At the very least, if Atlas is going to be a part of these forums again, we should consider a "Scammer" label over his theft of CPU cycles for Bitcoin mining on webpages via Javascript, or a formal "Troll" tag. I'm stunned that Atlas was allowed back considering his long history of drama. He's back one day and already his posts are getting archived. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108663.0I mean come on. The last thing this community needs is more crazy people and trolls. EDIT: And as if to prove my point right on cue. I'm so scared, BadBear. Anyways, you define trolling as anything you don't like. I don't like your attitude, Mr. Troll. You treat me like trash and I won't stand under it. Don't expect any respect from me. I've been patient with you in the past. I won't be any longer.
It's scheiße like this why he should not be allowed back.

It was an experiment that failed. People didn't like the script so I scrapped it. I don't find anything wrong with it but others did and I will respect that.
Personally, stealing offends my sensibilities, coming from me or others.
Seek professional help. Immediately.

I have no desire to argue about javascript and other technologies with you.
So you admit to stealing peoples computing cycles then, and monetizing them for your own profit ?

That could be the reason nobody uses it anymore. They created a feature that nobody wanted and made it harder to use.
Yeah, I'm really scratching my head at the changes moving to a database. The .cfg stuff worked perfectly well. This new stuff since since moving to a SQLite database has been, pardon my french, le shit. *mumbles something about "if it ain't broke... something something..."*

Is this project still being worked on ?
Got the latest tonight via github and spent some time getting up-to-date with things as I'm still running 2.6.2 on another VM.
The recent versions since they've moved away from .cfg files are a step in the wrong direction IMO.
After trying to set up workers that I have running under 2.6.2 for bclc, btcg, mtred, and deepbit, I've had nothing but problems.
1) Would not recognize bclc at all on pools page (Added worker for bclc via worker page) 2) Stats Page: could not define roles, could not disable pools, could not reload config, did not report any worker info under "Last seen" information... total mess. Refreshed the page, and none of my changes stuck 3) Pools page: Ugly mess. Displayed workers despite having deleted them. Priority value does not stick after applying update
In short, the latest builds on a latest-and-greatest Ubuntu 12.04 using the exact steps as outlined in the readme, do not yield a working build of bitHopper.
Have tried across Chrome, Firefox and Safari on my Mac to rule out any browser wierdness with the stats page.

Seems the exchanges that got pwned are textbook demonstrations of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

So is it just me, or is anyone else WTFing over AMD's current stock price ?
They have more in assets than their stock price is worth...

So, it's been a week since this thread has been created. I've counted 12-13 some-odd small accounts that claim to have been repaid, but nothing substantial. Has pirate disappeared ? Any updates on this ? EDIT: nm. found this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=101958.0

...and as far as the Pizza goes, this is by far the best place in McKinney (972-547-2700). Their menu is extensive, they are EXTREMELY helpful and they show up in MUCH LESS THAN 30 MINUTES.
If anyone is up for some juvenile antics, those of us living in Dallas can get together for some hardcore house TP'ing if anyone has his address...

Surprisingly I now have 4 pre order confirmation eMails from BFL in my mailbox.
No. They are not a scam. Their web ordering system isn't the most robust in the world, and it's possible to create multiple orders and get multiple emails "confirming" your order without having paid for them. Does not mean that your orders are legitimate as you have not paid for them. It's a bug. Nothing to see here.

Terrible idea to charge BTC for using the forums.
I thought the idea was to have a growing, active userbase to support Bitcoin's evolution, and having to pay BTC to use the primary discussion outlet would work against Bitcoin, ultimately.
I would imagine the community would want to be more inclusive opposed to exclusive.

TIL that Slashdot is still relevant to some people.
Haven't visited that place regularly since discovering Reddit a few years back.

For whatever my prescience is worth, I don't see 1TH becoming the new 1GH until at least early-mid 2014.
1TH today is too cost-prohibitive for many.

With all the hacks that have happened so far in the Bitcoin community, I would be leery of storing a significant quantity of BTC at any exchange.
Using a wallet on my Mac behind seven proxies and fourteen firewalls doing Time Machine backups every hour to my Synology NAS seems to be working pretty well for me so far.

Driver bug, can't fix. There used to be code to try automatic restarts about a year and a half ago, but all it does is lock up the entire machine.
If you could PM me the offending call that's locking the machine due to a bug, I'll do my best to pass this on to someone on the driver team (friend of a friend so to speak...)

BCX was on BTC-E chat a few days ago bragging about his 1337-p0w4rZ, and showed it off in the form of DDoSing Bitcointalk.
I'm sure there were many people on at the time that witnessed and can corroborate his bragging.
It was actually kind of sad and pathetic to watch.
EDIT: Just caught up on the other threads. I guess I missed the episodes of Bitcointalk where BCX went from insane SolidCoin hater, to someone who adopts a SolidCoin sock-puppet persona, and then decides to disrupt and cause trouble for LiteCoin. Jesus, what happened to that guy ? He go crazy or something ?

While I don't necessarily agree with the wording, I think AurumXchange needs to publicly state their business registration information. You have referenced Dominican law but have not provided an address, Dominican or otherwise.
For prospective customers, please state your business address and registration information on this forum and on your website. With this information, you will inspire the confidence of more people who are just hearing of your business the first time. I ask you not to release your contact information for Zhou, but for prospective customers everywhere.
I don't understand why they haven't done this already, publicly. If they are a respectable, on-the-level business entity, why aren't they more forthcoming with publicly making available their business registration info, address, contact info, or otherwise ?

Yes, I of course can do this, if I ever wanted to. My advice was given to the community, and those who want to see their money again. If you don't care about Bitcoinica's claim process anymore and just want to watch the drama, then your advice is valid.
