4041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Meme-worthy slots winning reactions (with poll) on: May 11, 2020, 09:57:19 AM
I know house edge is typically above 3% for slots but had no idea there were some ways to speed bet.
No, no, that's not what I meant. My previous comment was just about how fast slots produce a result per spin/game compared to blackjack or poker since we have to wait for the card to be shuffled, put on table step by step, etc.

It's a bit crazy to think that 96% RTP isn't bad, but I guess 99% RTP has given a slant for relativity!
Yeah, but for gamers, especially the one on twitch, they are more interested in the gameplay. No one will watch 99% RTP slots with crap graphics/gameplay.

P.S. Poker and dice are what I spend a LOT of time on. But I imagine slot players play for hours if they have a large bankroll!
If you see in this Twitch category of gambling games, slots game is the most popular one with 10k viewers (at the time I write this post). Other games, not even close. Maybe viewers just want to see streamers getting REKT Grin

Wow, the result is even guys! What is going on here??
4042  Economy / Economics / Re: Socialism vs Capitalism Meme Review on: May 11, 2020, 09:36:03 AM
The sad thing about this "socialism" is no matter how many countries tried it and failed, people always tried to push this crap again and again. It's like a cycle: the poor want more from the rich -> coup/election -> socialism -> all become poorer -> coup/election -> capitalism -> new rich people emerge.
4043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 [Match Result & Discussion] on: May 11, 2020, 09:21:41 AM
Alliance were dominating the first game but in the second game, they had a really bad situation where S4 was so bad and lost his lane so hard and then it gave a very big impact on the other lanes too.
Navi were leading the second game with a big networth gap and very farmed medusa but suddenly the Medusa threw the rapier and let Nikobaby's SF have it. Just with that Alliance turned things around and ended the game very quickly.
This Dota 2 "El Clasico" game brings back lots of memories.
I thought NaVi was going to win the 2nd game, but that bounty rune bait was epic. Alliance smoked and wait for Medusa to take the rune.

By the way for today:
Liquid (1.75) vs Alliance (2.01) should be a close match

I wish Alliance win this match tbh, especially S4 is still there.
4044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Meme-worthy slots winning reactions (with poll) on: May 10, 2020, 09:45:50 AM
I'm too lazy to click on all of them, what were the respective prizes they won
Just click, and the answer shall be revealed.

how much (probably more important) did they already bet on slots?
I don't know how much they wager dude, yep some of them were very active in the slots channel stream.

I've never enjoyed slots, always see it as a big money eater with no real appeal other than the JP. Then again, I play the lottery so I'm one to talk!
Let's see how much RTP for the mentioned slots game, according to slotcatalog.com:
- DOA2 96.82%
- Money Train 96.2%
- Knight's life 95.84%
- Who Wants To Be a Millionaire 96.24%
- Reactoonz RTP 94.51%

These may be high for crypto casinos, but not like it will rob you... The slots game is famous for "money eater" simply because it can spin very fast. So you will play (and therefore pay) significantly more for 10 minutes in slots compared to poker or whatever.

I will vote number three as this guy looks somewhat like me

Now I am only missing the jackpot.
Ruben only won 124,400 HUF or ~385 USD
LMAO!

@Rengga Jati that's a merit worthy commentary Grin

4046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 08, 2020, 01:24:42 PM
Why did you guys want to shorten the match? What's the purpose? The article was only about a hypothetical thing, about what it looks like if the games were only run for 75 mins.

I think EPL can resume ASAP if they play the game without supporters, even better if they broadcast it for free to the world as a charity.
4047  Economy / Economics / Re: Money History - Introduction to Ancient Exchanges on: May 08, 2020, 01:14:17 PM
Great thread, I like reading something light like this. Anyway, I want to read more about Quantitative Easing (QE) and Open Market Operation (OMO) if OP can extend the discussion since it's the key about "printing money out of thin air" arguments. It got soo bad in the last decade that people should carefully think about it.
4048  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Apakah Halving Bitcoin 2020 Berakibat Fatal Terhadap Penambang? on: May 08, 2020, 12:54:01 PM
  • Apakah Halving Bitcoin 2020 Berakibat Fatal Terhadap Penambangan ?

4049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Altcoins that's very profitable in Trading and Mining. on: May 08, 2020, 12:23:20 PM
Mining is profitable if you steal electricity dude. Nowadays, mining is for farms somewhere in China or Mongolia with cheap electricity because of its huge rivers.

If you are small-time miners you can only profit if you pick small market cap coins, accumulate, and sell it when pump.
4050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 [Match Result & Discussion] on: May 08, 2020, 12:06:49 PM
NiP vs HR game 1 was too one-sided. Supream's Meepo (11-0-7) was out of control and demolished HR pretty comfortably. I think HR made a mistake with picking Clinkz as their carry. They should choose a carry with some burst and escape mechanism other than going invisible because the opponent has BH. Secondly, HR doesn't have good (reliable) lockdown abilities overall.

2nd game, Meepo is back Grin HR draft is much better this time. Let's watch it!
4051  Economy / Economics / Re: USD will lose its status of being reserve currency? I am scared. on: May 07, 2020, 07:45:04 PM
No country use only USD in its reserve portfolio I believe. In Indonesia for example, we hold USD along with a basket of various strong currencies, securities, and precious metals. Anyway, Bitcoin may be able to get into crypto asset basket in the future if it keeps performing well and the market mature.
4052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 [Match Result & Discussion] on: May 07, 2020, 06:04:03 PM
Sumail carry? I think he will take the midlaner position as in the previous team, I think OG is trying to resuffle all their roster, trying the best game from each player, it is not impossible that the sumail position as a carry will be replaced if it is not effective for him in the long run.
Yep, he was "promoted" to position 1, mid to safe lane carry transition should be smooth for a player for his caliber. But this team is different OG because of the new rooster.

