4101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO did you invest first time? on: March 29, 2018, 07:24:37 AM
MobileGo for me, and it did increase after ICO for sure. Sadly I made a mistake and did not take profit, but it was up for a little while after ICO. Have dabbled in a couple others successfully but overall I don't like the ICO scene much I'd rather invest in projects already on the market.

I buy your idea too because sometimes you can't really understand if the token is a dumping baggage and you don't see it coming until it splashes in your face like water missed with pepper and you can't do otherwise than either dump the shitty or keep unrealistic hope  Cry
4102  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If a country adopted bitcoin as their national currency, would the US still be a on: March 28, 2018, 10:15:26 PM
Adoption of bitcoin can only mean that bitcoin would be as the official leader. At that time, I think bitcoin would not displace any currency including dollars rather , the bitcoin and fiat would exist differently because they have different mode to be reached?
4103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: CAN THIS BE TRUE on: March 28, 2018, 05:23:04 PM
What I will simply say is that, I see all these negative news items as the real rope for bitcoin to climb to actual popularity because with time, these decisions would not be that rigid in individual organization (networks) and soon a collapse would take over, letting cryptocurrency freedom indeed.
4104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: youtube and blogger have started blocking ICO ads on: March 28, 2018, 01:26:42 PM
a subsidiary of google.com. namely youtube.com and blogger.com have started blocking videos and articles that contain elements of ICO, tokensale, and Altcoin. then how is your prediction for the future of altcoin?

This will not stop icos from advertising. Icos would have to be careful and truthful to their program and not be deceitful in whitepaper. In situations like this, the very best will shine and be recognized in the world of icos. Advertising might not be in these known social networks but telegrams, altcoin forums etc.
4105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happen with ETH Price ? on: March 26, 2018, 08:19:00 PM
Well prior it was because when Bitcoin was congested people were opting to use Ethereum at that time which propelled Ethereum up. Now that Bitcoin has solved the fees issue and the congestion issue Ethereum doesn't stand to gain much from it going down. That is why I believe Ethereum goes down at the same time as Bitcoin right now.

I think your view is an appropriate explanation to the question asked. The fees reduction is also one factor. Icos patronize etheruem alot and in my view, last year had lots of Icos compared to this year and that is affecting the usage of etheruem. Last year helped the patronage of etheruem.
4106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fees are a tax on BTC on: March 26, 2018, 06:04:49 PM
Taxes, like death, are inevitable.  When they go up, people complain.  Txn fees are a form of tax on BTC that goes to the miners.  No-one wants to pay them but they have to.

I just don't agree that transaction fees are tax on bitcoin. Transaction fee is just what it is which is a charge on the transaction carried out for an investor. For instance, banks do charge for services done for a customer and that is not referred to as tax.

Tax is charged by the government and that excludes the charge for service from a company.
4107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Analysis on: March 26, 2018, 04:33:04 PM
The rapid growth of bitcoin in 2018 is not over, but there is a problem with growth. I think we're going to see that the price of bitcoin is going to be $40,000, but I think we're going to see that it's going to go below the $6,000 mark.

Many high-profile government critics and some countries have warned that the currency is risky to invest in encryption, and said to them, these currencies are likely to collapse, because nothing can support their value.

But I think bitcoin has a bright future.

These government would always say such but individually, they all invest in it and also launder money with it. They are all guilty of speaking with both sides of the mouth.
4108  Economy / Economics / Re: Cost of Living Comparison on: March 26, 2018, 11:06:39 AM
I do not think that users have considered cost of living against the strength of a currency. The value of a currency is important. Consequently, if a currency is devalued, it affects the cost of living because inflation would be high. So I think cost of living and currency go hand in hand.

Some countries are small in size, number and popularity yet their cost of living is very high because the country's currency is devalued while some are doing well because their currency is really active and in use giving it more strength.
4109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When we can expect mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies? on: March 26, 2018, 07:25:10 AM

For this adoption, we have everything we need. We have internet, we do not need to make new technology that will allow this technology to be adopted.

So, maybe 3 years, maybe 5 years but it will happen. Do not miss the opportunity!

Did I read anybody giving a specific time or year for that revolutionary adoption? Nope!.  This is because ,in the past financial revolutions where gold was replaced with fiat or paper money, from paper money to cashless represented by loading money in plastic cards, the change wasn't spontaneous. Thus, this present advocation won't catch most people unaware. It must be gradual and assimilating but it will happen.
Adoption won't follow the price, price will follow adoption!

