I should have been legendary long time ago. I am like 4 times legendary already. I am legendary of legendary of legendary of legendary. I am born legendary. I am a herculis. I am 21st century of Herculis. How many years it took you to legendary after all these beaching and moaning. If I spend time here for 3-4 months I will special legendary and all the color of my profile balls will start to change. Wait and see.

Sounds like he may want to see a doctor about that.
4002  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Where to get large amount of testnet coins? (~2.5BTC) on: November 03, 2020, 10:14:18 PM
Did anybody ever determine what was up with the trend of people asking for large amounts of testnet coins? People are asking again... I'm wondering if it is to participate in an airdrop, token sales or some kind of giveaway... Maybe they are scammers looking to pull a tBTC/BTC switcharoo. Anyway I could sworn I saw a thread with an explanation somewhere but I can't find it.
4003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 03, 2020, 12:48:52 PM
Here's how to play bitcoin if Biden wins.

1. Stock market will probably drop a bit.
2. Corn will drop alongside it; to what extent is anyone's guess.
3. Corn price starts to rebound.
4. Buy corn.
5. Profit.

The changing of leadership usually has a short-term negative reaction on the markets, historically speaking, and has nothing to do with the underlying trend of whatever it is we are talking about; in this case, corn.

One thing is it may take a while for the results to be known, up to a week or even a month. So timing your buy based on what appears to be an inevitable dip may prove tricky.
4004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 03, 2020, 12:02:43 PM
Well a lot of people are uppity, that's for sure.

The only thing that comes close to this is last time around - before that maybe Bush v Gore - in terms of animosity I've witnessed toward the other side. Covid certainly plays right into the divide, as does the racial thingamajig, whatever you want to call it.

People will be up-fucking-set in general if Trump wins, but they'll have to learn how to respect democracy.

4006  Economy / Reputation / Re: Mass bounty abuse^400 Alts on: November 03, 2020, 07:21:20 AM
This is ridiculous ... Considering that yesterday three users wrote to me in a PM, whose names appear in this list. (Users who haven't published anything for about a year or two).

Its because your old trust references are showing up as Default Trust now. You could very well be right about your connections here, but without blockchain or social media connections its pretty flimsy, and similar last active times isn't really a good enough reason by itself to leave a red tag. If you look at coinlocket's trust left for tarable before yours, you'll see they considered leaving red but changed it to neutral based on a similar conclusion.
4007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinsbit is Legit exchange? or SCAM? on: November 03, 2020, 04:27:33 AM
It's hit or miss with them, and I would just assume you're going to lose at least half and maybe all of your coins that you deposit there. I certainly wouldn't trade there knowing there are literally hundreds of better options available. People get sucked in by their high-yield garbage tokens, deposit real coins, then have to struggle to get them back. You might be one of the lucky ones whose balances they don't disturb, but I wouldn't count on it.

Read here for more on why they are a scam: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5195285
4008  Economy / Reputation / Re: Mass bounty abuse^400 Alts on: November 03, 2020, 04:12:36 AM
Hello sir, icopress has accused me with evidence that is not accurate at all and even it is false evidence because basically I was never associated with the three people he accuses, sir can fully check on the exposure of the wallet made by icopress, so I just want a fairness here, because this is concerned with a reputation he should give the right one not the fake

I reviewed the connection and I don't think it deserves a negative rating.

There's a chance the first two accounts are connected (tarable and MonaLeeTracy) based on the timing and place of token withdrawal, but that's not enough to connect two accounts as being alts, IMO.

@icopress can you please shed some light on your conclusion here?
4009  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious Signature campaign Hex.com on: November 02, 2020, 09:57:07 PM
Also, I would request if we can create such a rule that if a scammer/ imposter launches such a campaign he should get a flag and if that flag gets enough votes, mods should lock the thread, to avoid further entries.

That's a good idea but at the end of the day some people just aren't going to learn, and how much hand-holding should these people receive before they need to learn an important lesson about scammer-lead projects? The lesson being working for a scammer is usually unfruitful and a waste of time, and it pays to do a bit of research into a bounty/signature before signing up.
4010  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Yearnify copied website content! on: November 02, 2020, 09:52:10 PM
total scam, he use bitninja.io and cloudflare service for hide real ip.it is his contract address: https://etherscan.io/address/0xfd6fce575e3a117a0d889d1b32b5e3d5e5c98bdb You can see that with the same address he has created several tokens, one of them leads to another scam of the same nature with .tk domain

It looks like he managed to rake in almost $60k in ETH in less than 2 months, not bad for something that was pretty clearly a scam from the beginning. I guess people weren't doing their research on this project before investing -- this thread probably comes up as a 1st page Google search result.

Dear Sir,
Rafiqul84 This is my previous account,
I opened a new account after it was banned.
Rafiqul123 This is a new account.
I didn’t know the details about the BitcoinTalk account before, so I did the wrong thing.
 Now I know fairly well.
Please don't ban me because of my ETH ADDRESS.
I urge you to remove the Red Trust.
Many, many good wishes for you.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Bro, once you are banned from the forum once you are permanently banned -- you're not allowed to come back under different alt accounts, as you are banned as a person.

