4101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 04, 2019, 05:31:18 PM
The race for the 4th place is so pathetic.
It seems like no one wants to take this position and qualify for the Champions league. Another poor performance from Tottenham and I hope now that Chelsea is Going to win tomorrow and get the 4th place.
4102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain a perfect solution? on: May 04, 2019, 07:58:25 AM
We live in a world where our online IDs are in the hands of the government and banks, and we rely on them to keep it secure. Blockchain IDs on the other hand, put you and you only in control. Therefore, you can store all your passwords and any other personal information on the blockchain, eliminating the need of passwords in everything. In the future, these ID services could be applied to government services, medicines and any other record keeping agency.

Blockchain system exist to combat greed and middlemen and to give individuals ultimate control of their identity and activity. In a blockchain future, we will see a world where our medical records are immediately available if we are in an accident; where online voting was possible; and where transparency was paramount and greed is disincentivized.

For the next generations the blockchain technology is a solution.
We need a lot of time for the blockchain mass adoption however. The young generation is exposed in this ecosystem but the elderly still haven't discover the decentralized world. Having said that, there are still people who do not want the blockchain technology to be omnipresent due to the fact that there are still different target groups that needs to be served.
4103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 04, 2019, 06:38:11 AM
Looks like Bucks are going to command a lead in the series with a possible win tonight.
Up 13 now in the 4th quarter and they played well like they did in game 2.

Giannis still playing at its best and his teammates are really stepping up, so a win is a well deserve for this team.

I am very happy that bucks won this game and Giannis showed that he is the MVP of the season at least for Bucks and the east.
After the first game I read a lot of comments in forums that said that Giannis will not be able to compete in this level and he proved them wrong. He has a solid performance and he is unstoppable in this game series.
4104  Economy / Economics / Re: China's Proposal To Ban Cryptocurrency Mining Has Little To Do With Environment on: May 03, 2019, 06:40:36 PM
I think that there are other factors that we don't know and we will possibly never know behind this discussion of banning cryptocurrency in China mining.
The harm that crypto mining does to the environment are little to zero compared with the pollution tha factories, cars or other entities do.
It is just a false proposal that is targeted to harm cryptocurrencies.
4105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 03, 2019, 04:46:13 PM
Also, after the yesterday's Chelsea match where Eden Hazard was benched hard, the rumors about Stamford Bridge has started gaining popularity again.
Sarri told that he benced him because he needed rest after 10 games, but this was just a silly excuse. It is dumb to bench your best player in the most important match of the season.
4106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 03, 2019, 03:10:34 PM
Everton play Burnley tonight, neither team has much to play for. I think it’ll be a low key game but I fancy Everton to edge it & win.

Everton's win doesn't worth it to be bet tonight.
I will try Burnley's win or bet on a score between the two teams as it will give more odds that the 1.70 that is the return for Everton's win.
4107  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia to replace USD reserves with Bitcoin on: May 03, 2019, 12:39:08 PM
Due to US sanctions , Russia may well start to invest its reserves in Bitcoin. Ive heard this rumour for months, but it looks more and more logical and likely.

https://toshitimes.com/russia-plans-to-replace-u-s-dollar-with-bitcoin/

This article sums it up pretty well and if it does become true, it will surely bring a very strong bullish trend .

Very interesting news.
It will be a totally good sign for our community and the cryptocurrency industry but I wonder how much instability is going to be created around the world.
I can see that these games between Russia and the US are very dangerous that can cause irreparable damage to the world economy.
4108  Economy / Economics / Re: New recession is around the corner on: May 03, 2019, 12:32:44 PM
Last big recession was in 2007 and the next one is long overdue.

This next one is going to be on a much larger scale and last longer than we expect.

The signs are all around us.

First, the Avengers Endgame was so hyped and in the end it was disappointing.
Game of Thrones final season was hyped and so far very disappointing.
Star Wars will probably be disappointing as well.

All of them have a huge budget yet they somehow went on and made a crappy production. Why?

They know the recession is due and they are saving money everywhere they can.

Your correlation is partially right. But all these movie organizations didn't necessarily rely on bank loans in order to fund their projects. They were already successful and profitable. I Believe that the sign of the next economic crisis is the fact that we undergo a long period of economic growth will low interest rates and this usually blows the recession.
4109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you buy with bitcoin? on: May 03, 2019, 11:26:51 AM
Bitcoin has not yet impacted the real life of people by I think that mass adoption is coming slowly and steadily.
In my country the government is thinking to allow the citizens to pay taxes in cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin/Ether/Ripple) and this is going to be a huge step forward. The sad thing that if this happen then the environment will be somehow regulated.
4110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin remain above $4000 this time around? on: May 03, 2019, 11:24:34 AM
Since December last year that bitcoin fall below $4000 it has make several move of crossing above $4000 and it always get dumped after few days. I think a strong resistance has been created a little above $4000  and that is why we have not see a good recovery after this bear market.  As at this moment bitcoin is trading around $4,052 across most of the popular exchange and my question is will bitcoin get below $4000 again or it is on the part to break the resistance level that has been pushing it backward?

And now it is proven that the price of Bitcoin is above 5000 USD. This is the existence where bitcoin is still believed to be a commodity future. Correction in the market is a normal thing I guess. Since 2018 the price of bitcoin has dropped dramatically and is now starting to recovery again.

