Pretty crazy finish to the Rams / Bills game. After being down quite a bit early on, the Rams went on a late game scoring spree and managed to get ahead for a few, sweet minutes. It was all ultimately for not as the Rams had a dumb penalty on a crucial last minute play and made it a shoe-in for the Bills.

I put in one easy bet: ML on Buccaneers. It's not a big payout but I just don't see them losing this game -- not in this universe or through much of the multiverse.
4082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BITCOIN CASH] Development on: September 25, 2020, 02:17:34 AM
I think the developer of bitcoin cash is now trying to be more competitive in the marketplace knowing that there are many new altcoins which is very hyping at the moment such as uniswap and chainlink, this is really a good move for them to make a hype as well so many people can also acknowledge them as one of the best top rank cryptocurrency.

Not really; they can say goodbye to their top 10 position after the fork as the market cap will be split into 2 separate, competing Bitcoin Cash's. On November 15th 2018, the day of the last hard fork, Bitcoin Cash was $420 a coin. Today BCH is $215 and BSV is $155, so those two coins combined don't equal the price of BCH pre-fork. There's no reason to think this time around will be any different.

On a side note, it would be a perfect opportunity for Roger Ver to finally drop the word "Bitcoin" from the name of his coin (seeing as how BCH is obviously not replacing BTC as the Bitcoin, as was his claim and rationale behind keeping the name "Bitcoin"), but being as dishonest and greedy as he is, there's no chance of him actually doing that.

As another aside, BCH is currently at all-time lows against BTC.

Fitzmagic vs. Minshew Mania, the facial hair showdown on TNF  Grin

Probably not the matchup everyone wants to see but at least it's going to be a high scoring game, 300+ passing yards and multiple touchdowns each.
I have two prop bets, James Robinson over 72.5 rush yards and Gesicki over 55.5 receiving yards, have of both of them in my fantasy team this week, i hope i don't get double the disappointment tonight lol  They did well over the weekend though:

- J.Robinson 16CAR, 102YDS, 1TD vs. Titans
- Gesicki 11 TGTS, 8REC, 130YDS, 1TD vs. Bills

Good luck! I almost put a bet in for JAX to cover (-2.5) but changed my mind at the last second. That probably means they'll win by a lot now. Lol. Good 'ol Florida vs. Florida -- you know they'll have as many fans in attendance as possible, which I kind of prefer to empty stands and fake crowd noise, even if some of them statistically have to die of covid in a few weeks (not so LOL).
4084  Economy / Reputation / Re: nutildah twisted retard who abuse the trust system on: September 24, 2020, 11:30:54 AM
The explanation is very simple.

You use the same language and exhibit the exact same behavior as other known scammers:

Rambotnic
Boombl4
Old Samurai
Psomus

he is back

username - SamuelJobs
profile - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2833032

Once again, you called it. SamuelJobs is Rambotnic aka Boombl4 aka Old Samurai aka Psomus.

Same brash, egotistical, heartless style. Same MO. Didn't change it one bit:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5277768.msg55253058#msg55253058

Just to aware everyone around, this indian scammer wanted to sell XRP.
I suggested escrow and look what's next...
https://prnt.sc/umm257

NEVER EVER DEAL THIS GUY WITHOUT FORUM ESCROW.
Otherwise, he may scam even your 1 cent.

More info can be found in his flag support here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5153445.new#new

You are definitely Robotnic / OldSamourai / psomus, and probably a few other scammer accounts.

No question.

I know exactly what your MO is. You pose as being someone who is looking out for the community in order to build "cred." But when someone does agree to use escrow, you pretend to be the escrower and insist the deal be completely done through telegram. Then you steal the user's funds under the false pretext that they didn't understand the deal.

It's only a matter of time before you scam somebody else, get caught, disappear, and come back with a new account. You're not nearly as clever as you think you are.

Tagging him now.

In a few hours I expect my trust wall to have some new reds with him calling me a pedophile.

What a wonderful human being.  Roll Eyes

You've probably had many more accounts on the forum and I think I know at least one concurrent one right now. I think you know I know who it is as well. Just waiting for you to slip up with it so I can add it to the list.

Basically what he does (in each account) is heavily emphasize "forum escrow", but then should he find a victim that he strings along far enough on Telegram, he pretends to be an inactive forum escrow like Monbux or SebastianJu and contacts the victim also on Telegram. They have a 3-way chat and he runs off with the victim's money, usually trying to blame the victim in the process. As can be seen in the comment above, sometimes he simply invents other lame excuses to scam people.

If anybody else has any reasonable questions about how I came to this conclusion (that they are all alts), please feel free to ask. This guy is one of the worst types of people on the forum, if not the planet, and they have no place here.

