4001  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do card holders like Visa provide information to Central Banks? on: November 10, 2017, 04:15:16 PM
All banks work with goverment, all of them, except virtual ones!
There are no "virtual banks" that do not have to comply with KYC and AML.
Virtual bank "AdvCash.com" Check that out!
Check the actual modalities. You still have to comply with KYC/AML if you want to be able to use your money. You're just adding an extra step at outrageously high fees. Not to mention that it's completely foolish to go entrust your money to some pseudo-bank.
4002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: November 10, 2017, 03:00:58 AM
I i do the math (mynumberodWTC)/10.000.000*1000 then i received 1/10 of the expected bitcoin cash.
Maybe sasha kept some of them?

no, if my math is correct 1000 BCH were distributed to 10.000.000 WCT

I own 3 000 WTC,
So (3 000/ 10 000 000)*1000 = 3/10 = 0,3 BCC
When i said i do math, I really do math.

And I  get 0.03 BCC so 1/10 of that supposed i was suppose to receive
Until figure prove i am wrong, Waves airdropped 100 BCC not 1 000.
Or it is an unfair air drop?
I don't know what the official message was, but I have read something about the Bitcoin Cash airdrop happening in installments. So it could be possible that the entire amount will be dropped over several rounds.
4003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: November 10, 2017, 02:27:46 AM
Better idea would be to buy and hold ethereum. Is going for sure more than 1000usd until the end of 2018.
Another good investment would be a good ICO, would give you much higher returns.
Waves is a bad idea to hold, I think won't have a good end this platform.
That would be 3x in 14 months. Waves will definitely do more than that if your prediction is right.

And please elaborate what makes you think that it won't have a good end. Because so far it's moving along just fine.
4004  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can Humans achieve Immortality? on: November 10, 2017, 02:26:13 AM
Not in flesh and bone.
Biology will inevitably cause errors in cell replication, resulting in incurable cancer, and the organism will die. (See Blade Runner)
We would need to find a way of transferring our consciousness to a more durable host.
There is no such thing as "uncurable cancer". There's only "we're not developed enough to cure it yet cancer".

Put another way, "There is no way to cure biological death".
Yet. A lot of funding is going into changing that though.
4005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: November 10, 2017, 02:25:15 AM
Thee is no 2x Fork anymore and the price still rising  Cry
Rising? It has been moving sideways since the fork has been called off.

LOL, for real?  everyone knows they're watching you.  heck, they probably knew what I was going to type here before I did!
They did for sure. They used to have an oracle that auto-completed your questions a few years ago. I'm sure they have an army now.

4007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEEPONION - My opinion!! Stay away on: November 10, 2017, 02:22:24 AM
Do they ask to buy 100 onion now to be eligible for the airdrop? wow
I am not following it lately, but I did follow their thread few weeks ago where their participant claims to receive $600-700 worth of onion
That was actually true from what I could tell. But they have changed the rules for some reason that I don't understand, and now it's not really lucrative for people without thousands of dollars in onions to join.
4008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: November 10, 2017, 02:16:19 AM
If you can outperform Golem, that's pretty good. Sonm's performance may have to wait until 2018.
In January or February we will know which project the market deems to be better. Smiley
4009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Historical day bitcoin price 6000 $ on: November 10, 2017, 12:58:44 AM
When I saw the price, I was really excited. It's great seeing bitcoin move from about 800  dollars at the beginning of the year to 6000 dollars, it's just too great.
If the price of bitcoin continue to soar up like this, I'm sure before the end of the year,  bitcoin should be around 10000 dollars.
Could easily happen. I'd imagine that people would bull run the altcoin market now and then cash out their profits into Bitcoin around the end of the year before cashing out Bitcoins into fiat for christmas or new year's parties.
4010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are you all holding your Bitcoin for the fork? on: November 10, 2017, 12:57:32 AM
My bitcoi s was always in secure paper wallets which I can see my private keys. If you are in doubt of what you should do to get you post-fork coins i reccomend for you to store at any wallet which you can control your private keys and withdraw then of all exchanges or hot wallets.

