4001  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fiat-to-crypto: is it safe? on: September 26, 2019, 06:34:31 PM
Hey everyone. I'm new to crypto and I wanted to ask if there's a point of buying crypto with a credit card.
I found a lot of exchanges where users can easily (as they say) buy cryptocurrencies with their bank card. I mean, at binance they request like a lot of data about me, including my phone number or date of birth.
Aren't they selling my private info (that would explain 0,25$ fee on changelly for example), and doesn't that conflicts with the statement about my anonymity?

That would be fair for every fiat-to-crypto exchange, so my question is: do you use it and is it really safe?
Those are the KYC procedure you have to go through. The exchange also (I think) has no say in this since they are bound to do so because of legal reasons. People would easily launder money if there were no such verification. I know this defeats the purpose of using crypto currencies but there are currently no option right now.
About your data. No one is sure or can know if they are selling it or not.
4002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust New wallets with your fund on: September 25, 2019, 08:35:01 PM
Well, if they download random wallets from the store or the internet and loses their funds, then sadly, they do deserve to get scammed and hacked. At least they will learn a lesson from here. They will be careful next time when using such wallets. Sounds harsh, but this harsh way will actually open their eyes.
Like other suggested, never use a new random wallet that just popped up. Don't even think about using a web wallet to store your coins for long term!
4003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which exchange is going to be the next high volume Altcoin exchange? on: September 25, 2019, 08:04:05 PM
You shouldn't be focusing and judging an exchange based on its trade volume. Keep this in mind, most of the exchanges create fake volume to keep themselves on the top. Instead of focusing on this sector, try to look out for other features that exchange has to offer its users. Binance does have some good volumes and feature compared to other exchanges. But they have been receiving negative vibes ever since some unfortunate events happened to them.
4004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is now Available in 6,000 Outlets all over Philippines on: September 25, 2019, 07:19:23 PM
This is actually a very good news for the people living in Philippines. If countries like this can easily adopt and spread the usage of crypto currencies, why can't our western countries do the same? Why are they so aggressive towards crypto currencies? Just look at Philippines, they are so crypto friendly. It won't be take long enough for them to become one the first countries to have real financial freedom. They should keep it up and expand the usage of crypto currencies even more!
4005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Online Casino has the Most Fun Games? Recommendations? on: September 25, 2019, 07:06:53 PM
I would suggest you to look for a legit, easy to use casino instead of a casino that provides fun games. If you are looking for playing some slots or roulette you can try crypto-games.net. They also have blackjack, video poker, lotto and dice. You can try their minesweeper which is their latest addition to their site. I am pretty much sure you will enjoy it. You can even use CoinSwitch directly from their sites. If you face any problem, you can ask for help in chatbox. There will always be a moderator to help!
4006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Is The Right Time To Trade Your Tokens on: September 25, 2019, 06:24:23 PM
There is no "right time to trade". All those articles out there spurs those random stuffs and most of them makes no sense. The market is evolving every moment. You never  know what is going to happen. There are people out there that gives some random prediction based totally on random bullshits. The market price can never be predicted. It all depends on the supply and the demand. This is not a normal grocer market where there some specific time for things that will have high demand. There are no such thing as a "season" on this market. Thus you will never know when is the right time to trade your tokens.
4007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: September 25, 2019, 06:06:19 PM
Sport betting is strange when it wants to be, it never a sure fact the impossibility can turn possible.
When booking a bet many bets on what the majority had placed before hand.
What am I saying betting site releases games for betting and gives an option where you see what others has selected and very often it's the one with the lower odd that  people place bet on.

Last week Saturday was a Turing point for me as I refused to bet with majority(31-8-2019) and placed a draw on the match between osasuna and FC Barcelona. Most people would see it as an unwise decision but that's soccer the foolish thing can turn out to be wise.

