4061  Economy / Economics / Re: I think most people still trust the USD more than Bitcoin on: December 22, 2021, 10:48:03 AM
Some countries have shown there's still hope, but it'll be an uphill battle for likely a couple generations before Bitcoin could surpass fiat and particularly the dollar in trust.

And more seriously, it will be difficult for bitcoin to surpass fiat because there are certain traditional roles that fiat do for every country and if bitcoin is able to surpass it, it means fiat is dead and buried and we know that may not happen. For instance, I believe that there are little expenditure that paying through bitcoin will be meaningless and only fees will discourage such payment. So if the two , that is fiat and bitcoin would be used the more efficient for the financial system.
4062  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fed and markets and btc on: December 21, 2021, 10:21:03 PM
You are presuming too much of this doomsday of crypto market but the institutions are competing in grabbing more BTC. They don't even care whether the price will be more than $50K so if the price just goes down a little more, they are still buying like Mike Saylor. They shouldn't wait for the price to dip lower or the wealthiest will just grab those BTC from them. If they wait for the price to go below $40k for instance, they may have few BTC to grab while the others bought them for a high price yet massive.

I think you could be right that investors are not waiting for dip but they are buying every little correction. Today price refuse to drop and now it began to appreciate from the little dip in the morning today. The price looks bullish but risky to rely on maybe this is going to be a turn around for more highs to be reached. I think with the bear not taking charge by this time of the year, the first week of next month can be really volatile.
4063  Economy / Gambling / Re: ETC.CASINO SCAM on: December 21, 2021, 07:47:14 PM
maybe their rules have changed ,just try to deposit 0.1 ETC and follow their rules ,if you are right and follow the rules but they don't pay your winnings ,you can complain to community about them ETC.casino of scam ! get a bonus there should be rules that you have to do it as I have seen many times ,it is small chance that free money from the casino can always be withdraw without a deposit !

This would have been a wrong suggestion IMO because whether rules changed or not they should keep up with information to users who are patronising them so that it will be a choice to play or not and you know what you are going in for but not to keep mute on certain rules is looking like a trap.
4064  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as enforcer of responsibility on: December 21, 2021, 07:19:31 PM
Right now, even the USD does not interest me that much, because I know that holding it is still the same thing with holding my own native currency – the only difference that the both have is that my native currency would lose value faster than the USD, but at the end of the day the both of them are going to suffer from inflation and Bitcoin would have more value more than them.

This is why I try to invest in bitcoin as long as I have the money to, and I know for sure that I wouldn’t be needing that money anytime soon, so I just move it into bitcoin or any good crypto.

Yes fiat is fiat likewise cryptocurrency and inflation is a breaker to fiat. You can't compare fiat value in the future from the past because of inflation as it has undergone some policy that it purchasing power won't measure up but cryptocurrency has no such effect on it directly by inflation. It only losses value in volatility, volume.
4065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is still in a downward trend, will it last long or temporarily? on: December 21, 2021, 03:41:34 PM
Seeing from previous years, the habit of the year-end bitcoin market price is often bearish and there is nothing wrong with this year the market is bearish. market conditions will continue to persist until the first week of 2022, then the market will return to the green zone it seems. so get ready bitcoin fly away after passing the first week of 2022.

Maybe that is a relationship with the December season of spending that cause uncontrollable spending and hodlers will fall back to their bitcoin to cash out. This is not a very good way but the past has recorded  this that way but I am not relying on that fully because things may happen differently for a turn around because institutions will not cash out like individuals doing unnecessary spending this season.
4066  Economy / Economics / Re: Not correct news about omicron and eu stocks on: December 21, 2021, 03:11:50 PM

Omnicron news has been one of the target media where this insane article keeps popping up to distract investors by dishing out fake articles.

Really Omicron news has gone hyped for no reason, it is getting the media hype and causing fear in the system. Some taking advantage to sell products in the media because of unnecessary noise that articles in the media creates. It has made even the South African region to become feared that most travellers now are going away.
4067  Economy / Economics / Re: Robert Kiyosaki expects a market crash and economic crisis - do you believe it? on: December 21, 2021, 01:53:27 PM
But especially these times we shouldn't forget mentioning that this is not the end of the world. Smiley

Even reading the books recorded from the past, we have seen so many revolution that has changed world order like the French Revolution and others yet the people survived and continued with the new system and what was left from the old system. During the recessions of the past, bigger economy like Germany helped many European countries to survive and life is still going on. This means the people will survive despite the hardship from the government policies and corruption.
4068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: December 21, 2021, 11:20:53 AM
ATH might not happen early next year since that is just the beginning of recovery from the huge spending this holiday season, maybe we should give more time to see that peak again since Bitcoin can’t recover that much easily, it take years and months before so maybe that could be the scenario again.

Huge spending, recovery season or start of the season doesn't really matter with bitcoin and the way it can bull. If we check the start of the current season of bull to $67k , it started during the time of covid-19 and that around February which is also during the beginning of the year so you understand that season is not what can be used to analyse bitcoin.
4069  Economy / Economics / Re: To be financially well and healty you need to find fund manager on: December 20, 2021, 06:53:31 PM
I personally don't seem to need a fund manager to manage my finances, because I can still manage it myself, unless I have a lot of assets and are too busy to manage finances because of the many needs that must be met. so in my opinion as long as we can control it ourselves, it should be managed privately, so as not to add to the burden of our needs, of course the fund manager costs are not small

The reason for fund manager is simply the obvious, that either there is too much assets to control and or that someone is too busy to control what they have. It is always that being busy means that there is a lot in your hand to manage and therefore you need a helping hand to help in business.
4070  Economy / Economics / Re: Advice for the season. on: December 20, 2021, 03:54:22 PM
Don't bend to societal pressure of over spending during this festive season, make serious plans for the celebrations and the coming year, Don't fall into the trap or bend to the pressure of selling off a percentage of your cryptos to  spend this festive season, a new year is coming. January is usually a long month that carries along a lot of expenses, make plans and preparations now for tomorrow, spend wisely today.