The increase is satisfying because the price moves around 5500 and it seems that there is a solid support at that level.
Many people say although, that we will hit 6k and then we will head down to 4k and from that point the bull point will start. I really don't think that this is going to happen but I keep a backup.
4111  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 03, 2019, 11:05:57 AM
Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Full report: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/

The system is transparent and countries are established entities.
Scams usually happen when the scammer is anonymous or they try to raise funds through an ICO.
Neither or the latest will ever a country do, especially another respected country. However, I would agree that we need more compliance if we want to see the system work flawlessly.
4112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to resist? on: May 03, 2019, 10:46:58 AM
Not gonna lie i was a addicted gambler when i was starting my journey on bitcoin community. But then i eventually faced some lossed made a lot of mistakes and learnt from them. The best way to cut this addiction is to play gambling for fun instead of making money. Do not try to cover your losses or try to double your money. No strategy will beat the house edge no matter how much you try.

Αnother Advice is to spend some time with your family or with other things that you enjoy, so you won't think of gambling.
I also play some games online with friends in my spare time which doesn't let me thinking about sport betting or other ways of gambling because I am focused on gaming.
4113  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Remember △they△ work to divide us on: May 03, 2019, 10:11:53 AM
Humans are tribal and the governments use this to control us. They demonize other countries, other races, other religions. Fight against it though, we're one people.

The US government and media wants me to hate China, Russia, Iran even though my own government and media are much more likely to imprison or manipulate me. When Russia bought ads for the 2016 election they promoted divisive issues, BLM, racism. Always keep in mind who is in power. Always remember that other countries are full of people like you. Don't let △them△win.

It is the well know divide and conquer.
If we humans get united then they will have such a bad time and they won't be able to rule. They keep feeding us with hatred and they separate us with religion, political choices, sports, even with gender.
I don't trust them anymore and I hope that people will realize that this dividing is not good for us but for them.
4114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: May 03, 2019, 08:06:29 AM
Amazing win from 76ers! Do you guys think that they can qualify to the next round?
Embiid was on fire and Butler was very good as well. It was sad for Leonard as he scored 33 points of 95 and the team still lost. Now Philadelphia got the lead and they have to keep it in the next matches.
4115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 03, 2019, 08:00:08 AM
As expected, Manchester Utd's midfielder Ander Herrera should sign a 4 year contract with PSG. The French won't have to pay any transfer fee.
Mu might sell Romelo Lukaku this summer. They're thinking of replacing him with Everton's Richarlison.

Manchester United instead of making some steps ahead they are going back.
Why should they sell Lukaku which one of the best players and substitute him with Richarlison which is not so good right now?
And who is going to be the buyer of Lukaku? Does anybody know?
4116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: May 03, 2019, 07:14:21 AM
Good result for both premier league team Arsenal and Chelsea. Arsenal success with 3 goals at their home but with 1 goal also from Valencia, they still not safe on 2nd leg at Valencia home. On the other match, Chelsea got 1-1 at their away match, still a fair result, with this 2nd leg on chelsea home, it's a good chance for chelsea to qualify.

There is no doubt in my opinion that Arsenal is going to qualify for the final. I don't see that Valencia can challenge them in the second game and score the needed goals.

On the other hand, Chelsea will have a difficult game in London. They have the advantage of the away goal but Eintracht seems to be a strong team and a solid team.
4117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 02, 2019, 12:44:34 PM
Again with the losing of Denver Nuggets in their homecourt but can still win the series. Dejavu with San Antonio Spurs.

Weakness of Denver is their offense. They can do rebounds and hard defense but who will shoot afterwards is their problem.

Murray is not working too well and Jokic cannot do it all the time. Although he had been playing 42 minutes he cannot do all the plays.
They stopped Lillard and McCollum but they are still short even with Milsap controlling the paint.

Still, I love the offensive awareness of Jokic. He is really something else. Almost a genius in basketball.

McCollum is a good player but I don't consider him as a threat during this series.
In the first game he have 7/17 shoots which is a disappointing rate. He seems out of form and Denver should take advantage of it if they want to break the series now.
4118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: May 02, 2019, 10:10:44 AM
Difficult match for Chelsea tonight.
Eintracht is a difficult enemy for the English club as If I am not mistaken Chelsea's football find difficulties when they play against German clubs. I think that there will be many goals in this match so I will bet an over 3.5

4120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (BTC) Gaining Interest From Investors, VCs and Tech Companies on: May 02, 2019, 07:56:16 AM
Bitcoin (BTC) Continues to Gain Interest From Investors, VCs and Tech Companies. The crypto industry is alive and well following Bitcoin's recent 35% rally.
https://sludgefeed.com/bitcoin-continues-to-gain-interest-from-investors-vcs-tech-companies/
Here is a recent article which talks about how big name companies even in the stock market are shifting toward bitcoin and also the private equity world has been very active even in the 2018 bear market. Also points out some interesting data

As long as it is trusted from the ordinary people, companies and VC's see an opportunity for profits as they can expand their market share.
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have started getting much attention from large corporations. The recent example is Elon Musk who made a tweet writing "Ethereum" showing that he has some interest in this project.
