4081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and governments on: August 26, 2017, 01:10:05 PM
Hi btkers , discussion about the relationship between governments and cryptocurrencies.
Why don't governments officialise the use of cryptocurrencies .
Can these cryptocurrencies affect countries economy?

I think they don't want to legalize bitcoin because they don't want people to use this digital currency in their country. We all know that bitcoin is not stable, it is volatile because it changes it's price every single minute. Think of it, if the government accepts this, it will greatly affect the economy of one's country. Maybe it will be accepted as a payment but more than that, it won't.

I think wala namang nakalagay sa mga rules about URLs maliban dun sa mga links na may refers or referrals. Mahilig ako magshare ng mga URLs na alam kong relatable sa isang topic so I think that is not a spam but an additional information para dun sa OP. Kasi ang point naman sakin is hindi ko siya maiipaliwanag ng maayos with out that link. For example you can read this guideline for posting. Link .
Sana nakatulong.
4083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why compare BTC to USD? on: August 26, 2017, 12:11:09 PM
I think this is because the dollar is the top currecny and they want to aim on what dollat have now. Dollar is ine of the demand currency, and most of the countries used the dollar so if the bitcoin become legalise it can compete to the other currency like dollar.

This time dollar is successful and it is so loud around the world, this will the want of bitcoin to become popular. Like dollar, bitcoin have a chance to become top this is because of benefits and uses in the user.

That is right, it is also said that it is like the international currency it is because US Dollars is the most traded currency of all the Currencies. There are also Yen and Euro but still, USD is at top. You can say it is the equivalent of BItcoin in Digital Currencies, you can read more here in this Link.
4084  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a way of avoiding to change money when travelling abroad on: August 26, 2017, 11:02:41 AM
Depends the country and the rate of the company, you can also use a debit card loaded with btc.
You have in some cases good level of anonymity, fair fees, good valuation for each coins.
But personal suggestion, it's better save then spend btc Cheesy

I think this will be great, but as you have said it depends on the country. I think I will be fine because I am using a wallet from an exchanger, this exchanger has a conection with other countries banks so I can say that it will be great. I don't really tried owning a debit card with bitcoins but I think if I will be going in other countries, it is worth trying.
4085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash a threat for bitcoin on: August 26, 2017, 09:50:50 AM
i don't think it is exactly a "threat" to bitcoin but bitcoin cash is and will continue to be the source of a lot of issues for bitcoin for a long time to come. we saw one effect of it recently with what they did with the miners and how they gave up mining bitcoin for a short time and caused a part of this huge back log of unconfirmed transactions.

Well this is a given since they are aiming for the miners. They made their "original" bitcoin based on Satoshi's and make it easier to mine making miners attracted to it. I guess they are really desperate to make their "Bitcoin" original though it won't happen. Many more issues will come relating this alt coin but I don't think it will interfere people to use bitcoin.
4086  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Libreng bitcoin para sa mga newbie? on: August 26, 2017, 09:17:47 AM

As usual, ang isasuggest ko lang is to read and read. Hindi lang knowledge ang malalaman niyo dito kundi skills din na magiging daan niyo para kumita pa ng mas marami in the near future.
4087  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Aside from Bitcoin and Etherium anong mga coins pa ang meron ka? on: August 26, 2017, 07:46:20 AM

4088  Economy / Economics / Re: How many can resist selling off their BTC for huge profits? on: August 26, 2017, 06:51:34 AM
What percent of people do you think are able to resist selling their BTC when confronted with huge profits they've obtained.  Say 500% or more even?

I think there is still some people who will be holding their bitcoins. There are some people who are still waiting for more, so they will be waiting for a pump again, maybe they are aiming a 600% more. Also, there are still people who do not own that much bitcoin, who will be able to sell off their bitcoins if the equivalent of that is not that really much.
4089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slow BTC Network on: August 26, 2017, 05:53:18 AM
Well fellas, it took two different transaction about an hour each to get just three confirmations. Does this have to do with the fork? Or is it because a lot more people are using bitcoin?

I think the first question here is how much are you willing to pay for your transactions to the miners. You know the game of transactions, the bigger the fee, the faster the confirmation. Maybe just follow the suggested fee of your wallet to not experience any problems . And  I think it has nothing to do with the fork but the fee because this is a problem even before the fork happened.
4090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do you think about pump and dump? on: August 25, 2017, 01:00:59 PM
what do you think about pump and dump?  did you ever trade on pump and dump event? can you give few tips for how to make money from this events? what i need to look for?

I think I don't really care about this thing because I just hold all the time. There are times when the price go back and I didn't really budge about it because I know that it will be having another pump and it did just after two weeks, it is the doubled price. I think we just need to hold and hold, HODL, never stop, unless you need it for something.
4091  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: August 25, 2017, 12:28:28 PM
Yes, nobody knows exactly for how long bitcoin is going to last. But for sure bitcoin is going to have ups and downs in the market that is called market correction. Cool

Well it may last long or something may happen but right now, it would be best to take advantage of what bitcoin can provide to us. If we continue supporting bitcoin, i think it would last a pretty long time.

