Craig versus Ira Kleiman of Dave Kleiman Estate ?

Who is going to be the winner ?

I bet 100 BTC

If Craig win I will give you BTC100 BTC but if Ira Kleiman win you have give me BTC100 BTC

Any one can bet with me.

I am Moses, BitcoinMoses - The Bitcoin Prophet. Gambling is sin. Please do not gamble. I am just kidding.

3rd Feb - Mark this date on your calendar! Because this is the date when CSW will have to prove his ownership on the bitcoins that rightfully belongs to Satoshi! So everything will become clear on that date which just two weeks away from now!

I am just wondering what happened to the bonded courier from Tulip Trust? Literally I didn't hear anything about it till date after it emerges from shadow! Do you have any news?
4082  Local / India / Re: What's you view on the court case ongoing in Supreme Court-Positive or Negative? on: January 18, 2020, 08:35:31 PM
Well, here is a small update on the crypto Vs RBI case. The hearing happened on 14 Jan 2020 and the judges wanted to start the case from the beginning. Mr. Asim Sood again started from the scratch and presented the matter as favorably as possible! See the detailed update in the below links,

4083  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the real reasons of recent BTC rally? on: January 16, 2020, 06:09:07 PM
Bitcoin is up about 22% in the first 15 days of 2020, notching its best start-of-year surge since 2012, The Wall Street Journal first reported. We expect institutional interest to drive prices higher throughout the year. Altcoins have also soared!

But I want to hear from the senior members what can be the reasons for increasing the Bitcoin price? How the market sentiment is working now? Will it increase more?

It's very hard to conclude a single reason for the bitcoin rally because bitcoin is truly international in every sense! If it was a local currency then it would have been easier to conclude but that's not the case for bitcoin. So I can think of few reasons which may have played a background role,

1. Upcoming halving may have started factoring in.
2. US - Iran war situation may have pushed people to look for alternatives which are liquid in nature.
3. The upcoming judgement on CSW case on proving the ownership of Satoshi's bitcoins.
4. More avenues have opened for institutional investors in late 2019 which has finally started getting traction.

So probably all these reasons have started pushing the bitcoin price higher. But can't really be a single reason there!
4084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Currency swap deals influence Bitcoin price :-< on: January 16, 2020, 03:27:34 PM
https://www.businesslive.co.za/bd/world/africa/2020-01-15-zimbabwe-and-china-sign-currency-swap-deal/

We all know struggling countries with hyper inflation eventually force people to turn to Bitcoin as a store of value to hedge against the drop in the value of their own local currencies.

This has happened in countries like Venezuela / Greece / Cyprus and Zimbabwe and we saw an increase in demand for bitcoins in those countries during these times.

How did you forget Gold here? Gold is the most widely accepted hedge instrument worldwide right at this moment and if you look at the chart of Gold price for last two years, the fact will become as clear as daylight!

Quote
Lately, China has pounced onto opportunities like this to sign agreements for currency swaps to "help"  Roll Eyes these countries. Do you think this might have a huge impact on the decline for the demand for bitcoins and also a drop in the price?

Let's discuss.

I wasn't aware that China offered such kind of help to these countries badly affected by Hyperinflation! I am sure, they are trying very hard to become the next superpower of the world. But I fail to understand its impact on bitcoin, seriously! Bitcoin is no way tied to such national currencies in a way that will effect the price of it! Gold can receive some impact because countries still rely on gold as a reserve asset, but certainly not bitcoin!
4085  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will the Third Block Reward Halving Affect Bitcoin? on: January 16, 2020, 06:15:10 AM
It's a nicely written article. Especially the 2nd narrative given in the article, is what the actual scenario will be! Understand a simple math of demand supply. If the demand of an asset remains constant and supply decreases, the price of that asset will increase. That's a very basic lesson of economics that we all read in school.

So as per the theory, the block reward will cut in half but the demand in the market is still robust, or even increasing day by day! So the price is supposed to be increased! I believe the current surge in price has already factored in the upcoming halving event and should continue in the same path! Let's hope for the best!
4086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 16, 2020, 04:22:58 AM
I don't know what happened with the Ethereum, why this coin's price is not growing that much? Without Bitcoin pumping, Ethereum can't grow a bit. Where BCH or even BSV price keeps pumping like the bull run! Now, 1 BSV coin's price is more than double of 1 Ethereum. I am a holder of Etherem, but day by day I am being frustrated by holding it, it's price is far lower than 200 USD! Unbelievable. What do you think guys? Should I convert my ETH into BSV or BCH for more profit?

