4061  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Graphics cards locking up - why so randomly? on: April 02, 2012, 03:35:06 PM
Sometimes it is also connected to the core:mem clock ratio, I had cards which were stable at slightly higher clocks than in lower.
4062  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BAMT version 0.5 - Easy USB based mining Linux with farm wide management tools on: April 01, 2012, 12:11:12 PM
I still have problems that bamt looses network connection after some time. The lease time is not over. Also i have set up the ip adress to the mac in the dhcp server.
Anyone an idea? I have tested many different router and problem is still there.

Different network card?

Mine are onboard.

I mean you could try using a different (PCI or PCIe) network card and see if it helps. If you have time you can try if the same problem happens on windows.

Looking for a cheap datacenter in central Poland to house my rigs, can pay for 6 months in advance after a 7-day trial period.
Few squared meters and up to a few thousand kWh per month is all I need.
4066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Armory Crowdfunding Finished! $4K Raised! on: March 28, 2012, 05:19:13 PM
4000 dollars in one month? wow, didn't know anyone could get so much money from donations in so little time in such a niche field as a bitcoin wallet application.
Congrats!
4067  Economy / Services / Re: Who wants a 23 GH/s mining contract?! on: March 28, 2012, 01:00:43 PM
P2Pool. Wink

don't urinate where you chlorinate.

i'd buy this contract for a much bigger discount... but otherwise not worth the risk of difficulty going up, etc.

So, someone with a low post count claims that they purchased it and it is high quality... but is unwilling to respond to any skepticism?

Is it just me or does it seem like maxkoda is a sockpuppet or friend of SoveriegnInvestor?

+1

I'm not buying anything form Sovereign Investor unless I have proof the stuff he is selling is legit.

So far I have no reason no perceive him as a credible person, he doesn't even seem to be able to do something as simple as I wrote in this post to dispel the doubts:

Shocked The drama!

@Everyone..My apologies for some of the hostility last night.  But as you saw from Shakaru's responses, I have no option but to be very direct.  There is always a delay, and it takes direct force to get him to reply.    Angry  And at this point I feel all correspondence needs to be conducted here for conformity.

I see you know him personally, do you think you would be able to extract (doesn't matter much how) the money from shakaru? I'd be willing to part with 15% of my debt, if everyone agreed, you could earn over 3250 dollars (more if the price of BTC increases).
4070  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Undervolting 69XX series on: March 26, 2012, 12:03:54 PM
I have a box with 2x6990 and 1x6970 on stock BIOS, running at:
500MHz core / 450MHz memory @ 1.0V for the 6990s
500/400 @1.0V on the 6970

1120MH/s - 480W at the wall.  Oh, and having fans running below 40% is nice!  Smiley

There is another small voltage step to 0.95V if you drop all the way down to 275/150, but I saw not reason to run that low.

At such a low clocks you should be able to reduce the voltage much, much more.
Not sure which software will work though without BIOS flash but you can give a try to all the tools available.
For me barelyclocked works well for undervolting/overvolting all cards.

HD 6770 - works 24/7 stable @ 775/180 with 0.82V (stock was 775/1000 and 1.125V). This way temperatures decreased by 27C (the card is in a very hot place).
4071  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The magic of mtgox and international banking system.. on: March 24, 2012, 03:03:43 AM
If your account is in EUR doesn't your bank support SEPA transfers, they are usually around 1.25€.
4072  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Just unlocked my 6950's shaders! on: March 24, 2012, 12:11:50 AM
Hey all, to much excite, I just 'un-castrated' my 6950. If you haven't heard, it is still possible on new cards.

I just wanted you all to know that it is possible to unlock the shaders. The shader clocks are still locked (As of now).

You need RBE and WinFlash. Using Winflash, acquire your 6950's bios. In RBE, edit it to unlock the shaders, and re download.

I've seen about a 20 mh/s increase, and may get more.

Is this a 2 GB model?

4076  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: A journey of extreme watercooling: Cooling a rack of GPU servers without AC. on: March 23, 2012, 02:25:40 PM
I am planning on eventually overvolting them slightly but that requires a bios flash.  I think 900/150 @ 1.125V should be possible which should give me 3.2 GH/s per rig.

You sure it is worth to overvolt considering the extra power draw?

looks nice btw
4077  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7870 and 7850 are here! Anyone bought yet? on: March 23, 2012, 02:14:55 PM
to 1050 core (stock 860 on one 975 on the other) with stock memory (1200) and stock voltage (1.138). I'm getting 300Mh out of each with a
Calculated mhs for 7850 @1050 for diablominer is 311mhs. 300 seems ok.

Quote
110 of that is the system itself so Mh/W right now for the cards alone is 3.27.
110? May be you wrong... I have i7-2600k@4.2 + P67 + 8GB +SSD +HDD and total system power on Windows IDLE is 54W from wall (80 gold+ PSU) of course WITHOUT installed videocards.

Depends on the drivers'/miners' cpu usage and the mobo and cpu themselves.
4078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dareq = Scammer on: March 23, 2012, 01:55:24 AM
I have gathered some information about him, you might find it interesting/useful.
I don't like him one bit because of people like him my compatriots abroad are often falsely associated with scamming so I decided to share some info, not much, but it might be helpful. I will update this post when I find more info.
Sources: mostly google, bitcointalk.org posts, forum.bitcoin.pl posts, Tor forum posts where he tried selling Bitcoins and hardware for PP, BTC and wire transfer.

Uncovered IP address: 91.221.214.191
Users on the tor forum found out his ISP is JMT Elektronika Marek Wensierski (via VOLTA-AS Volta Communications Sp.z.o.o. with ASN number 39816 located in Banino 80-297 on Mazowiecka 6 and Klonowa 25, it is close to Gdansk (Danzig) in northern part of Poland. It is a small 2^9 IP network.
Coverage of his ISP: http://gdzienet.pl/preview/jmt

On their website they say they deliver Internet services (over fiber and licensed/unlicensed radio freqs) to following locations:
Gdańsk Osowa
Banino
Barniewice
Czaple
Chwaszczyno
Rębiechowo
Pępowo
Małkowo

He listens to rap - RPK and Ten Typ Mes (lyrics in his signatures' posts on onion forums).
His rap song (?) on someone's wrzuta account (female friend I think): http://askas.wrzuta.pl/audio/0NQI91GIJkN/dareq_-_pierwsze_spojrzenie

Dareq who also goes by a nickname Bago is a Pole residing in Poland or UK (once contacted him and was told he ships from UK and he seems to be quite fluent in English and it's not so common in Poland)
He frequently used/uses his hotmail account: tentypmes@hotmail.com
and on Tor: bago@tormail.net
It is possible he did not secure himself when connecting to hotmail because he gets angry when someone reveals his identity on Tor.

It is possible his firstname is Dariusz (Darek is a diminutive), because it is not uncommon for Poles to replace 'k' with 'q' in their online identities so be careful when searching through the deep web and clear net for his nickname.

I think he is 18 or 19 years old but I need to check it.

This might be his another account but I am verifying it now:

A quite a few items are related to scuba diving, skiing, and network stuff in bulk qt, if you want to see more use a google translator unless you understand Polish and use this site to see archived auctions:
http://archiwumallegro.pl/szukaj/

Next to the date of each item he bought/sold with his allegro account there is a number, copy that and paste at the above website to see what was the item.
With that you may learn a bit about him.

But remember he could be using a stolen identity all the time, VPN, someone else's PC, etc.

More around the end of the month, I am really busy recently.
