4021  Other / Meta / Re: Ranking System on: March 03, 2018, 02:18:33 PM

The best way is to take back this merit system and simply democratize the forum another way is to start a poll where members can vote in favor or against this system and the results should be implemented.

Are you joking? Maybe you're just one of the newbies that keeps on posting nonsense just to gain activities on the previous system that's why your proposing such shitness on this forum. Many of the people here are trying to do their best just to embrace and understand the new system, and now you want it to be gone?

Seriously, why would you propose such thing? Is it that you can't make a thread that has sense? You're just thinking of your own good mate, even if the others will try to agree with you, with that kind of perception you can't gather or earn anything.

This post is making my nerves completely insane!!! (I wish people like you would go back to kindergarten)

According to my Activity and posts my rank should be Full Member by now but it is still Member. I know that Merit system is also implemented now but it will make almost impossible for me and thousands like me to advance to next rank. I hope there will some options for me and many members like me.

The best way is to take back this merit system and simply democratize the forum another way is to start a poll where members can vote in favor or against this system and the results should be implemented.
We don't need to start a poll for the merit system, you know full well how it will go. Many will be against it because there are really a lot of shitposters in this forum that are having a hard time ranking

I totally agree with this... there are too many of them amd you can't beat them tru their type of personality together with their perceptions and mindsets.
4022  Other / Meta / Re: Merits all over the meta on: March 03, 2018, 06:21:58 AM
Why majority of the post here is about merits??  I know that this category discusses about the forum but ALMOST the topics posted is about merits. Is this now the merit discussion? Repeating topics should be deleted or merge

The only reason you are seeing this repeated posts is that the moderator of this section doesn't do much about deleting posts. And that's why they're abusing this section with their multiple repeated threads and replies. This kind of foolishness are not tolerable and as we can see the only thing that we can do is just report them again and again.

All of the replies above are appreciated. And especially also for those who shared their ideas regarding this thread. This thread will now be closed to avoid spam replies and the copy paste procedure of the others. Thanks for your efforts and also thanks for the moderators who allowed us to have a topic like this.
4024  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 02, 2018, 08:02:31 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

It depends on you mate. Whether your source of income comes from an online job like this then it would be best to invest it also there. But if you're having your income from a job that is in the real word then you should invest it on the real estates, or whatever business that will make your money grow. I can't suggest just saving money in the bank because it just means that you will be using it only without any return. The best way to improve and make a lot of money is to invest and thats a wise decision for a business minded person. And if you already have it a lot save your other money then invest the remaining again.
4025  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Other Ways To Get Merits (OUT OF THE TOPIC COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED) on: March 02, 2018, 01:05:19 AM
Di mo pwede naman mag hinge ng MERIT sa iba at saka sabihan ka "YOU MUST EARN YOUR MERIT NOT BEGGING".

Yes there is, if you will read the other posts regarding the merit system, the higher ups has the limit of 50 sMerits to give every month thats why they cant really give it to you even if you beg for it. And also after giving it to the other it wont come back to as it is, they will also earn it for them to give another sMerits. They're just doing their jobs pretty wisely.

If you're gonna ask for many sMerits or even want to become a Merit Source kindly read the post of theymos in the Meta Section. And yes, it will also possible just to give any possible number of Merits if it isnt just too few. I'm looking forward for your contribution sir thanks.

The only way to get merit is to contribute good quality post. No other way than that, unless you want to do illegal just to gain merit which will cause you having red mark if get caught by the mods. That's the only way I think we can gain merit, so we have to work hard for it and give our best.

Read before you reply. If there wasnt any this thread will be useless. What a shit post you have there.  Angry  Angry  Angry what a shame for being a full member mate. You should go back for being a newbie.
4026  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: It wasnt unfair at all in the first place... on: March 02, 2018, 12:50:14 AM
Or kahit man lang sana binigyan lahat ng current member that time when they implemented the rules kahit man lang sana 2-5 points para makabigay at makaipon tayo kaagad.

As far as i know, hindi po sya ganun matagal din po syang naging usapan bago ito ipinatupad. Since november or december naging usapan sya, na magkakaroon n ng merit. I can still remember it because that was the time my brother is still convincing me to join the bitcoin economy but i didnt listen. So here i am taking the challenge of the new rule. If only i did listen to him before full member n din sana ako Smiley
4027  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / It wasnt unfair at all in the first place... on: March 01, 2018, 05:49:17 PM
Many of us already knew about the Merit System, on how they really works, on how can we get them and also to send it back to the others.

But many of the new members see this as an unfair one, why? As the rule that has been implemented, if an individual that has the ability to organized and make his posts/threads with a standard quality that makes the audience satisfied then he is qualified to get atleast one (1) Merit point but instead of that, some of those threads are being ignored and can be just an ordinary topic to reply on.Some of those users whose having a lots of number of Merits are just keeping ahold of their sMerits for them to trade it or even sell it secretly. And the remaining, are the ones who are giving their time to review and give their shares.

Many of the threads here on bitcointalk forum are just a repeated posts and to think that it is one of the possible reasons why the higher ups arent now giving some time to read.

