4021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: April 07, 2021, 02:15:10 PM
Definitely yes! There will be another golden opportunity to buy Bitcoin cheap but that will be during the bear run — 2023/2024 are the likely time for a massive dip.

That is why it is important to adopt the right strategy, which will help one go through the bear phase. This is where a proper bear rotation should be considered. While many finance and financial media experts tend to focus on the shorter term market movements, we should also invest in the mid to long term, to sustain our performance and move ahead.
4022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: April 07, 2021, 02:09:20 PM
And there is yet another group that is not mentioned often enough but there are people that just want to use bitcoin to buy stuff, they do not want to be investors and they don't want to be traders the only thing that they want is for bitcoin to give them the freedom to buy whatever they want without the government find out and snooping in every single transaction that they make, and I have the feeling that group is going to be a lot bigger than the other two in the future.

In order for bitcoin to reach its true potential, and to actually make an impact on people's lives, there needs to be more and more usage and adoption, we need more people to start to understand what it is, to purchase goods and services, and become part of the ecosystem. If the technology can be more mainstream, the ecosystem and businesses can start growing.
4023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto are Same like casino slots on: April 07, 2021, 02:01:41 PM
Buying cryptocurrency is a high-risk investment. Cryptocurrency does not have any form of oversight or regulation, and investors have no protection against fraud or loss.

However, I believe that comparing cryptocurrency investment to gambling and casino slots is completely inappropriate. Gambling is based on chance and pure luck, while your expertise and experience have a significant impact on the positive outcome of your cryptocurrency investment.
4024  Other / Meta / @JohnnyLVC - Abuse and violation of the forum's good practices on: April 07, 2021, 12:57:46 PM
I just noticed something in the Off-topic board that I feel deserves special attention from the moderators.
In the last hour, user JohnnyLVC has created as many as 16 new threads with recurring topic with the intention of promoting links to his personal website (presumably). I realized the futility of reporting all of his posts to the moderator after I began doing so. Instead, I decided to open this topic for moderators to review and decide on appropriate measures.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=2002039;sa=showPosts [archived]

An example of one of his posts:
Free File fits everyone’s budget, if there are any other queries that you need help with you can always contact your local tax relief firm and get yourself professional assistance.

Isn't this kind of conduct and blatant violation of forum rules worthy of a tougher punishment, such as a permanent ban, rather than only deleting spam posts?
4025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think Bitcoin Save Your Economy on: April 07, 2021, 12:09:18 PM

With the recent situation with the pandemic going on. Has created many economic challenges for all.

Do you think Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency could really help people bring back their economy?

Bitcoin itself can’t save the economy, but Bitcoin can be used as a fall back/back up in case the government loses control of the monetary system because of BRRR money-printing.

I would even go as far as saying the future of money will have to be a decentralized system. Cryptos will come to dominate currency. The same can be done for the entire centralized banking system.
4026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't you hate it when.... on: April 06, 2021, 08:14:54 PM
It' s part of the game. In sports, you never know what is going to happen. And if you're going to place bets, you can bet it'll be a roller-coaster ride.

And that's where, for us, we love the game. Grin
4027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on Binance coin (BNB). on: April 06, 2021, 07:39:53 PM
(d) Is there a possibility that BNB will topple ETH soon as the second
      most valuable coin?

Well, I don't think so. Simply put, BNB is a development stage project, while Ethereum is a mature one. I'm not saying one is better than the other, I'm just saying they are different. And when I say mature, I think about the code, the APIs and the customer experience – not just the technology.
4028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and crypto purpose on: April 06, 2021, 06:13:44 PM
I am quite confused about what exactly OP wants to explain to us...

Don't worry, you're not alone. I'm sure he's as confused as we are.  Wink
4029  Economy / Speculation / Re: Altcoins pumping like crazy - is the BTC Bullcycle ending? on: April 06, 2021, 06:07:53 PM
do you have any thoughts about the topic?

While it's impossible to definitively say the bitcoin bull cycle is over just yet, there are a few reasons why I can think of for the insane price growth we have seen this week.

Firstly, there are plenty of altcoins surging in price with Ethereum and Binance Coint leading the charge. Bitcoin may be approaching a bit of a turning point and its dominance has been eroding lately and this has paved the way for these new cryptos to gain significant mindshare.

