I think it is now official that Brighton is in a relegation struggle

No, Brighton is 16th with 1 match shorter than the bottom three team so Brighton still has a good chance to get out of that zone. Well Sheffield , Fulham and West Brom are pretty much worse compared with Brighton so yeah

as well as they fail to take any points tonight at home to Leicester city due to an error from their goalkeeper, Ihenacho and Amartey got the deserved goal for Leicester who now move to 2nd on the premier league table.

It was perfectly expected by most people. I cant believe people actually think Brighton would beat Leicester, that would have been massive upset for this match

Tomorrow is the Manchester Derby, are you red or blue ?

Definitely red but to be honest, it would be a miracle if United win tomorrow so Im not going to expect them to win because a draw would be enough to secure 1 point from this match ( taking the 2nd position at the end of the season is not so bad though )

4103  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 06, 2021, 04:15:30 PM
Also, thought I was being smart, took a live bet with Arsenal at 1:1 thinking surely they could smack another one past Burnley, but as it turns out, nope!

I tried a different approach from you and went for 1-1 as the correct score at 47th minutes. Its a fairly small amount but atleast the odd was decent though. Pulled the same trick for Liverpool vs Chelsea and nailed it as well, currently trying to win for the 3rd time in a row with this lame betting with Southampton at 0-2 so wish me luck !

I think this is a risky bet though, so I just put in super small amount for this ( ~$4 more or less )

#1  Difficulty identifying opportunity  There are many opportunities in crisis.

I've seen this alot of times. Back then in 2014 when I got to know about crypto and stuff, I encouraged most of my friend to get into crypto as well but no one wants to hear anything about some magical money from the internet lol. On 2017 bull season, those same guy asked me about bitcoin but most of them are still in complete denial about bitcoin because the price back then has reached over $15k. Now in 2021, they are probably sitting and wondering why they didnt buy any back then  Tongue

I cant really blame them on that though because some opportunities seems kinda too good to be true so most people would definitely avoid that and opportunities are not meant for everyone so yeah

Game 1:  0-0
Game 2:  17'  2-0 Southampton

Going for 0-0 on the first match because no one has choose this so far. Goodluck ! Smiley
4106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 05, 2021, 09:59:15 PM
they played against chelsea and didn't even manage to cause any danger to chelsea, it looked like liverpool was playing with team B

You make it sounds like Chelsea is not a team that Liverpool cant beat lol. In case you dont know, Chelsea hasnt lose a single match yet after Tuchel took over and thats how good Chelsea are right now. While Liverpool is in a pretty bad shape so yeah Its either draw or Chelsea to win ( both of these has higher probability than Liverpool to win )

Burnley didn't win any of their last four matches and Arsenal also don't have a good form recently. Burnley got a huge win against Arsenal away this season but I don't think it will repeat itself. I expect a nicer performance from Arsenal in this match and I think they will win it.

Tbh, Im not convinced with Arsenal . Their inconsistent performances kinda tells me that Burnley will be able to pull another draw again .

3-point Contest - Stephen Curry
Slam Dunk Contest - Cassius Stanley
Skills Competition - Robert Covington

Im not sure which one would win the Slam Dunk and Skills competition but Stephen Curry would definitely nail the 3 point contest for sure. Alot of people will go for either Luka Donsic or Chris Paul but I'll go with Robert ( dont know why, just my hunch  Wink ) Best of luck everyone.

@rdbase : how do we determine the winner in case of tie? With only 3 options for this contest , I can see some of us tied at 3 or even 2 correct picks
4108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 05, 2021, 12:00:12 AM
Anyone else made a correct result on liverpool?

Nope, no one made a exact result on Liverpool - Chelsea. Few got close result though. I tried to go for the cheeky result of 0-0 but it didnt work out this time.