4086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bounty hunters (not what you think) on: September 24, 2020, 08:34:54 AM
Well said, that was heartfelt and you earned a well-deserved second merit from me today. Should probably move this thread to Altcoin Discussion, however.

instead of doing just a bit of research and in that way, we weed out all the garbage and scammers, you allow these sub par bounties to catch wind and take flight into the shit winds and people like me are sick of it, im tired of seeing these careless people, it's just pathetic.

Bounty hunting is a vicious cycle of shit, bud.

So long as the shitmongers keep cranking out shit tokens, there will be bounty hunter shithawks circling the sky, trying to wet their shitbeaks.

Only you have the power to break the shit cycle, bud.
4087  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 24, 2020, 07:25:26 AM
For the sake of respect for everyone else I will stop commenting those topics in this thread.

Nah, you don't have to do that. It's a free forum. If any of us really get out of line infofront will smack us down.
4088  Other / Meta / Re: Reduced forum activity on: September 24, 2020, 07:15:34 AM
Maybe I'm too old, but I like this sryle of forum. I don't like the so-called modern styles, which seem to be jumbles to me.

I feel the same way... I don't actually see any need for the forum to be upgraded as it contains everything that is necessary for the promotion of discussion in the format that it currently is.

One thing that would definitely help and is probably years overdue is a mobile version. Many, many people read the forum from a mobile device, which can be irritating as there's usually a lot of scrolling involved.

Over 50% of all web traffic comes from mobile devices, and though the trend seems to have leveled off in recent years, the forum would definitely see more visitors / users with a more user-friendly mobile layout. Don't have a clue as to how practical making SMF mobile friendly is but my guess is its not easy or it would have been done already.

I would just point it out to the bounty manager that this person is using your twitter feed.

What's weird is I can't find bitvalak's entry in the bounty thread. Nor is he anywhere in the Telegram.

It does look like perhaps he was added as a special favor or something.
4090  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Wall Order Thread on: September 24, 2020, 03:23:14 AM
Your passing this off as a matter of my insulting you is an evasive misdirection.

Not at all. By opening with an insult you instantly drain any desire I might have to read any further. It's actually that simple. So feel free to incorporate that tidbit into your future missives, or not; ultimately its up to you of course.

I do apologize to @Karartma1 for my crassness.

It's actually not too bad now. It's amazing how the absence of one buffoon can improve the atmosphere. Assuming you have BADecker on ignore.

I do, and I read a few threads there from time to time, but some of the topics remain severely depressing even w/o TS. Besides, at this stage in the game I'd just rather not know the political beliefs of people I otherwise hold in high regard for their contributions elsewhere.

How the fuck do you know what the filmmaker intended?

Well I don't. But what I do know is that covid-19 wasn't around in 1988.
4091  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Wall Order Thread on: September 24, 2020, 01:13:45 AM

I'm ignoring you in general because you take too many words to say too little. If you start a post directed at me with an insult, and then I scroll down to see 8 more paragraphs, just assume I'm not reading it.

Have at P&S. Now that tecshare has seemingly retired (forcibly or otherwise) maybe you can become their new self-appointed god. I don't post there anymore, utter waste of time. It's all yours.
4092  Economy / Speculation / The Wall Order Thread on: September 23, 2020, 11:41:26 PM
I am personally rooting for 20 -25 million to die from it from now til feb 1 2021.

 Cheesy

Well obviously covid is simply not as lethal an illness as the Spanish Flu, so you have to rejigger your extrapolation a bit to account for reduced lethality. I don't know what the actual numbers are off-hand but I'm sure some decent estimates are out there.

As far as everything else is concerned, I just think some people have fun believing they are the targets of a global conspiracy to keep them down. It somehow adds a sense of meaning to their lives if they can convince themselves they are fighting tyranny in the name of the greater good.

"This affects all of us man!"

The truth is far more boring and depressing perhaps, which is part of what makes it difficult to accept: nobody actually gives a shit about you, because you simply aren't important enough to care about.

Anti-maskers want to fight an enemy that they perceive to be threatening their God-given rights. Meanwhile what they are actually doing is fighting common sense.

Of course the law should be a bit more nuanced than that. I don't think you should have to wear a mask if you aren't in a public area around lots of strangers. But if you are, just have the common fucking courtesy to wear the mask.

Do your own fucking due diligence, people, instead of being a shill for a political party that doesn't even exist in your own country.

It's been ages since I watched that film, but I remember clearly the bottom-line, which has nothing to do with Alex Jones, or any political party in the US.

You missed the point I was making in that the moral of the film was co-opted by anti-maskers. The film also has nothing to do with wearing a mask. Its being politicized in a way the filmmaker never intended, for the sake of making an edgy meme which just happens to represent a component of the ideology of a political platform in the U.S.