Your account has had a negative trust since June, you've been walking around with it this whole time. The reason why you are noticing it now is because the user who tagged you is now in DT2... Not that it matters because you are banned anyway.
4012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I guess bounty hunters really kill projects on: November 02, 2020, 04:36:31 AM
The real problem is that this was a scam project and a cash grab from the beginning. No doubt some bounty hunter token dumping contributed to the collapse of YOUC but the timing you describe makes it sound like there was a lot of insider dumping that preceded it. And then of course there's no one wanting to buy it, which is also a problem. I just assume most altcoin projects are scams to begin with and that way I'm seldom disappointed.
4013  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious Signature campaign Hex.com on: November 01, 2020, 11:27:47 PM
There's a chance it was some sort of HEX whale or serious bagholder that maybe thought a sig campaign would be a good idea, or maybe the whole thing is a scam. Either way, it's irredeemable garbage. By the guy's response, he's completely apathetic to entertaining any conversation that isn't directly making him money. He's a total conman:

4014  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US Elections 2020 - very self such moderated on: November 01, 2020, 11:05:45 PM
Interestingly, Biden is now up well over Clinton polling numbers in Pennsylvania. I seriously don't see the pollsters risking underestimating Trump voter turnout there this time around, but the difference lies within the margin of error for all polls, so..

This is one last map; a worst-case scenario for Biden where cedes Pennsylvania and Florida and everything comes down to Arizona:

If Arizona flips to Biden, there's a possibility that North Carolina and Georgia could flip to Biden as well. Wisconsin is also a wildcard, certainly not a "gimmie" for the dems.
4015  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is with Bitmex???? on: November 01, 2020, 10:20:25 PM
Arthur Hayes, Ben Delo and Samuel Reed at the end of 2019-beginning of 2020 distributed themselves the proceeds of illegal activities, knowing that there is an investigation and is already preparing a prosecution. In this way, they tried to reduce the amount that could be confiscated by the U.S. authorities.

Hah. Arthur Hayes hasn't tweeted for over a month, you know the shit must really be hitting the fan if Arthur is off twitter. His background image has text that says "I'm a business man, not a priest." Well I don't think anyone is accusing him of being a priest, and as far as being a business man is concerned, he shoulda stuck to that before moving on to his current job: wanted thief.
4016  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: November 01, 2020, 10:05:43 PM
Where is theymos looking? what does vycl87 do on this list?
He meets the requirements, that's all. Other DT1-members have excluded him, so he can't influence DT2.

I could have sworn entry to DT1 required being included by at least one other DT1 member, but I don't see it written here:

Quote
I will periodically (maybe every month) be reconstructing the default trust list to include everyone who matches these criteria:
 - If rank was determined solely using earned merit, then you must be of at least Member rank.
 - You must have been online sometime within the last 3 days.
 - Your trust list must include at least 10 users, not including ~distrust entries.
 - You must not be banned or manually blacklisted from selection.
 - You must have posted sometime within the last 30 days.
 - You must have at least 10 people directly trusting you each with an earned merit of at least 10, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.
 - You must have at least 2 people directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 250, not including merit you yourself sent. These "votes" are limited.

So, my assumption has been incorrect this whole time?

If so, it would explain why vycl87 is included.
4017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $20+Day! Villages in Philippines survive Covid playing Axie Infinity on: November 01, 2020, 10:00:17 PM
The ironic thing behind most scammers is that they have themselves been in desperate situations and know exactly the right things to lure their fellows into over investing themselves.

As they are pretty active in the crypto scene relative to nearby countries, Filipinos are also the targets of a lot of scammers... Ponzi scams, cloud mining scams, doubler scams... On one hand their main wallet, Coins.ph, is a resounding success in terms of crypto use case scenarios as it allows people to buy phone plans, pay bills, cash out to remittance centers and easily send coins to others; on the other hand, it makes it incredibly easy to get scammed and lose much-needed income.

A lot of Filipinos still don't understand how dirty scammers can be when it comes to crypto - I've heard a lot of horror stories of people losing their savings in what should have obviously been a scam - which is why its refreshing to have a legit product providing good income for a change. If you make $20 a day in the Philippines you are pretty much killing it compared to most of the country.

Financial literacy is on the increase, at least as lessons are learned -- the first wave of adopters will have been hit pretty hard by scams compared to future generations to follow, who can learn from the mistakes of those who went first.
4018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $20+Day! Villages in Philippines survive Covid playing Axie Infinity on: November 01, 2020, 01:19:11 AM
It was certainly a godsend to the people who made a good living from it, but I don't think its a trend that would continue to infinity, especially as more and more people found out about it, driving the price of the token they were earning and selling over and over. Demand for the game would have to continue to pick up, which I don't think that it did -- although its certainly an interesting economic model that is likely to continue well into the future.

Welcome and thanks for bumping my thread! I'd forgotten about it.

Since last time, WAX released another series of Garbage Pail Kids, but these ones are currently selling much cheaper than series 1 as several more copies were minted of each card this time around. I just hold about 20-30 Topps GPK NFTs at the moment, no more WAX to speak of, but I will be paying attention to find out when Topps is slated to start releasing sports cards as NFTs.
