4061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your trust rating for projects that do not have ANN thread on this forum on: December 23, 2021, 01:03:00 PM
Does making an ANN topic increase trust rating for projects? SCAM is not modulated here, but the good point is the activity of many expert people who report it, based on their questions and responses that you get.

In short, a project that creates an ANN topic here and gets reviews from many trusted users with accurate answers is not a scam project, but it is difficult to guarantee that it will not turn into scam or is a profitable project.

You confuse altcoins with ICOs. Good altcoins with strong fundamentials like BNB (Phenomenon of BNB (Fundamental analysis BNB/USD)) are here for years and are not going anywhere.

BNB is a good altcoin??? BNB is a central coin that have price based on trust in Binance, and therefore it is more dangerous than paper money because it is not backed by anthing except an anonymous company.

Despite that, it is better (in terms of price) than scam/unknown coins, but it is not an altcoin.
4062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $NIL $BABYFB and $M31 on: December 23, 2021, 12:29:28 PM
Red is not always a good indicator to buy. You should do the following:

 - Zoom out.
 - Make sure the price hasn't gone crazy.
 - Make sure that there is a reason for the price to rise.

Otherwise, you will either lose a large portion of your money (the most likely possibility) or you will not make a profit (the best possibility).

It is always good altcoins that have not reached the top for a while and there has been real development for them while maintaining a good bottom.
4063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Project Crypto/Nft OnlyFans on: December 23, 2021, 11:50:39 AM
We are currently working on everything
We try as soon as possible
Isn't it wrong to try to promote a product that is not available? I don't know, but it is unprofessional and may lead (if not lead) to inaccurate results.
In general, I do not think that OnlyFans NFT tokens will be a successful thing because they can use central channels and get more profits.

Generally, you should lock your topic and make sure that everything works with the official channels and then you can start promoting.
4064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning interest on bitcoin without giving up your keys on: December 23, 2021, 11:36:16 AM
During BTC's mini-capitulation event where BTC price dropped almost $10K in an hour down to $42K, we saw 12 out of our 26 users (and the 1.4 BTC they invested) experience their first downside protection trigger. This led to them losing 6.1% on their BTC balance invested in the recurring strategy.
Why did they describe those amounts that were deposited as invested and not money that was kept? If you own the private key, this means that you own it, not invest it.
In general, it seems that the model is similar to trading in stock exchanges, where losses are stopped when a certain percentage exceeds, for example, 10% and so on, but in general, the phrase “without giving up your keys” is not accurate.
4065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A supermarket in Mexico now allows Bitcoin payments for all their items on: December 23, 2021, 11:04:43 AM
The supermarket is using Bitpay, you can pay with any wallet you want.
If the store accepts digital payments by Bitpay, the goal may be to move away from the inflation of the local currency by obtaining the dollar in the bank account, not the Bitcoin itself.
Bitpay's transfers are made by depositing money into your bank account and then it may be an indirect way to transfer money to them instead of the traditional methods.

I don't know but if they want to keep the bitcoin hiring a tech developer who will set up a payment channel using BTCPay Server would be better.
4066  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Send faxes anywhere in the world with lightning! on: December 23, 2021, 10:45:41 AM
Based on the privacy page, I can quote the following:

Quote
Faxes are sent by a third party who will have access to the original uploaded document and destination number.

So the data is shared with an unknown third party and therefore it is not known how to deal with it.
Therefore, I do not think that the files will be destroyed or there is no way to be 100% sure.

Will the IP address be logged because according to this quote it is not mentioned?

Quote
It is always up to you whether to disclose your data to us. Bitcoin Fax collects:

Fax documents
Fax numbers
Bitcoin transaction identifiers

Finally, the service is a gateway that accepts payments in Bitcoin and processes them to a third party, right?
4067  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Send SMS all around the world with lightning! on: December 23, 2021, 10:08:10 AM
I did not understand the point of the project, does it look like a paid spam service? Huh

It would be fine if you could get a phone number from a country, receive messages, send messages, or buy a phone number using the Lightning network or make payments through it, but sending a message from a random number doesn't sound like a good idea.

On the site it is mentioned that the IP address will be registered, when will it be disposed of? What about the phone number? Will it be disposed of or will it be used in the future for spam?
4068  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitoff.io,Earn crypto without KYC& LIMMITAIONS with spend gift cards and credit on: December 23, 2021, 09:49:23 AM
That makes sense if they outsourcing their customer service. But one more weird thing i found is the registrar data of the domain state the registrant is located on French (according to https://who.is/whois/bitoff.io). I wouldn't say this website is scam, but there are many weird things and i wouldn't use this service even if it's available on my country.