The new standard rule/system isnt at fault to be precise, it is the people who makes it unfair. The newbies who doesnt read and just post whatever they want and the certain number of higher ups who only care for themselves.

"Dont tell them what to do, just guide them"

My fellow buddies try to improve your understanding, whether we need them or not just trying our best will be enough and some day you'll get what you need. Dont rush on things that can also harm yourself.
...
I also added below a translation to my post for those who can't understand foreign language really well.
...

4028  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Other Ways To Get Merits (OUT OF THE TOPIC COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED) on: March 01, 2018, 06:01:33 AM
Another way that you can earn merits is yung paghuli ng mga nagbebenta ng merits, suspicious merit giving activity - mga nagbibigay ng merits na considered as "shitty" posts.

This means that binibigyan ng high ranker account ng merits yung lowbie accounts nila to level up easily. Since there are possiblities na yung mga alt accounts na yan ay galing na sa mga matatagal ng member ng forum. Either to sell the accounts or use it for money farming.

Here's the thread where you can post and see yung mga offenders.

USERS THAT ARE ABUSING MERIT SYSTEM LIST

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2823221.0

It's not that much but they give merits there sa mga nahuhuli nila.

I really can't suggest it, why? But still your link is appreciated because this thread is for gaining in some other ways.

You have a nice idea there mate.
4029  Other / Meta / Re: SPREAD THE WORD! (OFF TOPICS WILL BE DELETED!) on: February 27, 2018, 05:13:35 AM
Not that i'm shutting you off but:
1. The subject was very misleading. I thought the section off-topic would be deleted and the link was a notice that i did not see, which have theymos stating such things.
2. Although the post was in english, linking post to a local thread which majority of the readers in meta would not understand is kind of a disappointment(idk the right word for it).

Good Day Everyone!

I'm one those newbies whose having a lot of trouble gaining some Merits that's why I made a thread that was giving ways to my fellow newbies to gain their Merits.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3021637.0

And for those who have their ranks higher than a Member, I'm looking forward for your contribution for the sake of the new ones. You can give Merits for some reviews on the threads that are given on the replies or just a Reliable source ( which is a lot of help)

OFF TOPICS WILL BE DELETED IN THIS THREAD EVEN IF YOU'RE A HIGH RANKING MEMBER.

Credits to the Moderators of this section.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! Smiley

IMO (In my opinion), its better to enumerate merit sources for newbies/jr members to help rather than linking your own post from local thread.

Your replies are appreciated and already edited my post I hope there wont be any problems. Or if I still missed out some things feel free to correct me thanks!
4030  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / New Issue for Ranking and Merit System. on: February 27, 2018, 04:55:18 AM
A proposal which will claim even a bigger problem for those newbies who can't make such quality post.

A post from Mind Control regarding those on the high rank that uses alt accounta just to farm some merits.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3027369.msg31145236#msg31145236

If they can't find all the users who abuse the system then the possibility of theymos to raise it will be on the edge. Therefore a lot of them wont be able too last with their alt accounts and this will also guarantee that the newbies will make alot of effort to grow and improve their quality of writing.

Watch out for Lutpin and Blockeyes Campaigns!

I created this thread for those on the High Ranks willing to give their sMerits to the newbies who really deserves it.

As of now my thread "OTHER WAYS TO GET MERITS"
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3021637.0
was on its way helping those other newbies to rank up. But still even though I spent my time searching for others whose willing to help I cant find a lot more.

I hope some of you will also make a certain activity for those newbies or even make a review on their previous posts and reward them your sMerits as they truly deserve it.

4033  Other / Meta / Re: My life as a merit source on: February 26, 2018, 11:39:54 PM
Thank you for helping to recover this forum, and bring it back to the great resource it was a few years ago.

I can understand your problems, and your difficulty in finding reasonable posts to reward. I received some sMerit to give away, and I have had a real struggle to find posts that I felt were deserving of merit. As I only had a few sMerits ( around 80 ), I decided that I would not be able to award them to "average" posts. It takes a lot of time wading through all the threads, and semi-literate replies, and stupid great infographics that get quoted several times make things even harder. I've found that it is much easier if I put bad posters ( by my standards ) on ignore. This had made things a lot more manageable, and I have found some interesting threads and posts whilst I am looking through the boards.

I would like to make a plea to posters. Please think of the readers who scan threads quickly, and who don't have the time to wade through great strings of repeated text. There is no need to quote a 5,000 word post, just copy a relevant line and snip the rest. Please don't quote large images, readers are likely to quit the thread rather than scroll through a load of repeated content. Don't post in capitals - it slows down reading quite a lot, and may result in you being put on ignore. Formatting with massive headings and a couple of screens worth of indifferent text is also likely to get you ignored.

Just remember, the guys who are speed reading are likely to be your best customers. Smiley

Your post is very much appreciated but how to join on your list? Im a newbie here

Maybe this will help you guys if you're having trouble finding threads that newbies are participating. And give them some of your sMerits Thanks!