BSV is pumping because the FUD of Craig Wright is coming to an end soon. So the holders are just trying to make profit and leave the coin to its doom. Don't ever invest in such scam coins created by scam owners. ETH is standing on a solid ground. If you have been HODLing ETH from sometime, it's definitely not the best time to sell off. If you are aware about the market news, you would know that ETH is changing their algorithm and they will be moving to POS from current POW. The process has already been started from the recent Istanbul hard fork and it is expected that ETH will finalize the change within this year. So stay put with ETH! Patience has its own sweet benefit!
4087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright provided the list of addresses that contains 1.1 million btc on: January 16, 2020, 04:01:35 AM
The attention that the community is giving to CSW is favoring him, he is getting the publicity that he wants and he's taking it to the next level of just showing different addresses that can be seen by anyone publicly without anything to prove.

He can't sign a message because he doesn't own that huge amount of bitcoin. And someone from the court who understands what he's done will certainly give them laughs.

No, rather he is becoming a laughing stock in front of the community! People who don't understand the significance of signing a message using a key, probably favoring him. But majority of the community knows that providing a list of addresses wouldn't make sense! It will only start making sense when he will prove that he also owns the key of those addresses and are able to do transactions from those addresses! Apparently, that's what beyond his capability and the community knows about it!

All of his FUD is going to an end on 3rd Feb. That is the date court has given to CSW to prove his ownership on those bitcoins! 18 more days to go!
4088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 15, 2020, 06:42:22 PM
Your points are absolutely true! Bitcoin is a currency system which effectively eliminates the need of an intermediary and is not limited by international borders! Still we take it as an investment! But here we need to understand why!

Being a common people, how often do you really send international remittance? How often do you really make international purchases? How often do you face such situation where you can't use your bank account to send or receive funds? If you can answer these questions, your concern will also be answered!

Those who need to use bitcoin for anonymous and intermediary free international transactions, they are using it! But the number of such people is very less! Majority of the bitcoin users look at it as a method to make money, either by holding or by trading and there's nothing wrong about it!

Bitcoin is popular today because it has given financial freedom to many people. So if people are happy that way, let it be an investment and a reason to happiness!
4089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK gamblers cannot use Credit Cards for gambling from April 14, 2020 on: January 15, 2020, 05:41:52 PM
There’s a new regulation for gamblers who reside in UK i.e. from April 14th, 2020 you’ll can’t use your credit cards for online gambling. Now on paper this rule does seem harsh, but when I read their reasoning behind this decision I felt they have taken the right approach and it’ll help UK’s citizens. The key reason why I’m saying that this decision is correct because this move shall force people to gamble only with the money they have, but I’m sure many will not like this decision hence you’ll can post below and tell the community why you didn’t like this decision.

Source:

https://www.bbc.com/news/business-51103006

Absolutely makes sense! I didn't know that UK people had such kind of facilities where gambling houses accept credit card payments. It should have been offered at the first place. Because a lot of countries don't allow this and it'sgod ro know that UK has also decided to stop this. In my country, people can't use credit card to even buy cryptocurrencies which is far less riskier than gambling!
4090  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Two Exchanges in 2019 lost over $70,000,000 on: January 15, 2020, 04:36:33 PM

what do you think about exchange security? Do you think there is a certain standard for protection that all exchanges should have?

I believe all major exchanges follow a standard protocol. However, crypto exchanes are a very new industry and no benchmark has been set yet by any concerned authorities. The industry is growing at a rapid rate and new challenges are being surfaced every now and then! I am sure it will eventually come to a standard protocol but will take some more time to materialize!

Quote
I think there needs to be a higher standard and hopefully, in 2020 we will see less of these hacks, that are actually avoidable.

I really hope so as well. But apart from cyber security, I think every exchange must start following the SAFU model of Binance. A certain percentage of fees must be kept separately to create an emergency fund which will come handy during such unfortunate time! This is called risk management and Binance has done really well there!
4091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rapper Akon kicks off construction for world's first "crypto city" on: January 15, 2020, 12:59:58 PM
Senegal has given the green light to build Akon City—a 2,000-acre metropolis that will trade exclusively in a digital currency called Akoin.

