4021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a Responsible Gambler on: April 24, 2021, 11:45:31 PM
Borrowing to gamble! What a way to go.
You know personally,  there is nothing to be responsible about when it comes to gambling. I say this because, I don't think there are those that are proud gamblers or take gambling as an occupation. Really,

Are they? Or is it?

Its very wrong, so wrong to borrow with the hope of multiplying through gambling. Its possible but too risky and even the more risky to hope on doing this with someone else's money for which, you've got to pay back. Its never a promising investment and you've got almost zero assurance on what the next outcome would be so, why take so much risk.

So, its best you play only with your spare cash and ensure its what you can afford to loose as relates with investments.
4022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 24, 2021, 11:37:32 PM
Real Betis has never been an easy team to play in the Laliga, they don't play like any other mid tier team and today, they proved themselves once more to Real Madrid. Even getting to come to the great white sharks home and share points with them, not so many teams can do that. Especially with this stage where the great whites sees an opportunity of becoming kings of the Laliga and just like that, they are out of favour or might be. With FC Barcelona having a game to play which might equate them in points and the goal difference puts them on top of Real . Thats in the case of them winning though otherwise, we might still be watching Atletico Madrid getting to keep the league. They've made far too many errors to be any way relaxed at this point and here is a chance for them to push off in points and I think they might just take it.
4023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 24, 2021, 11:30:23 PM
Liverpool's next match, which is against Manchester United will be difficult for them to win. And If they lose, they risk their chance of getting qualify for UCL next season.
They could have taken the 5th place now if they were able to defeat Newcastle in this game. The time is running up and the weeks are passing by quickly. Playing against Manchester Utd away could be like hell for them in this condition of theirs.  Grin
Liverpool has not been a very serious team this season. It would be no surprise should they not qualify for the UCL next season. There game plan has been very disappointing.  Now that they've got every time to focus in the EPL, they are still struggling for a draw with Newcastle at this point in the season when its just few matches to go. Its a shame.

Arsenal on the other hand to have lost to Everton wasn't a very surprising one though, it wasn't expected to me. Them playing from a home side had put them in a lot of advantage and they were the better side to this game but, it was by an own goal that they lost so, its fine. Chelsea is the team that managed to put a smile on my face today. They won there game squarely and have been great with Tuchel to mange the team.
4024  Other / Politics & Society / Re: RELIGION IT'S POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE IMPACT ON SOCIETY on: April 22, 2021, 09:37:31 PM
Religion has brought more controversies and division than we could see it today. Yeah it helps in making some people feel righteous just because, they behave in a certain way and build a good relationship with their religious figure hard but, what about the people around them. Everyone outside their religious circle becomes a case of sin or an infidel to them. This is really bad! It surprises me how they claim to worship one supreme being and yet, the doctrimes vary so much and I begin to wonder how come about all these doctrims?
Religion is suppose to be the thing that bonds our world but what we have today is far from what we expect it to be, its more of a divisor than a uniting factor of our society.
4025  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Courtroom Judges Lie on: April 22, 2021, 02:02:02 PM
First of all, we must recognise that these judges are humans and in most cases they are not witnesses to whatever is being tried to point or spot out a crime being committed in the courtroom. Its an attempt and it would not always be right at times. Sometimes being humans, our emotions come in to complicate things and interfere with the way judgements are being delivered. Surely they are trained and experience have thought them how to manage this but, we can't deny the fact that it does exists and there are chances of a judge giving in. This is  why the rulings can vary from judges to judges in cases of an appeal.