4037  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirement for Member Proposal on: February 26, 2018, 10:36:00 PM
I see many Jr. Members easily rank up to Member because the required Merits is only 10. And I can see many merit farming (an example:
see here). We are aware that this is done by some/many bounty hunters out there. This is an obvious abuse and would like to propose some minor changes in the required merit requirement for Members.

Instead of 10 Merits for Members, why don't we increase it to 25 Merits? This way, Jr. Members will have to strive harder in order to rank up to Member. Merit farming will be difficult because their sMerits will diminish fast.

Insights are welcome.

I guess you are right increasing the number of Merits to rank up isnt so bad. But still many out there are just newbies that doesnt go well with the Merit System, if you'll gonna take a peek on some local threads many of them are already having a problem with just the 10 Merits requirements and as of that they're just begging for those with the higher rank just to give them that while knowing that is really impossible. I find the increasing the number of Merit requirements more helpful for them because with that they wont have a choice but to raise their capability of posting some threads with such a quality.

25 Merits is just fine, even though im still on my way ranking up, I approve this kind of proposal for us in the future wont be having a problem with those who're cheating just to rank up. It's unfair for is who really strive and trying the best of what we can do.

By the way, may I ask for your contributions to help here if you know some other ways to help the newbies THANKS IN ADVANCE! ( not asking to give Merits but a reliable sources will be enough for us.)

Thanks for the link mate. I hope the others will also contribute here for the sake of the newbies that kills their time on posting such a waste threads. We really appreciated it.

To the newbies who are reading this thread may reply here but be sure to contribute some helpful facts and ways for the others. Be careful of what you'll gonna post because if its just some shits it will be reported as spam to the moderator. And for all people with the higher ranks THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for helping and making an easier way for us newbies to rank up. (Last comment for this thread - but still im gonna watch it for those who'll try to reply some out of the topic comments)

Sad life lang talaga sa mga late register member of this forum like me. Cry

Not all of them can focus to us newbies, why? Because they also have to earn BTC for themselves that's why they are too busy making their ways to earn. That's what we have to do instead of making them responsible for us not giving their sMerits to us. We should just be thankful that there are still people making some time for us newbies to be able to rank up even though it such a bothersome to do to check all the posts of us newbies. Dont just focus on gaining some Merits my fellow mates,  gaining knowledge about the forum, trades, and how Coins really works is the real thing here. A lot more of understanding will give us ways to gain those Merits.

We do not hate Newbies, for me they are the ones that needs to be guided and be offered help.

That is the point. Being a newbie doesn't mean you must post hastily. Being a newbie focuses more on reading than posting since they do not have anything to post since they do not have a knowledge to post or to share some thoughts to others unless you already have the knowledge before joining this forum. There is a lot of pinned posts here in the local board and I think if you are really wanting to post here to gain knowledge, you can read that beforehand since most of the people I knew read that pinned posts and more pinned posts outside this local thread.

I know that is bad in the side of the high ranks but there is a lot of newbies out here that are only wanting to have their way unto high ranks the reason there are a lot of members of these forum in these board that hates that kind of posts. You must also know the side of us high ranks and not only the side of the low ranks.

I am not judging you or anything with this post but I only just want to say this as a member. My posts are also being deleted a lot of times now so you can't say that you are the only ones experiencing that.

I gained my merits because I know something that I can share to the members of this forum and I spend my time making those posts. I don't gain that because of having a lot of accounts but because I am exerting effort to my posts since then.

Read this thread for Newbies. This might answer some of your complains and some of the things you still do not know.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2412546.0

This conversation is out of this thread... But I can say that, we newbies have to be more patient on reading search for a thread so you wont be doing some shits. At first, for me, reading is such a boring and a hassle one to do but after I give some time on it, as time goes by, my pin of interest here came out of nowhere.

I made a thread regarding the spreading of Merits here.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2910923.40

I want to share my smerits to people or members of these forum that deserves them. But there are a few people whose interested in that thread and they are just giving their point of view in these situation not putting links in that thread to be merited by me. So in order for me to spread my merit, I just look up some of good posts in the Services posted in the Smerit Reviews by Bill Gator and there I merit some of the good posts I can read.

If you have some good posts you know that is qualified to be merited, post it here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2819141.0. If you deserve the merit, he will be giving you some depending on the quality of the post and other people that will read that post.

I already given a peek on your thread and its already closed and its a nice thing that you're giving some help here. Thanks for the info.

Bitcoin price tapos ang irereply I think I think

The problem here is they dont seem to understand it just as the subject ... I write it as "OTHER WAYS  TO GET MERITS" therefore 'posting with such a high quality' has been excluded from the topic... NO NEED TO REPEAT SUCH THING IN THIS THREAD BECAUSE MANY OF US ALREADY KNEW THAT.

DONT REPLY IF YOU CANT HELP ANYBODY... LIKE WHAT I HAVE WROTE ABOVE I ALSO INCLUDED A LINK WHERE THEY CAN GET SOME MERIT. IF YOU SEE A REPEATING THREAD AND COMMENTS JUST REPORT IT TO THE MODERATOR.
