Springing for MS store credit to hopefully get a Rocket Box instead.

Thanks for everyone's insight and feedback!

Update: Much props to Dan Murtha of Minersource.net (co-founder).  Hooked me up with the store credit gift card in the exact refund amount of my X-1s.  Time to let it Rock let it Rock let it Rock!  Would go for Ant S3 if they had it, but that ain't shipping until late July anyways.

Please lock this thread, it is getting quite annoying...

Quit with the FUD.

It ain't over until the 5th...

Got an email back from Minersource.

Should I get added to the refund queue and wait it out, or get MS store credit immediately to get potentially a Rocket Box in a few days?

What you guys think?
4104  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 30, 2014, 09:06:37 PM
My letter to MS has been drafted, need some concrete information soon or off it goes.

better send the letter and get your $$ back, BA still does not disclose their compensation plan wich means it will be crap just like their lack of information given about production..
do you realy think they will clean up there act at the last minute.?

15 minutes, then it will be sent in, I can take the waiting, it is the lack of information after being told quite blatantly last week that these things would ship Monday.  I gave notices saying I would ask for a refund unless new information was posted about updated timelines and that has failed to be done, as such, it is out of my hands soon.

My refund email is already fired off.

Couldn't take it anymore....

Well Christ I do not believe Diff will continue to rise @ 20%

Probably not, at least not forever …
Who will be shipping new equipment over the next 45 days ?

KNC (lots of Neptunes), Bitmain (S3, S2 upgrades), Spondoolies (SP30)

Anybody else ?

Rockminer's RK-Box is shipping in a few days too I believe.

Also, BTCGarden's blades are shipping now also.

OP havent been online since june 5 and thats very bad for the campain Sad

Not only bad for the sig campaign, but also to his business, as the complaints are ignored for weeks (eg. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=578682.msg7269357#msg7269357).

But, OP may have planned this in the beginning and will never come back. Wink

during weekly payout he also was almost never online, so that does not mean anything, except that he's a pretty poor businessman.

but hey, if he's earning money, who cares? And if he's losing money too bad for him, he still gotta pay up. But we'll know for sure in 5 days.

Exactly 5 days is nothing, it'll come quick.  If Updown decides to show up, good for us.  If no word or payouts by mid-day then he won't be able to conduct any business with any of us in the future.  His site will be sure to shutdown if this happens.  Tick tock tick tock on the clock, UpDown.

Giving MS the benefit of the doubt until 4-5PM Eastern for a tracking #, then it's off to refund land.
4108  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INTEREST] CoiningSolutions.com Bitmain AntMiner S3 List on: June 30, 2014, 02:29:55 PM
Chuck it's kind of a bummer that after 400+ posts the guy running the thing hasn't posted itt for three days and is nowhere to be found on the day sales open up.  The way the site is being bombarded it looks as though this batch will sell out quick so the GB idea may be DOA.

Also, BitmainTech said shipping will be somewhere between 7/10 & 7/20

Yup, thanks for pointing that out.  Just wanted to see Waldohoover's take, as it could be awhile before Batch 2 opens up(possibly early August), at the rate Bitmain's getting slammed with orders.
4109  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INTEREST] CoiningSolutions.com Bitmain AntMiner S3 List on: June 30, 2014, 02:18:57 PM
Waldohoover, any word on this Group Buy yet?  When will it start and what group buy price will it be, since Bitmain announced 0.75 BTC to the public?

Bitmain already opened up sales, and people are buying them left and right (minimum order of 2).

Just curious to see as this first batch of orders will ship out July 10th.
4110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 30, 2014, 01:55:51 PM
I think I will buy 3.

BTW btc is up to 618 usd.

Now since I purchased 2.25 btc at 560 usd specifically to buy these.

Should:

 I tell myself they cost  me  .75 x 560 usd = 420

Or should I tell myself they cost me .75 x 618 = 463.50

Hey   s1gs3gv

how should I do cost basis?

Neither, you'll never mine that 2.25 BTC back.  Doesn't matter if you mine the fiat value back, you're losing coins.

Wow Goat fucking and Shenzen Miner fuck machines on the same thread!   Shocked Shocked

Probably a sign we'll see the apocalypse before an X-3 ever ships.

Unfortunately bobsag3 I may have to spring for a refund as well.  If I don't have a tracking number by the end of day Monday, a customer can only be so patient after a 5 month delay.

I am not into that.

That ewok is creepy as f###!

I bet he has pre-orders shares though.   Wink

They should just have sold one half of the x3 at 1Th and called that the x2 Smiley just simple logic.

True that.  That's why I thought the X-2 was 1 TH/s initially, because the X-3 is 2 modules at 1-1.2 TH/s each.
4116  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 27, 2014, 05:27:05 PM
Thanks sorehammer!  Definitely missed or forgot about that update somehow.

Wonder how it'll look in a case?  Maybe BA should've made the X-2 two or three hashboards, to compete with the S3, BTC Garden Blade, and the RK-Box.

240 GH/s barely is an upgrade over the Antminer S1 hash wise, although it does have better power efficiency.
4117  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 27, 2014, 05:05:50 PM
The X2 is a single X3 board hashing at 240ghs.

That sounds pretty sweet... a 2 chip board. Does it have a controller or can you plug it into another BA for control? It looks like all the X-1 boxes have the ability to manage more hash boards in software if you look closely at the management IP gui.

If so I'd like to hang a bunch of those off my X-1s! That would effectively turn them into control devices for X-2 boards. Which would make the investment into X-1 boxes suck a little less ;-)

Is that confirmed for the X-2?  Was it an update or on the ecointalk forums?  Must've missed it somehow.
4118  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 27, 2014, 03:17:11 PM
Does anyone know exactly what the X-2 is?

Maybe it's their 1 TH/s line, in between their X-1 and X-3.  Or a new Scrypt miner?

If I had to put money on it, I'd say it's their mid size miner, so 1 TH/s.  Pure speculation of course.   Cool
4119  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Here's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK at your Monarch! on: June 26, 2014, 06:24:07 PM
Believe what you well, but I truly believe that Nibbknot is PG. Notice you haven't seen Bruno Kucinskas around for awhile have you? All indicators point to Nibbknot being Phinnaeus Gage. Believe what you want. You may still consider me a shill, but at least in my heart of hearts I know I'm telling the truth. I'm done with this guy.

How many alt accounts do you have, PG?

Just endless possibilities for trolling, but obviously the same forum "voice" style.   Tongue
4120  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 26, 2014, 06:08:35 PM
DO NOT BUY THESE ASICS!!! I keep telling you people!

Right now, at 13.4 billion difficulty, a 500 Ghash miner will get you 0.01868 BTC per day!  That's it!

And when the difficulty adjusts to 17.1 BILLION in 3 days, it will make 0.01471 BTC per day!

At the current price of $568 per BTC, that is $ 8.35 a day, before power costs and before purchase price.

ROI - NEVER!!!!! Shocked

Send your money to ME if you are so determined to piss it away on something!!!!!  Cool

At least I will invest and spend your money wisely, instead of letting it go to some ASIC company owner laying on the beach and laughing at all the people who bought an already obsolete miner.

Stop making sense!   Angry

We don't need your logic to dictate here, we're busy trying to throw our money at these money pits, I mean miners.   Cool
