4001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost phone with bitcoin wallet on: March 06, 2021, 09:17:30 AM
I was very unfortunate to have lost a phone that had bitcoin sitting in the wallet. I was foolish and did not back the wallet up. I am wondering if there is any way to get my bitcoin at this point? I should also mention that I lost this phone 2 years ago and the lost bitcoin is now worth about 60k so whatever I could do to get it back.

Any advice is extremely welcome.

So if your phone was lost two years back and you have btc stored in wallet you should have tried to recover your phone immediately at that time because two years back btc prices were still good. What's the fun of asking now?
Moreover you don't have any access to your private keys and seed phrase through which you can import your private keys to any other wallet under BIP-39 protocol like electrum, Mycelium or any other. But if you have not backed up seed phrase or private key there no other way you can have your funds back.

"Because in btc whoever have private keys he can spend the funds stored in them and by signing the transaction he is owner of funds." So there's no other way left.
4002  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: what trading communities do you hang around? on: March 05, 2021, 05:42:19 PM
There are different platforms on which you will find information related to trading that gives information which can affect the particular price but most importantly it's our own judgement how we take the opportunity of that news to shift momentum towards our own side and enjoy profits from them in the long run

Various sources include Reddit where influential people will guide you through various trading tips.

Instagram pages, twiiter news,BBC channel related to business,Telegram signal groups,Google, Bitcointalk forum or social interaction with people actively involyin trading feild. The combination of all of them will lead you to the right path of success.
4003  Economy / Economics / Re: The bitter reality on: March 05, 2021, 05:15:28 PM
The countries which are seeing btc and other crypto as  their enemies and try to put ban on them instead of regulating them they are just pushing themselves back in time and will not be able to compete with other nations.Nigeria which is at 27th position in world ecomomy at present is moving to a path where it is digging hole for itself.

The debts are growing day by day of Nigeria and economic growth is slow and will crypto bans have positive impact on the economy or rather than regulating cryptocurrencies and collecting tax revenue from the users will boost the revenue treasuries of government.

Here is list for number of crypto users in Nigeria :

So what's the benefit of such acts by Nigerian government I don't understand it.
4004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to take profit from your current bitcoin holding. on: March 05, 2021, 04:42:21 PM
The price of bitcoin started rising from 15k to 20k,from 20k to 25k, I thought it has reached the last increase this season.

The following day I saw a bullish movement again, I saw movement from 25k too 30k. I thought it will be too risky to buy when it was at 30k, but it kept rising until it was 32k. I bought some Satoshi at that price level.

Few days later it rose to 33k and started a bearish movement to 31k, I was already loosing my hard earned cash. I hastily converted it to etherum because it was performing better.

I later discovered that I made a very big mistake by cashing out at a loss, I would have waited a little. A week later, Bitcoin rose to 40k plus.

I want you to comment on this scenario, when should one cash out, as the volitality of the market is very scary.

What's your advice? Is it keep holding? What if keep holding means holding at a loss?
The volatility factor is here to stay for a longer period of time and you will also witness market crash, dips, price boost and its really depend upon you to decide entry and exit point of the market. But if you can wait for longer period of time and have patience until that time just HODL for that time period. The prices are once again rising and have reached $48k level but it's just a kickstart for major boost which are yet to come.

Imagine 5 years later the prices have reached to $200k and have crash to $140-$150k will it still matter to you at that time if you have invested at $50k or lower when you have 4x investment in such short span of time because negative people will still be calling it bubble.Lol

