First one is for @NeuroticFish who was having 4050 merits on his profile few days back :
Thank you ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I tried to capture 4000 or at least 4096, but both values were skipped. I didn't find 4050 that nice. But now, looking back, it's better that having none at all. So, again, thank you.

Some sort of wild guess - I don't know how helpful, but still: was it indeed Electrum for Bitcoin? Maybe there was an Electrum - based wallet for some altcoins, like Electron Cash?

I am experimenting sending bitcoin between my own wallets. I sent a 100,000 satoshis from my original wallet (A) to my other wallet (B). Then I looked on the wallet and my B wallet only got a small portion lets say 50,000 satoshi only. When I check this on block explorer, the rest of the amount of sent to a random new address (X). How is this possible? Will I ever get the remaining satoshis in my wallet B? If not how to access the wallet X? Why all this trouble in bitcoin core?
Sorry for so many panic questions but such is my situations. Any quick suggestion would help me calm down. Thanks.
It's like when you spend from a 100$ bill: You give the whole 100$. Some of the money you spend; Some of the money returns to you. The thing is that by default, the money returning to you will return to another address in your wallet. So you have to check if the change did return to initial wallet. If it's so, you're good. Also keep in mind that you've also paid the transaction fee, so the sum of all the money will probably be less than what you initially had in wallet A. However, if you still in doubt, maybe you can share the transaction link on a blockchain explorer so we can explain better (just of course, this involves that the world will know that those addresses are yours) I also suggest this kind of learning tests to be done on testnet; this way, even if mistakes are made, it's not a problem. And you can master all the use cases you can think of without paying a dime.

In case it helps anybody, an idea of mine implemented in 15 minutes in Photoshop (sorry, LoyceV, I'm not so good in MSPaint) Maybe it gives an idea to actual artists: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ftalkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2023%2F05%2F14%2Fblob4223436a9720c5ea.png&t=664&c=UdfVb883HzF3zw) However, all done in MSPaint is also a valid idea.

I am surprised to see that DiamondCardz has opposed the flag who is in default trusted list. It may happen by mistake, have you contacted with DiamondCardz about this fact. I have not found any reason behind opposition of the flag.
1. DiamondCardz is inactive for almost a year. 2. From what I see, he's trusted by 3 active accounts and 21 inactives. Maybe, just maybe (food for thought), inactives' vote should not matter in DT elections.

Bitcoin Every 4 Year
2010: $1 2014: $400 2018: $6,000 2022: $50,000 2026: $300,000?
400k->6000 = > 15 6k ->50k = > 8.333 If the ratio will fall again 1.8x then 8.333 / 1.8 = 4.629 So 50k * 4.29 = 214k, not 300k. However, literally nothing proves that these numbers are correct and this is gonna happen. So it's a speculation, as worthless as any.

Do dgecoin?! Insulta! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I can understand why you think it's overkill for personal usage. But i'm not fan of lighter alternative Electrum Personal Server[1] since you need to enter each master public key (xpub, ypub or zpub) or address manually. electrs[2] might be best option for personal usage, but i never tried it.
I've used EPS for... one day or so. It convinced me fast to look for something else. So yes, we're basically on the same page with which server is for what. If you plan to try Docker, AFAIK you could just install Docker for Windows so you don't need to setup WSL.
Docker may interfere badly with VirtualBox, so, even if I no longer use VirtualBox as much as in the past, I still try to avoid (Docker) for as long as I can.

But currently ElectrumX is most popular version.
Imho ElectrumX is the most popular for "public" use. For local use it may be a bit of overkill. But actually that's only a feeling, I don't know that for sure. I may also give it a go under WSL when I get a bit more free time. Not necessarily because my current setup would be bad, it's just that I like a bit more the interface of mempool.space than of the block explorer I use now. So I'll bookmark myself these links ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

for what I would use it?
Well, that's one of the reasons I declined OP's offer: the vast majority of things I pay for online I need delivered home or they're bills for things related to my home, meaning they'll know my identity anyway. And for the rest, fear I won't use the card for enough transactions to offer a really fair feedback in a fair amount of time. But I'm sure that there are many that purchase a lot of digital goods, and may even get more of them these days, as Easter presents. Those could be suitable for providing a review.

I have been able to install the Bitcoin Core node (version 22.0) on my own server. But now I want to continue with installing an Electrum server that connects to my node.
Good. Keep in mind that Bitcoin Core needs to download the whole blockchain (425+GB) and you'll probably also store it, so make sure you have Bitcoin Core set correctly, you have disk space and patience to have it synchronized. What is the difference between Electrum and ElectrumX?
Electrum is the client software. ElectrumX is one of the popular servers for Electrum. An Electrum Server (ElectrumX, Electrs, EPS and so on) works with a Bitcoin node (Bitcoin Core). Electrum (i.e the client) connects to an Electrum server in order to work. If you want it to connect to your own server, you have to specify that as command line parameter for Electrum. Where do I download the "best" version from?
For Electrum server it's debatable what's a "best version". Imho any version that works for you it's just fine. For Electrum itself (Electrum client) you download the last version from electrum.org and verify it. How do I do that? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Any good tutorial that I can read? If you are under Windows, I've made this tutorial. Since then the versions evolved a little, but it should be pretty much still good. It installs Electrs and not ElectrumX simply because that one I could make it work. If you want only Electrum server and no block explorer, just skip the block explorer part.