Surely you've seen this by now or something like it:

So what was going on back in 1918? Big brother trying to force conformity on the masses for the purposes of ushering in a new world order?

@nutildah
Of course I watched it. It was not my intention to promote any sort of propaganda (which I was not even aware of). Having said that, everything sparked from v8's warning sign posted a few pages back.

To me the stay home mantra is kind of similar to another form of consume, obey, conform.

I will translate it for the times:
Do smart working from home (stay home)
Keep moving the economy (consume and spend your money)
Keep social distancing (conform).

Isn't it sad? Roll Eyes

So long as you don't actually believe that meme was a real scene from the movie, which is what I feared.

Perhaps we're just trying to globally combat a pandemic by encouraging proper hygiene until it has subsided? Or is that just way too looney tunes of a conspiracy?

Sometimes asking it to google helps a lot my friend, i just find this link:

https://www.interpol.int/Contacts/Contact-INTERPOL

I'm not sure if they can take action over scam casinos, but at least you can try it, i mean, it's free to do it.

It would be nice if you can mention the scam site, that way other users who read your post would be able to avoid the site.

Dude, you didn't read my post or the first lines on the website you just linked:

Quote
Criminal activity should be reported to your local or national police. INTERPOL does not carry out investigations or arrest people; this is the responsibility of national police.

You can't report crimes to INTERPOL. That is only for national police forces that are cooperating with one another in order to collaborate on catching wanted criminals.
4096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: :/ on: September 23, 2020, 05:12:46 AM
Well, I think the forum users just need to take a look at the trust ratings of BayAreaCoins alias Steven Steiner, citation of user game-protect: "extremely mentally ill and or brain dead bitcointalk account". Also complaints in front of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission are mentioned there. I'm of the opinion that the community has to be protected from such toxic users. Several warnings got ignored and triggered him to troll around even more. Therefore and due to repeated abusive behavior in several threads he'll gonna face now consequences out of this forum as well.

I'll be back!

Meh. You're barking up the wrong tree here. You've quoted the biggest troll in Bitcointalk history (game-protect) as fodder against a relatively minor troll (BayAreaCoins). Like most of the internet, dealing with trolls just comes with the territory. Even though I keep up with this thread I don't really understand your beef with him. Just do what I do and put him on ignore. You've got some great insight into Namecoin and have made some real progress busting scams -- no need to make things personal with BAC.
4097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you can earn money from bitcointalk.org? on: September 23, 2020, 04:36:59 AM
Or perhaps you're "new again." LOL.

Yes, this account is new because i forgot the other one i had, what is funny about that? idon't understand the joke, or i said something that is funny?

You as a person aren't actually new to the forum, contrary to your statement. Your account is new here, but you are not.

Usually when someone says they are "new" it means they have no previous experience with something. You said you were new in the Beginners & Help section but in Meta you were reminiscing about the old days of the forum and making comparisons to how it is now.

I remember this forum long time ago, i used to have an account here, i forgot what my username was, but i do remember there was little activity in the altcoin section until the day that Dogecoin thread started then it was all altcoin and every hour there was a new one, then it was the HYIP section and shady casinos, now it seems like the most active threads are about internal politics inside Bitcointalk what most users don't find interesting to read, all those coins that launched here are not popular anymore, new coins and projects are using Twitter, Telegram and Discord to communicate with their community so Bitcointalk has no use for those people.

Just a bit odd for someone who claims to be "new."

Just to add a bit to the topic of discussion: when I first joined the forum, signature campaigns weren't really much of a thing -- well, maybe they existed, but they were the farthest thing from my mind. And there was no such thing as a "bounty." I joined purely to learn more about bitcoin, cryptocurrency and the blockchain. And indeed I have learned a lot over the years.

I joined my first bounty in the 3rd quarter of 2018, and that was mainly to support a project run by a personal friend (the project was a flop and nobody got paid any tokens). After that, I thought, hey, why not join a sig campaign to rake in a few extra bucks for something I would be doing anyway? I do miss not being able to wear my own avatar, but I'd like to think my personality makes my posts and name stand out from most of the crowd.

That's probably the most important thing: if you do join a sig campaign or bounty, don't just go through the motions of writing posts without any sort of contributing substance. Don't add to the spam problem. Find a way to be unique and memorable; of course it helps if you have something interesting to say or can approach a problem/situation from a novel angle. At the very least, be funny. Don't just be an emotionless human spambot.

That being said, I have no problems with people who sign up for the purpose of making money, so long as they contribute in any positive way to the forum. I personally can't believe that sig campaigns were ever a viable advertising model but apparently they are.