So it's upon you whether you want to stay or not depending on your needs or profit margins (usually everyone wants high returns) but advice is to Hold for longer period of time because you fiat will be depreciated with rise in inflation and BTC will help you to secure your future with high profits and payment methods.
4005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often are people really hacked out of their BTC? on: March 05, 2021, 04:22:30 PM
You don't get hacked or scammed all of a sudden because Bitcoin is most secure digital currency which is encrypted with SHA-256 algorithm which is one way hash function. You coins are lost if someone get access to your private keys and have access to your funds and they transfer them to their wallets or whenever you are victim of phishing and online scams where they ask you to donate to particular address or click on some kind of link installing virus in your software that will eventually lead to loss of your btc forever. You need to backup your keys in most secure ways because they are proof of ownership of your funds and whoever have them he is owner of funds.
4006  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are full nodes on: March 04, 2021, 04:20:50 PM
What are full nodes, how are full nodes important? Can the bitcoin network be possible without having the full nodes. Miners verify transactions, are they having full nodes to verify transactions?
Any participant who is running complete software of Bitcoin blockchain which is 321gb in size at this time(which keeps on increasing with time) is regarded as full node.Full nodes do not depend upon third party for any information as they have full record of each and every transaction of all registered address in the blockchain with them.Whenever a transaction is made on the network it is quickly prompted to the full nodes across the network which are connected with the wallets from which transaction input has been initiated and they are responsible for verifying the transaction that has been made.Full nodes are integral part of Bitcoin network as they are responsible for the transactions verification across the network and keeping record of that transactions.Miners are responsible for mining new blocks by solving cryptographic puzzle and adding transactions to that particular block in return of 6.25 btc block mine rewad + transaction fees of all transactions added to his block in the blockchain. So it's a proper chain system in which each and every participant is responsible for his functioning.
4007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Vanity address scam rising on: March 04, 2021, 02:30:07 PM
The idea of generating Bitcoin address with some character or string of your choice instead of generating random string of characters is known as Vanity address which was first introduced by Vanitygen who produces address taking inputs from you and giving results on that basis. The amount of time required to find a given pattern depends on how complex the pattern is, the speed of the computer, whether it is using CPU or GPU, and if you get lucky.

There are many mining pools who take fees from you for you desired Bitcoin addresses as they have more computing power dedicated to the network instead of individuals computing power

It is a costly and time consuming process  :

Average time taken to crack address

But in recent time these type of scams has grown and hacker are fooling people by generating fake vanity address in name of big organisations and people to lure people to donate to that particular address as most of them don't remember full length of address as its mixture of lower and upper case and integers. A recent report states such scam

Fake vanity address in name of Elon Musk and Spacex accused of
$2 million scam

So is it profitable for hackers and how much easy it is generate such vanity address? And its cannot be done by a single individual because it's require much processing power and other things. So what are your thoughts on this?
4008  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: March 04, 2021, 11:28:33 AM

The most common definition of wealth which is known to many people is that amount of money we have on our name which can be in form of liquid cash, fancy houses, cars collections or many other lavish items. But wealth has different relative meanings :

Quote
Definition of wealth according to Robert Kiyosaki, author of the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad.
The definition of wealth is the number of days you can survive without physically working (or anyone in your household physically working) and still maintain your standard of living.

Quote
The Government’s Definition of Wealth
Wealth means the sum of net taxable income and the adjusted assessed valuation of real property. (Code of Maryland 2014)” As you can tell this definition is more in line with the traditional interpretation of wealth. It does differ slightly as a lot of people assume that a good salary automatically means great wealth.

So different people have different perspective related to wealth in their own terms so it's upon you how a person calculate that he is wealthy or not as it has different meanings.

-Rich in resources
-Rich in knowledge
-Rich in wealth
-Rich in kindness and other qualitative factors

So what line are you really looking for?
4009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was invited to speak about Bitcoin to financial management college students on: March 04, 2021, 08:44:17 AM
Its really privilege when you are getting such honours at high levels that you are being part of the 1% of world population who are spreading awareness about the financial revolution that will be replacing the traditional monetary market based on decentralised trust of all the users. The youth are building block of the nation and economy depends upon them and if they are shown right path of crypto world they can bring great changes in replacing digital payment with fiat. It's really hard to teach people about the technical working behind Bitcoin but youth is well equipped with technical improvement and its easy to motivate them and make them understand things. So best of luck and thanks to you for such participation in growth of Bitcoin and blockchain technology.
4010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How way you choose way to saving Bitcoin ? on: March 04, 2021, 08:36:01 AM
Hello Everyone,

I just curious, How way you choose to saving Bitcoin ?