@Leea-1334 gets the Yellow Cap this round with 22 points, still cant beat Toke's record with 25 points. Meanwhile Tomahawk still standing strong on top with 8 points differences from the 2nd rank. Grats

hilariousando made a huge 6 position leap this round, currently stands on 11th with 8 points difference from 10th. As well as Big G with 7 position leap on 12th

-snip-
Liverpool won't win the CL this year but i'm confident they'll finish in 3rd or 4th place...Leicester are a fluke and it's starting to show in the recent weeks by dropping points left and right, and West Ham are clearly overperforming and it's a matter of time before they go back to being the old rusty Hammer. Also West Ham still need to play vs. Arsenal, Man Utd, Everton, Chelsea...not easy, will prolly drop tons of points in those matches, good opportunity for Pool and the Blues to secure a CL spot

Yeah Manchester City has better overall performances and after yesterday's game, Im not even sure anymore if Manchester United can hang tight on top 4 until the end of the season . Anyway we will know how this turns out after today's match, If Liverpool can win against Chelsea then Im pretty sure they are going to get in top 4 for sure otherwise it would be hard ( Lets check how Jota play today  Tongue )

-snip-

looking at the current scenario I would say Chelsea can finish in 4th place and Leicester can finish in third place. unfortunately liverpool doesn't have a great chance of finishing in the top 4 this season. tottenham is also in bad shape and will end well below the top 5.

Probably not for now but if Liverpool wins today that would be different story. To be honest I am personally hoping for Everton and Chelsea to get in top 4 instead but this is just my personal preference. Simple reason for this would be I'd love to see how Everton play in Champions League next season  Tongue

-sniped-

Everything is crystal clear now !

In case any of you guys are having trouble following everything from the start , the tldr version would be

  • Pick one player for each category ( 3 players in total ) and write it down in this thread. Still over 72 hours before the match start.

  • Prizes : Freebets for anyone that make it to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position. Limited shirts only for those that participated in the past

I posted the list of the players of each category here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208617.msg56489947#msg56489947 or simply visit this link https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/nba-all-star-skills-participants-lineups-slam-dunk-contest-3-point/183cxkb7fc5a713x5ubu9czyao

Just asked about this and yes!
Everybody who participates will receive a (one) jersey of their choice for entry into this NBA All-Star Weekend challenges competition. Grin

Yeay thanks for asking !

Btw let me summarize few key points for everyone and let me know if I miss anything else

So we need to choose one from the list for each categories below

1. Three pointer

2. Slam dunk

3. NBA Skills Challenge

You will need to have a betslip submitted on this thread for each of the following:
-snip-
Minimum bet amount to qualify is set to: 0.33mbtc per betslip so just under 1mbtc to participant.

According to the latest post, its free and we need to write it in this thread ( confirmed )

To participate all you need to do is give your predictions on this thread in text form, no betting required as those markets aren't available as of yet.

As for the shirt prizes, everyone that posted in this thread in the past year and join the NBA All-Star Weekend challenges competition will receive it as the entry prize but freebets for the prizes will only be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place accordingly

So this is stricly only for those that joined from the past year or anyone that join this year can still compete for the freebets? ( Yes, Freebet prizes Open for everyone )
4113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 03, 2021, 07:30:06 PM
So can you imagine City losing 9 point difference to United? That is as impossible as it gets if you ask me

Its possible for now but it probably wont happens. The chances are there and it is not zero but it just probably wont.

The biggest question of the year for me will be if Liverpool can make it to champions league next year or not.

2 out of the 4 spots available will most likely goes to Manchester United and City. Chelsea and Leicester are still trying to book their spot for the remaining tickets for the Champions League so it would be hard however Liverpool could make it next year if Liverpool win the Champions League

My predictions for this evening -

Burnley vs Leicester - Away win
Sheffield vs A Villa - Away win

Not looking good right now. Burnley vs Leicester currently 1-1 , Sheffield is hanging with 1 goal lead and 10 players right now. I had Leicester and Vila to win as well on superbru, oh well.
4114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: March 03, 2021, 04:38:04 PM
But still have the brand new to come in. Wink

How does everybody feel like having a good old challenge for the NBA All-star three pointer and slam dunk competition? Grin

Is this a new contest to replace the weekly MM or it is just a temporary one for now?

Steve will be giving those who come close once again with the freebets and what ever else he wants to give out as prizes for placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Is it possible to make one with Arsenal / Southampton's shirt as the prizes?  Tongue I missed the last promotions for the Arsenal shirts. Btw, I received my Watford's shirt after the season is over so yeah its kinda feels weird and It would be nice to have those shirts while the season is still running.

So put in your suggestions and we might take a que for this to add to the requirements.

Whatever works for me. Atleast we would have some game / contest to compete with each other every week.

