but there's no way for those with little or no funds to purchase hardwares, also ,i browsed alot  until i came accross nicecash what's your review about that

nicehash is okay for some.

many people rent there and point it at solo pool by ck.

it is essentially gambling at slightly unfavorable odds.

4062  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ViaBTC sms not receiving not processing withdrawal request on: July 06, 2023, 05:43:43 PM
I just did 2 tests and they worked. Google voice and my regular number.

I know you know to check the rest but...

Does your phone provider have any SMS filtering?

Do you have any SMS / filtering on your phone even, can you check your block list? Make sure you did not accidentally mare the last text they sent you as spam. I did that once.

Did you reach out to them on social media instead of just opening a ticket?

Good luck.

-Dave

I unblocked all my blocked numbers just in case that was the problem but it Didn’t help. Haven’t tried reaching out on social media yet, but I did finally get an email response to my ticket. Just a generic response that’s says switch to authenticator if the sms issue continues

Also try setting up auto withdrawls vs manual they work better.

The three accounts I use are all auto withdrawl with low settings. It allows me to shut auto with drawl off with out sms it allows me to turn it back on without sms.

But if I want to change the autowithrawl address it wants sms.
I send all my coins to operate trezors addresses.

all on autowithdrawal.

I last turned auto withdrawal off JULY 1
I will turn it on today on July 6
I will turn it off on July 7

That ADP jobs report was total bullshit.

High paying jobs in finance and tech sectors actually decreased.

Minimum wage jobs and temp work at summer restaurants, theme parks and resorts don't count.

Those jobs will vanish again when summer is over.

Plus I'm sure the total jobs number was padded like hell.

The Fed just wants to justify more rate hikes, that is all.  Roll Eyes

Most people don't realize a lot of these rate hikes are a bailout for USA long term care industry.

The industry is very restricted in how they invest premiums and over the years the low fed bonds have crushed them.

The USA gov does not want to explain this to the public and you do not hear or read a lot about this 5 trillion dollar industry.

Since my bro-in-law got sick and has really really really really good policy coverage I got into reading about the entire industry.

In Nov-Dec 2021 and Jan 2022 fed bonds were next to nothing and every major company in LONG term care industry was next to bankrupt. Here we are Just about 18 months later all steady rate increases and the industry is recovering.

They need 2 more jumps July and Sept then flat or pivot by the fed for the the last 2 this year.

They will allow them to have there moneis ready to pay the aging baby boomers that are owners of these policies.

You won't find much about this anywhere but here on the WO from me.

I have more data and posted on this on the WO more than once.

Think of the baby boomers as the very large lump in a big snake as time moves on the lump will shrink and the long term care company won't need a high rate bailout for a decade or more.

I am lazy and could show all the numbers but just do research on 2 major company Say Genworth LTC and John Hancock LTC

Look are the bankruptcy risk analysis for them in

Dec 21
Dec 22
July 23

you will find both of them are now much better off the fall of 21

all due to rising rates.

The gov actively tries to force large money to move around by fucking with the rates.

hello guys! I’ve been soloing for a long time, but I can’t figure out how to understand that my miners have solved the block. I will be very grateful for the answer.

"bestever":           683,921,211,198

you need over  51,000,000,000,000

it turns out that if I add miners, my bestever will grow and there will be a chance to solve the block?
If you have an active miner or miners you have a chance to hit each and every single block.

but your percentage of the net work determines the odds to hit a block

the network is 380 eh or 380,000ph or 380,000,000th

So an s19 is about 100th your shot to hit each and every block is

100/380,000,000 = 1 in 3,800,000

10 s19's = 1000/380,000,000 = 1 in 380,000 shot for each and every block

so 144 blocks a day mean 1ph has a 144/380,000 = 1 in 2638 each day

Looks like the financial markets aren’t happy about the latest jobs report. The strong hiring numbers have taken some wind out of the sails of investors as it is evidence that the fed may still have some room left to tighten monetary policy, which will strengthen the dollar and send equity values downward. Amazing how good news is bad news in this new post 9/11 economy.

There is no doubt in my mind we get at least 2 rate hikes of 0.25%

Before fed pivots.