Read more: HERE

Akon is paying tribute to his motherland in a great way! If you search Google, his nationality will shows as American but his parents are from a city of Senegal, called Dakar! Akon also lived in Senegal for few years during his childhood and seen the poverty very closely! Whatever he is doing, shows the great human quality in him!

But we would have been more happier in bitcoin would have used directly in his proposed city. That would raised the demand of bitcoin greatly! But nonetheless, it's a great effort by great human being. Kuddos!
4092  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Can Gain 100% In 2020 - Halving Not Priced In, Says Fundstrat on: January 15, 2020, 06:11:31 AM
It's not impossible but very very difficult, especially where the audience is international! It's easier for media to manipulate audiences from a country, ethnicity or a religion by such news but for international audiences, it's difficult beyond imagination and costs a fortune!

A conspiracy theorist will belive in such incidents but for a normal people, it's just a no no! If it had really happened, then we must admit the brain behind this plan, but I really doubt that such big conspiracy has been staged just to keep the price down.

It is more realistic to believe that the effect of upcoming halving has started showing in and hence we are seeing a surge in bitcoin price! It indeed has the capability to make the pricing double because the supply is getting decreased by 50%. If demand remains stable, the price has to jump higher. Simple math!
4093  Economy / Exchanges / Re: which is the best platform to invest in bitcoin using dollar cost averaging DCA? on: January 15, 2020, 05:10:39 AM
hi guys im planning to invest in bitcoin through DCA strategy. Can you guys please tell me best platform or website which offers this service?

Coinbase is really good if you are willing to invest a certain amount of money into bitcoin at a certain interval. So go check coinbase website if they are available in your country. But the fees is higher compared to the other exchanges available in the market.

Otherwise, you can just use your own calendar and choose a reputed exchange like Binance to buy into bitcoin at a certain time interval. That will not be automated and requires a manual effort.

I also know about a platform named "bitdroplet.com" which allows automatic investment in bitcoin. But I have never used them so I am not sure if they are good or not! But you can check online reviews and decide for yourself!

Hope this helps!
4094  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Decentralized Law - How Do We Get There? on: January 15, 2020, 04:19:18 AM
Decentralized law is almost impossible to imagine. Law, in the first place, is a centralized aspect in our lives. There is a common and uniting law that everybody is subject to and should abide with or else the penalty will be imposed on the violators.

I guess, a decentralized law will be more observed if the coverage of the law is at the minimum. For example, we can allow each and every village or community or tribe to create their own exclusive law in line with their cultures and traditions and preferences. At least in this way, there is no one or nothing that is out there that is imposing on them what they do not agree.

I somewhat think in the similar lines! In real world, decentralized laws are not meant to overrule the existing legal framework. But such kind of legal structures are good as an addition to the existing legal structure for some special groups. See the list below,

1. Laws that are made by corporates to be followed in their campus and governed by various stakeholders within their areas of responsibility
2. Laws that are created to be followed by a specific group of people like, political parties, focus groups, special benefit groups, tribes etc. These groups are mainly governed by the existing local laws but uses additional legal framework within their groups
3. Special communities like "Auroville" has a separate set of laws for their own community, can be benefited from such structures

This way decentralized legal systems can be imposed, but they may don't really have any validity in the eyes of the national legal system. I don't think it can have any other real-life application, not right at this moment!

Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire

Just listened that UK new pm has increased the wages of UK employees a few cents per hour, Laughed. When the wages will be small, how you may claim that bitcoin may hit $100K or even a million? People only invest a portion of their money in Crypto, And the government pays a very small amount around $11/per hour. Can this small amount make bitcoin to hit over 100K or a million USD?

If these governments want to make their people rich, they could increase their wages to upto 10 times, around $100/per hour. When wages will be high, more amount of money could be invested in Crypto.

Lol! UK is positioned at number 26th in the list of per capita income. So you have chosen a wrong country as a benchmark! There are hell lot of countries which earns 1/10 of that hourly income! UK is still in a lot better state than many many other countries of the world! $11 hourly wage is indeed a great amount of money! People can still invest a lot of money into bitcoin if they are willing to!

