4001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The houses always win, are you the house or the gambler? on: July 23, 2021, 08:15:19 AM
Ok, obviously it looks like you are a man.... (You say the house is the Wife / Divorce lawyer etc..) ...so you are on the losing end of Life already.  Grin  (On average.... most men die before the women ...so they hit the Jackpot of a Pension and Life insurance policies paying out..and the man paid for it)  Roll Eyes

The house is always rigged to win.... if they lost... no casinos would have been able to keep their doors open, so you just have to hope that you are one of the minority of "players" to beat the house... and then you are made!  (WageSlave or not... luck is luck!)
4002  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-07-16] Police confiscate, destroy 1000+ ASICs in Malaysia on: July 22, 2021, 03:44:33 PM
They are soooooo stupid... If they sold those miners and used the proceeds of that to strengthen their Police force.... they could actually fight real crime or better yet, use those miners to fund small mining operations that generated profits that could have increased the tax income for the country.

This was one big publicity stunt and it failed miserably, because the rest of the world can now see how bad decision making can be in some governments. (Do they really think illegal Crypto mining will decline after they did this..... nah the money is too good)  Cheesy
4003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anti scammers on: July 22, 2021, 11:45:24 AM
I use bitaddress.org to create some Paper wallets to use as traps. I have them all over my study and on all my computers and I leave a few dollars on them ...just to see if it was triggered. (If someone swept the paper wallet and moved the coins)

This is an early warning system to see if you have Malware or someone snooping in your house or if you were hacked. You can also create several online wallets and then move coins between them to make it look like you are making payments to someone else.  Grin
4004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake vs Bet365: The Live Streaming Battle on: July 22, 2021, 10:31:47 AM
It would have been nice if you could have increased the size of the "Live Stream" window, because on notebooks with small screens... it is almost not worth it to watch the streaming session.

I find that Stake sometimes lag a bit, but with 10 000+ users being online over a Saturday, when the Weekly are paid out... it would be expected that it would lag a little bit more than usual. (Unfortunately most of the Sports are played over weekends)  Wink

The experience on both sites are good and linking my notebook to a large TV... help to solve this problem.  Grin
4005  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 22, 2021, 09:18:20 AM
So how may of the Olympic games are going to be covered for some betting action? I can only see Soccer and Beach Volleyball and not the other Sports? I seriously want to see 7's Rugby and Boxing and Gymnastics.

I wonder what will happen with the team Sports when there are a Covid positive case in the team? (Sure all the other team mates has to go into isolation and how will this influence the betting, if they are pulled from the games?)  Huh

It will be a first for me to bet on the Olympics.... I have bet on everything else from Soccer to eSports .. but never on the Olympics. So I see you have only added Golf/Rugby Sevens and Tennis.... what else will we be able to bet on?

My favorites are Women's Beach volleyball and Gymnastics and Swimming.... but I figure there are only going to be bets on team events, so Water polo and Basketball is going to be a good call for our next round of bets.... right?  Wink

Thank you for adding this.... I will be glued to the TV....  Cheesy
4007  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 21, 2021, 02:52:06 PM
I think the reason why a lot of people prefer to gamble at Stake and not at some of these other casinos ...are their relaxed view on KYC verification... The whole point of KYC verification is to identify people that are using casinos for criminal actions and Stake are monitoring people's accounts for that in any way.

The only way to launder "dirty" money... is to withdraw it.. so if you just deposit money and you play, without any funny business.. then no red flag will be raised.... but if you are pushing lots of money through your account and hardly gamble and then withdraw it.... then your account will be flagged. (Or... if you have multiple Alt accounts linked to your main account and you pushing money through them)

Some people just want their private details to be private.... even if they are playing from a legal location. (Identity theft is a real problem and KYC documents can be used on other sites)
4008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Data Reveals Bitcoin Mining is Now Friendlier to the Environment on: July 21, 2021, 01:44:52 PM
I think the Elon Musk tweet was a good kick in the butt for these miners to seek alternative "green" energy for mining purposes. We also have a lot of Chinese miners that has shutdown their miners that were linked to fossil fuel energy sources.

