I am suspending Zetacoin donation address.

At this moment, total accumulated amount is: 461.02855737 ZET = BTC0.03624273 = £18.5

Rounding up, as usual, I will make a donation of £20 to the Trust.

Lot of people are expecting cheap coins at about same levels.

Never underestimate what panic selling can do but it will be difficult to bring btc there.

You mean, at 550?  Shocked

Hmm.
Good morning from Europe, or should I say, afternoon. Smiley
I seen 804 was touched on Bitstamp. My sights are set even lower, though. Cheesy  Tongue

And a new poll...

Well, well, well.

I wrote this quite large puppy (38702 lines of code):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149442.0
to control Bitcoin miners, and all I have to show for it is exactly 0 BTC in donations, even though I know that there were quite a few people who found it useful.

I love this stability, so I am going 50/50 again for the night.

Good night, everyone.

Europe over and out.

I felt severe nostalgia looking through old Bitcoin posts yesterday.

We were all dealing with nothing back then, but it was fun and exciting nonetheless.

Now extrapolate 2 years into the future... Wonder if the same sentiment will apply then as well. Wink

Most of it is just attempt to prove me wrong by expending words, which is very silly, because words have power only when they are true.

I think I have said all. Under no circumstances will I write anything in this thread before it goes to $500. I have a castle to attend to meanwhile  Grin

Edited the comment above to only include what I am replying to.

In my experience words have power when the coincide with what people want to hear. If they are true at the same time, is an added bonus. Skilled orators try to turn words in such a way so that they feel to the audience as if the orator is saying almost, but not entirely what the audience already wants to hear, so the audience accepts those words, and with time can even be turned completely.

It'll be sad not to hear from you for a long time. We may visit 500, but given the amount of resistance during the recent pop around 550, I doubt it. I am short-term bearish, but I wouldn't bet on reaching 600, maybe 650...

Crossing "Choo Choo" with a bear, and a general girl-obsessed theme of this thread, you get this:

Oh wow, 930 before i went to bed, and 930 after. The last thing i expected in the morning.

That's because I went 50/50 overnight - see? Cheesy

Good morning from Europe.

I noticed Loaded was here... I now consider abandoning more of my fiat position in favour of BTC. This probably means that the rest should do the opposite...

You are at risk of being a bang-on contra-indicator! Wink

Well, you know the worst part? I can't be my own indicator! Whenever I decide for something and then change my mind in the last second, then what I expected initially happens.

Depends on the odds. But most likely reptila can calculate them to his advantage. Too much math for me.  Smiley

I'm good at math, trends also. But wouldn't bet on either way. Risto has the ability to lose and laugh about it; I don't. Undecided
Everybody understands that *if* this maintains itself (or go better) next week will be rising like hell... right?

No. Math says that it takes 10x more everything to make the price rise from 10x higher level.

We do not have 10 times more anything, compared to last summer. 5 times we have, so the price is overvalued by a factor of 2, and will go down -50%.

I have thousands of lines of research on the subject but nobody reads it anyway so why even post...

I'd like to take a peek if you don't mind... ?

Me too!

Oh, and I am off to bed. Good late night from Europe. Please behave yourselves. Wink

There be a huge bid wall on Bitstamp at 830. I've usually seen those before a dump!

Don't worry, it will not be there for long. Watch.

Now it will go away.

Still there.

edit. it moved Tongue

All sing: It's a kind of magic! Smiley

And if a trade looks bad, hang on either way, don’t panic, just wait – if it’s gone totally bad, just take the fiat out and hold what you’re left with?

Or just accept the loss and buy back in.

By the way, I've already done what you describe, and can confirm that it really helps: to wit, I have cashed out everything that I initially invested in BTC, plus some more. It has an incredible positive effect on letting you stay calm through rough stretches and experiment with different strategies.

I wonder....
Given my track record, if I go all BTC tonight and accept that loss from my stupid spontaneous 804 sell, will the price move down in a flash-crash and reach my target of 801-781?
If I stay all fiat will it go to 980?
Or will it remain in the 850-890 range is I go 50/50?
I am starting to feel paranoia.  Grin

you should always have a healthy amount of fiat, incase of cheap coins.

I've been starting to wonder the same today. Maybe I should try some kind of balancing plan between fiat and BTC holding.

50/50 for tonight, then. At least I would cover some of the losses if the market makes a sudden move in either direction.

That seems pretty serious to me. Just in case, you all should sell right now.

US = 4% of the world, UK = ?

Just panic sell already!

Can't. I am all fiat since yesterday, waiting for an entry point.  Tongue

Troll alert:
But the news make me wonder if I should buy at all.
Maybe I should just cash everything out?!

Bitcoin, why u do this to me?  Grin

Welcome to the club.  Grin Please take a seat in one of the many dark corners. Please ignore quiet sobs coming from the other members.

I haven't accepted my losses, though, so I am all fiat still, trading a little on the ebb-and-flow inbetween.
4019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 13, 2013, 10:54:00 AM

So I am contemplating to reduce/leave the forum for a few months. I have also other projects. Thoughts?

Please, don't. You have a more silent audience as well. Wink
4020  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 13, 2013, 09:16:28 AM
Good morning from Europe and hello to everyone saying that going all fiat is stupid. You were, as always, right.

My only hope now is a sharp downward movement during the next three days, and knowing my luck, that will not happen.

This week saw me 3 BTC down, though almost at the same $ value. The worst decision was to sell at 804, after I auto-bought at 901 (down from 960), expecting the second down-leg.

Hopefully, we are at a local top before the week-end, so I am still in fiat. And I am in dire need of a second chance. Knowing Bitcoin, that chance would come, I just simply need not to botch it.

I am sorry you chose to learn the hard way.   We tried . . .

By the way, since you seem to like the risk of trading, where I just can't risk my precious BTC, I have an observation for you.   Look at the one day charts.   We had one large red candle the day the China news broke.   Imagine a stone thrown in a pond.   Following that, 3 days up, 3 days down, 3 days up, 2 days down.    2 days up?   1 or 2 days down?   If you are going to mess around, at least trade the larger swings, not every day.

Better yet, find an entry point and take a break . . .   You know you wish you had done it sooner.

Thank you for the insight. I discovered now the hard way, that my best trades were when I either placed limit orders and waited, or when I traded very small amounts on an ebb-and-tide. Anything inbetween, and I become too trigger-happy and lose.

I think I am going to reduce my trading allowance as well, to be on the safe side. Smiley

Oh, and about alts... I actually made 20 BTC on Zetacoin by just holding, when everyone was predicting it going to 0....

I know from experience the best thing I can do when I'm frustrated with the market direction is to take a position with it and then it'll probably reverse,

For you as well?!  Cheesy
