4002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World Map of Bitcoin Legality on: December 07, 2020, 04:56:06 PM
You should have mentioned this in your post "Last updated 208 days ago."

The status of bitcoin in India is not restricted anymore. Bitcoin was banned in India for the past few years but quite recently the ban on bitcoin was uplifted in India.
Currently the status of bitcoin in India lies somewhere bitcoin legal and restricted since there is no law for bitcoin yet (though few websites state that bitcoin is legal in India).
People are free to use it at their own risk. Anyway OP should update the post with the above bolded part.

Good thing that you have posted the source. I have responded to change the status of bitcoin in India on that site as well.

Please make a more offensive post next time. Use higher fonts, use red colour too and try to be a little more imposing as you weren't enough in this. I'm not going to read anything else from you though.
Dude, why are you getting tensed up. I was just saying you to mention the last updated status.
I did not make it an offensive post at all. It's just that we should provide a detailed information as much as we can so that the readers get the right information.
4003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using a lower bitcoin denomination(bits/sats/millibits): Which side are you on? on: December 07, 2020, 04:26:56 PM
IMHO it would be wiser to use the denomination in Satoshis because that's the real unit for bitcoin.
Why should we use microbitcoin or millibitcoin when Satoshi is the actual unit for bitcoin.
Besides that, imagine bitcoin reaching $100000, at that time we could buy 1000 Satoshis for $1 and that's how the denomination Satoshi will be more valuable.
4004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cause of the recent price spike on: December 07, 2020, 04:06:42 PM
We could have told you if there was one reason for the spike in bitcoin's price but there are many  Grin
Bitcoin was very much expected to increase in price after the halving event.
The history of bitcoin shows that after every halving event the price of bitcoin had spiked.
Also, the technicals of bitcoin shows that after the major correction (2018-2020) the price of bitcoin had to increase.
Then comes the positive news about Paypal using bitcoin.
Then big companies like Micro Strategy and Grayscale and other institutional investors investing in bitcoin was another reason that lead to the spike in bitcoins price.

4008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: December 06, 2020, 03:11:52 PM
It's not just about sports betting but about gambling as a whole. Even I have been gambling for quite a while now and I have only lost more than I have won.
We can't really do anything about it. Sometimes it's just our bad luck and other times we don't have enough skills and experience.
Stopping the bets at the right time is also a factor that derives accumulation of overall profits.
There are some who get a huge amount of money through betting/gambling but there are many who don't.
4009  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: December 06, 2020, 02:47:08 PM
Play for the game not the money, that should always be possible and I feel about that for anything.    You shouldnt have to be the biggest fish in the bowl just to have fun, I dont think thats what its about.   I feel its a good game even if I didnt bet alot so long as I came through against the odds especially then Im grateful for the experience.   Playing hoping to get rich is always going to be a bit of a pipe dream for most people.
The live stream is useful to pick up any tips without risking your own money, can be a way to orientate yourself if new at all but skip it if its only discouraging.

That's quite accurate. Gambling should just be for fun and we should definitely not look at it as a source of income (to get rich).
I have seen many people losing most of their money in gambling and wonder why do these people put in everything they have for the sake of gambling.
We should only put an amount we can afford to lose. That's what I believe. Even if we lose our money we don't have to stress about it again because it was just for fun anyway.
4010  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ Your Trusted Guide to the Best Bitcoin Casinos ⭐ on: December 06, 2020, 02:38:43 PM
What is shown in that picture FM? are you betting right now? it says live ?
I think so, he is currently playing the crash game.

--
Are you using a script? How do you do that @famososMuertos?

I'm curious about the interesting about reaching VIP4 hrmm 🤔 Huh

Not sure if he is playing the crash game but he is definitely playing one of the games on BC.GAME
The photo he has posted is of the "Live Stats" which is a feature to see live statistics of our bets on BC.GAME

When you start the crash game or any other game you can see the "Live Stats" button on the bottom.

Ane yeah, there are two modes for crash game "Manual" and "Auto". The script you are talking about is present by default in the "Auto" mode.
Once you click on "Auto" mode you can see 3 options "Simple, Martingale and Payout Martingale".
These are the 3 scripts which BC.GAME provides by default and we also have the option to "Add a Script"

I use the Martingale script frequently and it's fun to watch the script running while watching the Live Stats.

4012  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Dice Casinos on: December 06, 2020, 01:04:08 PM
I see that Primedice has got the most number of votes. I haven't really used Primdice much but have tried other gambling sites.
Among them I find Roobet the best site for dice game. It's really convenient and easy to use.
Roobet also has daily, weekly and monthly bonuses which gives an additional balance to gamble on the site.
4013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] How many of you have not "bought" bitcoin but still hold it on: December 05, 2020, 03:06:40 PM

I last held almost 12 bitcoins in 2017, and in that very moment I actually spent them. not left till now. wrong strategy i did. probably obsessed with the first halving. that's an experience that I can't forget.

because before 2017, right 2015 and 2016 I spent two years collecting and miracles really came to my life.
Damn, that's a huge amount of bitcoins. I hope you still have a portion of it left.

That's an interesting poll, I'll try to remember to revisit it to see the results when more people vote (it's only 2 votes when I'm writing this).
I am excited about the results too but I am sure that the number of people who bought bitcoin will outweigh the other ones.
I just want to see how many have not bought bitcoins though  Grin

Quote
I'm like you, I've never bought BTC, but I have it. A friend of mine managed to accumulate even more this way and hodles about 1 BTC. As per your assumption, he joined the forum and got acquainted with cryptos earlier than I did.
I'd like to add, however, that I don't have any specific amount that I always live in BTC. I just sell when I need to and hodl when I don't, and on average I tend to have about $1k in BTC, and it's been like that for years regardless of BTC price.
That's what I do too. There's no point of holding bitcoin if we can't use it when we are in need of it. Same as you, I just use it whenever I want and hold it the rest of the time.

