4081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lending via smart contracts on: April 01, 2019, 09:34:51 PM
Somebody tell me he did not believe that lending can work with cryptocurrency.
What do you think?

I think it can work. Why? Read this white paper:
https://www.maxicreditcompany.com/whitepaper.pdf
I have thought about building a platform that enables lending via smart contract but there will be a lot of things to consider which I haven't been able to do yet, one of it is that what will one use as collateral since the loan will be on the blockchain.

Let's say for example you are giving tokens on exchange as loans, how would you be able to trace the person who collected the loan if they refuse to pay, or will there be a way to reverse the coin back to its original wallet, if so then the purpose of the blockchain have been annulled because the blockchain was built to be decentralized.

The easiest lending can be done through automated collateral. You have a coin that you don't want to convert to fiat or to another altcoin but you want to invest in a project that you are sure will bring you profit. You use the collateral to get an automated loan that will give ownership of the collateral to the lender after a certain amount of time.
4082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver Doesn't Own Bitcoin.com on: April 01, 2019, 09:28:43 PM
He doesn't own it but he has control over it. Does it change anything? I don't understand why but the real owner must be ok with Ver taking all the profits. Or maybe he's sharing in secrecy? It's a long article about nothing. What is it trying to undermine? Ver isn't saying that he is the sole owner but a manager and that's what the article is confirming.

4084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can New Animated Series 'Bitcoin and Friends' Make Bitcoin Fun Again? on: March 31, 2019, 10:12:58 PM
Watched the first episode and I can't say I like it. There is too much garbage in it, the jokes are stale and I can't see how it can make bitcoin fun again. But there is the basic information about bitcoin which can be informative to newbies in cryptocurrency. It can be reworked so that it can be appropriate and entertaining to more people.

I feel the same. The long boring story about a poor lonely coin walking around a grotesque world. A lot of death, poverty, abuse, vulgar language. Nothing that you would want to show your kids to make them interested and nothing you'd want to show your parents or grandparents.
I don't know how it's supposed to make Bitcoin popular. It's not even funny.
4085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's value vs Ethereum on: March 31, 2019, 09:59:31 PM
So what is it exactly that makes Ethereum valuable? Like why should I put my money in it instead of Bitcoin?

This is the question many people are facing. Why buy altcoins when you have bitcoin that is much safer.

Usually people choose altcoins because they have smaller markets and it's easier to move them. They are more prone to big ups and downs and they like the risk.
ETH was supposed to get more interesting after the fork with planned POS switch but it's worth less today than it was before the fork.
4086  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you following your gut instinct in trading? on: March 31, 2019, 09:46:31 PM
I am following my gut rather than other people and their predictions but it doesn't mean that I'm not reading and analysing what others think. I just don't act on what they are saying but on my own thoughts and it usually works out well.

You said that we shouldn't trust indicators and I agree because they are sometimes telling us different things. You can see a pattern forming on 1h chart and then look at 1 day and see something else. You have to use your head to sort this mess out.
4087  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic selling and postpone from trading, which one is the worse one? on: March 31, 2019, 08:41:59 PM
It all depends on the situation.

Asking what is better is like asking if jumping off falling plane is better than staying on it. If you jump off low enough you may land on some trees or bushes while others crash and burn. If you stay there's a chance a pilot will land it safely with minimum damage and the jumpers die with broken backs.
4088  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here we are! lovers' of bullish trend. on: March 31, 2019, 08:28:20 PM
We are still far from a bullish trend. It's still a clear bearish move by Bitcoin making lower highs.
Bitstamp Chart:
In December the high price was 4236
In January 4190
Now 4130

Clear lower highs.
If we won't break 4236 in a few weeks it's going to end with a big dump again. This will be the first step towards a bull market. THe second one is going to 5000 dollars again.
4089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are you favourite Indicators for trading? on: March 31, 2019, 08:14:50 PM
RSI being a lagging indicator rarely helps. Most of the time it fails to predict anything so I really don't recommend you use it.

Probably the best are good old trend lines that you can draw by connecting the candles. Especially on the daily or weekly they give a good perspective. I also like MAs and their crosses. Death/golden usually works with crypto. Bollinger bands also work.
4090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling responsibly, is it possible or myth? on: March 31, 2019, 08:08:17 PM
My advice is if you think you are addicted, don't try to leave it completely because it will attract you more. Try to limit it and divert your mind to a variety of hobbies and topics Smiley

Do share your strategies and efforts on how you control it and limit it if you are addicted Tongue

It's not only your advice. It's a common knowledge every psychiatrist will tell you when you go to rehab. An addict deprived of the source of addiction will think only about it and will be unable to focus on work or anything else. For this reason drug addicts are getting drug substitutes first.