Also I saw this interesting bet on sportsbet's special. If only the odds aren't 1.01 i'd probably drop my free bet on it.  Cheesy

Is there a no option available? I honestly think we wont see $100k this year, probably peak at $80k or something if we are lucky. Its still too early for bitcoin to reach $100k tbh
4115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 03, 2021, 02:04:29 PM
I had the first few close games

Too bad huh, We could have 3 points from Manchester City if the score was 2-1. The two last minutes goal cost us 2 extra points  Tongue.

I'm surprised. Didn't really expect to do well this round. I wonder if the points record will be beaten this week. 9.5 points more are needed for us to equal tokeweed's current best of 25 and there's six games left in this megaround.

Both of you needs to get atleast average of 1.5 points for the remaining matches to beat the record but you will only need atleast 8.5 points out of 6 matches to be equal with Toke's record because once both of you reach 10 correct result prediction, there will be an extra of 1 slam point.

Two more correct results to go for both of you but with 4/6 remaining matches in this round are mostly favourites vs underdogs , its going to be easy

With all these players out of the Leicester lineup, I still expect them to be solid enough defensively. Maybe under goals is a decent bet, even a cheeky u1,5 one.

I went for 0-1 for Leicester as well. Hoping to pull this through for another exact point. I need to catch up to top 20 or else it would be harder in the latter round
4116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 02, 2021, 11:10:26 PM
No doubt about it now. Crown them now as champions of the season for the EPL.

Almost but not yet so they'll have to wait and keep on winning. Assuming that Manchester United win against Crystal Palace on the next match, the points differences 12 . In order to win the league, Manchester City needs to keep on winning all those match until the 34th round but it would be way faster if Manchester United doesnt get full 3 points though

I was so happy when manchester United was showing alot of potential to win the league but City is way better this season
4117  Economy / Economics / Re: Google Finance adds Crypto tab on: March 02, 2021, 09:02:21 PM
And now they surrender. Bitcoin/crypto won.

Its not like Google 'surrender' because adding crypto tab in google finance benefit them as well. Google is pretty much giving what most of their user wants because Crypto is a definitely top search for 2020 and early 2021 so yeah its understandable.

But on a second thought, I feel this is not necessary because this will increase sentiment about crypto correlation with trade stock. People will always want to compate the two market whenak8ng decisions which is not healthy for cryptocurrency.

It works both ways because some people might not even know what crypto is and with this new crypto tab, it will atleast spark some interest from people that read it for the first time.

I found out about crypto when I was skimming through some HYIP ads then found out interesting words in their payment system. That word was "Bitcoin Accepted". Thats how I got to know about crypto
4118  Economy / Economics / Re: Google Finance adds Crypto tab on: March 02, 2021, 06:03:12 PM
It was almost 3 years now but what could have changed their mind that they even have some crypto tabs about the price?

Elon Musk?If someone like Elon Musk would invest in crypto, there is no way Google going to ignore this at all. Tesla is a company that makes most other companies looks petty so with Tesla setting up the bar of investing in bitcoin , this set up an example for the other company as well to take their first step into crypto.

However way back in 2017 2018 there was alot of those crypto based scam such as HYIP, cloudmining and such so it was understandable that Google banned crypto ads

there is one user who is always there in every raffle he is ''foss'' within a week he made wager at least a million dollars  Cheesy you can follow it if you want to be a winner

Foss is not just another regular player. He is one of those high stakes gambling streamer / youtuber. He made several gambling videos in alot of other platform aside from Roobet. His recent videos was mostly about those high stakes $25k / $50k bonus buy in Stake ( real money ) , this is a huge amount even for a gambling streamer

Some says that this guy was one of the early adopter for eth so yeah he is pretty much millionaire right now  Tongue. He can gamble and lose $100k in few hours like it was nothing.
4120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 01, 2021, 11:33:14 PM
By the way, Liverpool managed to win the match after 4 match of defeat in the EPL, do you think Liverpool are ready to get back on the winning track after this?

It was against Sheffield and its really hard to say that they are back on track yet. Their next match would be against Chelsea and Tuchel hasnt lose a single match yet with Chelsea so it would be a tough one but it would definitely serve as a good match to watch considering that both Chelsea and Liverpool is quite aggresive

so i assume a 1 - 1 draw; with Southampton getting a late equalizer

Looks like you missed this one and Southampton continue their losing streak