This is exactly what should happen. It is the adoption and usage that will control the price. The higher the request, the effect on price.
4110  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future price of bitcoin? on: March 25, 2018, 08:30:18 PM
Well , I can not agree that the price of bitcoin for the future will be known by anyone. What we just do is assumption because last year, no body expected price to surge the way it did the last few weeks to the end of last year. The price is expected to go higher than $10,000 certainly.
4111  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that bitcoin immune from hacking & fraud ?? on: March 25, 2018, 04:33:16 PM
Hacking an exchange account should not affect a personal account of investors with the exchange. I'm thinking the exchange would still have the record of amount of coins owned by an investor, except they also want to be fraudulent because in actual sense, it is money that was stolen and not record.
4112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How hard is it to pay with bitcoin? on: March 25, 2018, 02:48:14 PM
It is very convenient. From the comfort of your home, you transact business or send money to loved ones. It is very open, no secrecy and the charges are clearly calculated depending on how much one is sending.
4113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are AirDrops exactly? on: March 25, 2018, 10:47:17 AM
How to have an airdrops and where does the airdrops go?

How to have airdrop or be a beneficiary is to sign up with the ico.

Where it goes is to the wallet you provided when signing up with ico company. The airdrop tokens are usually distributed at the end of the ico.
4114  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is the world economy is sliding down? And how bitcoin may help it? on: March 25, 2018, 08:39:39 AM
I do not see bitcoin helping the world economy but rather it can help an individual economy. Obviously, every country will not legalise bitcoin but the individual economy that adopts bitcoin can push in a huge investment when bitcoin is down to get some accruing profit from investment when price go up.  By such profit, the individual country can better her nation and her people by providing more social amenities, building projects, factories and employment.
4115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: March 25, 2018, 06:48:23 AM
It is not clear to me whether we are referring to bitcoin here as metamorphosing in fiat global currency - and this is impossible to happen.

Or, whether we are talking about bitcoin remaining as cryptocurrency and being a globally used cryptocurrency with any fiat currency.

In my view from second paragraph, bitcoin can only remain as cryptocurrency and won't become a globally used currency, replacing fiat. This is owing to the disadvantages. Topping the list of disadvantages is internet facilitation.
4116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Target Market of Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 08:04:26 PM
I think when target group or target market in economics, is simply saying the class of people that a product is made for, its purpose and uses For instance, there are some products that are for adults and children, so we can say that the group for diapers are children and not adults  Shocked.

I can say that the target group for bitcoin is the people, the users. That is, the people who believe it and are investing on it.
4117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: March 24, 2018, 07:14:43 PM
They can only run away freely with investors money because they can't be traced, no ban or jail term for them. This is why we are going to continue having them around. We also have such in the forum but really checked to the minimum level because this forum is highly regulated.
4118  Economy / Economics / Re: Money laundering tools on: March 24, 2018, 01:06:32 PM
it is true that bitcoin is used to launder money from some criminal proceeds, in fact some drug dealers use bitcoin for drug transactions, there is even a movie that tells about it, positively because it is bitcoin known to the world and its price rose sharply, I do not expect bitcoin as a den of crime , let alone the source of illicit money that we should avoid. I hope bitcoin can facilitate financial transactions and also its security

Things are called illicit business they trive in secrecy and government come down seriously on secrecy and illicit. On the other hand, we should remember that bitcoin is decentralized and that means it can not be controlled by just a government or should not be controlled at all. So if we say it is used for money laundering, well maybe the fraudulent people in government decides to take the advantage.
4119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin is the new Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 07:59:40 AM

Dogecoin has been around for ages, while similar to bitcoin in a lot of ways it's not nearly as useful as bitcoin and is nothing more than a joke currency. It will never amount to much, the huge supply will always limit that as well as the overall sentiment in the community.

I won't discourage any hodler to let go of his or her possession since dogecoin is similar to bitcoin. Anything is possible to happen from burning excess coin to adoption of cryptocurrency generally or dogecoin particularly, to political manipulations.
4120  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US Dollar Too Volatile? on: March 23, 2018, 08:14:48 PM
I expect dollar to actually be volatile because it is the most active  fiat, recognized and used for trade internationally. It dominates the exchanges just as bitcoin do. This is one reason. Dominating the market means multiple activities and maybe manipulation around the currency.