Is it true that its wrong to hold coins for many years and never look back? Someone said coins can die in just two years, they can also lose demand and hype under a year, so how do one hold with zero worries?.
The short history of crypto coins has shown that: * many altcoins lost most of value or disappeared within 2-4 years * Bitcoin investments use to need at least 3 years of holding to make sure you're on actual profit. So, if you ask about apples and oranges without specifying more, you may get a salad, but no proper answers. And strongly consider the checklist from the previous post if you start investing.

Executive Order 6102 is an executive order signed on April 5, 1933, by US President Franklin D. Roosevelt "forbidding the hoarding of gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates within the continental United States."
Exactly. Like his name, the birth date and year are most probably not the real ones. And it's not OK to celebrate the biggest theft in history. So I've seen this on Twitter already on the 5th of April, but I didn't propagate the "celebration".

Please, please note we are not Russian or Chinees (We all are Europeans) So to be clear, we operate from the U.A.E, and we are a licensed company in the U.A.E. and Europe. The thing is most people think what we do is on the edge of the law. But not a lot of people do the research in what you actually can do and the law. All big companies started this way look @ wirex, binance they knew the loopholes in the law and used it for years. And to be honest we can guarantee we can offer this service up to 1-2 years, after that we will probably build a bigger crypto platform and start all the compliance bullshit.
See? This kind of information is useful, because else people can imagine basically anything they want. And your strict not disclosure policy encourage that. This kind of information should, imho, not be buried in a post nobody will read it after a week. I think that I've said it: we don't want to steal or compete your business, we want customers be on the safe side. So you disclosing the tiny bits that give people peace of mind without affecting your business does help. Thanks for the info. We indeed provide card with no fees to trusted members to test out. Hit us up if anyone is interested.
This, again, should not be buried. If you announce that in a specific thread, let people tell they're interested and you "hand pick" the few accounts that you think they'll do best and provide them the service, it should serve the purpose. Just look as an example to this topic; the activity is different, the review is different, but you can still get an idea. Or you can consider at least @Rikafip. I know that he was criticizing you, but at least he seems interested in testing your card.

If you want to get some traction here, (so far not a single comment from forum users about using your card) you should consider giving certain amount of cards for free so users (preferably those with some reputation here) can test it and give their honest opinion. Iirc, what you offered to one of the users wasn't the free card, but moneyback guarantee or something along those lines.
Beware, OP may conclude (again?) that all the noise you've made ( in the other, messier topic) was because you'd want a bribe/free ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) And by extrapolation he may conclude that we all wanted a bribe and that the criticism (constructive or not) and drama was because of this. And at least my posts were driven by an attempt to help the business - if it's legit - and the possible customers too. And for an overall best short description, LoyceV has nailed it: I see potential, but I also see several red flags.
My advise to OP was to hire, at least for short term, somebody good at PR (and to be clear: no, I don't want that job). The PR people would know how to handle this; maybe they would have given out a few free cards, maybe they would have started other types of campaigns, I don't know. On the other hand, slow and steady start (if what OP tells is real) is also an option and, sooner or later, bitcointalk users will also get to give feedback.
And one thing I'm curious about, maybe OP (CriptoDebit.com) can help, if it's not so big secret: in what country is the card issuer registered? Or, if that's such a big a secret, can you tell whether it Russia/China or not?

I only know about the non custodial coinbase wallet? Are you referring to their web wallet https://www.coinbase.com/ to be the custodial wallet ? I've posted link to the other topic for a good reason: I cannot really tell anything new from what was already said there. For your specific question, I'll quote from there, since it has the links:

I logged into my brd wallet on my android phone and it says that BRD wallet has been migrated to coinbase wallet. I cant see my funds in the BRD wallet and the only option i have is to migrate to coin base wallet. Also i search the internet and found about this Coinbase Wallet Migration. I want to know if the Bread Wallet have closed and is this coinbase wallet non-custodial and safe to use I have no option but to migrate to coinbase wallet but i want to transfer my funds to more secure desktop wallet. Somebody already had this issue and was discussed widely in this topic. Shortly: 1. BRD being non-custodial wallet, you should have access to your keys to import them somewhere else (Electrum?); and of course, from there sending the funds to a completely new wallet is even better. 2. I'm not sure to which Coinbase wallet you're directed to, they may have one custodial and one non custodial. Coinbase is basically reputable, still, I would not touch their custodial wallet (actually I'd avoid both)

I plan to keep my recovery keys in four separate locations, a brand new flash memory from Huawei, a brand new WD External hard drive, my book with a strong cover and my wardrobe
As already said, flash drive and HDD are not advised, they can break too easy, so I won't count that much on them. A piece of laminated paper is already better. Steel would be even better. But from what you wrote here I have the feeling that all "four separate locations" are in the same house. Maybe I'm wrong, still, I would like to emphasize that for life changing funds you should use geographically different locations. I mean that if your house/area/city is ever devastated by fire, or hurricane, or whatever, you may need a proper backup somewhere else.