I think one of the team will win theis game is the VP or Team secret
Anything can happen in Dota dude. VP and Team Nigma also won several small tournaments in 2020.

Better to predict one step, one game ahead.

4053  Economy / Economics / Re: The EU Should Issue Perpetual Bonds? on: May 07, 2020, 01:51:08 PM
Long term and perpetuity bonds were more appealing to the governments, not to the investors. It is perhaps because of the stock market outperforms the bond market for the past 20 years. And inflation made the coupons basically worthless after tens of years.

Ok with the perpetuity formula, investors can calculate the present value easily and determine the desired price for it. Let's say investors like it and buy it. If things then get desirable for the government, they will let it rust, and conversely, if things become unfavorable, they will call the bond.

Yep, it is more transparent than OMO, but the market may not be able to absorb it.
4054  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Nyomot Gambar Dari Internet. Dosa [Plagiarisme] Nggak Sih? on: May 07, 2020, 12:44:28 PM

Quote
✅ About using the music:

- You MUST include the full credits in your video description.
- You can NOT claim the music as your own.
- You can NOT sell the music anywhere.
- You can NOT use the music as background music for your own musical work without the artist's consent.
- You can NOT use the music without giving any credits in the video description.
- You can NOT remove or add parts from/to the credits.
- You can NOT use third-party software to download the video/track, always use our download links
- You MUST contact the artist if you wish to use the music on any kind of project outside of YouTube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STzt6dbcipo

I think freebitco.in also donates in a similar fashion since they donate 20% of HE at specified times. This way, users can choose if they want to participate or not by playing outside of the scheduled time.

-In every losing bet, 1% of it will be donated to their handpicked charity
-For every win, only 95% of the pot will be transfered to your wallet and the remaining 5% will go to your handpicked charity that is also available on the platform.
What you propose seems like an obligatory thing, not voluntary.
4056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Warning] Don't use changenow.io on: May 06, 2020, 07:28:03 PM
I tried changenow and similar sites like months ago since I don't have time to go to the exchange, wait for deposits and stuff. If the price fluctuates sharply, you'll get rekt for using such services. You can use them if the price is kinda stable. But I don't like it and don't use it anymore since they took too many fees (too expensive for a cheap guy like me).
4057  Economy / Economics / Re: Socialism vs Capitalism Meme Review on: May 06, 2020, 07:03:57 PM
Along with the growing Muslim population throughout the world. Islamic economists claim that the Islamic economic system is an economic system that can bring prosperity to all humans. The new ideology of capitalism and socialism applies at the level of the most basic purpose of human life, and not the true purpose of life. Fundamental goals keep changing so that humans will not be happy. In Islamic economics material is not a goal, but rather a tool/way to achieve the goal so that the benchmark for the success of the Islamic economic system is not more and more material or benefits gained. Rather it is the extent to which the material possessed has benefits to the running of the economy.
Suuureeee, Islamic Economic System is the best! Oh wait, we don't have one.

Quote
In the absence of a fully functioning Islamic economic system such an evolutionary interaction could not take place to pave the way for a credible system of Islamic economic doctrines. After the end of the Golden Period of the first four Caliphs, even the basic precepts of Islam did not remain fully operational. It is, therefore, not surprising that, with the exception of Ibn Khaldun, Muslim scholars, who contributed so much to philosophy, science and mathematics, could not make a mark in the important area of Islamic economics. As a result, we do not have at present anything like Islamic economics in the sense of a body of mutually-consistent doctrines of sufficient generality, "simulating" a real Islamic society. It is best to accept this fact in the field of economics in the manner we have done --and very wisely so-- in politics. A direct implication of this open admission is that, at least for the present, we have to turn to something tried in the field of economics, making sure that it does not contradict the basic philosophy of Islam.

Let's read more:

Quote
It may be useful at this point to make clear the 'method' we have employed in deducing the basic elements of an Islamic economic system. We have followed the "axiomatic" approach used in deductive logic: We first set out reasonable axioms which are assumed to hold in all circumstances. After their reasonableness is established they are not open to further question. The next step is then to work out the logical consequences of these axioms. We have adopted as our axioms: (i) Islam assigns central place to the individual in the universe, (also in the economic universe) (ii) However, this freedom entails "responsibility" which in turn implies ethical (and social) constraints on his "natural" freedom. Having accepted these axioms, we then deduce the "rules" or "principles" for a typical Islamic economy. This is the approach we have adopted in this article.
Source: same as above.

I think I read that somewhere:

Partially correct. A free market doesn't mean "absolute freedom" to pursue self-interest so that you can throw away morality to reap as many profits as you can. It is self-interest bounded by morality.

4058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some People Cannot Stop The Urge To Sports Betting And Gamble Even In Pandemic on: May 06, 2020, 06:03:13 PM
This discussion is more interesting if it's about wealth redistribution (economics) actually since no matter how much you give money to the poor people, they will go back to their previous "level." In other words, they will gamble or doing stupid things with their money until nothing left. But it's their money so they can do whatever they want with it.

I think Pogba can be taken with
Ramsay+40m
or
D Costa +40m
Ramsey (29) and Costa (29) are too old for ManUtd standard. OLE like young players, so if they signed any of these players, the management just went from bad to worst.

Anyway, Willian to Spurs?