Where it becomes so evident of a  lie are in cases where there is a bribe involved and its most difficult to establish the situation of a bribe.
So, the judges can only do as much as they could and sometimes, out of the most honest attempt of the process comes a hard mistake. I bet you, there are those that are always going to be in favour or against any ruling on a case either,  it was just or unjust. Where you stand makes the difference. It doesn't make you a just man either, neither do I object to the fact that, judges can deliberately lie in court triers.
4026  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Virginia Police Officer Fired After Making A Donation on: April 22, 2021, 01:46:55 PM
Cases that has to do with taking lifes are really difficult to fully justify, as life once lost can't be restored but then, striving to provide funds to an acised to ensure a fair trier doesn't seem like a bad idea to me. I get the point of the fact that, the individual in question is a cop, an officer who is looked up to in protecting the rights of community members as well as maintaining the law and other within the community but that individual is also a part of that community and as such, has some degree of responsibility to that community amidst the once owed to his job. He picking a side shouldn't be no difference from those of the community. It feels said that, his job is to restrict his freewill and good gesture towards helping in funding a legal truer this way. Left for me, not mind g the crime being committed, I see nothing wrong in helping to create a platform for a fair trier. Let the law always triumph.
4027  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: African Proverbs in Pidgin on: April 22, 2021, 11:49:42 AM
E get some Nigerian wise quote way I hear from people fir my area lately. I feel say make I drop am here kwa as na watin here be and na to keep here updated and busy join. Make una hear am as them take talk am.

Proverbs
In Pigin: Them say, you no go fit carry your beads go sell for India
In English: Its said that, you can't export your local beads for sales in India
Meaning: You can't hope to sell a thing back to the originators or producers

In Pigin: The monkey way dey lead for group of monkey them no dey always be the biggest
In English: The monkey that leads in a park of monkeys isn't often the big once.
Meaning: The measure of a person's worth and capacity isn't by its size, its a matter of your content.

Na so I take hear am and na so i dan drop am. Make our wise quote make us grow wise.
4028  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin a medium scammers use on: April 22, 2021, 09:23:11 AM
How about this, fiat a medium scammers use?
Thank you, you got that out right. Its a jet or digital age and we've seen scams assume several forms over the years, the once that suits more appropriately to there purpose while rendering concern to a potential victims ignorance. I bet you you, there are more people that uses bitcoin or transacts in bitcoin legit than the few fraudulent onces. Scams assumed more traditional forms and still do. Every available medium of payment is exploited in this regard. Its only left for individuals to be more conversant on a medium of payment in use and have a high level of trust in the platform or individual being transacted with and thats where the issue always comes. Scammers play around with your trust very much.

Local banks or transacting in fiat might seem a lot safer because, a wrong transaction can be reversed when appropriate but, thats only when there is an embargo on the account from appropriate authority and with the account holders consent and an agreement is met.
This isn't the case of bitcoin, an address might be known, the block for which the transaction belongs, all that are traceable but then, the individual holder of such address is most likely not to be known except in a case where a non custodial wallet address is in use. In the case of non custodial wallet, the company might just have a data base that traces back to the user. Especially if the company conducts kyc. Sadly, its outrightly against company policing most cases to compromise someone's identity. Crypto operates on an anonymous field and as such, being smart and knowledgeable is very much required and an added advantage

4031  Economy / Economics / Re: DOES BITCOIN CAN FUND THE REAL SECTOR BUSINESS DIRECTLY on: April 21, 2021, 09:06:21 PM
A lot of bitcoin investors today still uses bitcoin and I say this out of personal experience especially living in a third world country where a lot of persons are still not fully aware or lacking a lot of details on what bitcoin is. As such, all who invests in bitcoin are still strongly involved in the use of local currency which is the fiat. Bitcoin hasn't gotten a universal acceptance and as such, there are several roles for which the fiat currency plays in the society of which bitcoin is not very suitable. At the moment,  most merchants arent accepting it as a means of payment which means, you might as well withdraw from your bitcoin investment and transact in fiat and in that instance, the economy is favoured. It doesn't matter much where you invest.
4032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: April 21, 2021, 08:04:52 PM
Tottenham finally finds its courage towards winning games and now won Southampton by 2 goals to 1. It was commendable though but this one win won't make any difference. Most of the teams ahead are either a match or 2 matches down and it would go a long way in boosting them further up. All Tottenham could do now is either hope and them not to loose themselves.

