4021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 16, 2020, 09:38:57 AM
The Op post probably suggest he is betting for the prize and not to enjoy or have fun with gambling. I think you should be able to quite If your money/time spent on betting is too much, and you were/are not really attracted by the fun or pleasure & use it to suppress a problem in your life.
In my opinion, spending too much time/money on betting without minding your loses could be considered an addiction.
4022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Simple BITCOIN Analysis on: February 16, 2020, 09:04:50 AM
Buying the dips should be done with amount of money one can afford to lose. It's possible to just automate the "buy dips" with just $50(depending how much you can really afford to lose). I think it could even help a crypto community prevent serious price dump like what you fear would happen. I guess we could call this an unintentional dump prevention mechanism.
4023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: February 16, 2020, 08:41:40 AM
If you are regular gambler (except maybe you automate your bet to bet longterm, amount of money you can afford to lose ) without being profitable, then I guess you are somewhat addicted. Besides, am not sure if people make consistent profits from playing probability-based game like dice. People mostly play to get lucky and win huge available prizes.  Guess the prizes are worth playing for in moderation.
4024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing did you feel you must return the soonest to win back your losses? on: February 16, 2020, 08:26:42 AM
Didn't participate unfortunately. Wished I saw what the site's owner/owners, researchers or bots comments suggest. I guess their conclusions should be based on well researched, factual/honest materials. That could end up helping addicted gamblers and probably help prevent others from becoming addicted.
4025  Other / Off-topic / Re: BINANCE SCAM ALERT!!! on: February 16, 2020, 07:49:00 AM
Hope it becomes possible in Crypto future to quickly freeze money made through easy-to-prove scams like this (assuming it's really scam) and return the coins to their owners.
I think scams like that will probably be handled better in well decentralized community.
Including the feature in decentralized systems will help discourage  people from attempting that kind of scam
4026  Other / Off-topic / Are you OK with this kind patenting? on: February 16, 2020, 06:40:37 AM
How do we handle the case below...

*Crypto people share ideas for the benefits of real decentralization,  and other people (mostly those who don't believe in true decentralization) copy the ideas, maybe make some modifications and patent them. Do you think this is ok?

I strongly believe ideas shared in Crypto communities or for crypto communities should only be used for true decentralization and not patented.
I am sure true crypto people wouldn't care who use their ideas, as long as the ideas are not used outside of making truely decentralized things and are not patented. .
I guess every community in Crypto space should state this clearly to prevent people from patenting our ideas and getting wealthy from them?
4027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fake freewallet mails, Beware on: February 14, 2020, 02:39:35 PM
Too risky to give out your important email address just like that or use it on any kind of site. Better to handle your most important email address like you would handle your private keys. Decentralized platform is probably one of the safest things I would trust such email address and other personal identifications on.
4028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's transaction fee lowered by 4000% on: February 14, 2020, 01:58:36 PM
Segwit and batching aren't responsible for a 4000% drop, i guess you're just comparing the fees of a large transaction in the middle of the 2017 spam attack (that fueled bidding war for fees) and the fees of a normal transaction right now.

A couple years ago, somebody was just spamming the mempool with thousands of transactions, so in order to have a decent chance of getting your transaction into a block, you had to outbid all those spam transactions... The fees were insane, but the attack only lasted a couple of months (if memory serves me correctly), before and after the attack the fees have always been very reasonable.

I wonder if the spam attack still happens or is it reduced? Been long fees went up that high.
I wonder exactly how that was fixed(assuming it has been fixed). IP ban? Or through some other means?
4029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone trading on "Decentralized Exchanges"? on: February 14, 2020, 10:30:25 AM
I usually call them semi-decentralized exchanges, but I wonder if that is the appropriate name for them, considering that few individuals who know themselves well or the exchange owners may be dictating the rules and how the nodes behave.
I guess we should just let them be with the semi-dex tag. Decentralization is Decentralization. If things become too confusing or complicated, we use Real Decentralization
4030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One of the best crypto trading strategy ! on: February 14, 2020, 10:00:57 AM
Wish you had the video on a more popular video sharing site like YouTube. I am not sure if I have ever used the site you posted the video on. People should remember to trade with what they can afford to lose, and not be tempted to take too many risk.
4031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proven tennis bettor / Private Service with daily tips provided. 80 percent win on: February 14, 2020, 08:45:21 AM
Interesting. Your service requires proofs I guess. You could let some reputable members on this forum test your service for some times (maybe one or two weeks). This will probably help your reputation here a little. Maybe if you win consistently for over one year, the reputation will increase more.
4032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy for Dice on: February 14, 2020, 07:59:11 AM
Dice is luck or probability based game. I doubt it has a dependable or consistent strategy. But I feel like the physical ones could have unknown strategy/strategies.     Will likely be very difficult to develop a consistent strategy for the online provable fair ones without cheating
4033  Economy / Gambling / Re: IDEA - new concept for strategy game on: February 14, 2020, 07:22:41 AM
Thanks for all the comments. I agree that this game have some problems. The principal one is that a big whale may be able to always win. I am thinking of a way to avoid this. One option is that players may join together their bets in order to bit a bigger whale. Then it can become an exciting strategy game.