I hope this will have a trigger affect on the global mining farms and that they will be relocating to areas that has "green" and sustainable energy sources. (Hydo / Wind / Solar powered energy sources)  Wink
4009  Economy / Economics / Re: A Game of Governments - China and Authoritarism on: July 20, 2021, 06:30:27 PM
China is one of the oldest civilizations in this world and after centuries of their existence, they still ruling with a iron fist.... bashing the rights of their disciplined citizens. We should give credit, where credit is due.... they took China from a communist regime to a world class economy.... something that cannot be said about many of the other communist regimes.  Roll Eyes

Yes, they violate the rights of their citizens..... but some of them are filthy rich and many of them are not living in absolute poverty.. like we see in other democratic capitalist countries ..where there are a huge divide between the super rich and the poor.  Wink
4010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 20, 2021, 04:39:31 PM
I have noticed that sometimes when I gamble, I used to win unexpectedly even when I never intended to bet. The most shocking thing is that I usually win when my mind is not that prepared to gamble probably jokingly. Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?

Your Client Seed determine your luck and that is pretty random, so no emotion in this world will be able to change that.  Wink  On some casinos you can change that Seed ....so you can change the possible future outcome of your bets. Your emotions can then come into play, because you are making a calculated decision to change the seed, based on how you feel at the time.  Wink

Unfortunately you do not know if that "Seed" change will bring you luck or if it will bring you bad luck.... so you are either lucky on unlucky to change to a winning Seed.  Wink
4011  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 20, 2021, 03:34:06 PM
It will be nice if stake could have a option where you can see the "highest to the lowest" wins for the day of all players that was reported in the chat. Sometimes people report a big win and everyone is talking about it, but you missed the bet ID that was copied to the chat.... because the "rain farmers" spam the chat... just after the win.

Also, when you come online, you missed most of the action when you were at work or out doing something ....so it will just be nice to login and then see what wins was reported for the last ...say 8 hours or 16 hours.... etc. (It can even just keep the bet ID of the 50 biggest wins of the day)  Huh

It cannot be that difficult to develop something like that? (They can even reward the Top 10 biggest hits of the Day, based on these logs...so it will encourage people to post their winning Bet ID's) - biggest = biggest multiplier.. not amount won.  Wink
4012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Destroy 1,069 Bitcoin Miners With Steamroller In Malaysia on: July 20, 2021, 02:33:03 PM
I think it is absolute stupidity, because Malaysia is not a very "rich" country and a lot of the citizens are struggling.....  Roll Eyes   I saw the video on TikTok for the first time and they said it was in China.. so I kind of accepted it, because we know what government they have.

I would have used those miners to subsidize small mining farms for the people who are unemployed or just sell them to international buyers and take the proceeds of that and pushed it back into the economy to reduce the tax burden or to subsidize job creation or funding for small informal businesses.

Why does authorities take poor decisions like this? (Just doing it to score political points with the Banks...or voters that are apposed to Crypto currencies)
4013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 19, 2021, 05:52:37 PM
It is not going to be a "record breaker" Olympics this year, because the spectators usually boost the participants performance and not having them there, will definitely have an impact.

I am more worried about participants testing Covid positive whilst they are there and them and the persons they had direct contact not competing and having to go into isolation. (That will be heartbreaking for individuals and teams and the nations backing them... when that happens.)  Sad
4014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why green bitcoin mining has become a trend? on: July 19, 2021, 05:30:08 AM
It has become a trend, because Elon Musk tweeted that Bitcoin is using too much electricity that are generated from fossil fuels. Now his agenda for that is simple, because his company produce "Clean energy" solutions ...so by doing that, he is hoping Bitcoin miners might invest some capital into buying some of these solutions.  Roll Eyes

The thing is... "clean energy" has been used for many years in the Bitcoin community and large mining farms was strategically placed near renewable energy sources, like large hydro electric power plants.  Wink
4015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 18, 2021, 07:16:21 PM
No, I say ... no betting should be allowed on friendly matches. I have seen some Rugby matches in the past where the opposing teams left tackles for fun and laughter in friendly matches or they will ask a non kicker to kick for poles.