 For your info

Next hike is in around 3 weeks July 25-26 which falls on my late mom's 94th birthday

July       25-26 +0.25
Sept      19-20 +0.25
Oct/Nov  31-1  pivot move
Dec.       12-13 back the pivot up

We get that and BTC will whale in the fall.

They emailed me yesterday and offered to refund my 2000 dollars and gave me a coupon to buy other gear from them.

Once I get the 2000 I will buy a gpu rig as it will be decent gear at a good price if gpus ever mine well again.

I will post my usdt address here

hope to see the funds soon.

Does this mean they are completely scrapping the immersion cooling product? Did they confirm to you that it was issues with shipping or was it issues with the product itself that has cause this failure to deliver? I really hope somebody get this product figured out because I’ve wanted to go immersion cooling for over half a decade now.

here is yesterday's letter.

4074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Q: Why no PCIe ASIC miners? on: July 06, 2023, 04:38:45 AM
Agree with OP.
An PCIe ASIC card would be sick, I would buy for sure.
Let's assume that Chinese engineers can take one of the boards with ASIC chips and make it compatible with a PC via a PCIe interface. The ASIC uses powerful fans to cool the chips. Will you turn your PC into a noisy monster?
Such a board will economically lose to ASICs.

None of that applies to using ASICs in a custom system vs using ASICS with a PCie (or USB) interface in a commodity system. ASiCs are ASICs no matter how they are used.
In this I agree with you. ASIC is a standalone device and does not need an additional interface, except for connecting a LAN cable. If we connect some kind of mining device to the motherboard, then it will be an analogue of a video card or FPGA.

One negative is that new motherboards have fewer PCIe slots and more m.2. m.2 to PCIe splitters will be needed for the next mining bull when and if it happens.

octominer has 8 slot and 12 slot cases. They have the ability to provide well over 3000 watts as a few of the cases have 4 1000 watt hp servers.

Dragging up this thread. eth is discussing staking at 2048 coins not 32

https://www.coindesk.com/tech/2023/06/19/ethereum-developers-propose-raising-validator-limit-to-2048-ether-from-32-ether/

and that is why POS is piece of shit

the very idea they have the balls to talk about doing that shows how fucked up staking can be.

Woah thats crazy that they are actually thinking about doing that. I don't even get why they made the 32 ETH thing in the first place. Lots of other PoS coins don't have a minimum size to stake at all, or if they do it's a lot less than that amount of money. Ethereum seems to be the most complicated and centralized version of PoS out there.

If they changed it to 2048 ETH lol literally you'd probably only have a few dozen stakers. Centralized ones like liquid staking pools and exchanges, plus the ETH founders and initial investors, and anyone who was lucky enough to buy a bunch of ETH before 2017 and hold onto it. Basically the ETH network would be validated by a few very wealthy people plus centralized services.

It's funny when people who don't know what they are talking about try to say that Bitcoin should move to PoS like Ethereum lol. I actually saw some rant online a week or two ago where someone was arguing that Bitcoin is bad because even though Bitcoiners say they will eventually move to PoS they won't really do it. All I could think was who in the heck was this guy talking to who said Bitcoin would move to PoS lol, no Bitcoiners talk about switching away from PoW, he must have been talking to some people who were pranking him haha. Only the people who don't know the value of Bitcoin would say such a thing.

They simply change the rules over and over.

I think we are like 2015

Jan 15 price was 177
Jul 13 price was  308
Dec 16 price was 465

2024  2023

Jan 1 price 16500
July 5 price 30750
Dec 31 price 47000?
philipma1957, wait, are you really predicting for 2024, or is it for 2023?

I think it's still very reasonable to expect the end of 2023 for the bitcoin price to be higher than $45k, because we that's too close to the halving. Lots of interest will jump in and make the market a bull market, but I wouldn't rule out other possibilities even if a potential high price is expected. I will be at $40k, could be lower depending on market conditions and external influences.

typo

for 2024.

Jan 70k new high

Jul 100k topped and newer ATH

Dec 80k

for 2025
Jan  110k Newest ATH
Jul   150k even better
Dec  200k ath again