Definitely not everyone succeeds in the first few tries. If you've failed so far, go try again because the longer you wait, the harder it gets to reach one whole bitcoin as the price rises long-term.
I am now trying to find multiple ways to accumulate bitcoin. Trading is a difficult task for me and I wouldn't like losing my precious bitcoins in an attempt to gain more.
4014  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heavy BTC resistance at $20k on: December 05, 2020, 02:57:34 PM
There is heavy BTC resistance at $20,000. Last time also, this was the level.

I think it is time to partially liquidate BTC and move the money to Cardano/Ripple/Tron etc. These coins haven't maxed out yet and still have 2-3x potential.

What's your thought?
I don't think so because BTC has been rolling in this zone ($18.5k - $19.5k) since a long time now and if it were to dump heavily then it would have already done so.
We saw a minor correction in bitcoin's price recently and may be that is why we are seeing a good support at $18.5k.
I am having high hopes that bitcoin will soon cross the ATH and most probably before the end of this year.
I won't say your strategy is wrong because it's good to have a backup plan. Besides that you are only liquidating partially so you should still be good with your portfolio.
4015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [POLL] How many of you have not "bought" bitcoin but still hold it on: December 05, 2020, 02:41:07 PM
I have seen many people here on this forum who have never actually bought bitcoin including myself.
We are the guys who love bitcoin deeply and have explored different ways to accumulate bitcoin.
I have tried to acquire as much bitcoin(Satoshis actually, never accumulated a whole bitcoin  Cry  ) as I can and then traded it to increase my portfolio.
The poll results won't matter much but it might motivate some people to find ways to accumulate bitcoin too.
Also, it would be fun to see how many people are there who belong to same category.
Most probably these would be the early users who would fall in this category (not necessary though)
4016  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need some help. 2FA security keys are not working on coinbase or other exchanges on: December 05, 2020, 02:32:49 PM
Alternatively you can also try the below option if it works.

From your new phone go to Google Authenticator and then click on "Transfer Accounts" this will export your 2FA accounts and show you a QR code.
Then use another authentication app like Authy and scan the QR code to import the 2FA accounts on that app.
Then try using the new codes to login to the particular platform.
I am not sure if it would work but you can give it a try.
4017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New troll narrative, "Running a full node will make you a criminal" on: December 05, 2020, 01:13:34 PM
The tweet says not to process a transaction which is illegal but the question is how will a validator determine if the transaction is illegal or not.
Unless the validator knows the source of the transaction it is quite difficult to determine it's legality.
Also, there's no such law that validating illegal transactions will make anyone liable of criminal charges.
It's clearly a FUD.

And who is this guy?

I feel sorry for his followers if he has any who follow him undoubtedly. He is sending the wrong message to them which is not good for them.

A simple troll, who will say anything to misinform, gaslight, and spread Fear Uncertainty Doubt. The same trolls many posters are scared of debating here in the forum.

4018  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chances of BTC surpassing the value of Fiat Money on: December 05, 2020, 12:59:12 PM
Sorry if the topic sounds logically flawed I didn't dig much deeper into the financial fantasies of such.

I'm wondering what if one day Bitcoin goes so high up in value that it causes somewhat a fiat crisis? I mean imagine, you've Bitcoins but there isn't much cash available in the market to buy your BTC, or simply put people can't afford it? Will bitcoin be of any value then?
Well in that case they can use other assets along with fiat for buying bitcoin.

Imagine paying few billion dollars along with a house (real estate property) for few bitcoins.
or
Imagine paying few billion dollars along with gold for few bitcoins

Not only assets but also things like cars, motorbikes, ships, planes etc...

That's the specialty of bitcoin  Grin Bitcoin can be bought with anything.  Grin
4019  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulation possible? Regulation Inevitable? on: December 04, 2020, 03:50:29 PM
In my perspective I think bitcoin will surely be regulated by governments when it becomes a mainstream cryptocurrency.
Masses will start adapting to the regulation and the financial system will have fiat as well as bitcoin as payment methods.
Also, I think governments will only benefit more by regulating bitcoin as they will be able to obtain more tax from their citizens.
4020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies/Jr members please don't beg for merits. on: December 03, 2020, 04:23:01 PM
I think much more than rank, their are a lot to gain from the more experienced members of the forum. I've been here for more than a year and I have no merit (which I have no plan to beg for). I know it's because I haven't probably merit it. But the point is newbies should focus on what is more important than the less important ones.  Their are lot of things to gain in the forum which is far more important than merit or rank... I'm always happy and full of joy whenever I see higher members responding to a topic because you see them making points from different perspectives and this way, the newbies acquire more knowledge which is more than  rank.
Meriting you because you being a newbie are selflessly talking about how to not beg for merits.
Newbies should keep this in mind that you will earn merit only when you develop yourself.
You will only be able to develop yourself when you learn what bitcoin and blockchain is about.
It's not about earning profits but about how the revolutionary technology has the potential to change the financial system.

@yemight600 One thing I would like to advise you is that I have noticed you keep joining bounties.
Although that's not wrong, you will be more benefited when you learn more about bitcoin and start contributing towards the forum.
Not only you but this is for every newbie and beginner to bitcoin. Start learning, Start contributing and you will never have to worry about merits.