Aston villa has been playing a really safe game so far, holding Manchester City to a 1-1 in the early munster of the first half and just now, Manchester City has chosen to set things straight Rodri heads a through ball from Silva into the goal post to give City the upper hand and its Aston Villa 1-2 Manchester City, first half.
4033  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who’s more powerful? The players, Fans or Clubs on: April 21, 2021, 07:06:21 PM
I'm still of the opinion that fans are the most important of them all. Cutting the clubs off, I can tell you there is still another alternative which is the street football. You don't need clubs for that, just a bunch of street footballers pick themselves as they please each time they meet on a pitch and train together. Meanwhile, there are still those that make some income of it as in, illegal gambling, staking on which side you consider as the better side and the game goes on. It happens and I've watched it a lot in my locality. In this instance, the clubs doesn't matter, even at that, competitions could be organised and the players on the pitch make money out of it and they are still not a club or a team except that, they are the team of the moment.

So, the fans are the bases of everything about most sports. They are the 9nce providing the funds through participation in various activities the sporting life offers and they are the once being entertained. I won't totally ignore the other part of the relationship but then, the fans is the most vital. Being at the beginning and the end.

4037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is falling down. Is it the end for it? on: April 20, 2021, 11:45:27 PM
Every rise and fall sudden predicts an end for cryptos.  Why is that? Why do this phobia gets instilled in the minds of those that aren't really sure. Not like any of us really are, we are going to get out at some point and beside bitcoin, we've got other careers of our own at least most of us but then, the rise and fall is much needed for a healthy market. It can't be one direction all the time. If it continues to go up and doesn't retrace at some point, then the market is definitely going to crash. These rise and fall exists to create some bias in the minds of people and thats where the value comes.
4038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin the best one to invest in? Or am i too late? :( on: April 20, 2021, 11:34:19 PM
Investing in bitcoin 8s no bad idea and personally, i don't think there is ever a too late on investments so long as, your sure to make some profit and in this case, your obviously sure to make some profit. At the moment,  the crypto market across all coins is experiencing some bearish move and as such, your most likely to buy at a low from any point and make some profit when the bullish move comes.

With bitcoin being the top and referenced coin, investing in bitcoin  is probably the best choice in picking a coin to invest in. Where the problem comes is with the charge or fee as it becomes increasing difficult to transact with bitcoin due to the value attached that has brought in a lot of investors. Other than this, its all good.
4039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin last till infinity on: April 20, 2021, 11:11:20 PM
I was just about to question your idea of infinity because, I really don't know where it comes from. How do you know if there is an infinity at all and again, there could never really be an answer for such a question with a giant leap into the future. Its far more yo even give an insight to it but, your content kind of narrows it down to 30years and further notice. O wonder what is that 'Further notice". Perhaps ots the infinity being talked about.

Well, if I should say something about bitcoin and the role the government are playing at the moment,  i think the government are doing what every normal individual or body as it is in this case would of. Bitcoin is a revolution and revolutions are always against so.ething for various reasons on a change. So, when this change isn't going to maximize profit for you, especially when you don't know how to utilise it, you've got to put out a fight.

Thats what the government is doing but, bitcoin has evolved to be the people, following ots decentralized nature and as such, fighting the people you claim to serve isn't the best of strategy and so, its natural to expect the government to fail in this fight and hope that the world would adopt bitcoin at some point.
4040  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ The European Super League ( ESL) on: April 20, 2021, 09:58:07 PM
The idea of the super league is nothing short of money from the way I see it. We already have a lot of competitions in the leagues both local and international as we see it now, its not like in most leagues, some teams a particular team are expressing continual dominance as we see it in the Bundesliga. That isn't the case in most especially, the EPL, in the Italian Serie A we can see Inter Milan to have come up and top the league, in Laliga we have Atletico Madrid and it keeps going on and on.

So, the idea of a super league is unwarranted as its only going to be about the funds for the league organisers and the clubs.