We should only bet on matches where there are true competition and a strong will to win... Yes, some players play hard in friendly matches too, but there are nothing in these matches for them. (No tournament points or League points or ranking)  Roll Eyes
4016  Economy / Economics / Re: What's going on in China lately on: July 18, 2021, 04:09:19 PM
I often buy in China. They don't write anything like that to me. There is no big concern over the pandemic. China is a country where people are vaccinated with 2 million vaccines a day. If all nations were as disciplined, the pandemic would have ended long ago.

You know that the vaccine does not stop you from getting Covid... right? Yes, it might be less severe and you might show less symptoms, but you still get it. In Israel and other countries where almost everyone are vaccinated, 60%+ of the infections are from people who were vaccinated.  Wink

When they first launched AstraZeneca in my country, they said it was 98% foolproof... then suddenly the virus muted and it rendered the AstraZeneca vaccine .....useless, because it could not protect you against the new strain.  Grin Grin Grin

In any way, virus infections come in waves (outbreaks) ...so our new world will see cycles of outbreaks and China is no different from any other country.  Wink
4017  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 18, 2021, 02:54:04 PM
I am using freebitco.in since couple of years and trying to roll almost every day. But never won something big. I spent more than what i earned from free roll or multi. Spent few dollars on jackpot. But either its my luck or i have got bad client seed every time.

Here are my current status just want to share

I have been on Freebitco.in since late 2014 and I have never won anything more than 3000 Satoshi .....so I share your pain. I can tell you this, back then we won 1000 Satoshi per hour... so I saved up most of those Satoshi's and I got a nice piggy bank score out of that, when the price was at it's highest.  Wink   (Back then it was "dust" and not worth anything)

What I am trying to say is this..... The long-term hoarding of these "small" Free spins and Roulette Wheel ...will some day, be worth a lot more... so just hoard them until then.  Wink
4018  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Million Dollar Race II - UFC Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: July 18, 2021, 11:41:55 AM
Now I am speaking to the higher level players from Stake now..... (Platinum and up) .... Did your win percentage drop when you leveled up to higher levels? I can remember lots of $100+ wins on $0.10 and $0.20 and $0.25 bets when I was Non VIP to Silver.... but since I reached Gold and Platinum... I hardly ever see any $100+ wins...? ((The Fire is Gone))

Is this just my imagination .... or do you have the same experience? (Some of my friends are still Bronze and Silver and they regularly send me brag screen grabs of their $100+ wins....)  Sad

Stake is still a awesome site, but I am just worried that my VIP upgrades will reduce my winning Huh

Our VIP rank has nothing to do with our luck, so it is completely your own feeling because you have better luck in the past than the current time.
It is basically common thing, as we all know that there are many people says "when you start gamble for the first time then you'll get more win but you'll get more lost once you do it longer"
My suggestion, try to play other games or try to take a rest for a while to get some relaxation.

Yes, I know it is based on your Seed and every bet is unique.... but I just get the feeling that there are something added somewhere that incentivize "newbie" gamblers to win more in the beginning (hook) and once you rank up and you are hooked... large wins are somehow reduced. (Impossible to prove this, because the casino code is not Open Source)

That said.... soon after I posted my observation... I hit a 860x  multiplier on a $0.20 bet on "Fire in the Hole" Slot..... so it kinda answered my question... It is still possible to win big, even if you are a higher rank player.  Tongue
4019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China might really be out of Bitcoin and the cryptospace on: July 17, 2021, 08:59:48 PM
You know the sad thing is.... it spilled over to Japan now. Japan was one of the first countries that accepted Bitcoin as a "Currency" and now they are busy creating their own "digital currency" and they suddenly established a committee to investigate the impact that "Stable" coins has on their economy.

This is becoming a trend in governments now.... they decide to create their own "GovCoins" and then Bitcoin is suddenly the enemy that are damaging their economy.  Roll Eyes
4020  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable Wallet on: July 17, 2021, 05:17:00 PM
Why did you call this ==> "Unstoppable wallet"?

Are you saying all other centralized wallets are stoppable? Running it through Tor might sound more secure, if it was not for all the "exit nodes" that are being hosted by law enforcement authorities?

Well, it looks good.... and having the source code out there.... help to give it more credibility. (I hate these wallets with proprietary source code)  Wink