The strange thing is that they are trying to provide financial security services (escrow) and receive customer money, yet they do not have any legal records and there is no policy for how customer data is used.

I agree with you, it is better to avoid using them because their question section has a lot of information in detail, yet it ignores this basic data.

Anyway, the site has been running since 2018 and they only have less than 10 reviews[1]. Cheesy

4069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would anyone be able to trace a coin through the following transactions? on: December 22, 2021, 03:43:52 PM
Sometimes you are not tracked in this way, but in a smarter way, it all depends on who wants to track you and how much resources to be wasted to track you. For example, if a dangerous person is required and a government (like the United States) wants to track him and is ready to spend all the necessary resources, everything is possible.

let's look at other ways:

 - Keep track of your cookies.
 - Track the IP address from any CEXs and then the IP address if you use any explorer who can access his data. (Block explorers give a lot of information about you)
 - Try to find out all your addresses using them Electrum servers.
 - Send dust amount to your address (you have to use coin control feature to avoid it)
 - Social tracking ( using your IP and KYC data they can get more info from twitter, facebook, your iPhone, …etc)
4070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto.com Predicts 1 Billion Global Crypto Users in 2022! on: December 22, 2021, 03:25:07 PM
The only thing they can calculate is the number of people who have pass KYC and then the number of Crypto Users in 2022, and both metrics are inaccurate.
In general, if they say 10 Billion users, who will investigate them or try to falsify this news.
Perhaps all this talk was an attempt to pump the price and therefore it is possible to understand them under the promotional plans.
4071  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitoff.io,Earn crypto without KYC& LIMMITAIONS with spend gift cards and credit on: December 22, 2021, 03:02:29 PM
It reminds me of purse.io which also offered up to 30% discount. But there's one weird thing i found, Bitoff is located on UK (according to https://bitoff.io/support), but their service is limited on US online shop.

There is no legal information about them and I did not find many details. Therefore, I do not think that they are in the United Kingdom. Rather, it is the location of their support service, and the reason for the country’s mention is that it specified the times for receiving requests and did not mention timezone.

Hours
Mon - Sat: 08:00am - 17:00pm
Sunday: off

The problem is that they provide escrow service and therefore they should be trusted 100%. I wonder why they did not mention their legal information and how to share customer data.
4072  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coin.space wallet and embedded changelly - Problem Solved, everything is good. on: December 22, 2021, 02:30:52 PM
Please accept our sincere apologies for the misunderstanding we might have caused before!
We are working on the case right now and will keep you emailed to notify you of the updates.
Did you get your money at the same exchange rate or was the price different? Unfortunately, Changelly does not have a good reputation, and the use of a built-in exchange inside the wallet increases the problems because you are using a third party that use another third part to make exchanges and therefore it is better to do it directly or avoid Changelly at all.

The reason for my question is that I have a friend who had a similar problem and it was resolved with a different exchange rate than the previous one.
4073  Other / Archival / Re: BitMEX - BMEX Token Launch, Airdrop and Spot Trading on: December 22, 2021, 02:19:10 PM
Bitmex also arranges an airdrop for old and new users. You need to register before February 1, 2022, and also go through KYC, and then you will receive 5 BMEX and 10 USDT.
I don't know, but the idea of Airdrop is to take advantage of features that others can't take advantage of, such as that you try a new platform at some point and the users who tested during that period will be rewarded with not allowing existing users (UniSwap token.)

Quote
1 billion UNI tokens have been minted in total, with 60% allocated over four years to Uniswap community members. 15% of UNI [150,000,000 UNI] can be claimed now by past Uniswap liquidity providers, users, and SOCKS redeemers/holders. (Only those who used Uniswap before 1st September 2020 are eligible)

But what happens above is getting your data in exchange for an unknown monetary value, so that if the platform succeeds, that value will increase, else you will get 10 dollars, which is less than the 25 dollars offered by many digital financial services.

4074  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KYC and Beard, asking for a friend. on: December 22, 2021, 11:47:21 AM
So is there any other brother going trough that Binance discrimination hell ? Peaceful solutions?
I do not think that shaving the beard or trying to make it look like a passport photo will be a solution to this problem, but there is an easy solution and a difficult one:

 - Easy solution: contact the support team to do KYC manually and after explaining things, they may be able to bypass the identity verification.
 - Difficult solution: Request to renew the passport photo by requesting a new one, I do not know how the procedures are carried out in your country, but here it is easy and it takes up to 3 days at the most and you will get a new one.