I think it will be having a long time to live but the thing is that even if it last for my lifetime, in the near future, there will be always a problem about this digital currency, maybe the traffic because there is a lot of users of this digital currency or maybe because of the problems of the persons behind.
4092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when mining is no longer profitable or all coins are mined? on: August 25, 2017, 09:03:17 AM
It won't happen, but I agree it'll be more harder to mine, you can see all the coils are expensive than before.

It will happen, the thing is the coin will be mined but it will take a lot of years more as the mining become more harder that it is used to be. Also, with this the miners will be having a way to have a good profit out of the fees. I think something good will happen if the coins are all mined in the next few years.
4093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scaling issues on: August 25, 2017, 12:22:47 AM
Wtf confirmation times are becoming stupid, over an hour ago I sent a transaction with a 389.341 sat/B fee and it's still unconfirmed. Unfortunately bitcoin isn't ready for prime time.

Many people experiencing this too and being disappointed how the confirmation times becoming longer. I guess we really need to pay a good miner fee in order to make them confirm ir more faster.
With a lot of new countries feeling to use bitcoin now, I think it is still not really ready for the larger scale. How about after the debate? Do you think it will be ready?
4094  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF PRESIDENT DUTERTE and his WAR on the DRUGS in the PHILIPPIN on: August 24, 2017, 11:23:26 PM
He is an evil... Kill people with no judgement... Think about police hate someone then say her/his have drug and ez to shot then ... say sorry... how can ez to kill someone and say sorry?Huh

Then if he is, we need to bring him to the church and condemn him back to hell right? Lol
President Rodrigo Duterte is just doing his job. All the killings are done by the people and he is not included in those. I think without him, noone will be able to found out a lot of personalities being a drug user. What you are saying is the police's fault and not Duterte's.
4095  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Elections, e-voting on: August 24, 2017, 04:40:45 PM
I think e-voting will not be safe.I don't understand how the e-vote system will work.Just see the movie "Man of the Year" and you'll understand what I mean.

The reason they are developing more the technology. Time will come when we don't need to go to selected precincts to vote instead we will be facing our own PCs to do the voting without cheating. Blockchain offers a lot of opportunities, but it needs to be used correctly. There may be some issues about this but I don't think that it will be used in a actual election if it is not really finished.
4096  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need blockchain technology? on: August 24, 2017, 03:51:31 PM
Of course we need blockchain technology.
I really do not know much about coding, but the blockchain technology is something that makes storing information safer and protects it from being altered.
That is something very important in the IT business.
Many businesses try options to use this technology for their purposes, sooner or later we  will see it in many forms in our every day life.

For me, without the Blockchain, there will be no digital currency. Blockchain prevents the double spending. If we will be putting bitcoin without the BLock chain, there will be a lot of people not using bitcoin maybe no one because it will be just double spent. Also, there are a lot of new technologies that making use of this Block chain, I think it will be really cool.
4097  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: August 24, 2017, 02:57:14 PM
The three reasons I invest in Bitcoin are many who accept bitcoin as an online payment in online shopping, it's easy to trade in bitcoin and the last one in bitcoin is very promising because the price is stable and keeps rising

I just hope this is the way the known or popular online sites are doing. Most of the sites that allows people to pay bitcoin is not that known the reason they are requesting they're used site top accept bitcoin. I think the great reason that someone need to invest on bitcoin is because of it's volatility and the possibility of it being popular and widely used by many more people.
4098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you view more favorably, BTC or BCH? on: August 24, 2017, 12:46:24 PM
Bcash is just an altcoin how can you compare it with Bitcoin. Dogecoin and Eherium it's competitors at best  Wink
I wish that were true.  BCH is basically BTC, but without as much community support.  I hope that does not change, but who knows.  I want BTC to win, but time will tell.

Well it is a past part of bitcoin, so you can say that it is an ex-part of bitcoin. It can't be say that it is a Bitcoin because Bitcoin Cash part it's way with bitcoin.
You don't support Bitcoin Cash still you're comparing it to bitcoin.
4099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you view more favorably, BTC or BCH? on: August 24, 2017, 09:46:18 AM
Post below to explain your reasoning. I'm deciding whether I want to sell most of my BCH or whether I should keep it 50/50 for both. I'm leaning on selling BCH, but maybe some people here can convince me otherwise.

We all know that Digital Currencies are very volatile so it is better if you can hold. Either way, Bitcoin Cash is being said that may hit the users because it is being developed. I prefer you hold them and be patient than being hasty, you know that is how digital currencies behave.
4100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how much fiat currency has been exchanged for bitcoin up until now ? on: August 24, 2017, 09:16:50 AM
That the question. Do we actually have any idea about this ?

I have no idea, since you asked, I've read some articles about it. But what I know is the total count of the money but not the total money exchanged to bitcoin. You can read it in the link. http://www.investopedia.com/tech/how-much-worlds-money-bitcoin/. .
