Why is devfee finding so much more shares so much faster?
Because of a different pool? I'm mining on suprnova

When you switch pools, difficulty starts off low and then ramps up.
Switch to mining at flypool and you'll probably get considerably better returns.

why is flypool so much better

I cranked up the core clock by 200 and the mem by 500 no change in hash rate though any ideas as to why ?

thanks top.

That worked for me ! getting 300sols on coinmine with 3  gtx 1070 and 1 gtx 970  thanks !

basically 90 sols per gtx 1070

Hello and thank for your work,

I have two rigs with claymore v6, 385+h/s each = 770 H/s
DevFee 2.5 then average hashrate must be 770x0.95 = 750 but 6h average on pools is about 706 H/s

We are loosing 5% in devefee process or in some place. (v.6 shows 0 rejected on both rigs, great job!!)

Similar with claymore v5 and other pools (tried zcash nicehash and nanopool)
Maybe you can fix or it.
Thank you

Same here. Got two rigs with ~850 sol/s rate . But on nanopool its reporting ~780 within 12 hrs. And that was noticed long ago. Dont know why is that. Any ideas ?

0 reject.

BR.

yeah something is def up with the reported hash rates
4046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v6.0 on: November 16, 2016, 06:27:14 AM
So according to ethman i see 12000 h/s on my rigs but on coinmine.pl zclassic pool i only see 10k never even seen the hashrate get close to what my rigs actually say

i did not have that issue on pool.mn , could it be a latency issue or is coinmine stealing hashes ?

Oh so that power bill you posted was for 1 month!? Shit I thought it was for a whole year lol! So are you paying residential rates? Seems like you should get a better rate for that kind of operation.

lol i wish it was one month yes the problem is i run the farm out of my basement and my power company refuses to zone it for comerical, I'm trying to get another 400 amp meter and see if i can get my residence zoned for busines by the city and force thier

hand.

Yeah i could rent a comerical warehouse for 2k-3k a month but that basically offsets what i would save in power costs  Sad

yeah but at least we keep pace with the silent army and optiminer folks

I love Claymore's v6.0

7 MSI RX470s: 985 H/s
955 Watts at the wall
68 ave Watts (MSI Afterburner)
57C ave GPU Temp (MSI Afterburner)
47C CPU Temp
1500 Strap
MSI Afterburner settings: 1950 Memory Clock, 1150 Core Clock
thats high wattage u need to undervolt

i want to buy some gpu for mining Zcash. . what is best ROI for mining this coin  ? AMD rx 480 or 470?

personally i choose XFX RX 470 Black 4gb .. can undervolt a lot and overclock core and memory a lot, along with timings, great card for price.

I have some of these , they are voltage locked man you cant undervolt them outside of bios mod or wattman
do you have PowerColor Radeon RX 470 4GB DDR5 Red Devil? this GPU can undervolt?

--thank you all for reply my post--

Yes those are the BEST cards imo they are voltage unlocked and FAST with the old version 5.0 they were hashing at 124 h/s stock I imagine on 6.0 they will do 145

they seem to all have higher voltages so you must undervolt them by -16 or -20 if you can or they use alot of power.  I will try and mod the straps on one of them to see what happens but for now they are my favorite rx card for zec at least

I would say rx 480 4gb.. much more cheaper than the 8gb version (even cheaper than the 470 8gb, at least in my country).. almost similar performance in term mining zcash... in my case rx 480 consume less power than the 470..

here's the hashrate of my sapphire nitro rx 470 8gb & rx 480 4gb:

the gpu 0 = rx 470, gpu 1 = rx 480

with the same core and clocks a 480 will consume 10% more than a 470  no way it cosumes less

I might just leave my core clocks low , to keep the power savings , I undervolt with wattman as well so even though my hash rates are lower with under 1100 core clocks power savings are better , tough call.
4054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v5.0 on: November 15, 2016, 05:58:38 PM
just want to share my experience a little bit...

I did a little experiment... trial & error..
I use sapphire nitro rx 470 8gb samsung memory & rx 480 4gb hynx memory.. at first i set core clock 1300 and memclock 2200 with 1750 strap bios using polaris on my rx 470 8gb.. the result were good.. 120 to 135 h/s on both card..total 250 to 260 + h/s... but the rx 470 use much more power than the rx 480.. I had a hard time trying reducing the power consumption on my rx 470.. when use sapphire trix and lowering voltage.. yes the power decrease from about 103-105 on gpu-z to 95-98 watts... but after some time the computer freeze...then i had an idea to try to reduce the memclock and keep the core clock unchanged... I set 1300/2050 using polaris bios editor..flash it with atiwinflash.. reboot.. then run the claymore v5.0 again.. the hashrate don't change.. still around 120 - 135 h/s on both card.. but with this setting i can decrease the voltage and my computer not freeze... stable.... I think with zcash the secret is on the core clock.. more cclock.. more hash rate..

here's the screenshot: GPU 0 rx 470 8gb, GPU 1 RX 480 4GB (both are sapphire nitro)

here's the bios setting of my cards, maybe you may want to try it:

good info , i guess ill lower mem clock and raise core clock on my zcash miners , sucks though when i switch back to ETH i would have to modify all my cards again UGH !
4055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v5.0 on: November 15, 2016, 05:50:36 PM
so it seems that stock bios cards work better on the RX series for ZEC mining, my stock 470s do 120h/s and my strap modded ones for eth do 109-114

my modded timings bios 4gb 470's are doing 122-130..only overclocked memory to 1950 ,core is stock 1256 and undervolted to 950mv.

all my 470s have the cores lowered to around 1080 that might be my issue
4056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v5.0 on: November 15, 2016, 06:14:05 AM
@Claymore

Please adjust the timing of when your devfee starts. As it is your miner starts the devfee after X amount of mining time. But if watchdog kicks in a restarts the miner, it restarts the devfee countdown. This means that when a miner, your miner, has a problem it requeues the devfee to start well before an hour has past. To test it I "challenged" a card to ultimately fail so watchdog would restart. In 67 minutes your devfee started 4 times. The devfee needs to start at the END of an hour of mining, not a few minutes into it.

yeah ive seen this too

Factors of 1000 aside...it still seems like 13.5¢/kWh to me.

the coinwarz calculator is what i used to figure out the equivalent price per day with what I am paying for the 14000kwh , it comes to .20 c/kwh

Ok but you posted your power bill which was $1985. If you paid 20¢ per kWh on 14MWh, then your bill should have been $2800.

$1985 / 14650kWh = $0.135/kWh

I agree with you that number looks more realistic but on both whatamine and coinwarz have you list power in watts not KWH so thats where the discrepancy is youre right

either way its $65 per day in electricity costs

If in the US dont look at the rate you are actually paying for electricity check the ENTIRE bill with fees

yeah we choose our energy supplier one or twice a year and go with whoever is lowest. this time our supplier is in texas and we are in massachusetts. the delivery cost per kw is more than the supply cost per kw.

go figure..

How do you get an energy supplier different from the Company that has delivery rights where you are located in ? Xcel has the monopoly here I dont think its possible to switch
