4082  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cloud Whale - Small group, large investors - control the market! Be a whale! on: March 27, 2014, 05:56:38 PM
I'm looking to start a group of large investors, 5-15 investors, 3 BTC minimum; who can be trusted to follow a schedule and invest as a group.

I want to band together to decide when we will control a market on a specific coin; and when we will make moves in coordination.

do you have any good track record???

He has "Whale" in his name. And cloud. Cloud is always good today!

This coin is a perfect example of how even the worst news is good news.

Come on, 24 hours later and some pools are still forking??
4084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 27, 2014, 02:26:03 PM
Nxt ae I think maybe out these weekend

Do you base that information on the fact that it corresponds with the 04.04.2014?

Why do you even post that here? Is this related to the nxt mining pools?

good for you that you made some research. Bitcointalk and cryptocurrency in general is scammers paradise. If you stay with reputable community members, you will have quite many successful trades Smiley
4090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: March 27, 2014, 12:53:42 PM
Yes he could be shady  Huh I am just curious about his plan  Grin. Domain names are virtual real estate I get it, but NEM or nxt as real estate how? unless we start thinking NEM stakes as building you are renting out and NEM being foraged or forged as rent.

How much Nem can you generate with 10% of NEM anyway, the whole idea of POI was to insure little guys get a chance to earn as well as the big guys.

what is .003% anyway, are you saying you own that much nxt.

Forget about forging. That is the POW paradigm. Forging is like passive rent. Landlord mentality. Downton Abbey. 19th Century mentality. Money for nothing.

I am interested in creating 'things', enterprises, activity, dynamism.

POS is like TCP/IP. The applications are build on top, like structures are built on real estate.

Structures like factories, universities, hospital, casino, hotel, airport etc etc

0.003% is an equal NEM stake (I think?).

A NEM stake is very small, but still good!

But you can't build something big with 1/3000th share

Why wouldn't you gather NEM owners, not NEMcoins?
Isn't the result the same, together you would own 10%.

because the market wouldn't be so liquid that he could acquire 10% of the stake on the open market. he would drive the price throught the roof. It is like an institutional investor that wants to buy 100million USD worth of BTC. He will do that OTC (over the counter) and not on the exchanges. (Look at BIT for example)
4091  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Track down and confront Mark Karpele's wife and kid to get some answers on: March 27, 2014, 12:46:35 PM
I can't read Japanese so have to rely on Google translate, but the gist I'm getting on this article's second page is Mark got them out of the country in January before things hit the proverbial fan:

http://gendai.net/articles/view/newsx/148396

Can anyone say "flight risk" ?

It needs to be checked if Karpeles' wife and kid benefited from fraudulent conveyance. If so creditors can go after Karpeles' family to recover some losses.

Even so, it is no private persons business to track down someone. That is wrong on so many levels Sad

also which exchabge is better???
bter

Cryptsy has also worked for me, but Bter does have higher trade volume.

Bter does have some complications right now. BUT cryptsy is the slowest exchange to payout. By far!
4094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 27, 2014, 10:52:13 AM

trading nxt on bter is halted

bullshit, just sold some to test..
4095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PoS] Edgecoin - Marketplace - Gambling - Advanced Wallet - 15hrs IPO stage 1 on: March 27, 2014, 10:36:14 AM
"Din" account was banned due to over promoting Edgecoin (through messages). It was my mistake and we're working towards having the ban appealed, if it is not appealed with 24 hours I will make a new thread. Everything else is the same, just message me on this account instead of "Din".

finally the mods step up and do the right thing. It is against the forum rules to solicite people through pms.

Hope this account gets banned too!
4096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 27, 2014, 10:28:44 AM

you know what hot air is!

nxt is hot air, nexern client is hot air and all this is hot air!

Let sum up what we have finished here:

- Decentralized Alias System / DNS: yes but not Complete
- Basic DDoS Protection: Complete?
- Decentralized Asset Exchange / Colored Coins:NO
- Transparent Mining:NO
- Transparant Forging:NO
- Arbitrary Messaging: Complete but absolete
- Instant Transactions:NO
- Decentralized Marketplace / Auction:NO
- Distributed Storage:NO
- Multi-signatures:NO
- Blockchain Shrinking:NO
- Two-phase Payments:NO
- Voting System:NO
- Reputation System:NO
- Decentralized Mixing Service:NO
- Distributed Computing:NO
- Smart Contracts:NO
- Hardware Wallets:NO
- Advanced DDoS Protection Project Kharo:NO
- white paper: NO
- Client:NO

Some corrections:

Reputation System should be replaced with Judgement System.
Multi-signatures and Two-phase Payment should merged into Phasing.
Transparent Mining or Transparant Forging, not both.
Autonomous Transactions should be added.

OMG you all do not get it do you...

more hot air with no goal or use.

"should be added" is not the same as "can we use it?", you can add tonloads of shit to nxt with no use or purpose for it.

nxt only get heavier and heavier untill it will drop dead under its own weight

Why don't you just start and help this coin, so we can finish some of the features? You could buy some NXT and profit and help others.

Sounds nice, doesn't it?

I wont and i will work against them loaded sick big pockets

cos i am one too but i will use my stake to get nxt to zero and play the whales while trading and profiting.

that is something else than sit on millions of nxt and wait to get rich on the sweat of others.

Yeah trading really adds value to this world! You don't profit on the sweat of others.
4097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: March 27, 2014, 10:23:52 AM
I don't have any sockpuppet accounts, but i would like to sell you my share for NXT. I guess we will get about 1,100,000 NEM so about 252,500NXT for it?

If each NEM stake is 1,100,000 NEM coins, then I would pay 27,500 NXT per stake (rate is 1:40)

At the current price for NXT at bter.com, that would equate to over 1.375 Bitcoins per NEM stake

1,100,000 / 40 = 27,500

27500 * 0.00005b = 1.375 bitcoin

It is a good profit, and for those who have multiple NEM stakes it is a good way to get a decent stake in NXT and still keep some NEM.

The current NXT price is very low. After the asset exchange is launched 27,500 NXT will be worth more than 1.375 bitcoin.

yeah thats what i meant. I just mixed up the point.

So do you want to escrow this, or how do you want to proceed?

(PS: i am not going to give you a freeroll on this, meaning, that you only pay after the marketprice is established, because then you will only buy if you feel like it is worth it, otherwise you just bail)

I suggest we usee anon for escrow and you send him the 27500 NXT

PS: If you really invested and not only profit from referrals, then i question your intelligence too!

Well, I see your argumentation boils down to insulting people. I do not go down to that level, yet I ll simply stop this discussion, from this point on, you do not exist for me on this forum anymore.  Grin Grin

No, i just want to save people from falling for their own greed. 100s of 1000s of BTC have been lost in schemes like this. Pirate@40 and coinlenders and every other high yield program there is.

Just go ahead and risk your money, don't tell other people to fall for that shit!

Hi Nxt community,

It is after 2 am local PST time and I have been awake for 20 hours. I will post tomorrow both here and nxtforum.org with more specifics from Coinsumm.it. I have found an exchange in a Nordic country and another exchange in Mexico who both expressed interest in adding NXT to their exchanges. I will need to refer Nxt developers to both of those contacts to assist in exchange integration.

This thread will continue to serve as a potential learning and entry point for Nxt. Nxt as a community needs to continue to educate, welcome, and assist new Nxt users. Education is very important, nearly as important as a good user interface. The Nxt community should keep this thread operable to welcome new users. Good night everyone!

very nice! You are doing a hell of a job! Smiley