How many times have you gone against the crowd and smiled to the bank
I don't do sports betting. At least I used to. But I don't see anything foolish over here. What is wrong with placing a bet on something with high payout? I used to place such weird bets because it is actually fun and more thrilling to do so. Place a bet on a team that has high chance of losing but in the end they somehow manages to win. Just look how exciting that is. And the payout is also usually extremely high in such cases. I have done it numerous time, after all betting is all about taking risks.
4008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why price down after listing in exchanges on: September 25, 2019, 05:03:16 PM
Yeah it is true. The main reason for the price drop is mainly because of the second point you have mentioned. Before the tokens get listed in an exchange, there are different programs hosted by the project to earn their tokens like bounty program, signature campaign, airdrops and giveaways. No once the token gets listed, users who received those tokens without investing anything starts to dump their tokens to cash out their tokens to fiat currency or some other well known crypto currencies. Thus as soon as the token gets listed, the price starts to fall and takes a lot of time to recover (considering that the project is a good one and successful)
4009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Teach me a trading strategy on: September 24, 2019, 08:14:35 PM
Thought i could make more than i was making from my life work but unfortunately it seems to be exact the same, since i have entered this crypto haven i haven't make up to 700$ yet, ridiculously like my life work, is there any one on here who can show me a good trading startegy? i know there are good ones but no one is showing how
The key strategy, is to buy low and sell high. You need patience. You will need a strong will to hold your coins. Whenever you see the price dipping and keeps going further down, you will still have to hold it. The best way to keep holding during dip is to keep on remembering that in the long run, the price will always go up. Also do keep this in mind that no matter how much the price falls down, as long as you haven't sold anything, you didn't make any loss. You will posses the same amount of coins.
Oh, and the more experience you have in trading, the better it is. So keep trading until you master it.
4010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If regulation never comes on: September 24, 2019, 06:38:25 PM
If regulation never come anytime sooner can we protect ourselves? how can we protect ourselves from crypto monsters hiding in disguise, especially bounty projects coming into crypto space with full force, any ideas ? I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves ?
Do you really think regulators can stop these "monsters" you are talking about? They will always exist no matter how much policies and tougher regulations are done. You have to protect your own self from these bounty projects. It is your own responsibility to make sure you are joining the right campaign. The only strict blows you all can give is to avoid them at all cost.
4011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The house edge on: September 21, 2019, 02:31:30 PM
Hello guys,

So I'm interested in gambling sites, to be precise, that have the best user edge and many options like "stop loss" and controls like "auto spin". Which one do you use. I have found some but only that require deposit or shit like that. So I am open for any good advice? And no spam please!

Thank you,
Angell
If you haven't you can try crypto-games.net! They have a very low house edge compared to most other casino out there. They also have auto bet feature where you can configure the the bot according to your own wish (like you can stop it after the balance reached certain level or increase bet after a win and so on). They also have plinko and slots were you can just let it spin automatically while you sit back and relax.
4012  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The End of Crypto Signal Groups on: September 21, 2019, 02:16:11 PM
Hi Everyone!

I just published an article about how it will soon be the end of crypto signal groups. Check it out and let me know what you think!

https://blog.shrimpy.io/blog/the-end-of-crypto-signal-groups

Thanks
A very well written blog! Yeah, it is true that the are/was a total failure. For some reason, I always hated those group and kinda looked like the group were there just to benefit those "experienced" traders you are talking about. They take advantages of those newbie traders for their own benefit (like they make them invest of some shit coins in an exchange were the leaders themselves were pumping the price and ends up dumping the coins). But I guess were some legit signal groups out there but failed due to those issues you mentioned.
4013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are to be blame on: September 21, 2019, 01:33:41 PM
Really if there is anyway to erase scammers off crypto space it would have been better, 2019 would have bring better results for altcoins if not for scam projects everywhere scamming new investors, now scammers are scaring off new crypto investors wannabe since there is no trust or whatsoever and investors don't want to lose money either, whatever the next altcoin results is going to be will not be huge as many expected due to investors not trusting new altcoins anymore, no wonder why binance launchpads are selling out in seconds.

If crypto space is just like how binance managed IEO project in return for their own reputation altcoins will be skyrocketing right now because much more money will flow in, exchanges like binance is giving out trust investment that i really hope the entire altcoin space can do the same but its a shame scammers are robbing off the trust
You just can't "erase off" scammers from the internet. There will always be scammers out there. It is just that you have to be careful when surfing the internet. Just be extremely cautious when dealing with anyone or investing on anything. Analyzing a project is also actually a part of your investment. And why are you blaming those scam projects for the low price of the alt coins? You should be blaming those people who encourages those scammers (like through investing on those project even though they know it is going to fail but greed got them good).
4014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How many crypto exchanges are really required? on: September 21, 2019, 12:39:31 PM
Now a days, I have observed that out of ten projects three or four are of new exchanges. At the moment there are so many exchanges available for cryptocurrencies. When we invest in other projects and its token got listed in one of the new exchange, we have to create account with that exchange to trade those tokens.
Do you really think that there is a need of so many exchanges? isn't it very complicated and lengthy to keep accounts in many exchanges?
Please share your views.