I think during forks bitcoins that are stored on a paper wallet will not be awarded with the new token.
You should put your bitcoins into a wallet that will support the new coin to make sure that you will have it during the fork.
As long as you have access to your private keys it doesn't matter where you store your Bitcoin during forks. You will just have to use the private key in the respective wallet to pick up your coins.
4011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next 5 year for Bitcoin on: November 10, 2017, 12:56:31 AM
most likely the rise of bitcoin in the next 5 years will probably increase by 60% because this factor covers the development of the world economy as well, so it would be better if we all HODL bitcoin right now
It will almost certainly climb much more than just 60% in the next 5 years if Bitcoin doesn't get replaced, which is not likely. In 2023 we should easily see 50-150k per Bitcoin. I'm more interested in a small amount of altcoins though. There are quite a few that without a doubt will last for many years.

When we are at five years to go, I am certain that during that time bitcoin will become more stronger currency and won't be replaced by any kind of digital currency. It will become the most profitable currency and at the same time a sustainable asset for the future. Most specially we are here to witness the very best price to be achieve and hopefully this will  bring us wealthier life in terms of financial capability.
Most profitable definitely not. But it'll almost certainly be the safest bet to place in crypto for the next 5 years.
4012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEEPONION - My opinion!! Stay away on: November 10, 2017, 12:55:29 AM
Hi All,

What are your thoughts on this project and how it manages its airdrops?

My opinion is that it's run like a pyramid scheme. Anyone new interested in this project I would suggest not to participate in the airdrop as you'll l get peanuts.

You will be asked to buy 100 onions and then given 7-8% on your total which is about 8 onions. A complete joke.

The Dev team are very secretive and all hijack the airdrops. Ever heard of the devs participating in airdrops?? Well here it's a first. No funds put aside for the devs.

All my posts have been deleted because I asked about the Dev team etc.

There's no whitepaper and the coin is only on one exchange. Odd.

I was ready to invest some btc to this project thinking that I would get some incentives from the airdrops but I got indirectly told take it or lump it.

Some of the members do nothing but are rewarded 100x of coins.

Anyways my 2 cent. I would advise stay away because it's going to get dumped hard when the airdrops will finish.

I'm going to sell my small amount of deeponions and buy into projects like xtrabytes.

You must have applied to become part of the DeepOnion airdrop and either got rejected or got a very small portion of the airdrop because you only have a hundred onions in your wallet. That is a truth you can hardly hide. I am not totally in favor of deeponion but you sound like a whining little child. It is their airdrop so you cannot do anything about their own rules. Let us just stay away from it if we do not agree with them. All right? And wazzup with xtrabytes? LOL.  Wink

I dont have no onions now. Got rid of the shit coin.

So that's the end of it.
I don't see why anyone would want to join DO right now, but it looks like Manuj's analysis was spot on. You do sound like an angry little child...
4013  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone thing most Google products are spying on them? on: November 10, 2017, 12:54:22 AM
Lmao no they're the most secure system in the world.
I really can't tell if that's sarcasm or if you seriously think that.

My friend is participating each airdrop of deep onion but now he told me he can't do anything to convert or to cash out because they require investments to proceed. Now I believe you are telling the truth as this supposedly the worst thing happened in cryptocurrency being tagged as scam.

lololol. what a load of old bollox. you need a minimum of 100 onions which does come to a lot. and you can easily get them for free. he can sell them if he wants to without any problem. you do not or never have had to invest ANY money into this. this is not a scammy ico. it's a free airdrop/signature campaign. what is wrong with people? they listen to a lot of shit from a few people who are angry because they got caught cheating the system or had to youndg an account to join. these rules were put in place to stop the ones who had bought and multi accounts from getting more than one payout each week. they were put there to make sure we got the best people involved and not just the dumpers.the 100 coin minimum rule was put there to show a little support for the coin rather than just keep selling it off. thats a good thing for the coin. wake the fuck up and stop listening to these idiots and make your own minds up., you truely are missing out on a fantastic chance here.wheres the risk? you don't need to buy anything with your money. join the forum,be active and get onions for free.
It doesn't matter if you can get the 100 Onions for "free" (which you can't because it's surely going to be tethered to some sort of task) if you're only going to get 5-10 Onions out of it per week when participating in the signature campaign.

