4041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming BCH from BTC stored in Electrum and moving everything to Ledger Nano S on: November 29, 2020, 06:27:25 PM
Good thing that you know the fund should be transferred before you claim your BCH. Here is the guide from Electeum on how should you claim BCH. Also, choosing a hardware wallet like Ledger was the right decision. Just do not use your old seeds or private keys after claiming BCH from Electrum. Because you are going to input your seed/private keys to another wallet which is a fork of Electrum. Just create a new seed if still you want an Electrum wallet. Otherwise, you may use Ledger without hassle. Don't forget to keep safe your seed in multiple places and don't store it on any online/offline machine. Anyway, there is no issue if you move your funds into Ledger or any other wallet that you are holding the private keys.
4042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good advice Here About Main coins btc and eth Trading as full income on: November 29, 2020, 06:12:18 PM
Nothing new, do you believe it would work as you describe? According to you, if follow this step then no one will lose. But I don't think it's possible. Remember, when you are selling a coin then someone is buying on the other end, same as when you are buying, someone selling on the other end. If someone buys on 'red' and the coin does not bounce back for a longer then you have to lose. Otherwise, you have to wait for long as well which would consider as HODL. Rather, if you buy in green and you on the green with small profits then it would be better. For both tradings, you should have a good experience. Because most newbies traders have been losing their funds due to lack of enough experience and experienced traders getting advantage of it.
4043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please help - Ledger deducted btc and sent to 2nd unknown address?? on: November 29, 2020, 06:00:37 PM
As others said, you shouldn't worry. BTC should exist on change address. If you are unaware of the change address then you may read this thread, What is "Change" address on bitcoin wallet? read to know. As I had encountered, Ledger Live sometimes can't be synchronized due to weak connectivity. Make sure your Ledger Live is up to date.

In addition, be careful from scammers if incase someone PM you to recover your BTC. If so, then just report to admin for unsolicited PM's.
4044  Other / Meta / Re: Help unban account on: November 29, 2020, 03:30:08 PM
btw I also don't find any worth to recover the account with 16 activity and red trusted. Smiley
It's worth it if OP wants to use this forum. Because OP isn't allowed to create a new account. Doesn't matter red trust, it will not prevent using and posting on this forum. Most probably OP wants to avoid ban evasion.

@OP, if the account is under control of you, then recover your account first by following the above instructions. Then if incase your account exists with the ban then write the correct reason to unban your account. Most probably you will get a solution.
4045  Economy / Reputation / Re: Avoid dealing with these sellers on: November 29, 2020, 12:42:21 PM
My mistake, yet the lesson learnt. He won't get away I've got his information and shared it with cybercrim devision in his country.
Even though you shared with the cybercrime, but it's quite complicated to recover your funds. It's gone whatever you sent to him, cryptocurrency isn't reversible. Surprisingly, you are warning others now, but you hadn't obeyed the warnings by DT members. Lots of similar threads have been created on the forum, but sadly, no one is hearing the warning.

Anyway, sorry for your loss.

4047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: November 28, 2020, 05:24:21 PM
Isn't bitcoin in front of us and we are using it regularly? So how it would be anonymous? We can say Bitcoin creator is anonymous. We don't know who is behind that, still, they are anonymous. Bitcoin codes or transaction details aren't anonymous means Bitcoin isn't anonymous itself. But as a user, if you want to use it anonymously, then you can use it. If you care about your privacy then no one can reveal you but you should know all the technical things how you can use anonymously. It fully depends on you how you are going to hide yourself to stay anonymous.
4048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the biggest issue for beginners ? on: November 28, 2020, 04:44:21 PM
I am assuming you are talking about the crypto sphere, not about the forum. What I realize from my experience, the biggest issue for a beginner in crypto is a lack of technological knowledge. Beginners have been thinking they can make easy money from crypto, and due to lack of knowledge, eventually they fall into many issues like hack & scams. If we invite someone in crypto then we should teach them a few basic knowledge about crypto how it works. Even beginners don't know which is crypto wallets where they could keep safe their funds. Many beginners think that blockchain and coinbase is an only crypto wallet. That's the reason I think lack of crypto knowledge is the main issue for a beginner.
4049  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live Update on: November 28, 2020, 03:48:50 PM
I had the same question. The Ledger software had been asking for an update, instead of click on the update button I directly reinstall the software again from Ledger official website. Then it was fine, but after a few days again asking for an update. Still, I didn't update, I was worried about what happened with Electrum users. But I believe there are very few chances to hack Ledger software. Anyway, I like to stay safe, I would like to reinstall the software by confirming the original website/source.

Welcome to the forum. I don't know who has recommended you to join this forum. But he gave you misinformation about this forum. It's not any money earning site from where you can earn instantly. This forum is dedicated to crypto-related discussion. Besides that, some companies offer bounty or Signature campaigns. That's how a few users earning from here. But it's just a passive income besides discussion. If you have good skills in cryptocurrency, then perhaps you sell your skill here.

