4062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 01, 2019, 05:33:43 PM
I thought this was interesting and wanted to share-

NBA and NBPA have partnered with Dapper Labs of CryptoKitties-fame to release “NBA Top Shot” — a crypto collectibles game.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/nba-partners-with-firm-behind-cryptokitties-for-crypto-collectible-game

“The NBA and its players are among the greatest heavyweights in global culture [...] Through NBA Top Shot basketball fans can engage with their favorite players, teams, and each other in entirely new ways. We use the latest in blockchain technology to create assets and experiences that are guaranteed limited edition and authentic, not to mention portable and permanent in a way nothing digital has ever been before.”
4063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Maximum bet amount on single bet! on: August 01, 2019, 05:28:11 PM
I think this forum has lot of regular gambler so I am interested to know how much they ever spend as highest bet amount in very single bet.
At most the highest I will bet is somewhere like .001 or .002 because I know beforehand that I might lose it
Reading about how some people can just toss away 1000 a hand of blackjack or a sports match makes my stomach turn just thinking about it
Imagine if you didnt gamble away those coins and they like doubled in price wouldnt you feel like a fool for risking them in the first place?
Do this gambling for a form of entertainment and if you are betting 5000 on a game of chance you might have a problem  Lips sealed

Dana might be creating a new storyboard for his pet Conor's comeback to be a champion again.

My prediction, Conor versus Jorge Masvidal will fight for the championship of a newly created 165 pound weight division on 2020.

I am in agreement with this conspiracy and it only makes perfect sense with the more weight classes = more bucks for DANA and Company
Who would have thought we would be seeing JORGE MASVIDAL up in the running to cash the CONNNOR 'lottery ticket'

It took a while but now it is here

https://www.coindesk.com/spankchain-launches-crypto-payments-service-for-adult-content?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=coindesk&utm_term=&utm_content=&utm_campaign=Organic%20

Adult industry-oriented blockchain project SpankChain has launched a cryptocurrency payments platform.

Dedicated to helping adult content providers maintain a reliable payments provider in the face of a largely reluctant traditional finance industry, the new SpankPay service allows users to pay with cryptocurrencies including bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and litecoin (LTC), as well as the “privacy coins” zcash (ZEC) and monero (XMR).

“With SpankPay, we are bringing immediate value to adult merchants by helping them accept crypto, avoid chargebacks, and reach a global audience,” said Ameen Soleimani, CEO of SpankChain.

Zooko Wilcox, CEO of Electric Coin Company (ECC) – the firm behind the privacy-focused cryptocurrency zcash – has made an appeal for the creation of a new “Dev Fund” to support the future operations of the privacy-focused cryptocurrency.

The move comes after much debate over the continuation of the project’s controversial “founders’ reward,” which took centerstage at Zcon1 and even drove a portion of the zcash community to fork off into a new network, Ycash.
4067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 01, 2019, 05:06:50 PM
We should read if the website we want to play has an official thread in the Gambling section and see the feedback there. This is enough to know if the website is trusted or not.The second thing we should check is what kind of bonuses the site offers and what kind of games it offers for the players.
These are very important things we should also be aware about customer support and how fast or slow they are to return our messages
This is what I do before I make a deposit into one of the many casinos
Bitcasino and Sportsbet are very fast to respond to my message and I can play with instant deposits - which is one of my favorite features being offered
4068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Career on: August 01, 2019, 05:02:54 PM
Hey guys I'm not so much of a poster but a lurker on this forum I recently took 30 dollars and took it to 500 on pokerstars and then my cpu suddenly breaks and I had to withdraw all my funds to buy a new one. I have major anxiety problems and a job atm isn't really doable since I have super bad social anxiety and have only worked in warehouses but right now I am injured and I'm unable to lift boxes. I am really dedicated to a poker career my goal is to save up to 1000USD then start with the concept of 1/200 tournament buy ins or 5.50 or below tournies. Currently I am killing a boss called vorkath in osrs which gives 3m an hour or 1.50USD an hour so I can save up for the 1000 usd but I feel like there must be a faster way to pursue my dream of becoming a pro poker player in my current situation any advice or help would be great thanks.
Turning your 30$ into 500$ is quite a accomplishment - no one is denying that
You should take this as a sign from your CPU suddenly breaking down which forced you to withdraw your funds
If you are really thinking about making a career from playing online poker maybe you should listen to some of the horrorstories that get tossed around so much
Beginners luck is a real thing and you might have got it but in the long run online poker or even physical poker is only a career very few can have
4069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [2019-08-01] Crypto Exchange Launches ‘Shitcoin Futures Index' on: August 01, 2019, 04:59:01 PM

Crypto derivatives platform FTX has perhaps the most speculative and oddly-named futures index fund on the market: SHIT-PERP, or the Shitcoin Index Perpetual Futures.

