4021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: November 12, 2020, 12:22:30 AM
Most of them avoid bitcoin because they hear that is associated with fraud and scam and they think because of the decentralisation of bitcoin that in the case of been scammed there is no authorities to turn to but they all forget or are not familiar with the benefits of crypto.
That's a major reason, people come to know about the scams and other cryptocurrency frauds prior than the true value of bitcoin. This makes them stand away and watch what is happening than making their involvement into cryptocurrency. People never avoid bitcoin, but the circumstances make them into a dilemma. Compared to the past days, now people are much active and aware to analyse and make their way into bitcoin.
4022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: November 11, 2020, 11:43:41 PM
The women power is much important in each and everything. In simple the grasping power and the dedicated involvement into anything will be cent percent. On the top if a women finds it to be worthy, the spreading will happen in hypersonic speed. Women are getting into technology and as a part I expect the slow and steady increase in the number of women users.
4023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a world power? on: November 11, 2020, 05:39:03 PM
I seem to me that OP is pertaining to the possibility that Bitcoin could dominate the world's currency. Perhaps, to be considered as a universal currency for means of transactions. But IMO, it isn't possible for the characteristic of bitcoin. Yes, it was made for peer to peer transactions, but in order to attract more adoption of people, it should be capable to be used for micro transactions such as in stores, buying cheap items and services. It could be a store of value, our own storage for money, but never to be a world power. As bitcoin is decentralized and could not be controlled by an entity, even if Paypal will integrate it, many who really understand what Bitcoin is will still consider using a decentralized approach for the best benefit of Bitcoin.
Yes, the success relies over the increased usage of bitcoin by the common man. This happens when bitcoin becomes an asset usable on micropayments. As of now bitcoin isn't used much on micropayments because of the fees. More large scale firms have begun to adopt bitcoin as reserve and on investment, but the usage as currency on daily needs isn't found much.
4024  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: November 11, 2020, 04:39:42 PM
Legalization of cannabis will surely have positive as well as negative impact over the country's economic growth. To my understanding cannabis can be legalized and can be distributed by the government for the respective person. This could eliminate the usage of cannabis for other purposes and stop illegal import of cannabis into the country.
4025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will crypto behave during a Biden presidency? on: November 11, 2020, 03:59:16 PM
Already USA is the leading market for cryptocurrency, and it is the place where large number of cryptocurrency users as well as large number of businesses accepting bitcoin is found.

With the Biden presidency we can expect some positive news, if not we'll encounter the same growth same as now. Quite often we'll get some updates from the US Securities and Exchanges Commission. Some form of regulation will be done and the process continues without any clear conclusion.
4026  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: November 11, 2020, 03:17:48 PM
the good news is "LOCKDOWN" the second time is not as strict as the first time (during the "PANDEMIC" peak).  France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Ireland, England, and Austria have officially started the second "LOCKDOWN", schools are still open but only bars and restaurants are closed.  it could be said that the second "LOCKDOWN" this time will not have much of an impact on the economy (like the first "LOCKDOWN") so there's nothing to worry about..

European countries only have themselves to blame for this. They allowed the pubs and nightclubs to be opened and young people were roaming here and there without any sort of protective equipment. If they had adopted stricter measures, then this second wave could have avoided. None of the other geographies are witnessing this "second wave".
Initially it was USA that never gave importance to the safety measures. Trump government was much focused on the economic growth, and the lack of precaution by the early days gave them a big blow. Further they started to blame China, that they're the real cause for the prevailing situation. Now the same is happening with European nations, government needs to act fast to get out of the worst days.
4027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earn and save in Satoshi on: November 11, 2020, 03:01:33 PM
"Earn and save in Satoshi" is a strong and true statement that has made big changes is lot many people's life. The truth of this statement can be understood when you make an conversation with the people who started earning from the very beginning days of bitcoin into usage. In the early days people who have earned through faucets are now leading a comfy living. Based on the reality, what we earn now will surely make a big change in the future.
4028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Paypal accepted the Crypto but it will reduce the BTC marketcaps on: November 09, 2020, 11:33:05 PM
I would say the odds of fractional reserve shenanigans are very low.
I agree they are very low, but they are not zero. Much better to hold your own keys and your own coins, where the odds of any fractional reserve shenanigans are exactly zero.

Sure, that wasn't meant to encourage people to invest on Paypal or downplay the security risks. It was just a comment on this idea that Paypal balances are fake BTC printed out of thin air. On the contrary, I expect Paypal to have quite a bullish effect on the market because the BTC they'll be accumulating on behalf of customers will be quite real.
Same as we get digital money through the net banking created out of thin air, it isn't possible to do the same on bitcoin. If paypal is a new company getting into the transaction business, then there is possible chances of paypal doing it. A company that has gained good reputation in the market will not ruin it.
4029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without banks, is it possible to move physical currencies to Crypto? on: November 08, 2020, 11:52:29 PM
Earlier we had the access to move physical currencies to bitcoin through localbitcoins. Later for regulatory needs it has been taken away. In this process one can't stay anonymous, this is possible on in-person trade. The buyer and seller agrees to meet at a place and exchange bitcoin for cash. This has got limitations. This is how banks usage was eliminated, and now scenario has changed with each and every transaction getting associated with banks.
4030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lets imagine world without fiat currency on: November 07, 2020, 09:44:05 PM
It is quite an easy task to have everything priced in terms of bitcoin. Before that what we need to think about is the accessibility. As of now we're in a situation to pay atleast $5 for a product worth of $2. This needs to change and we need to have transaction fee free access to limited amount. For example if the product value is below $100 we don't need to pay transaction fee. This will make common people get interested in using bitcoin similar to fiat in daily life.
4031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in the pandemic on: November 05, 2020, 10:08:52 PM
budgetary numbers looked shocking so there were huge loads of nations around the globe that permitted this to proceed with which is the reason we are not doing that well. Aside from purchasing a specific coin when it drops to hodl and exchange when cost begins expanding. Yet, separated this purchasing low and selling after at some point, I truly don't see a set of experiences.