Example case, You have 0.01 BTC on your wallet now, will you saving on 1 address or you will splits the Bitcoin be 10 address 0.001 Bitcoin each.

You can split your funds in different address according to your wish but for that you need to allocate huge funds for security purposes. But for small amount of Bitcoin such as 0.001 you can have one Bitcoin address of each type like P2SH address. You need to remember seed phrase for each of them and its easy to remember one or two of them and you can import your private keys and corresponding public key with that seed. But if you are using different address for such small amount it would result in paying higher transaction fees and issue of seed phrase so it's simple to use one wallet with one address.
4011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance as the third largest coin on: March 03, 2021, 03:16:12 PM
Binance has come a long way after the introduction of its own coin BNB which is now trading at $244.77 with total market cap of $38 billion which is quite large. It is now at 4th position just behind Cardano,ETH and Bitcoin. The main reason for such growth was large volume of trades on exchange and Introduction of its own smart chain Binance smart chain which will operate on its blockchain seperate from ETH.Many Defi projects are now shifting towards Binance smart chain because of network congestion and higher fees of ETH blockchain technology so that's why there has been surge in the prices of the coin in past few months.

These charts show how much growth BNB coin has witness in such short span of time as lines have went straight upwards from $40-$50 to present $228.
4012  Economy / Economics / Re: Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ? on: March 03, 2021, 02:08:35 PM
Why should i invest in bitcoin or other cryptos ?

If you buy land, each year even if you don't work it you get weeds ... if you dry them you can use them to make a fire ...and in turn that generates energy ...

Meaning: that piece of land is giving you a dividend each year .

Where's my dividend if i invest in crypto ?
Just go and research first and you will get to know returns of property and return of crypto investments and then you can make comparisons between both of them and then make such statements. The real estate has become little off road investment option for the investors these days because of the slow returns over your investments and its still not guarantee you will that much profit.Bitcoin and other profitable altcoins have generated much higher returns this year and will continue the same in future.
Bitcoin has generated over 62000% returns over 10 years. Which real estate business have given such returns ? The rest choice is yours.
4013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many people think that Bitcoin is not a currency with practical uses on: March 03, 2021, 01:34:32 PM
Quote
American economist and Harvard professor Kenneth Rogoff, in an interview with CNBC-TV18, said that the current zero interest rates on bitcoin are producing funny asset valuations

Many such economist like Rogoff have made such statements in the past and in reality that have not much impact on btc prices as mass people and organisations are now realising it's importance at global level due to its secure and reliable payment system based on decentralised format.

Although there are some problems like network congestion as TPS rate is lower and you have to pay higher fees in case to approve your transaction on the blockchain and volatility factor which will be solved with time but that does not make btc inferior or bubble compared to the fiat which is subject to many more realistic world problems which still have not been solved by the Governments.

Those are against it will eventually turn in favour of Bitcoin as they praise blockchain technology at this time they will say that btc is most trusted source of payment method and will be accpeted by all.

I think there is a coding error in your site. Your logo has been overlapped by Create New Account.

You need to shift it downwards to make it look more presentable.

People enjoy such quickies sometimes only. Batsmen need to level up their game now and pitches need to be neutral for more fun.

Ruturaj Gaikwod showed good intent in the last few matches and scored 4 consecutive half centuries if I am not wrong so he is going to play the slow and steady innings whereas the other partner need to open up like watto or precisely like Brendon Mccullum in the past. Smiley Hope Raina will be back into this IPL so he is the best to fit to play at one down so Faf will be forced to play at number 5 or even below if Moeen going to open the innings.
FAF at 5 is a waste of his talent. He is well suited at opening or one down. As rain will be back which means he will play at 3, which will actually disrupt the balance of this side.

As Rayudu performed so well when he opened in 2018, proper use of his potential is also been jeopardize because of the uncertainty of his batting position.

My potential side......

moen
faf
raydu
ruturaj
raina
dhoni
jadeja
sam curran/ bravo
deepak
shradul
imran tahir

Want to add Hazlewood on fastpitch but don't know how because I want Imran to play, he is an X- factor to this side.
