I, personally, wouldn't mind as long as the message is personalized and prepared for me, not for a hundred people. Just make it useful, show that it was dedicated to certain member, show that you've put in some work in examining and personalizing said message for the member in question and in my books you'd be OK. This is where global mods like SaltySpitoon, grue and the admins, BadBear and theymos, could express their opinion.

It's not NSFW, as it doesn't contain nudity or pornographic images. You can see this on any beach everywhere every summer.

I guess it's not important regarding the usage aspect as it doesn't exactly require much knowledge to use one of the light-weight Bitcoin wallets and it is practically identical to using online banking if you use an online/semi-online wallet, however, as Bitcoin is a technological currency, one should understand how it works as there is no man up top who will adjust the currency so that your salary wouldn't reduce by half in a couple of weeks. When you know how it works, you can observe and predict what will happen as a result of the block-halving, selfish miners not including transactions in blocks, majority of the hashrate belonging to a single entity, etc.
Block-halving do not happen very often so I don't see this as an issue. Ditto selfish miners, there will be another miner to do it (if the normal fee is included, but recent software don't let you send a transaction without a fee), there's more of a problem with hash rate, but is it? Many people don't know that when they pay tax, they do not finance roads or schools but they're financing the deficit and the huge debt the country has accumulated. Many of the world richest countries would be declared bankrupt if there private businesses, but life keeps on going without many worrying. I've merely given said examples as a way to convey what I wanted to say - if you know the technicalities, you can predict and react appropriately to price changes in order to preserve your capital and not have it halve several months down the line. And as I mentioned, it isn't needed to know about how your currency works to survive, but is needed to prosper.

I love when I see self-entitled members "demanding" something to be removed, done, re-added, etc. . It makes me laugh my ass off every time. Just a tip, try to be a bit more polite as he barely loses anything from not removing feedback from a not so well known member who is suspected of having this account bought some time ago while your Trust rating takes a big hit. However, you making this thread in such unpleasant tone has already made your chances even slimmer. You know, I can't help it. It makes me so mad at the lengths I had to go through to prove that I am not that person, and they can just take 2 seconds and everyone believes them. I have been fighting this battle for well over 2 months now to show that I am not that person. You would be EXTREMELY MAD TOO if you had put all that time into it and they can just swoop in and rekindle the whole thing with 1 move. I have never had any dealing with Blazr of any type as well. You wouldn't believe what kind of crap I shovel daily as a moderator from some people. Some that PM me make my blood boil, however, I leave my anger aside, relax and respond politely if the person has some decency to not go and swear at every sentence. I had people threaten me to get me kicked out of staff as they "know some people" (although that provided more of a laugh than anything). Even if he does decide to stick to the dictionary that he wouldn't even think of using if he met someone in real life, my replies are calm and reasoned as in the end, my task is to moderate, not argue with someone who clearly can't accept the rules. My advice would be to stop "fighting this battle", as in the end, you won't win it, and try to reason, explain and understand why he thought you are an alt of that member. Your task in not to defeat the user that left you feedback, you have to convince and reason with him like many do in the civilized society we live in. In the end, if you fail to reach a consensus, your only option might be to leave negative feedback for him leaving false feedback on you.

Do we really need Bitcoin Foundation? As a decentralized currency, a centralized organization is totally inappropriate。
The Foundation was meant to be a representative for Bitcoin in the mainstream world (especially in mainstream business from what I gather). It was supposed to be a some sort of a democratic frontend for the decentralized and free backend, dealing with all the bullshit the non-bitcoiners threw at it. This, however, got twisted to something much less desirable and turned into the organization most of the people in the community feared it will become - an influential group full of corrupt rich people with the intent of becoming even more wealthy and push out anyone from the Foundation that wanted something other (for example, positive development of cryptocurrencies, clearing misconceptions about Bitcoin in the mainstream society or general promotion and spreading awareness about a free and cheaper alternative to transact money, especially online). Although, some might over-emphasize the influence of the Foundation in the Bitcoin enthusiast community but they are quite a big figure which some might notice if they haven't put in much though about Bitcoin or are new to it.

Why you can not discuss security... things like SSL for websites in "off topic" section? Just to clarify. You can. The off-topic section can be perfectly utilised for the discussion of digital security. If it relates to Bitcoin, it has to be in one of the other sections (depends on the content). Besides, I doubt it would actually contain and regularly get enough threads to warrant the creation of a new board.

I voted no. I think that the twitter page is enough to post updates when the forum is down. Let's not forget that this is a discussion forum and having a facebook page for it would be like having a fan club for a fan club. Besides, from an ideological perspective, while the forum promotes anonymity and free speech, facebook encourages publishing lots of information and filtering of said information to keep it often only positive.
