Is your miner hashing?

no, still not hashihg at all

you said change your IPv4 settings back to obtain an IP automatically after you set up your Ant?

Where can i change it?

OK, wait, I am a bit confused.

Did you manage to set your Ants settings to start mining?
Does it have access to the internet?
Can you ping google.com? to make sure your Ant has internet access

4026  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: February 25, 2014, 11:36:35 AM

Hi, i have a problem with my antminer. Can anyone help me please?

When i switch on the power to the antminer, my web browser automatically shows unable to connect to the network. However when i switch it off it automatically connected back and i am able to surf the net. I am able to log into the antminer log in page and change configuration but not surfing the net.

I am also having problems in connecting my antminer to the internet. My laptop is able to pick up strong signal from my home wifi router but the antminer seems to not pick up the signal. Sometimes when it picks up, it only hashes like about a few seconds and it get disconnected again.

I tried bridging my antminer and my laptop using the ethernet cable. But still got the same results ( unable to connect to the internet) . How can i make it work? Any help or guidance is vert much appreciated. Please bear with me as i am not technically good in electrical application.

Hi.

My name is Tom. AMTminers Order #1183 And I want to say that I was recently approached by few companies/distributors which reached out to me last week offering me 15 bitcoins a week to say negative things about AMTminer/Bitmine. I am a client of AMT and a Chinese American national as well. They saw that I was on the forum in the Chinese section (different username to protect my identity and other business) and they sent me the messaged the following:

It basically says that have stolen a small quantity of chips from the bitmine factory in china. They plan to make 47 miners and want to mine with them first and sell them and deliver them late. They say they are creating fake companies here in this forum to try and pre-sell them. The go on to mention they need time and money to try and make the miners work. They want to stop AMT and Bitmine from selling and they claim to be paying 15 bitcoins a week to write bad things about these two companies.  They go on to try and coax me into working with them because they I am Chinese and its my duty.

-

I have been working with Chinese for years because of my main business and the fact that I'm a Chinese American. I have seen things like this before and know it is very possible for a Chinese supplier to pay for black PR or negative/bad press/reviews of a competing company, especially if the other company is not Chinese.

The truth is, I'm more American than Chinese, and I'll never go back to china again unless its for the cheap production. I've talked with Jim from AMTminers, I've built a personal relationship with him and I'm a client of AMTminers. I like their brute approach to this industry. Because of the relationship I've developed with Jim over the phone, I feel like it's my job to show what is happening. How a normal US based company can get trashed on these forums from Chinese liars and scam artists.

But If I didn't have the 6 figure income that I currently do, I might take these guys up on their offer, even though they would probably not pay in the end either.

I felt it was important to show the community what is happening on the Chinese side of things.

Just wanted to point out. That Chinese article up there is totally FUD.  I don't know what your intention is but please don't post fake stuff.

I just want to to point out that your account was registered on April 12, 2013 and you had 0 activity up until now.

Why is that?

Yep. they catch on pretty quick, don't they...have 3 S1's and luckily, I received them without the customs hassles...ROI?  forget it...looks like a break even game to me....

Are you even listening to your self?

ROI, no?
Break even yes?

4030  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: February 24, 2014, 11:11:20 AM
Hi,

I am new to the website and have a question. I am planing t order couple of the miner, How can I make a rack for the miners? Can I have a shared PSU for all of them or it's better to have one per each? Can you give me some recommendation/suggestion on this? For a rack of 10 miners.

Thanks,

Personally I prefer to have one PSU for each ANt.
I have seen members that have up to 3 Ants on a PSU.
Whatever you choose make sure that you get a good quality PSU, preferably a GOLD one and make sure it has way more wattage than you Ant needs (360w-430w).

As for racks, have a look at this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7216.msg5220649#msg5220649

...
I configured both of my Antminer S1's from factory via wifi on my laptop (dell mini 9 netbook).  I've never directly connected to either of my Antminer to a laptop/computer.

Good luck.

