4061  Economy / Economics / Re: How in the world we going to restart the world economy ? on: June 21, 2020, 07:05:24 PM
What terratory are you in? In the UK we only lost about 20% of the economy in March even due to lockdown (so enough people bought things and did things online while being off).. Most countries seemed to furlough people too so they did get "free" money from the government.

I don't think it should be up to a government to give away free money, maybe give money in exchange for efforts people have wput in to social distance, isolate or volunteer to help but you can't print enoghb money for everyone to start a company...
4062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now BTC Price will drop or up? on: June 21, 2020, 02:16:50 AM
I still fell like we should see another retest of 10-10.5k before any potential fall comes into play but I'm not entirely sure... We could see a drop further to 8.8k and then back up to this zone and just consolidate for a while too...
4063  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 20,000EUR, crypto as collateral on: June 20, 2020, 07:11:34 PM

Which DeFi platform would be best for this?

https://defipulse.com/ I'd start my search for a platform here. There are several different platforms you can use, all will have their ups and downs... The lowest rate to lend might not be the most secure nor may the most popular so I suggest you try to do some research and if you can check the codes on the smart contracts used to lock the funds.

Defis a pretty new sector, there's a chance your funds can get hacked but I've had €1200 in there for 131 days and it's still there...
4064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Something wrong with blockchain??? on: June 20, 2020, 05:46:42 PM
Your wallet is made up of main addresses and change addresses, it isn't just one address with the wallet (unless you've imported one address and added those constraints).

The funds from your wallet are probably in a change address instead of your main one.

Ps haven't used that other site so don't know but someone will have, have you tried searching it or looking at their faq?
4065  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucets (freebitco.in) on: June 19, 2020, 11:18:50 PM
There thread isnhere: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=319540.msg3419385#msg3419385

I can't find a contact address on their website but you can probably ask on the above link fine and they'll point you in the right direction.
4066  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Registering a MSB in Quebec, Canada on: June 19, 2020, 10:56:10 PM

I'll wait until Monday and if no one else came forward I'll interview her to make sure this isn't her first rodeo.
I'm sure she can do a good job and get me where i need to be, but maybe a blockchain lawyer could get me there faster.

I also received a very interesting email from the AMF : "Note that buying and selling crypto assets peer to peer (therefore, from one individual to another) is generally not subject to the Securities Act or the Money Services Business Act. It is still important to make sure of this and to consult a lawyer, if necessary, to make this determination.".

Kinda strange considering all the big players on localbitcoins in Canada are registered as an MSB. (Maybe they operate bitcoin atms too ?)

Yeah a few days shouldn't make too much difference. And yeah I didn't think you did but you might do.. And they could just be covering themselves in case they're considered a business as itll have some advantages (eg they're forced to separate their own and company funds)...
They might also have msb licensing to make themselves look a bit more serious but I don't know if thst would work or not if someone else still had a competitive rate...
4067  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucets (freebitco.in) on: June 19, 2020, 10:44:16 PM
I can't find their thread here but you can probably search for it and ask them...
Is the withdraw still on pending? Did you click the confirmation link in your email too?
4068  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This forum consisting of learned and disciplined members on: June 19, 2020, 10:09:17 PM
Yeah the merit system was brought in to make bitcointalk cleaner. You can't rank up to Jr member until you've been here for a few weeks anyway so you may as well just spend this time getting involved in what you want to discuss and what you came here for if you can find stuff that interests you.

It might take some time but your first merit is often a bit of a springboard to earning more - so don't try to focus on getting one just post what you feel contributes to discussion...
4069  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for Investors/sponsors/partners on: June 19, 2020, 10:01:55 PM
What are you going to buy for $500? You can probably afford a safe deposit box with that for 10 years I guess but it might not be greatly secure... If you have something costed out of people to look at you might be more likely to get something here but I think this idea already exists elsewhere so you might find you have a lot of competition.

Also don't diamonds come in different purities and looks, has this been taken into account?
4070  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 20,000EUR, crypto as collateral on: June 19, 2020, 08:26:08 PM
20% in Euro of Crypto value.

This is not clear at all.
Math tells that this 20% is not the interest.
Then what's that? 20k EUR is 20% of your crypto holdings worth, meaning that you plan to put on escrow crypto that today worth ~100k EUR?

Also the way the fiat is transferred needs to be also cleared up, but that would be the second point. First you have to prove you have plenty of collateral.

That's exactly what I mean. I put about 100k€ of crypto as collateral. Transfer as normal SEPA transfer. 100k in crypto just in case crypto price goes down.

