4061  Economy / Speculation / Re: The next bubble could well surprise even the early traders... on: April 07, 2015, 04:45:12 PM
Yeah, I think one of the biggest advantages we now have may be the sheer mass of people with a lot of money lying around watching Bitcoin to see if it bubbles again at some point. If it does, they will enter. Just wait for a trend-reversal...

what's the point of waiting when you can enter now at $250 instead of buying bitcoin once a bubble is in the making.
people will end up buying at much higher price. best is buy now and be ready for it once it happens.
4062  Economy / Economics / Re: Wondering if Mayweather vs Pacquaio will affect bitcoin price on: April 07, 2015, 04:38:19 PM
it won't have an impact on the price. not sure why people think it might as there is nothing major going to happen.
4063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe the blockchain in one sentence on: April 07, 2015, 04:31:40 PM
i see it as an innovation that has the potential to change our currently much dated financial system.
4064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much is the Bitcoin Foundation worth ? on: April 07, 2015, 04:25:18 PM
They are a part of bitcoin core development, so it sucks to see them like this, it would be best that lets say 10% of the transaction fees go to them, but
that would mean a centralisation of some sort, and we all know how you guys react to that..
If they get donations, like they should from big bitcoin companies that also depend on them, they should be fine, but donations are a temp fix, so i still think that % of the transaction fees is the best way to go.

cheers

Better yet, let's just redesign Bitcoin to pay a percentage of the block reward to TBF forever and lock the reward amount at 25 btc.

Dude, you can't be serious about the transaction fees, right?

Instead of letting people donate to the Bitcoin Foundation so they can pay the core devs why not cut out the middle man and let people donate directly to the core devs?

it's all about money. they want a bit of everything. if i was ever going to donate some bits it would definitely not go to the foundation.
it's pure show and pocket filling.
4065  Other / Meta / Re: how long does it take to get to full member status? on: April 06, 2015, 06:56:29 PM
You will get the full posts 14 points for every period you posted in so if you posted in three fortnightly periods over six weeks you would get 42 points. You could make one post in each period giving you 3 activity points then make 39 posts and then you would get the 42.

what if you buy an account from 2011 is it possible to gain back the activity points and become hero or legendary?
4066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Houston I think we have a problem on: April 06, 2015, 06:32:46 PM
This market is at an all time low because of you. It is all good though, if we want to be better than gold we have our work cut out for us. Stop fucking around , it is time and you know it. start the crypto rev NOW...........

all time low? I think you need to smoke less weed or just view a better chart and click on all time. that might help.
4067  Economy / Economics / Re: Was Bitcoin actually just a Pump and Dump? on: April 06, 2015, 06:26:57 PM
No. If this was the case Satoshi would have dumped his coins and bought his own island by now. That's not to say he wont dump them in the future but there's always the risk.

How do you know Satoshi still holds his coins???  Grin
Apparently someone traced the coins thought blockchain.info... even tho its impossible to know because exchange addresses are randomly generated so i dont get it.

people can only guess. but if he really hold the coins from the early days then they will cause major panic if these coins start moving.
4068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust yourself to manage your own private keys? on: April 06, 2015, 01:06:49 PM
trusting yourself shouldn't be a problem. bitcoin is about being your own bank. we don't need services to store value as we can do it ourself. there are so many secure options to store your coins offline in a safe place.
4069  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello Is there any genuine Bitcoin Multiplier ? on: April 06, 2015, 11:58:54 AM
sad enough there are many newbies downloading these scam apps via torrent sites and find out their bitcoin are gone after installing.
using common sense would help.
4070  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we cross the bearline in April? on: April 06, 2015, 11:55:07 AM
everytime it look like it is going up an exchange or bitcoin related service gets hacked and we're going down again.
i hope this time it will go up with no drama.
4071  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how about removing ALL computers on: April 05, 2015, 11:43:01 PM
i run currently 2 full nodes just to support bitcoin. the only person that can delete it is me. no one else.
the more people with active nodes the more decentralized it is.
4072  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is it possible??? on: April 05, 2015, 11:24:48 PM
Is it possible to mining BTCitcoin without any capital/asset?
If you can "borrow" your mate's computer to mine altcoin and then trade it into bitcoin, then yes, it's possible.  Grin

Day's of mining with CPU and GPU are really over.  In most cases it cost's more in electricity.

You really need to look into asics.  But it will take cash, you can't do it with no assets.  You could also buy direct but again takes money

aren't the mining days over for most of the people at home. even if you buy asics then the question will be : how long will it take before i break even, if ever.

Well that depends on a lot of factors.. Price for electricity, using the miners for heating if you live in a cold climate. If you are a believer in that the BTC price will increase in the future.

for example here in europe it is impossible to do home mining as prices of everything are way too high. investing directly in btc seems a better option.
4073  Economy / Speculation / Re: Beginning of a reversal? on: April 05, 2015, 11:12:51 PM
returning to the previous pump(300)? or just the usual little mini pump of the weekend?

who know, but as long as the 200 barrier hold, i'm fine with the current situation, steady grow is always welcome

regarding the title i am referring to the larger bearish picture for 1+ years. Seeing signs that this last final wetbeardream push down to double digits may not actually take place.

the more we are heading towards 2016 the more the price will go up. it's not that hard to spot. block halving will surely have a decent impact at the price. i think there is around 100 to 150% to gain before we enter 2016
4074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin To Transform Argentina on: April 05, 2015, 04:18:16 PM
for the citizens in argentina bitcoin will be very welcome. but the government itself is corrupt and fully rotten from inside that they will simply ignore it. their priority is how can they fill their pockets as much as possible.
4075  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Neteller/Skrill Reversible Questions on: April 05, 2015, 04:14:18 PM
So basically dont ever accept neteller or skrill no matter what unless that person you are trading with is super reputable then?

for sure. all this is done to protect te buyer. but they simply don't think about the seller. even when dealing with a trusted member, then still it is not totally safe. especially if their account is hacked.
4076  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [2015] Need some advice on what exchanges are good (and safe)... on: April 05, 2015, 10:08:59 AM
i was using bitstamp but not anymore. i am now only using kraken as my exchange of choice.
it's fast and provides a btc/eur trading pair.
4077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dark Web Doc film. Great to watch! on: April 05, 2015, 10:05:16 AM
just watched half of the video and will watch other half later today. i don't use tor myself especially since it isn't as safe as some people claim it to be. especially the combination blockchain wallet and tor.
4078  Economy / Speculation / Re: The next 24 days are critical on: April 05, 2015, 02:55:09 AM
so, basically it means that the price will go either up or down. which is already the case without reviewing charts.
i'm only not so sure about the double digits. i have the feeling we will never see double digits ever again.
4079  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: April 05, 2015, 02:46:23 AM
I'll buy at anything below 100$. Bitcoin's nature is the future of currencies, can't be duped and the transfers time is just too quick.

If you believe Bitcoin is the future of currencies, why wait till it goes to below $100?  Wink
Now might be as good a time to buy as any other time.

i think it was just an example of what he would do if the price was below $100
i would exactly do the same. and yes, i am also buying now.