Every other signature campaign pays more than that, so for most people it would make more sense to just do another campaign and maybe buy some Onions if they really want some.
4016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: November 10, 2017, 12:14:58 AM
It is very possible because there are organisational in Nigeria now trying to build educational materials around blockchain. So, to get drugs through bitcoin is very possible.
Plus the use of bitcoins is very anonymous, so people are free to perform any transaction with bitcoin. This is what keeps the bitcoin from becoming legal throughout the world, because not all countries see bitcoin is positive, if someone already knows the bitcoin of a criminal like this then bitcoin will be viewed as an illegal item. I'm very sad about this.
Bitcoin is not anonymous. It's very easily tracked and governments have identified numerous people who used Bitcoin for money laundering already. Bitcoin can be used anonymously, but it's very difficult to do properly unless you really understand cryptography and networks.
4017  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble or Not? on: November 10, 2017, 12:13:37 AM
The bubble is unlikely, the market is increasingly expanding and the resilience of Bitcoin is very fast. In my country, in my feeling, the demand for bitcoin is increasing significantly in this year, disregard the government's recommendation.

We're probably in a bubble at the moment but doesn't mean that the price will just stop climbing. Everyone knows that bitcoin will correct in terms of price soon but after the correction comes there is a new support level built from the previous pump for bitcoin.

If you were to buy into bitcoin for the long term which i think is a good idea, at least wait for a correction to come first and buy the dip when everyone else is panicking about the situation. Don't buy when everyone is pumping BTC.
I think that we still very often will have to watch the rise and fall of Bitcoin Point. But it will not say that Bitcoin is waiting for a bad future. All those price fluctuations can depend on many factors, up to what can be speculative artificial manipulation from large whales. But the big demand also has a very strong effect on the course.
Almost the bullish trending of Bitcoin recently are by the whale control the price of Bitcoin.
Why does Bitcoin increase to $7,000 without SegWit2x?
This is a question after the Bitcoin miners decide Bitcoin will not have any hardfork in this month, I really doubt that!
Why would it not increase to $7000? It's in the mainstream news almost every day now. And most people don't even know what SegWit or SegWit2x means.
4018  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: US Bank that is crypto-friendly? on: November 10, 2017, 12:10:11 AM
My local bank put my account under review because I exchanged 200 ETH into fiat from Coinbase and transferred the USD to my account. I hear PNG, Bank of America, and a few others are doing the same to account holders.

Can anyone recommend a US bank that is crypto-friendly?
If bank lets you to exchange crypro, it's already crypto-friendly. Remember that everything depends on value of money. I bet you will never have problem if you exchange 500$ weekly but so much ether in one time, it causes some doubts. (In my situation it's like: What is the source of money, why so much money, is it attemp of money laundering and etc silly ones). Send them what they want, every crypro-friendly bank you are looking for would do the same.
There are some banks that let you do this actually. But you still have to comply with KYC and AML laws, so without filing proper tax reports your funds will still get frozen for inspection if you cash out huge sums.
4019  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your favourite RETRO games? on: November 10, 2017, 12:09:11 AM
We need a new word to replace retro. That word is kind of annoying. Why not, "What is your favorite old game?"

I guess to me they are all video games, and the word Retro makes it sound as if they're supposed to be different. While older game perfectly describes what they are.

But I guess I'm stuck with the word retro.
To be fair, the word is used wrongly in this OP title anyways.

If I created a new game today that is similar to an older game, it would be a retro game.

But old games are not retro as long as they were not trying to emulate an even older game.

People just use words without understanding their meaning all the time, and retro is just one example. People literally use "literally" in the wrong way all the time as well, to a point where the word has pretty much lost all of its meaning. But what can you do. Smiley
4020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 vs waves on: November 10, 2017, 12:05:28 AM
The Forbes article makes me want to continue to develop with waves. I know ERC20 is popular now. Man I am torn. I pulled my developer off waves and moved to ERC20 about 2 weeks ago, but now I am having second thoughts.

I would go with Waves for so many reasons.

But honestly, I doubt you can do anything wrong with either as long as your project is good.