If you look at those different exchanges you will see that each of them differ in functionality and usability. Now different users have different needs when using an exchange. Again there are thousands of crypto users out there. A single or few exchanges can never fulfill the need of the expanding user base. So we actually do need a good  number of exchanges. Shit exchanges will eventually be abandoned.  You don't have to worry about that.
4015  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware Phising Sites Fake Dogechain on: September 21, 2019, 12:33:02 PM
Hello, recently there have been many victims of fraud by phising sites dogechain

While the official dogechain website is https://dogechain.info/

Here are the differences from the appearance of dogechain.info (ORIGINAL) and dogechain.org (SCAM)

Homepage of the original site https://dogechain.info
[img] https://ibb.co/2Wy5Czq [/ img]
Navigation on the homepage https://dogechain.info everything can be clicked.

Meanwhile

Image of the Fake Dogechain site dogechain.org
[img] https://ibb.co/dWBWQMg [/ img]
navigation that can be clicked is only the Login Page, while others, such as the Create New Wallet Menu and Reedem Paper Wallet if clicked on will not be able to.

And more dangerous, the fake site Dogechain.org turns out to be indexed by Google in order number 2, the following appearance.

[img] https://ibb.co/94FndVF [/ img]

Solution: Use mobile wallet for dogechains such as Coinomi, DogechainWallet by langerhans. And if you are forced to use a web wallet, don't forget to bookmark the original dogechain web, https://dogechain.info

the purpose of creating a thread: In order for everyone to avoid phishing dogechain sites, because before I created this thread, I looked for a similar thread in this forum but there are no threads discussing scampage or phishing dogechain sites
No one should be using a web wallet in the first place. They are  never safe no matter how much they emphasize and boast about their security.  The site can always be hacked and during a down time you might lose access to your coins when you need them the most. And lets not forget about those fake sites most of the newbies fall for.
4016  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ebay-like website that accepts bitcoin? on: September 21, 2019, 12:18:13 PM
I am wondering if there is an auction website like ebay, or anything similar that accepts bitcoins.
I haven't come across any such sites yet, though sounds like a very good idea. There is probably a site out there but is lacking from exposure. You can still use crypto currency indirectly on ebay. Buy a gift card using bitcoin or any altcoin, then just redeem it on ebay. You can get your ebay gift card from bitrefill.
4017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My gambling strategy on: September 20, 2019, 04:02:19 PM
It is just that you got lucky with your strategy. Strategies are just a sort of gamblers fallacy. In the long run you are bound to lose to the house due to the house edge. Try running your auto bet setting for more than 2/3 days, you will see that you have lost everything you had. It is better to cash out your coins as soon as you are on the green side of your balance.
4018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: September 20, 2019, 06:29:08 AM
Lottery where you can see the total pot and the win chance of each users (like lotto at crypto-games.net) allows you to estimate how many tickets have been bought and what are the chances of winning the lotto of each users. This becomes more controlled form of gambling. This also allows user to snipe the lotto (buy as much as tokens possible right before the lotto ends so others don't get to increase their win chances) and easily win the prize pool. Its a little risky, but totally worth taking the shot specially if the prize pool is high (like after the monthly wagering contest at crypto-games).
4019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pishing Scam Goes Wrong on: September 19, 2019, 07:31:44 PM
273 Chinese nationals were arrested in the Philippines, accused for defrauding more than one thousand investors in an alleged Bitcoin scam syndicate as per information from coindoo...
-snip-
I hope in future more of these criminals will face karma one way or the other and people should stop trying to double bitcoin without working for it, its simply greed
They do deserve this. All scammers should be prosecuted lawfully. Unfortunately, its the peoples fault. They fall for all these bullshit scams. The scams are most of the time quite obvious, but like you said, due to their greed they don't think straight and then falls for the scam. These people are the ones that are actually influencing those scammers even more sadly.
4020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 18 months on .... im one of the 99% on: September 19, 2019, 07:16:09 PM
im one of the 99% who lost money in the past 18 months
i preferred alt coins , but if i had chosen bitcoin i would have
been in same position ce la vie

one of the last projects im with is still in existence , just !
it seems semi abandoned , but i have millions of tokens
trapped in a project ( website digital token ) that had ambitions to
be a crypto but never made it so far

just wondering is there such a thing as a non listed token exchange
where semi failed projects can exchange tokens for other semi failed projects :-)
id like to split my risk
You are probably using a translator, so it is really hard to understand what you are saying and asking.
Sadly, altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin thus has greater risk when investing your money to it compared to bitcoin. Again, looks like you have invested on a project that you think has potential but unfortunately, the project has been abandoned (I am assuming this based on your post were you say "never made it so far"). That is why I refrain people from investing on ICOs and stuffs. I have heard most of them failing even if they have high potential. I would rather recommend you to invest on bitcoin than investing in an ICO or random altcoins.
Why would you want to split tokens with failed project? They won't have values anyway.