Here is an important thread that would help you. GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread. Use the search button if you need to know anything. Because there are so many existing threads that would be helpful for you and related to your search.
4053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason for calling Bitcoin scam on: November 27, 2020, 05:13:00 PM
People who say Bitcoin is a scam means they are not aware of its technology or they are jealous of Bitcoin. We don't know if they are holding Bitcoin or not since it's impossible to determine who is the owner of an address. There would be many opinions when you discover new things, Bitcoin is still new for many peoples who joined late or who hear late. For now, I don't think any opinion would stop Bitcoin. Because more people loving Bitcoin than haters. So, just ignore haters and believe what you are seeing.
4054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Police Seize 1% of Bitcoin’s Total Supply on: November 27, 2020, 04:56:34 PM
1% of the total Bitcoin supply is really a big amount. I can't believe that, is there any other source of that news? It's quite complicated to determine if it's positive for Bitcoin. But I have to admit, it's good for whole crypto communities. It's because at least a big Ponzi scammer's fund has been seized by police. If it's true, means that fund is under the control of governments. If happen a massive sell then it would be a negative impact on Bitcoin price. Who knows, if the current dump of Bitcoin happened due to this news?
4055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit & Difficulties 😑 on: November 27, 2020, 03:08:10 PM
Again merit threads. Do you know how many threads have created about how to earn merits? You didn't notice it, it's because you aren't active in the general section except the bounty section. Most probably that is one of the reasons why you aren't getting merits. You would earn merits on your bounty post and it shouldn't. All higher rank uses spreading their merits on the good post, not on the bounty post
So you can't expect merits on such posts.

You aren't reading other's posts and not participating in the constructive discussion. So how merit senders will notice your post? Doesn't matter if higher ranks user not sending merits, many merit sources would merit you if you contribute to the forum. Can I ask you to show some of your contribution thread if any? Perhaps we are missing, so let us know to take a look.

To be honest you don't really need merits for participants on the bounty campaign. There is may bounty campaign where had not been asking for the merits.
4056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its your fault if you end up losing your funds on: November 26, 2020, 05:16:28 PM
No doubts, I am responsible for my funds, either earn or lost. Google reviews and downloads could be manipulated. I can't recall, but I have seen a few numbers of apps paying for the download. It's one kind of campaign we can say. That's how they increase reviews and download a well. Actuality scammers are very smart, and they know how should they scam us. We have to be more careful when we are going to deal with our cryptocurrency. Shouldn't download anything on the device if we aren't familiar with any apps. Doesn't matter either it's a cryptocurrency wallet or something else. Any apps at any time would attack our device. We can save our assets just by using common sense.
4057  Other / Meta / Re: Why isn't trust visible on every board? on: November 26, 2020, 05:02:57 PM
I think this subject has been discussed previously. My thought was the same previously, but some of the replies convinced me. For example, every section isn't related to trading, so those boards aren't financially related, then visible trust isn't so important. Even a red-tagged user would participate in constructive discussion, and all the negative feedback probably wouldn't 100% accurate. When a few users will see a post by a red-tagged user then they would ignore it, especially those who are newbies. Most probably that's the reason why the trust system isn't visible everywhere.
4058  Other / Meta / Re: Vote for the community!!! on: November 26, 2020, 02:28:25 PM
Crime shouldn't moderate by a voting system, even a democratic country doesn't release criminals by the voting system. Those account has banned, they are related to some shady activities like plagiarism that is treating as a crime on the forum. But yes, moderators sometimes unban a few account bases on the contributions, not by the voting system. If you think any users banned wrongly or he/she was a good contributor for the forum, then create a thread why do you think that account should be banned.
4059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the government accept it? on: November 26, 2020, 07:10:26 AM
The world is moving forwards to digitalization. Peoples have been using digital currency without a banking system even they aren't familiar with cryptocurrency. For example, there is much mobile banking where you don't need to carry paper money, and you can use that digital currency everywhere the same as paper money. I think we aren't too far when peoples will use cryptocurrency for daily needs. It would be or wouldn't be Bitcoin, government would create their own cryptocurrency backed by fiat. I don't know if we will live up to that time, but as a part of global mobilizations, the digital currency would role the world.

User: notblox1
Thread link: [Exposed SCAMS] by notblox1
Section: Scam Accusation board.
Description: Scam List.

It seems notblox1 has 480 merits currently when I am writing that post. But he has enough activity to become a Hero Member. This means he needs more 20 merits to achieve a new rank. As far as I know, he is a good contributor to the forum especially exposing a few scams. That's why I listed the above-exposed scam list by him. Hope someone from a merit source will take a look at who has enough source merits. I am out of source merits now, have some earned smerits from where I sent 3 to the above post.