An index of 58 low market cap coins, SHIT-PERP includes projects like Waves, Grin, and Nano. It is flanked by two other low-cap indexes on the site, MID-PERP and ALT-PERP.

Code:
Welterweight:  Colby Covington vs. Robbie Lawler

This looks fun to watch. I think we'll see a lot of blood in this fight  Cheesy
Covington wrestling is great to see but a guy like Lawler is hard to take down either. I'm going for Lawler on this one.
I agree that this will be a very bloody match and one the fans will be excited to witness
Here is a interesting video I found talking about if the winner of this match will get the next title fight:

4072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale revisited on: July 31, 2019, 06:14:06 PM
To make things clear right at the start, I know that martingale is a losing strategy in the long term as there is no way to beat the house and its edge if only by chance alone (or by exploiting a bug in the system). And since martingale effectively removes the chance part from the equation, it is set to fail in the end

With that said, though, it is an "old-school" martingale which is a sure way to lose all but what about using martingale when you constantly lower your chances to lose at each red streak by extending the number of losing rolls till you go bust? I don't know if it can actually help but it is certainly worth discussing here

Obviously, it can be done by "reinvesting" everything we earned at previous rolls without changing any other setting (like odds, initial bet amount, increase, etc) but we are not necessarily limited to only that. For example, we could continually add to our balance at each roll, thereby postponing our final moment until it gets lost in the vague future

Does it change anything even if it doesn't make a lot of sense as a strategy on its own?
Just based on your very first sentence, it sounds like you understand that this method hasnt proven anything other then you will lose money in the long run.
Betting strategies are very common these days and everyone thinks they can get the house edge- truth is its called the HOUSE EDGE for a very good reason
Play for entertainment everyone not to beat the HOUSE EDGE!
4073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling affect your overall lifestyle? on: July 31, 2019, 06:09:25 PM
I am not a big gambler personally but some of my colleagues I work with seem to make it a regular part of their lifes.
When there is a office pool people tend to turn sides on each other and I discover gambling can get in the way of accomplishing the actual tasks at hand
I become stressful if I have money on a sports match and it comes down to a coin flip if I will win the wager
I am lucky enough to say I am not very affected by a lifestyle that includes gambling but I do think it is a big problem in this world
4074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here have some strategy to gain money, but with low profits daily? on: July 31, 2019, 06:06:02 PM
Really there is not a working gambling strategy to guarantee you an extra income regardless of what people say or claim to offer.
I have discovered that there are many people on this board who want nothing more then to get rich quick and this is probably the only reason they became involved with crypto to begin with.
Investing in crypto is a gamble in itself alone so its natural for crypto owners to want to gamble to earn even more money for doing next to nothing.
Play some slots bet on some sports but dont think about making it a career.

A rule embedded within litecoin’s (LTC) code is set to soon reduce rewards for the miners who today ensure transaction processing on the world’s fourth-largest blockchain by total value.
Litecoin price over the last 30 days via CoinDesk data.

In approximately five days, litecoin will undergo a scheduled reward halving – a process aimed at preserving cryptocurrency’s purchasing power.
The mining reward is currently set at 25 litecoins ($2,500) per block and will drop to 12.5 litecoins ($1,200) per block on Aug. 5.

With that transition, the protocol will be adding significantly fewer litecoins to the market after Aug. 5.

Ok lets all just take a deep breath and realize that just because PAC barely won that does not mean he is ready or deserving of a MONEY MAYWEATHER rematch
Do we even know if FLOYD is been in the gym working out and statying ready - he could be in the club for all we know
But the 1 thing we can be sure for is that the SENATOR is lining himself up to pick another worthy opponent for a major paycheck
