Hmm, thanks. Bitstamp went only as high as 988, and I bought back in at 985. I warned you guys, that I was going all-BTC overnight, so you had ample time to sell!  So, currently there are no news to justify a fall, right? No need to sell for me. I'll try out my new strategy: hold when in doubt, sell only at the start of a sharp move down. Until I cashed out my profits, I was tending to think in terms of dollars, now, I am looking after that BTC value. If the number of BTC I own grows, even if their total value in $ goes down short-term, I am happy. |

Woa! Bough back in, when I saw it starting to rally at a minute loss. (Sold earlier today when the price was going nowhere.)
Managed to execute a perfect trade on the rebound 964->955 to recover the loss from the previous "bored-out-of-my-mind" sell.
Now, I am ready for 1200 on Bitstamp!

Bwaahaha..  Nah.. seriously.. i was glad to have work to do today, because it was pretty boring in truth. It's not funny man!!! It's a critical choice for us in Greece! Our all-knowing government (and the EU along with it) are at the brink of completely banning commuting!!!   How, huh? What? I like to think I'm usually informed about European politics (EU uber alles! jk.), but what is this about? How can anyone "ban" commuting? Or are they cutting commuting subsidies? Care to explain? (I have friends in Greece I could ask, but I'm too lazy to write ) It's 1.63 per liter of gasoline here, or $8.44 per gallon of it! Do you need more explanation? €1.63? Sold at $1228. Bought at $610. Sold at $950. Why didn't I wait to sell higher? That's a bad question. The good question is why did you decide to sell at $1228 and not lower? Why would I have sold lower? I sold before the initial burst when it went to $900 - I got out about 15 minutes before it burst at $770. I bought back in at about $700 and sold before the burst again at $1228. It was obviously not going higher, so why let my profits disappear? Are you my antimatter twin? |

No, buy I bought back in earlier today at 940 because the trend seemed to indicate UP, that turned out to be a local top (no surprise there). As long as I hold and don't sell at a loss, the prices will go down. See you at 200, guys. I am waiting for the day you will come here and post saying your play money has gone to 0 Thank you for the vote of confidence. In the meantime, be sure to do the exact opposite of what I do, and if it helps you give me a small tip. That should help me remain in business of making crappy trades for a little longer. I am unable to see anything interesting in the big four exchanges. Gox and Btc-e are drifting, Stamp showing a few ups and downs, Cny just had some activity, but all of it is on relatively slim volume. Everyone seems to be waiting. For *something*.
Think I'll pour a large egg nog, heavy on the nog, and wait with the rest.
i think alot of people missed the multiple 15-25% drops that happened last week, and think "hell, i wont miss another one whatever I do" and just wait. Bid side of the order book on Bitstamp looks thin. I can't understand why the price stays up - nothing's supporting it. And that wall at 900 has been looming there for the whole day. Is someone waiting for funds so as to snatch almost 700 coins in front of the wall, before pulling it?
Didn't you buy in? Or have you sold again? Sold at a small loss, didn't like being trapped against a wall. Placed a few spread buy orders down into 700-s It probably means the price will rally soon beyond 900. Oh, and I cashed out all my initial investments in BTC and mining equipment, plus a small bonus on top of that. That felt incredibly good. I feel much calmer, and the nagging feeling of fear deep down is gone. It's purely for fun from now and onwards. Dammit - why did you sell? I sold earlier (roughly similar to your initial sell point, but on Btc-e) and was wondering whether to buy when you bought. Now you had to go ahead and sell again and mess it all up  IMO, just stick to your guns now. At this rate even if you make some profit trade at some point it will come to nothing. Nice to hear you cashing out and enjoying. Far too many people in here are waiting for the big prize and missing out on all the benefits money could have them right now. There was this guy who cashed out millions, paid his mortgages and virtually retired. Wonderful to know that I am leading other trades by example, provided my trade decisions are multiplied by -1 I am sticking to my current somewhat bearish overnight orders. And when I wake up, please, none of that $100 up nonsense I've been getting these past 3 days. Right? Right?During these past days I made a few smaller trades that I didn't broadcast, and all I had to show was a wreck ball of nerves and a grand net of almost zero, with a minute pus sign. |
