I don't get it, seems as long as you are a 1-500 customer, you can order as much jupiter as you like, I just tested to add 10 jupiter into my cart and it went smooth
It still need to be paid before ~6 days to be valid ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If I announce a group buy and there will be people paying them for me ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I noticed that on their linux machine, they even had a seperate console utility to monitor the status of all the FPGAs (temp, current, power usage etc), this means that they have a whole suite of FPGA related design platform, and they just fit bitcoin's hashing function into that platform
And they said they are not going to have an ASIC prototype, just replace the FPGA with standard cell ASIC and direct go for mass production. I think this is risky, without a prototype, how can they sure all the heat and power usage fall in a reasonable level? Unless they have done this many times before, they might encounter what BFL experienced last year
Why u dont ask them? I asked them and they said that simulation of that part is done by the chip manufacturer, they only have the simulation at rtl level

Due to statistics delay from BTC guild, I can't see there is any PPLNS share submited even after the meeting finished, but BTC guild's dashboard showed 6.2G hash speed for their miner anyway and the chart showed some rising hash rate after we finished meeting ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fphoto.mystisland.org%2Fknc4.jpg&t=663&c=4bRhm5n-BHpgbQ) Others surely have more video and photos to share The most terrible memory is their inhouse parking nearby, it cost me almost $50 for 3 hour's parking, and even if I park for a day it cost only $60 ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif)

It depends on how many people are mining the coin. If there is only a couple of people mining coins with CPU, it still generate 3600 coins per day

Fiat money is not always debt based, if it is asset based (When FED purchase assets), it is no different than gold backed money. The central banks have assets backing the money they issue, but they don't need to issue the amount corresponding to all of their assets, so that they can control the supply
Since those assets' value might drop in a free market, if they issue money based on these assets, it means they artificially support the price of those assets

Why convert, you can directly spend them. I just did a purchase on a bitpay supported merchant, super easy

It's not about inflative or deflative, it's about honest money (generated by today's work) or debt money (generated by future's work, e.g. debt)
Using a honest money, the economy do not necessary need to expand, only when there is a demand. All the investment is using saved money, no debt
Using a debt money, the economy must expand at an exponential rate, all the investment is borrowed from future, that's not sustainable on the physical planet ( might be sustainable in a virtual world)
Bitcoin can also become inflative if all the miners agree to a protocol change, for example, supply increase 3% per year. But even so, it is still very different from fiat money, since fiat money is created without any work, and by only one single entity, and the ownership of those created fiat money belongs to FED
Just like gold mining, create money should be no different than any other type of work. When it is too easy to create money, more people will quit the job and to create money, so that money created by each person will be reduced due to higher competition

I just finished payment using bitpay, so smooth, much easier than paypal, CC, bank wire transfer etc... Bitpay is destined to thrive
A risk investment again, but in my tolerance level. Everyone who paid a pre-order is in fact kncminer's investor, now competition are much harder, hope they will succeed

My checklist:
1. Make sure their FPGA miner works towards a pool (start and stop the miner and see if pool's statistics change)
I'm still curious why cgminer works with their device without involvement of ckolivas/kano/luke-jr, if they are able to independantly make a device that talks to cgminer, that will prove their ability
2. Get as much info about their ASIC implementation as possible, include: Chip design, wafer contract, assembly facility location and capacity

I tried to place a saturn pre-order ($3795), when I reached the final stage before payment, the price becomes $4743, a VAT of 25% is added to the final price Did anyone else noticed this? I suppose that as an international buyer, you are not always required to pay VAT (especially if you select hosting service without shipping), but now I'm in sweden I have to pay VAT for sure ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) (I'm taking the chance and join the first 48 hour buyer, so if no one buys I will for sure get one jupiter + one saturn ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ) I guess your 85gh/s Avalon Asic help a lot.. have the feeling that they want everyone to buy within 48 hour to entitled to the lucky draw because the open day could end up either way. Actually I prefer to pay after I had a look at their open day tomorrow and make an assessment of their ASIC delivery speed, but this lottery really made it difficult. I don't understand why don't they make it after the open day. And I'm not sure the exact starting time of that lottery, maybe it is still not late to pay after the open day