Quote
I hate this, even programmers are forced to work in less budget. When dollars and other currencies are free to be printed and their value will not be reduced even if they are printed a lot more, then which ant is enforcing and stopping the governments to force their employees to work in a low budget?

ROFL!! Who said countries are free to print currencies and its value will not be effected? No countries are allowed to print free money! If they do, they will end up in an economical situation like Venezuela or Zimbabwe! The situation is called Hyperinflation. Have you ever seen a 10 billion dollar note? If not, see the below link,

4096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 04:00:15 PM
First off, we really know that CSW is not Satoshi. But this whole drama and court proceedings will really proved once and for all that he is a pathological liar. But I think that we will not stop from trolling us with his lavish claim. I guess it's about time that we as crypto enthusiast stop talking about this guy and let CSW demise together with his BSV.

Are people going to patronize his BSV, perhaps, but if you're really a crypto enthusiast I think it's about time to stop because of the shady personality behind.

We all indeed know that CSW is a lair. But since he himself had moved to court to prove himself as the Great Satoshi Nakamoto, the court must provide us a happy conclusion! The court was initially awarded the copyright to him by mistake but realized soon after. Now we are happy looking at the way the court is proceeding! CSW took the court for granted and it has now become his biggest mistake!
4097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we have to look at Satoshi chart? on: January 14, 2020, 06:03:02 AM

I have been hearing alot that many analysts recommend looking at Satoshi chart vs Alt.

Why is it that?

And why do people talk about using exchanges like Binance, Coinbase, Huobi, Bispex?

I am really now sure what satoshi chart you are talking about! Probably analysts have recommended looking at bitcoin pricing chart and compare it with alts. But that doesn't make sense! Can you share a link from where you get such recommendations?

Secondly, people talking about Binance, Coinbase or Huobi makes sense, because they are some of the best crypto exchanges in the market. But Bispex?? Doesn't make sense!
4098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 04:38:50 AM
A US District Judge has just ruled that Craig Wright will receive additional time to prove he could still be Satoshi Nakamoto, the self-proclaimed founder of Bitcoin. Specifically, the judge’s ruling comes in the ongoing legal battle between Craig Wright and the estate of late Dave Kleiman, Wright’s former partner.

Wright has until February 3rd to prove he has control over the Bitcoin. So the end of Craig Wright's false claims is finally coming to an end in less than a month!

Quote
What do you think of this measure to prevent scams with cryptocurrencies?

I would say it's a great initiative by CipherTrace. The volume of crypto related scams and thefts are rising at an alarming rate and has to be stopped at any cost because these scams/frauds are indeed spreading negativity about cryptos worldwide and that's not a good thing to have! It certainly calls for a team of trained blockchain professionals specializing in fighting scams. It is very similar in a way when we have seen a rise to the "cyber crime professionals" from the beginning of this decade! Now every company houses a team of such professionals for their own sake!

What surprises me is that, there is no mention of such program in Ciphertrace website. Neither the same can be found in the website of Middlebury Institute in London. What all I am getting is the link of various crypto related websites. Can you please redirect us to a proper address where the details of this programs can be fetched?
4100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Solves This: Bill Gates Talks About the US Wealth Gap on: January 14, 2020, 04:13:38 AM
Bill Gates recently published a blog post reflecting on 2019, in which he noted that his extreme wealth is unfair. Here’s why Bitcoin fixes this:

https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-solves-this-bill-gates-talks-about-the-us-wealth-gap/

What do you think, guys?

I completely agree to the point of Mr. Gates where he said,

Quote
The distance between top and bottom incomes in the United States is much greater than it was 50 years ago. A few people end up with a great deal—I’ve been disproportionately rewarded for the work I’ve done—while many others who work just as hard struggle to get by.

However, I am 100% sure that bitcoin can't solve this issue of income inequality. It would have been only possible if common people can mine it with an average laptop and not on an expensive mining rig. Bitcoin really doesn't give that chance and hence miners with deep pocket are only able to sustain themselves while small home miners a left out from the race!

Bitcoin indeed proves the statement - fortune favors the brave! Those who have jumped into this race during inception, they are the most fortunate ones! Rest all are struggling!