That is if you don't have real need for it. Your investment is meant to help you to finance your challenges when the time come for it. You don't have money and go begging all the time that means you don't really have good plans for yourself. Agreed that you don't need to cash out every time you have little challenge, that is financial mismanagement and frivolous spending but if you have personal things you need to do with money, why not look back to your investment especially if it has got to some high and with profit.
4071  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: December 20, 2021, 01:57:14 PM
My only doubt with op is he didn't show prove of his discussion with the wall Street guys or chat. I don't doubt the price coming close to that in the next few months with another covid-19 pendamic fear building up, if the government intensify the social distance restrictions and staying at home strictly one more time then you see investors going to hodl bitcoin. I think something of that price is possible if bitcoin has got that high this year.
4072  Economy / Economics / Re: Sharing and helping others on: December 20, 2021, 12:09:16 PM
the problem here is that so many of this persons had already ruled in their heads that anything that gives much ROI without physical stress is a scam and because of this the wouldn't want to associate themselves with it, they are only moved when there's an evidence to prove your point and that's how I play along.

This is true and the class of people with this kind of thinking is the poor people. They want to see what you have done first before they join you instead of trying to do their own research first to know the possibility of what you are telling them. But the rich man is different with investment. A rich man understand investment and how to find their way. You can be surprised that after you give such information to a rich man, he can go all the way out behind you to investigate what you have brought to his table and the next time you talk about it he can give you the investigation he has done on it calculated his profit margin and whether it will be profitable to invest on.
4073  Economy / Economics / Re: Sharing and helping others on: December 18, 2021, 09:42:35 AM
There is the saying that you don't give people fish but you teach them how to fish. This saying is proper to what message that you try to pass but you know also that people have to be ready to know how to fish because you can only take a horse to stream to drink but you can't force it to drink. Therefore, people have to be willing to be taught. Cryptocurrency is still being doubted by many and instead of wasting all day trying to find someone to teach, allow the profit and good life to show in you and that will attract those that are willing to be taught. It is good that your friends have been convinced that they follow you but many still doubting cryptocurrency.
4074  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: December 18, 2021, 08:00:46 AM
Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years

I say more like 10-25 years.. the banks will adapt and allow crypto.. but they will fail as they will try to control it.

OpaMunze is right, 10-25 years sounds more like a reasonable expectation, and I must say I like the conclusion, they will fail because they will try to control it, but of course, they will not be able to do it, so they will not be able to adapt! I believe this will happen with many banks, there will be just rare examples of banks ready to adopt new technologies, banks ready to change the way they do business will have more chances for survival!

No if they adopt it then they won't fall. The adoption of cryptocurrency into banks will be as a need to satisfy the customers full financial services so it will go by the side with fiat currency too for maximum service. If banks adopt cryptocurrency they already know that it is not controlled as blockchain is there for everybody. If talking about control that can happen with coins that are centralised but not bitcoin.
4075  Economy / Economics / Re: Usdt safe heaven on: December 16, 2021, 10:18:44 PM
My advice is, don't put all your eggs into one basket.

Exactly the point and like other contributors have mentioned inflation to be the underlying factor affecting USDT. If you convert or buy your money all into usdt so you also have to remember inflation. When USDT is pegged on the dollar we have to remember that it value won't remain the same at some point when it is either fiat. So buying some crypto is still good for diversification and not to tie down money in usdt as it has advantages and disadvantages.
4076  Economy / Economics / Re: Mortgage are most wrong financial decision you can make on: December 16, 2021, 04:18:26 PM
Anyway, when you really need a house, as long as the monthly instalment doesn't make you more suffer, it's a good decision IMO.

Some people have achieved to own a house by the means of mortgage and no matter how painful or stressful it was for them at the end of the month was inconsequential. I believe this too that we don't need to consider the inconvenience which will be temporary and at the end we are happy owing the house. Suffering is not permanent, hard times don't last forever.
4077  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe good time to loan money to invest in crypto on: December 16, 2021, 03:09:18 PM

Buy few metaverse few top coins maybe web3 and u wait ATH and you sell it.

How do you determine ATH? This has been an issue with many hodlers. They hodl and wait for top or ATH but soon they know the price starts to drop faster and faster until they get discouraged to sell and again they wait for another circle of ATH.So you have means you know the ATH?
4078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice speculation thread on: December 16, 2021, 12:36:23 PM
There may be possibilities of manipulation in dice if it was real (though idk if it's really possible, you know the one where they control how the dice moves inside with precise shaking) but other than that, there's really no strategy whatsoever. It's a luck-based game thorough and thorough, no doubt about that.

On the manipulation of dice, I don't really know that much but what I think that happens towards that is losers who feel unlucky to have won grudge on that to be a kind of manipulation that took them out. If there is actual manipulation then we need real players prove to that or dice game managers to give more information about how it can be manipulated.
4079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice speculation thread on: December 16, 2021, 11:26:56 AM
I think the dice game is one of the gambling games that is hugely relied on luck. I don't know if there is any kind of expertise involved in playing of dice. It basically on speculation as you said and if being lucky on it , then your speculation turns out right. Both online and real life are strictly based on luck as I know.
4080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL? on: December 15, 2021, 10:50:19 PM
Most coins that have increased without corresponding increase in bitcoin or ethereum has been on hype and that means falling may happen anytime soon that the investors pull off the rug. This means that Ethereum and bitcoin are still choice coins with committed community. I still prefer them than selling off and buying solana