Coins as collateral, 2BTC, 5000 Tezos, 80 ETH, some LTC and cardano, total price of all crypto in today's price 100k€.

Errr the tezos comes to €15k in xtz (round up)
€20k in eth
€20k in btc

You might be interested in looking at defi if you can't get anything here. The 5% interest rate seems quite low to try to long the euro but you might find someone who can take the deal... Defi interest has a rate of around 3% max.
4071  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Registering a MSB in Quebec, Canada on: June 19, 2020, 08:06:32 PM
Got a call from a lawyer that specialize in business, commercial and corporate law.
I think it would be best if i hired a blockchain lawyer like Stikeman Elliott or Montreal Tech Lawyer.
We'll see if i get a call from them.

If they're able to accept liability for their work then youll probably be fine going with them. They'll likely be insured if they mess up and you'll be able to claim off that any damages you have if necessary. You could wait it out a bit but I wouldn't leave a lawyer waiting too long it probably isn't a dissimilar asset from what they're used to if they've dealt in the financial industry.
4072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (BTC) was placed in the 12th place, with 106.2 points. on: June 19, 2020, 08:03:06 PM
Why would you include "creativity" in the rankings? Is this meaning originality instead? Like not producing the same thing as bitcoin but giving it a different name (like doge) for example where the algorithm just changed...

A simple way to do things is often the most practical..
4073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I import cryptocurrency prices in excel sheet? on: June 19, 2020, 02:40:10 AM
What coins are you after? I use investing.com to get bitcoin daily data normally every so often (they have weekly and monthly options). You just download as a csv and import into a spreadsheet. You could also try getting data from exchanges like coinbase if they have the facilities for it (not sure if they do or not)...,
4074  Economy / Securities / Re: Bitcoin with a CUSIP on: June 19, 2020, 02:29:19 AM
Is there an advantage to owning a cusip? I'd suggest not trusting another party with your funds if you can in this space as a bigger target is a bigger target and becomes easier to hit with more people aiming for it.

Are you trying to invest in something like a SIPP (of the US equivelant is the same as the UK) or a 401(k) with it?

You might have to wait for more regulation for something like that to appear, grayscale has quite a high markup (I don't know why you'd buy it)...
4075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is More Popular Than Traditional Banks on: June 19, 2020, 02:20:42 AM
I think I found an article relating to this: https://www.somagnews.com/trust-bitcoin-passes-trust-big-banks/

People have a lot of problems with banks to start with though, especially mellenials and gen z (house prices in the UK for example are a lot more than the average salary cam afford with a mortgage).

Bitcoin also has more development behind it as of recent and is a way to store wealth without interference from others as much as possible. Also trust in banks always reduces when a crash occurs and may not have bounced back since the 2008 financial crisis.
4076  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: INVESTORS/ I am looking for investors to develop an exchange platform XTIP on: June 19, 2020, 02:05:54 AM
I am new in this community and I hope to have your support to finish the project.

You're off to a great start.  First post trying to raise a million dollars.  How much time have you put into this project (in mins)?

We have been working since 2013, you can check on my page www.ideappsbr.com

Your website was only registered 15 months ago tjough? Surely if you've been around that long you'd use an older url to make yourself look more dedicated. Also do you own xtip.com as I see its registered?
4077  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: INVESTORS/ I am looking for investors to develop an exchange platform XTIP on: June 19, 2020, 01:22:10 AM
I mean a link to your git repo, work on previous projects and a prototype wouldn't go amis if you're actually after investors in your exchange platform...? I also doubt an ai would have the cognition to make a new coin so the definition of that would be interesting (will it just clone preexisting coins)?
4078  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: off chain storage for Bitcoin possible? on: June 19, 2020, 01:03:23 AM
Not sure if bitcryptex mentioned it but the other problem with offchain payments is that your client has to be online to publish the commitment transaction with the penalty within a certain amount of time (normally two weeks by default) but if you can't go online in that time (such as losing Internet in your house, being arrested/kidnaoped for example or your node being hacked) then you risk losing your funds.

4079  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 20,000EUR, crypto as collateral on: June 19, 2020, 12:56:09 AM
From your end of this it looks like a great deal, from the lenders end that is debatable.... If someone's trying to take less risk they might be willing to do this but it does mean storing €24 000 on an exchange so it can trigger at a stop in case of a massive reduction which seems risky.
4080  Economy / Digital goods / What's the going rate for buying Netflix gcs on: June 19, 2020, 12:24:08 AM
I see quite a few threads about buying and selling Netflix gift cards but a lot of them are from fairly new users, are there legitimate sales of this and are they good for saving a small amount of funds if you buy a year's worth of it on a card (for example)?