Could anyone/two of you do me a favor? Take screen shot of your ipconfig output.
mine have both 192.168.2.xx by cable and 192.168.1.xx by wireless, but still can't access Miner.
The network cable head green light is not even on for Miner, the rest of PC/Laptop are all on.

I probably need to ask seller for a replacement network/control card.

I'm not running Windows.  I run Arch Linux and Linux Mint on my laptops.  And all devices on my network are  192.168.55.x  subnet now.  That includes the miners, 3 laptops, cell phones, tablets, chromecast.

At any rate, that's a problem if there's no link light on the Antminer S1.  First thing's first, you need physical connectivity before you can access the miner.

Did you connect the Antminer to your router and you're not getting a link light on the Antminer? and you're sure the cable is good?

I had a similar experience and had a moment of WTF. I just kept trying different cables until I found one that worked. It seems the female ethernet connector on the ant's do not mate up well with some connector/shield combinations on some cables.

Hi, changed 4 cables and still no light on both end of network socket.
I'm sure I need to ask Seller for replacement network/card.
Maybe the shipping without static protection caused it to short-circuit.

Have you tried connecting to your Ant through WiFi?
It should be the same as LAN.
Just modify your wifi adapter ipv4 settings. The Ant is already set up by factory (normally).

Also, I will ask you once again...
Have you tried connecting to your Ant with a different computer?

EDIT: I have no physical connection to my Ant.
The Ant is connected on the router.
I use WiFi to connect to my router and access the Ant.

They said they would start shipping on 28th, but they are pre-shipping Wink

Hello Antminer users Smiley

Im using Internet from a USB modem, which does not require ethernet cable.
So is there a way to connect to my Antminer(S1) to the internet using USB modem?

Please help me on this.

Thanks.

What kind of modem?
Does it have WiFi?

If yes, then yes you can connect your antminer to it.

You can wait all you want.

The question is, is there anything better available?

It is better to have $5 at hand now than wait to get $10 (it's a Greek saying).

We have this saying in the UK...

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

An ASIC in hand is worth two on pre-order.

Cheesy

Well said!

Now I know the English version of it so I can use that as well Wink

I , last sunday was the first payout.
Untill now it seems to me that this not a scam, but I can only say this for sure when I made a return on my investmen.

That is where the Ponzi scheme comes in. He made big bucks with the funding people gave him. So now he dishes out some out to people, to attract more clients, gets more money (repeat x10). And then he disappears with huge sum of bitcoins.

Game over for all.

That is why he hasn't posted any pics/videos, because there is nothing. He is giving away some funding money to get more people...

And since he is Italian I believe the name Ponzarelli is very suitable for him Wink

And why are you selling these miners???

OH, you are "testing" them and when all "testing" is done then they are good to go right?

This is a very good question and could take a long time to answer since there is a very very interesting story behind this. Unfortunately, I could not share the story with you. The testing should be considered closed since the 60T miners are very stable now and we are in mass production for the first 1200T order. The official website will be launched in a few days. Then you could make your order for this super powerful miner if you want.

Why can't you share the story with us all???
We are all very interested!

It seems that your hash power provides you with good income.
So when are you going to sell them?
When they are not profitable no more?

Do you even have these miners?

If yes I would love to test one.

Send me a sample of these units and if indeed it is what you say it is then I will gladly pay you the BTC for it.

So Funny. Thanks for that CroverNo01

+1

I get shipments from China almost every week and I agree: DHL is faster and a helluva lot easier to work with... every time!

Maybe from overseas they're faster, but when I order from Newegg, here in the US & they give DHL shipping,it goes thru our USPS & takes forever  Cry  7-10 business days............

I make damn sure my shipping is UPS or FedEx now,2-3 day everytime  Grin

I agree at least from Bitmain to USA UPS is faster tested hundreds of times

DHL = never ever again. They had the gall to deliver pallets in a non loading dock capable vehicle (enterprise rent a car!) and we had to unload the one by one.

DHL doesn't do home delivery where I live. All the rest of them do.