If they keep moving up in price I think they will keep finding new and substantial support, and become attractive for speculation.
4030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marvel featuring Bitcoin!!😀 on: April 06, 2021, 05:55:55 PM
Bitcoin gives us an incredible freedom and independence in financial and technical domain, and so far it has proved that it's able to provide and show its advantages to the most important global industries, and as Blockchain and decentralisation are now becoming the major things in the financial and economic world, I really feel so great that Bitcoin can be used by Marvel heroes in movies as well.

I bet Tony Stark was the real Satoshi in the Marvel universe. Grin
4031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think Bitcoin Save Your Economy on: April 06, 2021, 05:43:59 PM
What are your thoughts on this. Could this cryptocurrency help people give some new direction?

That is a good question. One of the things I believe Bitcoin is good for is for businesses and national economy. There's so much fraud in the economy now. The business sector has been completely and totally devastated by fraud and rip-offs of all kinds. What Bitcoin can do is to provide a safer, more reliable way to exchange value in the economy, which is absolutely essential in business and in commerce. I think that that will unleash some very good business opportunities.
But I also believe that if you're trying to have something that resembles a currency, you're going to have to go through the government, and then, of course, you're going to have to take into account regulation by the banks and everything else.

What is my constructive hobby? Reading. I'm a voracious reader.
I am often found curled up with a book.
4033  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low could the next bear market move bitcoin? on: April 05, 2021, 11:35:53 PM
I think we're reaching the peak soon. So I was wondering, how much do you think we could get down to?

Well, bitcoin's extreme volatility means you have to think long term, not months, let alone weeks. So, although I remain confident bitcoin will still trade higher in the longer term, I think the coming weeks could be difficult for it.

You know, it's hard to know exactly. But I think there is a target for the next major low, and it's probably below $35,000, maybe down to $25,000. But it's very hard to know exactly. But we'll see.
4034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum GAS fee so high? on: April 05, 2021, 09:22:17 PM
Why ethereum GAS fee is so high?
Is there any possibility of fee reduction?
What are the factors are responsible for increasing or decreasing the fee?

The current high gas price is due to the increased adoption of the 0x smart contract system, where most transactions can't go through the normal channels (scalability problems, etc) but have to go through an intermediary.
When the gas prices will come back down to normal levels is a matter of debate.

Good food and conversation, the rest, you already know it guys.

A guy looking for a girls to converse with? I suppose you're one of only a few people in the entire world. LOL!
Conversation means, having a good talk with things in life and topics that you both agree with. It's part of communication which strengthens the relationship.

Yeah, I may be the few in the world that understands its importance.

^^ I really should have put the sarcasm tags on that one.  Grin

Buddy, I know what "conversation" you mean. If you had read a few posts up, you would have noticed that I had replied to this topic in a similar manner.
4036  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is it so sleepy during the day and full of energy at night? on: April 05, 2021, 11:46:01 AM
...

This is due to the fact that you are a nocturnal creature. Without thorough analysis, it's difficult to say which exact species you are; do you have any other distinguishing characteristics? Each piece of information you provide will help flesh out the picture of what you are.

Is death the end or there is more to it?

I don't know … I guess I'll never know for sure.

But what I do know is that I've always believed in an afterlife, and it's very comforting to know that you're still a part of your family even though they're no longer physically with you.

By the way, I'm sorry to hear about your father's passing. From someone who has been there, I can assure you that it will get easier in time.

Hi friends Today I would like to know what thoughts are running at this moment in your mind...

Right now, I'm thinking about how many dumb topics there are on this forum.  Cheesy

4040  Other / Off-topic / Re: Happy Easter everyone! on: April 05, 2021, 07:54:35 AM
-Why has the pagan tradition of celebrating a bunny which research has said to be a Germanic Goddess that lay eggs (easter bunny) been put on same day/incorporated with the day christians have set aside to celebrate the resurrection of Christ?

I'm not really sure about this.
I guess eggs and chickens have the symbolism of a new birth (a new beginning) but I don't know what the bunny is about. Probably the candy industry saw a good opportunity to better monetize this holiday as well as they did with Santa Claus and Christmas.
