But coins like stellar, ethereum have a much better potential than these blocked alts.
Better forget about eth, they are very suspicious nowadays. I am not in loop with stellar on the other hand. I would just put my bet on NXT rather, its the most innovative coin right now, for investors. Not necessarly a a very useful currency, but definitely an innovation platform. So better keep 10000 NXT in your wallet dont spend it on pizza

I just think ETH will pull their exit scam soon, it was a very shady coin from the start, but now losing that much money is ultra suspicious. They will probably tell that their servers got hacked and lost all the funding, from their yachts that they bought on the "lost" money It's hard to do an exit scam when they already spent most of the money (mostly to and on themselves I suspect) and told everyone about it. The past year and half has been one slow motion exit scam. They could sell their remaining ETH or print more and sell it? I am no expert. Or they could ask for more funds, and then run away with it. At this point anything could happen, i would not be surprized. The whole thing seems very shady to me from the start.

And that is saying something. Its not like its the first multi million dollar altcoin that did that. Just check the news and you will see plenty scams around. No but i am very suspicious about their recent activity , and they are going towards a bad path. Check out their salary, its huge, they are wasting money, furthermore, this could end up just like the bitcoin foundation bankruptcy.

Not if another crisis happens, your broker/bank/insurer can all go from 1 day to another, and you lose all your investments.
The stocks you hold in your brokerage accounts are not yours, the broker holds custodianship of it, so if the broker goes bankrupt, as part of liquidation, it will sell your stocks, and you will be left nothing.
Apart from that 10,000€ investment insurance, you will get nothing (and if the insurer goes bankrupt , then not even that).
But still its better to invest to stock than to invest in mutual funds and i think when the time you invest hope that theres no crisis will happen. [/quote] I`d rather just stay away from any large scale investment methods, the systematic risk is just too great. Stock investments were fun until the 90's but after that the leverage is too big that it can crash the entire system. I`d just go with hard assets if you got a lot of money, and in remote countries where they are very cheap. Ex: Buy land in 3rld world countries. I think its a good investment.

Just like I said, they do offer it in a theory, but if actual hack would happen it would be interesting to see what would happen. Especially since this is a completely new field for insurers as well. Something tells me that they would find many loopholes they would actually try to use not to pay out insurance.
Exactly, the laws are so vague and badly verbalized that it can be interpreted many different ways. The mere fact that these contracts are 100+ pages long makes it hard to summarize and can have many clauses that could put further loopholes. I tell you even if they would win a legal battle against a non paying insurer, it would take many years in court, at which point customers would totally lose faith. It's the same old sneaky shit that happened in Cyprus with the banking insurers, people barely got back even the 10000€ that was "guaranteed" to them.

Too bad you cannot short most of the altcoins, not all exchanges allow it, certainly not the ones I`m trading at. It would be an easy bet.

With this fake democracy at least the leaders can restrict some wishes of the irrational sheeple. If it were a real democracy then the wishes would be infinite, and hyperinflation would be imminent to pay down those wishes.
Why do the wishes of the 'irrational sheeple' need to be 'restricted'? Your healthcare example was about irrational needs (e.g. smoking) being restricted by leaders. What makes you think those wishes will be 'payed down' in a real democracy. Politicians get elected because they're granting 'wishes' they can't afford, like me paying 30 a month for full coverage health insurance. 'Hyperinflation' wont pay down for anything. A vote will never matter much, it's how people live and act that matters. Because freedom is more valuable than the "common good". We are adults here, and we should be responsible for our own choices. If one guy gets lungh cancer from smoking irresponsible all his life like a 5 year old, nor am I not responsible for that, nor shall I not pay for that. It's his fault, he should pay for it. If he ask me nicely, I might donate to him, but he has no right to steal that money from me though forced healthcare. So, yes smoking is bad, but we should neither ban it, nor encourage it, nor create a ponzi scheme collectivist healthcare just so that then we should have the justification to ban it later.

From Reddit :
"The highest salary is $190,000, followed by $180,000, followed by something in the 150s (I personally am not even in the top 3; mine is 137k CHF/year). For refrence, Gavin Andresen's salary was ~$210,000 when he was working for the Bitcoin Foundation; it got published somewhere and I have a link in an old post on reddit. The people who earn the most per hour are probably our external security auditing partners that make $300/h."
I like how people are generous, with other people's moneyIts just when the bitcoin foundation paid the secretary 200k $ or something like that? Its fucking unbelievable. Guys dont give more money to these pricks, they have no idea how to organize themselves.

The library creation process should be faster, we need that wallet in 2015, so i hope devs can hurry up.
I wont buy more monero until this happens, and i`m sure many investors think the same.

Keep your bitcoins in a cold storage with strong encryption by a password. Because bitcoin itself a good investment. If you want to multiply your bitcoins do a bitcoin based service and get your profits in bitcoin.
Ok but be specific, i mean i`m asking for specific investments sites, not advices. Please no chit-chat in this thread, i`m looking to collect all good investments sites here, so if you dont know any then please dont post.

I hope you guys are right, ETH sucked out all innovation and capital out of NXT like a vampire.
And now it turns out to be a shady scam, it is unbelievable. I always trusted NXT, it is my friend coin, ETH is just a piece of scam in my views.
ETH's rise is somewhat coincident with NXT's fall, but not the cause. NXT got off to a terrible start with distribution limited to a tiny handful of whales. Then it was hollowed out by multiple forks of its code and socioeconomic ecosystem (NEM/SYS, and/or whatever they were called). For over a year, NXT has been a solution in a futile search for a problem to solve. It's old, outdated, and dying, just like the language in which it was written. Insider: Oracle has lost interest in Javahttp://www.infoworld.com/article/2987529/java/insider-oracle-lost-interest-in-java.htmlSep 30, 2015 New sources are stepping up questions about Oracle's stewardship of the Java development platform There has been a lot of scuttlebutt lately about Oracle and a supposed de-emphasis on Java within the company. The rumblings are getting louder. From the apparent dismissal of Java evangelists to an email alleging a shrugged-shoulders attitude about Java, Oracle’s commitment to the platform has come into question. The email, sent to InfoWorld on Tuesday by a former high-ranking Java official, claimed to feature details from inside Oracle. It said the company was becoming a cloud company, competing with Salesforce, and "Java has no interest to them anymore." The subject line cited " Java -- planned obsolescence." Yea but they got a huge dev team working in it actively, and they will fix any bug they found. They put out many new innovations since their launch so it is a definitely a great currency to hold in my view. The time of NXT will come, very very soon

If paper money loses its value at least I can use it for firewood lol. I think there will always be some form of paper money, but I see crypto really taking over imho. Everything is going digital I could be wrong but I see it as inevitable in a good way.
No they cant its very funny. Paper money burns badly and too fast, so it doesnt even generate enough heat to go through winter on it. In some places the fiat money is literally worth less than goat shit, because goat shit burns better than fiat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ak1iojpiHpM

Lol are you serious guys? So ETH was proven to be a scam?
I was just replying to other threads talking about ETH being suspicious, but this really confirms my suspicions.
So if ETH is a scam, then i`m not even that surprized because i suspected this for a long time. It is promising too much but doesnt deliver jackshit, not even a wallet is ready lol.

NEM is a cheap copycat of NXT, i just find NXT to be the solely 2.0 currency out there. Nothing else comes close.
Ethereum fanboys will be butthurt but sorry. NXT is the big deal here only

Man guys, i`m waiting for a long time for the monero wallet, when it will come out.