These days is not good enough to see trading to be efficient since the pandemic hasn't overcome. World crisis really affected our monetary system including cryptocurrency, because the circulation of money always depend with it. Most particular traders always look on the demand of each coins within an exchange volume which is very important factors. Holding an asset is the only ways to survive.
Maybe thats the real market situation, and people aren't good enough to be into cryptocurrency trading for different reasons. In my country during the pandemic people have looked for alternative ways to make an earning. This has made lot many to land into cryptocurrency trading. How effective is their earning ? I'm not sure of it, but the pandemic has driven more common people towards cryptocurrency usage.

4033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Does uniswap really believe ? on: October 31, 2020, 11:13:08 PM
Uniswap is an exchange. This is the best exchanger I've ever seen. Its very easy to exchange tokens. Uniswap provides a great airdrops up to 1k  usd for users.
It has several disadvantages
1. High commission
2. Lots of fake contracts where you can lose your funds.
3. Lots of bots
You need to trade with extreme caution.
As you said it has got high commission, but it functions with legitimacy. Particularly for people who find it hard to change their holdings through the trading process can make use of it with ease. The chance of fake contracts is very low, because before adding a single token to the list its been cross checked for legitimacy. You need to be careful handling the commission, apart from that there is no big caution need to be taken.
4034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Loan to buy Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2020, 02:44:22 PM
I would say no to this proposal. I know bitcoin is a good asset and can be a good investment. But the main reason is bitcoin is so unstable and price is volatile. You can't say where will be the price of bitcoin go tomorrow. So, I can't buy bitcoin with a loan. I will take the risk till it's my own money.
You're right. It is always good to risk your own money than borrowed money. I experienced personally in my life. I had little amount of bitcoin in my wallet, but I took loan to fulfill some home needs considering there'll be growth with bitcoin. My prediction went wrong and now I'm in debt paying interest. If I've sold at the right time I could've avoided debt.
4035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: While we're on Halloween, Remember this date! on: October 31, 2020, 01:18:50 PM

Above is the image that isn't visible in the OP

I don't get your thoughts properly. Satoshi published the white paper on October 31, and to get the attention of people he waited for two months. In between it was halloween, Christmas and New Year which won't let people have a complete focus towards the network. This might be a reason, but the reality might be different. He itself knew it isn't easy to reach the public in a short, because he never intended to promote it through advertising or other means.
4036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip, and HODL! on: October 31, 2020, 12:42:23 PM
With bitcoin it is quite hard to calculate the dip, because the price will change every minute. When we predict the market to fall to $13000 and make a buy order. It gets executed by $13000, and soon after when we try to sell for $13200 the market drops even low. This is what it is must to have better understanding and make buying and selling else we need the ability to bear the loss.
4037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins that would make a good short term #HODL on: October 31, 2020, 11:44:35 AM
The short term coins that are now good to hold for a short time to make some decent profit is BNT, IOTA, SPG, CHI, etc. Among these SPG and BNT is good where you can get a quick benefit and there is no downside risk also.
In your list, iota and chi is also good to hold. But you can add bnb, btc and ethereum which is also profitable on short or long term. Well, we can hold other coins as long we research before investing.

Actually, you can do it with all cool “hype” projects. However, you should feel if many people believe in its future or not. Invest in tokens at the very beginning, hold them for several months, and then sell the crypto when they (maybe) even do not reach the peak price.
Now it's the time for DEFI projects, go through the new projects and analyse the legitimacy of the project. Make an investment on the project, you can get back assured return in a very short term. Other than this, if your capital investment is big go for low priced coins in the top order and try to make little earning out of the market change.
4038  Economy / Speculation / Re: US economy won’t be charging upwards like we had hoped for on: October 31, 2020, 07:35:44 AM
More companies have been suffering the worst days of business. Everyone are much concerned about the president election scheduled for this month. Once after the election there'll be sudden boost in the economy, particularly with the stocks. This growth is temporary and the same might be taken forward based on the money flow created by the forming government.
4039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What "Type" Of Cryptocurrencies Could Hit 5000$ - 10,000$ Mark!? on: October 30, 2020, 11:28:05 PM
You could see lot many coins growing 1000% and more in a day. If you look for the volume of those coins it'll be less than $1000. Here you've connected everything along with the market circulation and the volume which is fair, but the long standing growth is must. We can't expect this to happen with every project other than limited number of top listed coins. We can't state the growth as hype always, but being cautious to profit at the right moment is good.
4040  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: October 30, 2020, 05:11:11 PM
Governments were the reason for this situation. If governments have acted wisely, atleast everyone would've got food to eat. In recent days I see Venezuela to be the most affected without food. Already its been facing hard inflation, along with this people doesn't get proper food. Even the people with money weren't able to import/buy food and medicines.