If there is no option, some countries allow this if your passport is lost or a coffee falls on it, and so on.
4075  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Visa Partners With 60 Crypto Platforms to Let Consumers Spend Digital Currency on: December 22, 2021, 11:29:54 AM
It is a summary of what they have done recently, which is a positive thing, but it does not mean that Visa has an official orientation regarding cryptocurrencies. For example, the real change will be:

 - Provide an option for users to pay with Bitcoin/Altcoins using all Visa cards.
 - Providing the possibility of opening a crypto account for all stores, where it is possible to deposit, withdraw or transfer it into fiat.
 - Opening a direct payment of small amounts without the need to verify identity (the buyer's party) for all websites that accept Visa card.
 - The possibility of Visa to withdraw cryptocurrencies with the role of providing the network and guaranteeing transactions.

All of these changes will express the company's policy towards Bitcoin and not, as is currently happening, "the expansion of crypto-related services."
4076  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How then should he his $300,000 collect? on: December 21, 2021, 03:47:00 PM
Let's think more outside the box.

It varies according to your state, your BTC options and how the tax laws, anti-money laundering.

In my country, individuals' accounts are checked. It is true that the bank will not freeze your account when 300k deposited, but it will be included in suspicious accounts. so You should check all of these rules first.

As for thinking outside the box to exchange $ 300,000 Bitcoin to cash or money in your bank account, here requires things related to Bitcoin, for example:

 - Buying a car with bitcoin: buying a car is good because you can move around in it and therefore you can buy it, pay with bitcoin and then sell it.
 - Establishing a platform to sell digital products: I don't know, but you may need to spend 20,000 on marketing and other services.
 - Buying and selling phones: Once again, the import and export laws must be reviewed.
4077  Economy / Services / Re: Translators Wanted - Payment in BTC, ETH or DAI on: December 21, 2021, 03:30:30 PM
Are you ready to put money in escrow? How to pay? before doing the work or after? Will the details of all translators involved be posted publicly (to guarantee all rights if problems occur)?

Communication via e-mail is good, but it is better to put payment in escrow, you post an excel file ( Spreadsheet with the list of participants and addresses) and then you can be trusted.

We are looking for resources who are fluent English speakers who can translate English words and simple sentences to native Korean, Indonesian, Japanese, Turkish, Chinese, Russian, German, Vietnamese, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish
If you give more details, I may be interested in translating into Arabic.
4078  Economy / Economics / Re: It been said about usa economy many times now its here on: December 18, 2021, 08:16:39 PM
If the US economy collapses, all economies in the world will collapse, just as the United States does not need its currency linked to gold to be the global reference, but will impose it in other ways.

Dont be stubborn listen people who knows its been said many times that BIDEN goverment will cut off the printer brrrrr...as Biden is not a money printer guy.
Huh Huh Frankly, I did not understand what you are saying here. In general, the Federal Reserve will start changing its plans quickly. By the month of March, bond purchases may be reduced, but this does not mean that printing money will stop because the inflation will not be seasonal and may continue for several years.

Inflation may reach 13% and some countries of the world will be 20%, and therefore it is better to search for solutions such as buying stocks, gold, Bitcoin and others.

4079  Economy / Economics / Re: How far is bitcoin from full adoption (100% mass adoption)? on: December 18, 2021, 07:32:32 PM
Adoption is a function that changes with time and the speed of change represents the percentage of adoption globally. For example, the percentage of adoption of electric cars may have increased, although sales of regular cars are still higher, but if it continues at the same rate, changes will occur in a short period.

We can compare the adoption of bitcoin as the internet did in 1997 and we'll notice that adoption was faster for reasons like infrastructure, which we'll compare to things like Google, Netflix, Apple, and Tesla.

So based on the charts above, the adoption rate should not be 100% to say that Bitcoin adoption is on the rise.

Note that adoption rates in Africa are still very low.
4080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: exchangers with market price on: December 18, 2021, 07:15:24 PM
I don't think I understood you exactly, but let's assume the following:

 - You want the user to get a price to sell at the moment without placing an order.
 - The user places the buy/sell order inside the pool and thus it will be fulfilled when the specified limit is reached.

Both options are available on many platforms under different names.
Some platforms call it direct exchange, Instant exchange, Fixed rate, Floating rate, some call it beginners trading, some are P2P and others.
But most platforms contain these features.

Some have different types of accounts like trading account, P2P account,...etc.
