4024  Economy / Collectibles / [RAFFLE] 20 sets DIY Poker Chip Wallets - 16 slots on: November 05, 2021, 04:51:31 PM
Up for raffle is 20 sets of my MMLLC poker chip wallets - details can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5284106.0

They will each come in their own airtite capsule and then 20 of each denomination in an Airtite tube as well. Each wallet will have 2 serialized holograms (in case you mess one up).

Most here will agree, that if you dont hodl your keys, it isn't your BTC  - the best way to do so is to generate and control your own keys.

These also make for great gifts or can be used to introduce someone to BTC

So, there will be 16 slots, $50 per slot - no limit on how many slots you can get, and payable with pretty much any method you choose!
and no not VIA - so don't ask Tongue

Shipping is free within the US and for international, I will pass it on to minerjones for shipping.

Once all slots are sold and paid for, I will select a future block and the last character of that blocks hash will determine the winner.

4026  Economy / Collectibles / Re: To Escrow or Not to Escrow? on: November 05, 2021, 05:18:04 AM
I would note that in 2 cases I have seen so far, the parties that were "hacked" or "compromised" received DM's with a supposed link to a thread in the forums - when clicking it, they are prompted to log back into the forums however, the link is not to the forums but to another site which then captures their account info.

may need to make it aware to everyone - simply do not click links that are in dms - someone says they replied to your thread and gives a link - go to the thread the ol' fashioned way and dont use their link - or at least inspect the link to see where it really goes before blindly clicking it.

L3’s really going for that much? I would sell 3 of em for half that lol

So are you selling those for 750 each? I'll buy them.

lol if I was selling yes but as they made ROI long ago, I am not selling. Would be too expensive to replace them. But yea if I was selling, I would not argue with 750. Again that is because I only paid $50 for them - most people selling for 1500 prolly paid a lot more.

miners do jump all over though - I remember paying 2300 for S9's back in Q1 2018.

I sell it at this price because it is its value. Why is an S19 that makes $ 30 a day worth $ 11,000? Yet the s19s are thrown in, while the L3s are not easy to find

oh I know. ROI should still be around 7-9 months not any longer. when you say 11k it becomes 15k after tariff's and even if no tariff - 11k puts it at 12 months to roi - if diff and price hold. That is too long.

but for yours - the price is right when calculating in the merged mining.

I apologize for derailing your thread.

always escrow - if you trust the other person and have multiple deals with them, maybe you can skip it but even then, escrow to be safe. there are several of us here that do escrow and have done escrow many times so it is proven we are not going to scam/con anyone. The fee's are not that much when you consider peace of mind.

They have also released another multi-currency version - not really sure what the difference is other than the look and size (this one is more the shape of a typical credit card vs the shorter/longer version they typically release.

a friend of mine has been enough lucky to find a an Austrian CS 3.1 (CATS) *[yellow, 5 digits, only letters]  Undecided
how much it can be payed, likewise a decent offer for that piece ?!?
Did you know how many combination can be possible in that case*?

I have not seen a breakdown for the digits and numbers only the totals. I've also not seen any for sale yet so I'm not sure on that either.

Does anyone have such a thing like there was for CS 1.0?

Also was there ever one for CS 2s? 🤷

Thanks!

Also, you don't need to know German in that telegram, just ask for what you're looking for in English and someone will DM you. I found a golden Doge yesterday in about 5 minutes on there.

there was one for the cs2 - will look for it after this conference call I am on. or someone else might link it.

I often sell refurbished L3+ w/ brand new PSUs for around the 1500-1600 mark, shipped.

Market on  L3+ right now is floating around the 1200-1300 in decent condition.
Maybe 1100 if it was dropped down some stairs.
Even broken, fully nonfunctional units are 700+.

crazy I guess if profitability goes up no sense in anyone having a miner that roi's in less than 2 years.

an L3++ at current price/difficulty and with 5 cent per kw/h is only earning 1.40 per day give or take a few cents. so that is about 510 a year. at 1500 that is 3 years to ROI crazy how people buy miners with zero understanding that at those prices they will never break even unless the diff drops or the coin climbs exponentially - in which case they would fare better to just buy the coin and hodl.

Are you purposefully ignoring merged mining profits in your calculations?
Currently an L3++ is just over $9 a day in earnings, L3+ (not overclocked) is at ~$8 before electricity.

sorry not on purpose no.  I just didnt think about that. I was looking at the LTC only. but yes, it is higher with the merged mining. so at $8 per day and at 1500 its almost 200 days to ROI. a lot better. Guess I got lucky when buying mine for $50

I have 3 L3++'s, 3 BWL21's, and one Innosilicon A6 (got that one for a steal on ebay for $100) and a Futurebit Apollo mining scrypt atm.
