 15, 2021, 09:30:54 PM
Jeez! Kylan Mbappe just got his goal cancelled for an offside.

Benzema got his goal disallowed due to offside as well. It could have been worse for Germany

Germany had more ball possesion but that was mostly in areas that were not really dangerous to france.

I'd say Germany control the flow of the game especially in the midfield aread but France was solid in defending so almost nothing gets past through it. Obviously this is the case when you have Kante on your team, we have seen how good this guy is in Chelsea defending the midfield line . On top of that there is also Pogba and Rabiot in the midfield so yeah , its going to be a pretty solid line

Yeah. Despite Germany having more possession of the ball during the match, France acted impenetrably, similar to their play at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, when they won gold.
4019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 15, 2021, 08:00:25 PM
Honestly, I was hoping for a somewhat more exciting match between these two. Considering the balance of play so far, I have to say that the French are well-deserving of their lead, but there has not been a lot of clear-cut chances. Both teams played extremely cautiously. I hope that in the second half Germany will be a little more open since they need to catch up.