I think I am going to make a simple website with 'play money', so everybody can test the idea, suggest variations and perhaps we end up with a game that works. Will see...

I think It's a good idea to test it first before going public. This should help you determine what will be successful and what will not.
Hope you could comment on fees or how the you/owner intend to earn from the game. And also reply my question on "what happens if no one wins"
4034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a significant inflation happen worldwide? on: February 14, 2020, 07:04:03 AM
I guess it depends on what currency people find more useful and safe.
I think if such events occur, people will most likely use Bitcoin if they know about it and if still censorship resistant, easy to use and access.
A Well decentralized Bitcoin or cryptocurrency really has a chance of doing well in such situations.
4035  Other / Off-topic / Re: How feasible is it to bury crypto assets in hidden locations on: February 14, 2020, 05:21:03 AM
The assets should probably be unmovable in their underground locations if necessary.. maybe chained, or something?
Only their owners should be able to unlock and move them with their private keys.

Note:   If the "unbreakable" container adds to the cost of the assets, the buyer can agree to take only the asset & leave the container for the seller. Once the seller verify that the container is there, he/she confirms it and part of the escrowed fund(the container cost) is returned to the asset buyer.
4036  Other / Off-topic / How feasible is it to bury crypto assets in hidden locations on: February 14, 2020, 04:47:24 AM
Example:
- Put valuable assets in "unbreakable" containers that can only be open with Bitcoin/crypto private keys.

 - Get them buried randomly in hidden locations

- Tag them with RFID, GPS or/and use some natural or artificial beacon

— Buyers go through the online list of available assets buried & hidden at the locations of their choices. *The list should be public for the sake of transparency & the law of land.

- owners sell to buyers who verify they exist as described, and are also legal assets
. *Escrow could be used here.

- the buyers leave the sellers positive/negative ratings, depending on their mutual contracts and quality of the assets

- Only the owners know where the assets are buried and only them can access the assets with their private keys

- the assets is reburied in another random location by the owners or taken home.

✴The soil properly covered to avoid erosion or something. otherwise buyers that leave them uncovered get some negative rating.

This's closely similar to Treasure hunting, I guess.
4037  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Random coin picks experiment on: February 13, 2020, 01:51:09 PM
Probably better to create bots to earn from the fluctuating price of established cryptocurrencies. This is safer and can earn you consistent profits. You just need to properly set the bot to buy important dips and sell bit by bit as price recovers. You could just leave some amount of coin for long-term increase in price
4038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still staking Bitconnect tokens.. on: February 13, 2020, 01:26:45 PM
Where then do you sell the tokens after staking? Are there exchanges it is listed on or you sell peer-to-peer to those that still find it useful aside the monetary rewards they gain from it? What exactly do people find useful about the coin? Never really had time to research how the coin works or worked in the past.
4039  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries and their own cryptocurrency! on: February 13, 2020, 10:53:24 AM
I am not sure if the data presented is accurate. As pointed out already, Encash is not a cryptocurrency. J-coin, on the other hand, is not a cryptocurrency of Japan. If I am not mistaken, Japan does not have a state cryptocurrency yet, although it was studied and even recommended by their legislators as a reaction to China planning to launch their own digital Yuan. J-coin was a creation of a number of Japanese banks.

Countries going digital with their fiat is a normal shift because the age is already digital. Hard cash is not anymore the way to go in the future. For sure, the time will come when each and every country in the world will issue their own digital currency.
Not a good idea to repeat the mistakes of fiat currencies in cyber world. But incase it happens, there definitely will be "neutral" digital currencies (cryptocurrency for example) people will fall back on when their countries become tyrannical, or start falling apart or when disasters strike or when evil/lawlessness/corruption reigns. That currency or currencies will most likely be well decentralized currencies/cryptocurrencies.
4040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Traders be careful on: February 13, 2020, 09:47:00 AM
But i am shocked after the little bull run that pushed up bitcoin, etherum anf other token prices, people are starting to offer signal services, ttadr signals etc

No werent on bull run phase yet. This is simply a boost from all over investors and traders who are looking forward for a healthy market. Bull run is something very huge and lots of money will be involved due to demand of different coins and tokens.

Signal? You mean a group where people given certain clue or hint to buy or sell? That's not actually new and even for altcoins there are lots of groups like these. Anyway your advice is good but you cant force other to rely on charts and normal basis due to lack of knowledge.

Or people should probably just use signals from traders who are consistently right. Many of those groups are not worth risking ones hard-earned money. They could even be buying up coins that don't deserve investments and dumping on their customers.
I guess it's better to just use free sites like TradeView.