I never had a problem with fighting addiction. I'm so focused on my daily routine that I'm always able to control my cravings. I do stuff like gambling, alcohol, drugs, caffeine, sugar, but never cross the line with any of them.
4091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to make profit from a dice game? Have any unique strategy? on: March 31, 2019, 07:56:08 PM
My guess is that dice has no winning strategy. It is mostly a game of probability.
There are some gambling that require a little bit of skill and may also have some strategy to them. Example are football betting, poker..  etc

It is what it is. You can think you're using a strategy but it's really a justification in your own mind. It's only a way for your brain to set things in order.
Like when you tell yourself that you'll play martingale it's not a strategy because we know it doesn't work. It's only made to make you feel more secure in an unsecure world of gambling.
4092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble only with Bitcoin and do you have other favorite alt-coin? on: March 31, 2019, 07:20:50 PM
I gamble with whatever I can get my hands on. When I get some free coins from somewhere I use them. Sometimes casinos give freebies like Yolo gave LTC for free when they added LTC support. I also get referrals so if someone bets another altcoin and I get a share I don't waste time exchanging it but play with what I have.
4093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin is the best in your opinion? Poll on: March 30, 2019, 10:51:31 PM
You put bitcoin so low on this list and it still gets the most votes. It looks like you were trying to hide the most popular coin Tongue

Bitcoin is by far the best and I chose this option. The second in line for me would be ETH. Why is a shitcoin like Lisk on the list but you forgot about Cardano? It's by far a better one than most of the coins in the poll.
4094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: March 30, 2019, 10:39:38 PM
I think those who do not have self-control in playing gambling game are the ones causing fuss in the industry and they can actually become destitute if not controlled. Gambling was made to be played as fun and for entertainment. I remember I started betting from childhood, those days we even bet with our pocket money or meal but it was so interesting because it was fun.

It has always been that way until some greedy or lazy people who feel that’s how they can become rich stepped in. There’s a rule to the game and that is never gamble what you cannot afford to lose. If everyone can just follow this rule, then there will be no issues

Among the most common mistakes of a gambler are high expectations and inability to assess the situation.
High expectations mean that you start gambling because somebody you know won a lot of money or you saw another player win in front of you so you sit at the table thinking it's your lucky day or lucky table or that you have to win today.
Inability to assess means that you think you aren't at a big loss yet or that you still have enough money to win it all back.

If you can't learn on your mistakes and lack self control you will fuck up somewhere in life anyway. It might as well be gambling.
4095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do none of you feel guilty? on: March 30, 2019, 10:33:17 PM
Shilling for casinos, encouraging people to gamble away their savings. SCUMBAGS.
Thank you for this positive feedback Cheesy

I don't feel bad at all about promoting a casino in my signature and I really shouldn't!
  • Casinos aren't considered outlaws they are legal just like liquor stores. Should every liquor store clerk feel bad about selling alcohol that damages liver?
  • By promoting it I make sure people know of its existence. I don't advise anyone to gamble but if they do feel like gambling they should know that my client offers what they want.
  • If I told you to jump off a cliff would you do it? You know what's best for you and no amount of promotion will change that.

Don't blame others for your mistakes!
4096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should humans be free agents in the gambling world? on: March 30, 2019, 10:25:26 PM
I'm a supporter of free markets and free societies. There should be no gambling restrictions as there should be no restrictions imposed on narcotics alcohol and other things. We shouldn't try to control people but rather let them choose their own path and if that path leads to ruin so be it. You can never protect a person from everything so why even bother?
4097  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bestmixer or chipmixer? on: March 30, 2019, 09:52:54 PM
Upon searching who is the best mixer, the bestmixer or chipmixer.

So, at my research, you can conclude which better among them.

 Mixer:                                 Promoter/Manager:        Trust Rating:
BestMixer                             bestmixer                   -2: -1 / +0
ChipMixer                             ChipMixer                 20: -0 / +2

Now, you can decide which is better among them all.

But here is mine if you are going to ask me.

BitBlender                              blender       2: -0 / +1

While I might consider that negative on bestmixer's account I won't because the person that gave it is in the chipmixer's campaign.

When somebody who is being paid to promote a competitor gives negative feedback to you that feedback becomes irrelevant. At least it's how I see it.
4098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: March 30, 2019, 09:13:22 PM
I do watch them always but I bet more on MMA than football or any other sport and it's easy to find the fights on various platforms, even on youtube. This sometimes means that I can't watch them live but it would be impossible most of the time anyway because matches are usually transmitted at night and I have to get some sleep to be able to work during the day so I watch them the next day.
4099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs BitcoinCash Which will win? on: March 29, 2019, 11:10:07 PM
Both coins have different purposes and different roadmaps. Comparing the advantages is meaningless in this case but we can compare the disadvantages of specific coin compared to another coin.

Then tell me what is the purpose of bitcoin cash? It's doing the same thing as bitcoin just in a more centralized way. If people adopt a cryptocurrency they will first choose BTC not BCH which is a clone of the original coin.

ETH is a different thing and as long as there are no smart contracts for bitcoin it will have its use. BCH is useless.

we don’t need to give money, we don’t ask them. I’m telling you again. Go to the telegram channel and discuss everything with the developers.

and what kind of fake accounts are you talking about?

Advertising a token is indirectly asking for money. You want us to believe you are doing it all for free? Why are you bumping a thread if you don't want people to invest?

Those fake accounts.
